The Breakdown – How To Play Minecraft Java with a Controller in 2023

Can you use a controller in Minecraft Java Edition in 2023 yes you can and in this video we’re going to show you how to do it we’re going to be using an Xbox controller today in order to do this it’s actually really simple all you need

Going to take you here this is the controllable download page and on this page we want to go ahead and click on files now the reason I’m doing that instead of just downloading it from the sidebar is because you might want this for a double version right right now

Never played that before without any mods or anything like that well this isn’t going to work so you want to make sure you go back and play that version without any mods installed or anything like that the same could be true for a newer version of Minecraft let’s say you

Only want to play with the controller well you unfortunately have to launch it once with a keyboard and mouse Minecraft in order to play with a controller but nevertheless once you’ve done that you’ve got it launched you can come back and install Forge but if you’re still

Having issues the second reason is that Minecraft’s open the third reason is that the Minecraft launcher is open if either of those are open close out of them and then reinstall Forge and this will work now let’s we can go ahead and close out of this by clicking OK and

Delete force from our desktop now let’s get controllable installed to do this you want to open up the Minecraft launcher and we want to play Minecraft with the forge installation now you probably have one already created because that just happened when we installed Ford some of you won’t though
