Hello everyone silent here and welcome back to another minecraft video today i’ll be showing you 18 minecraft tips that don’t get talked about enough these are tips that i’ve picked up over my years of playing that i would like to share with you because they are super useful they’ll help you play minecraft And better smarter and faster ways if there’s any tips that you think i missed in today’s video then let us know in the comment section below let’s get a whole thread of useful minecraft information going and maybe i’ll even make a part two of this someday but otherwise let’s Jump into it one of the best tips you can ever have is to constantly and consistently make world backups as you can see i have 72 worlds but if you scroll down a little bit you’ll see a lot of copy ups the reason why you should consistently make backups of your World is because you never know what might happen you might accidentally disable achievements or maybe it gets griefed maybe it gets corrupted or maybe you accidentally delete the world while trying to make a backup of it there is a lot of things that can go wrong so just Having those backups is a very good safety net if you want to take this a step further i would highly recommend making backups of all of your minecraft data in general if you’re on bedrock edition just go ahead and copy your entire com.mojang folder this will copy All of your resource packs all of your worlds your skin packs all of your settings and literally everything is that you have that’s important it will copy that so copy this entire folder and put this onto your desktop or make a safe backup location that way in case you accidentally uninstall minecraft or If your computer bricks or something you will always have your precious minecraft data if you’ve been playing since the days of limited size worlds then you might have this one built into you however we’ve been a little bit spoiled with the infinite size worlds of a bedrock edition so it’s always a good Practice to leave a certain direction of your world unexplored so just don’t travel in that direction like at all for example your base might be around zero zero and maybe you’ve explored all the way to the west and you’ve gone all the way east and you’ve explored south quite A bit as well so you have a lot of generated terrain in this area of the world you’re not really going to be getting new features in these areas of the world so if a new update comes out you can’t explore these areas to get like the new mountain biomes for example However if you leave the northerly direction unexplored you only need to go like a couple hundred or maybe only like a thousand blocks to get brand new terrain get the new caves get the new mountains or get whatever new features are being introduced and the newer Updates this is a very good idea not only does it reduce your world size and make it easier to handle and prevents your world from getting clunky and slow but it also makes it extremely easy to get those new features when they are released on the note of being smart About world exploration this is something that i’ve recommended so many times but use the website chunkbase.com this is absolutely amazing for finding structures in your world so it works for bedrock and java and as you can see you can find all of these things so you put In your world seat select your platform and then you can even select your dimension as well and then it shows you where absolutely everything is and it is just so convenient for exploring your world so if you want to know where an ocean monument is you can easily get the Coordinates of one and go directly to there as you can see this can save you a lot of time it reduces your world size by optimizing your travel not only that it also shows you where biomes are too one of the absolute best things that you can do in minecraft is befriend Villagers they are absolutely treacherous to work with sometimes but they are also the ticket to the end game if you haven’t done anything with villagers you seriously need to start using them here is the trade chart on screen right now and there are so many easy ways to work with these guys they Can sell you basically anything that you would ever need from a building blocks to enchantment books full diamond gear and food and literally everything else if you want an easy way to re-roll the villagers trades this is all you need to do get yourself a villager that has not Been traded with before as you can see this is a level one librarian with nothing in the xp bar so this is the workstation that he is linked to as you can see if we break it you know he changes if we place it back down he Relinks and now he has different trades but we can simply move this with a piston and that will achieve the same effect and you can reroll multiple villagers at a time and then once you find one that you like you simply trade with them and they are officially locked In and they won’t change their trades on the same note as villagers get an iron farm just build an iron farm it might be kind of painful but it is absolutely 100 worth it you need a ton of iron in this game and if you’re playing on bedrock Edition i have an entire playlist of a bedrock edition tutorials for villager breeders iron farms training halls you name it if it’s something villager i’d likely have a tutorial on it something that not enough people talk about is another highways making another highway is such an efficient way of traveling Because every single block that you travel in the nether equals eight blocks in the overworld so if you travel even just a hundred