Teaching modding to Fundy

I’m just a funny copycat it’s probably the comment I get the most on my videos but the truth is now is kind of the opposite kinda see a lot of people make that comparison because on of how I edit my videos which which is fair it’s fair

But a lot of people seem to make that comparison because I make Minecraft mods and and that I have an issue with see the little distinction is that Fundy doesn’t make Minecraft I mean didn’t make Minecraft mods he made plugins now the reason I use the past tense and said

Fundy didn’t make mods is because now he does make mods he switched from plugins to making fabric mods and I’ve had a part in teaching him the basics and so today I figured I would talk a bit about it uh because I why not I thought it

Would be fun as well as looking for vases uh because I figured I could use some decoration for my house so how did it start well it started the first time I Blew Up For Real uh when I made the Minecraft the splashes Now video so at that time fondy just started following

Me on Twitter and sent me a DM saying hey man I love your video uh the splashes one was nice just keep up the good work which at that point I was like wow that is really really cool because Fundy is like one of my two biggest uh inspiration

Sources uh the other one being Phoenix or at least at that time that was the case and uh so yeah that was pretty big of a oh I forgot these do that uh so yeah I was pretty proud of that and uh nothing much happened until a bit later I think

It was a few months after when I started college MP which is the SMP I’m playing on right now with chess custom coal MODs like these vases they did a stream uh for the integration of the server and on that exact stream at one point a certain

Fox came up in my chat and I was generally I oh my God okay that’s that’s a bit too many and at first I missed a few messages he sent uh so I was generally surprised when I made a chat was calling out for Fundy uh I thought

My chat was making fun of me for that exact same reason because you know people called me a Fundy copycat so I took a few messages for me to notice that he was actually indeed in the chat uh which by the way from the like committed to the bit amazingly which was

Really funny that’s the thing I noticed about fondy is that he does commit to the bit a lot uh even outside of videos run run run run run so yeah in that stream chat he was basically just uh taunting around but if you follow me on Twitch you may notice currently at least

Right now uh my banner is a stream message of fondy saying stop copying me which I thought was really funny because I was basically saying to my chat oh um what are you guys doing are you guys just calling me a funny copycat at that exact time funny was like okay here’s

The bit here’s the bit stop copying me to to me which felt amazing because like I don’t know I thought it was hilarious that he was you know in on the joke as well uh oh other side oh that’s cool okay um and even though Dundee’s didn’t stay

Long enough that still gave me enough courage to hit him up on Twitter and uh just suggest hey maybe we should do something at some point together uh maybe we could do a video together have some stuff in the works that you could be interesting for and uh yeah he just

Because of that added me on Discord and uh we we talked just a tiny bit and talking would be like giving it too much credit because back when I didn’t know funny as well he just he just would send creepy Gifts of monkey just to say one

Word it’s it’s it’s it was terrible so yeah after adding Fundy on Discord I think it was like a month later or something like that um I hit him up to record with him uh for the ghost hunting video the one where I transformed Minecraft into a

Horror game based on phasma phobia with an asylum and uh yeah the recording was really nice it was really exciting to to play with him and yeah overall he had the funniest reactions uh out of all the guests in my opinion that was overall a great time then nothing much happened

Until one day system Z hit me up on Twitter uh because Mystic cat was supposed to run called with him and Mystic cat wasn’t available so Misty cat apparently vouched for me which surprised me a bit because I didn’t drag that much with Misty but apparently they

Thought really highly of me which I appreciate which just came as a surprise so anyway I recorded the system Z video uh we were playing Jenga uh so with fondy and Nafi and well you know obviously system Z so yeah after the video was recorded we hung out and

Chilled for like 30 minutes to an hour and during that time we came up with an idea of maybe working together on like some sort of mod video uh meezy and fondy and at this time Fundy mentioned that you know he was only doing plugins So that obviously that wouldn’t work and

Out of nowhere I just suggested hey I I could teach you and I think it was like a month later or something like that yeah I know a lot a lot of gaps in this story fondy just hit me up and was like okay let’s set a time to to to mod

