Do you want your worlds to look like this or maybe this or how about this no not not that that one’s that one’s the normal that’s ugly all right how about this Minecraft has had the ability for a while to add shaders on top of the Minecraft game to make it look amazing And while other videos May click bait you into showing you only one way to do it I am here to solve all of your problems I’m going to show it on Java and Bedrock versions of the game because these are two completely different versions of Minecraft completely different code bases and everything the Way that you get this amazing looking shaders are different between the two versions we’re gonna start off with the Bedrock version and then move to the Java version there should be chapters down below I hope I did that in the editing but it should be there how to Install shaders on the Bedrock version of the game well you know that Bedrock includes consoles like Xbox switch PlayStation it also includes mobile devices like iPhones and Androids and who can forget iPads but I am a little sad to say that if you are playing on Any of the devices that I just listed you are out of luck the only way to get shaders on Minecraft Bedrock Edition is to be playing a Bedrock Edition on a computer that is basically Minecraft for Windows 10. it’s kind of changed names a bit but the Bedrock version of Minecraft Running on a PC the reason is is because you need to use Minecraft with RTX in order to get this amazing looking Minecraft basically you need a high-end graphics card in order to pull this off which isn’t possible on consoles cell phones or tablets yet so let’s say You’re on a PC awesome let’s check which graphics card you have really quickly there’s a few different ways to check but I find the fastest way is to hit the Windows key and in the search box type in DX d-i-a-g that is the name of a program which is the DirectX diagnostic Tool in that window just click on any display I happen to have three but display one will work and it will show your graphics card name right there at the top your graphics card must have RTX in the title of the graphics card otherwise the next steps won’t work There are a few different chip manufacturers and even within those chip manufacturers for certain lines that will not support Ray tracing which is what looks like Shader packs on Bedrock so if you don’t have RTX sorry and alive for you okay so you have a compatible PC with a compatible graphics card let’s Turn on that RTX switch where where is it where where is the setting for that you’ll even notice Ray tracing is an option to toggle on but it’s grayed out you cannot turn this on what the heck the info balloon or maybe it’s a a light bulb I don’t know it has An i in it or is that an upside down explanation point it says you need a ray tracing world or a compatible Ray tracing resource pack I’m joking I I know I knew that like I’m I’m gonna explain basically inside of Bedrock Edition there is no just switch that you Turn on which is very similar to how Java Works in Minecraft Bedrock Edition you actually have to have either a resource pack that has all the ray tracing built into it or you need to download a world off of the marketplace getting a world off of the marketplace Is by far the easier option it doesn’t give you all the flexibility of using a ray tracing texture pack in your world but let’s check out the marketplace all you have to do is go to search and if you type into the search bar RTX you’ll see a ton of maps that meet The criteria and you’ll be able to tell because they add an extra little badge onto the side that looks like some sparkles or some stars or some sprinkles I don’t know there’s a whole bunch of ways to describe that little thing every single option to me is free I don’t know If I just bought the ones that aren’t free but they’re all free to me remember that rhymes also on the main page of the marketplace for me if I scroll down far enough I see an area named Ray tracing world so this also filters out all of The worlds that include Ray tracing but what if you want to do it yourself or you have your own world that you want to add Ray tracing onto for that you’ll need to download a resource pack that has the Shader information built into it I suggest vanilla RTX it’s been pretty Popular and has a lot of good features built into it for Ray tracing there’s a link in the description of this video I seem to only be able to find it on mcpe.edl I will admit this hasn’t been updated as recently as I would like but There are other options one a place to search for other RTX compatible resource packs is Reddit there is a Minecraft RTX subreddit where you can find RTX enabled resource packs another recommendation is heading over to store.omgchad.com and picking up a brand new t-shirt one like I’m wearing right Now this is the mine and craft premium t-shirt and it is so nice it feels so good so I suggest you head over to store.omgchad.com and pick up your own once you have the resource pack that you want downloaded click it to install it onto your Minecraft game and it will Show at the top importing and should be importing successful Now find the world that you want to enable this on hit the edit button next to that world scroll on down to Resource packs and then choose my packs and then choose whichever RTX compatible pack you want I’m going to Choose vanilla RTX and click activate and now I have the resource pack added now this is my world with shaders on it I have been getting a few errors recently with the upgrade to 1.19 team so if you get those I do suggest once again the Reddit at Minecraft RTX to Hopefully help you out there moving on to Java Edition Minecraft getting shaders on Java Edition has become very very easy in recent years basically you just need to download OptiFine and then you need to find a Shader pack of your choice and use that within OptiFine and Bam you got shaders Step One is head to optifine.net go to downloads and download the most recent version of OptiFine there are installation instructions for OptiFine on the Minecraft forums minecraftforum.net but basically you are downloading a jar file and if you can run that in Java it will Give you a nice little installer make sure that is pointed in the same area that your Minecraft folder is Click install and that’s all you have to do now in the Minecraft launcher there will be be a new profile for you make sure you choose the OptiFine profile and run That I do suggest that you run OptiFine once before you move on to the next step of getting a Shader pack because then it will create all the appropriate folders that you need in the next step OptiFine is the engine that will create the beautiful looking images but Shader Packs are the instructions for what that image will look like so you need to pair a Shader pack with optifine’s rendering to actually create cool shaders there are many many many Shader packs out there I have three that I suggest Sonic ether’s unbelievable shaders or Zeus I really like project luma’s Shader pack And very popular in the community is cylinder’s shaders since Sonic ethers is probably the most popular I’m gonna go ahead and show how you would use this Shader pack in your Minecraft head on over to their website Sonic either com recently Sonic either has been really Pushing his patreon so uh the link there will head to patreon but you can just download the uh the zip file on that that’s a public page right there but you can support them if you want that will download as a zip now over in Minecraft Go to video settings and there is a new button named shaders open that up and there’s a button near the bottom called shaders folder go ahead and click that this is where you will drop your zip file into that folder once you’ve selected the Shader it may take a bit to Update Minecraft but then it will be added you can look around a bit also from that page some shaders have extra options so you can change your settings from that page now that you have these shaders installed uh just gawk and all the amazing and cool things that you can see inside of Minecraft wow that looks amazing man this looks so cool look at that water oh my God I’m in love and there you have it how to install Shader packs on to Minecraft and yes some of these aren’t Shader packs some of them are like Ray Tracing and all that other Jazz but uh I think you get the point okay it makes your game look really cool I’m not getting all that technical jargon here hope you enjoyed this video if you did please like comment and subscribe it helps me out a lot and one more shout out to Store.omgchad.com that will help me out directly so please go buy something from there thanks so much for watching and I’ll see you in the next one bye Thank you Video Information