blocks here in the nether you’ve traveled 800 in the overworld and this makes it super quick to get around your world it might be a little bit Scary but if you build up in the nether roof around y layer 100 there isn’t really any lava there isn’t really any caves so you are pretty much safe to just dig a tunnel put down some ice or a rail line and then go hundreds or thousands of blocks in the overworld Extremely quickly on this topic nether portal linking can be a kind of a painful process sometimes but if you don’t know how to do it check out the tutorial in the upper right i’m an entire tutorial dedicated to nether portal linking it’s actually really simple and once you understand it it’s Not really an issue anymore even though spawner farms are incredibly easy to build and don’t take much time they’re not really worth your time they don’t produce that many mobs give you that much experience or give you that many different types of items so unless you can get yourself a good multi-spawner Setup like four or more spawners they’re generally not really worth it it’s a much better investment of time it’s just to build a better farm from the gecko and let’s move into some crafting and item tips shall we so first of all you should always be carrying a stack of Logs on you a stack of logs is incredibly useful because of course you can turn that instantly into a crafting table you can turn this into four stacks of planks or you can turn that into eight stacks of slabs in order to bridge across the large areas this also means That you’ll have an ample supply of ladders on you at all time to get out of deep areas you can build a bunch of signs to make markers or waypoints or you can craft some chests to store additional items that you pick up while you’re in the world and if you’re really In a pinch you can make some bowls and collect some mushrooms to make a stew that way you don’t starve honestly if there is a thousand different uses for the wood just carry a stack of logs on you you won’t regret it likewise a water bucket is one of the most versatile Items in minecraft and it’s always in your best interest to keep this on you for example you can use it to mlg pro down into a cave first try or if you’re not as adventurous you can simply place down the water and you can use it to get Down cliff sides or propel down into caves simply let it flow for a little bit and then you can hop into it or you can just kind of sit in it like this and you’ll eventually get down to the bottom and of course it’s always useful for Pushing mobs away from you as well you can place it down and then that’ll just take the zombies or whatever else you got chasing you far away from you even if you’re in a crowded area like this as you can see the water is still being Incredibly useful so you can use this to just straight up avoid fights or buy yourself a little bit of time not to mention you can use it to get away from enderman whenever you happen to accidentally anger them and of course there’s also the obvious reasons of Dealing with lava if you’re stuck down a deep hole without any more blocks or ladders then you can also use it to get back up you simply place it above you swim up to the top quickly pick it back up and then place it back up above you Again and you can slowly elevator yourself up to the surface it’s a little bit painful but it’s better than nothing everyone always recommends that you don’t dig straight down however if you’re in a too wide like this and you stand between the blocks you’ll actually be perfectly safe just watch out for Lava coming in from the edges and you also really need to watch out for the gravel patches as well because now there is floating gravel all over these giant caverns and you can fall hundreds of blocks to your death and then be buried in gravel as well so if you run into any Gravel patches while digging straight down make sure to remove the gravel of your shovel make sure you’re always standing on a solid block so the best way to dig straight down is to simply mine all the way down on the left side as far as you can and then slowly go Down on the opposite side and then mine this all the way down as far as you can and just kind of alternate like that you can do this pretty quickly but you do want to alternate that way you know what’s down there below you and if you do this right you’ll basically never Have any issues digging straight down another very good idea is to cookie cutter mass produce a backup items and gear that way even if you die lose everything in the void or just chuck it all into a cactus you always have a backup gear and dying isn’t really that Big of a deal and doesn’t set you back now you might be thinking this is a lot of work it takes a lot of diamonds it takes a lot of time to do this and you’re only mildly correct because villagers can sell you every single piece of diamond gear and they sell it To you for just a couple of emeralds once you get some villager curing going so the tool smiths can sell you diamond shovels and pickaxes they can also sell you diamond hoes and regular axes the armors can sell you diamond boots diamond helmets diamond pants and diamond chest plates and finally the Weaponsmiths can sell you diamond swords obviously these things have some pretty terrible enchantments but you can simply put that tool directly into a grindstone disenchant it and you have a raw piece of diamond gear you can then buy all of your enchantments from librarians or just chuck this into an enchantment Table and get what you get so you really can mass produce a diamond gear with all