Together so you can teach me the basics and uh we can do something together maybe and so yeah after setting that time we got in a call I taught him the basics over the span of I think it was like two or three hours I don’t exactly

Remember at the end of the call I mentioned too funny that it felt a bit ironic that I was being called so often a fondy copycat and that now I was teaching him how to mod he said yeah I know how you feel but truth is your

Content is actually the content I would have liked to do if I knew how to mod you made a mistake teaching me how to mod which obviously was part of the bit um but I’m terrible at understanding sarcasm and I always have that little voice in the back of my head telling me

Yeah but what if he was serious yeah but what if that person was serious when they made that joke uh so that that kind of messed with me a little bit after that I was like did I actually do the right thing you know because modding is

Kind of like an at least for a long time I thought that modding was kind of the only thing that made me unique on this platform so I felt kind of bad because of that but even though that feeling would stick for like a few weeks it

Would dissipate very quickly when uh I at one point I was talking with fondy about going to the United States to see my partner during the holidays and at this point he said hey if you’re in that time swing by Vegas and I was like hey

What what’s in Vegas and it was like yeah there’s like food there’s like stuff to do and Twitter likes so I don’t understand this at first when he said it because you know there was as they’re playing something and I didn’t know what uh he wanted to meet up they just just

Wanted to meet up that felt like a bit out of the blue because we weren’t that close friends uh in the first place I did ask him some help for some help on like the uh the ghost hunting video thumbnail uh and I did teach him modding

But you know that that kind of was just that at that point but you know what I I said hey why not sure so when I arrived to the US uh I planned a bit to swing by Vegas because I was staying in San Francisco very short like two days ahead

Planning only to notice that I was planning to order a plane ticket which was way too expensive because they wanted to order way too late so instead me and my partner just drove there for eight hours and so yeah after that eight hour drive I met with fondy and James

Because Fundy was staying at James’s place and while I was there we had a lot of fun in Vegas uh we went to do some rock climbing we went to like the most haunted Museum in the world we did some cool Escape rooms and I remember one

Time because I was driving Fundy and my partner around uh when we were doing stuff in Vegas and I remember in the car I don’t remember how it came to be in the conversation I don’t remember if it was like someone mentioning that I was weird but my partner told one thing that

I did when we were together so one day we went with my partner to like a park we walked in the park in like San Francisco it was really nice and at one point I think I see like some sort of mouse or hamster just run into a hole in

The corner of my eye while we’re walking so my instinct when I see that is like I take off like I I stop holding the hand of my partner I run up to the whole Crouch and yell down the hall what’s up hamster boy and then I just did that out of nowhere

Because you know that’s the kind of things I do because I don’t know I’m quirky or something I swear to God I don’t do it on purpose so my partner told this story to fondy while wearing the car and just it started laughing he said yeah that’s pretty funny that’s

That’s really funny I I would have done that myself but another thing that happened while I was in Vegas was fundy’s baby video coming out uh this is an idea and a video he was working on and I helped him a little bit on it a

Few times at like 3am or something like that Fundy would hit me up and be like rats I need your help and I would just help him and Fundy would often show me progress that he would record because he wanted to have that inside the video he

Wanted this to be a bit in the video where I would like react to the stuff he would be coding and so while I was in Vegas on the three days I was in Vegas this video finally came out and so when I watched the video I was like damn I’m

Nowhere in it and while Fundy did mention while we were rock climbing that his editor ultimately decided to cut me out of the video because I don’t know if I I don’t know I’m just not entertaining or something when I watched the video I was a bit disappointed to see that was

Not credited anywhere uh that hurt kind of a bit but at the same time I can’t really blame Fundy for that but thinking back on it Fundy has helped me with quite a few things like giving me a lot of uh input feedback advice on YouTube

Thumbnails and stuff like that so all in all I can’t really complain you know I got a cool chill friend out of it and uh that’s also one more model in the world to do either oh some more cursed mods so there’s that