that being said diamonds also are just not really that valuable in minecraft especially in 1.18 there’s really no reason to go out hunting and searching for diamonds obviously like if you find Some collect them because ooh shiny but otherwise they are so plentiful in cave systems you’re gonna be finding them all over the place and if you use villagers to get your armor tools and weapons then you’re really not gonna have any use for diamonds especially in solo if mojang Decided to add a consumable item or something that you had to craft a lot of using diamonds then they would become valuable once again but there’s kind of like a whole deeper philosophical video that could be made on the value of diamonds and the non-existence of that Value i always forget this but never throw away your enchantment books that have cursive binding on them even though they have binding on them they can still be useful for your tools and weapons so don’t throw these away check out the other enchantments that might be on the Book as you can see this one has unbreaking and mending and of course we could put that on a chest plate but then the binding would carry over however we can put this on a tool or a weapon and that binding does not get applied so It’s still a very valuable book you just need to use it for certain tools speaking of enchanting mistakes and never make the mistake of creating a mending bow it sounds a pretty great in principle because mending is obviously like the best enchantment in the game however mending bows are actually just the worst For example if you run out of arrows that’s it you’re both now officially useless whereas an infinity bow that you sometimes repair every like a third month it can shoot arrows literally forever and you can just bow spam even if you are a very prolific bow user and You crafted this thing out of a bunch of different bows from a fish farm you can repair it and get it back to full durability like five times before it gets it too expensive and if you’re into villagers creating more bells really isn’t that big of a deal so go for an Infinity bow it’ll save you in so many situations some useful numbers to remember while crafting is the fact that you need 24 ingots to make a brand new set of armor nine ingots to make a brand new set of tools and of course that one additional ingot to make a shield so in Total you’ll want to collect either 33 or 34 ingots to make a brand new set of everything and with this we can make a helmet a chest plate some pants a pair of boots a sword an axe a shovel and a pickaxe as well and then of course we Still have an iron left over for a shield so 33 ingots if you don’t want a shield and 34 ingots if you do an incredibly important one to remember in the 1.18 update is the fact that you need exactly two logs in order to make a New stack of torches so you turn those two logs directly into sticks and then that gives you exactly one stack of torches once you run out simply make a brand new stack and you’re good to go for quite a while a really important one for in-city raiding is to mark your Rated end cities this is especially courteous on a multiplayer server i would always put a pillar on the very top of the end city that way you can tell from afar that someone has been there and i would also recommend that you destroy the center mast of the end Ship as well because this is a very easy way to first of all get more blocks and of course make it super obvious that someone has been to this end city and this also benefits you as well as you can see that mast is incredibly obvious In that pillar of blocks is also really obvious as well even though they’re made out of purpur it’s still super easy to see and this is gonna save you and other people that you play with a lot of time it’s a nice thing to do and it just Makes the end raiding experience a lot smoother and prevents you from getting into an end ship to realize that there’s no elytra 1.18 has moved around all of the ore generation levels and here is the official or generation graph yeah there’s actually like a graphic for it It’s kind of complicated remember if you can and of course to keep a screenshot of it on your device to reference later you basically need to target specific orders that you want go to the ideal wide level for that ore or go to the ideal biome for it one of the most Important things to remember in minecraft is that no project is ever truly finished there is just a point where you are personally done with it if you want to you could keep on working for something for years and years of trying to perfect it but at some point You just need to move on and maybe have fun with another project or another goal that you have set in your world so don’t feel too much pressure to finish a project even if you like really wanted to because sometimes it just doesn’t really work out and the motivation isn’t There and there’s no shame and moving on and doing something different and finally remember that this is minecraft it’s just a video game there is no one way to play there is no best way to play just do what you want to do have a fun With minecraft as best as you can and that is really the ultimate goal and if you’re not having fun doing one thing try out something different maybe take a break or try a different game and come back to it later this is also a game of infinite wonders and endless Possibilities as well so there really is truly an endless amount of things to do and if one side of minecraft isn’t working out well for you then try out something different and explore see what you like so if you got any
