Early game dungeons have followed a very tight and specific progression model for the longest time which has generally favored the Berserker and Archer class much more than the Mage tank or heliclass most people think that rushing floor 4 or floor 5 is required to have a chance at consistently completing the First few dungeon flaws and while this certainly can work and will technically prepare you early on for the later game dungeons it’s sub-optimal for a variety of different reasons I won’t be covering those reasons in today’s video but what I will be showcasing is an extremely powerful early game Mage setup that will Easily get you past the first three dungeon flaws what makes this setup even better however is the fact that it doesn’t use a single piece of dungeonized gear meaning that you can obtain it without ever having touched dungeons before and best of all it has insanely good upgrade ability to the Point that it will carry you all the way until you attempt your first ever floor 7 run so you’re probably thinking then what is this mysterious early game made setup that is so powerful and to answer that question it is all of the pieces that you can see in my inventory here now You’re probably looking at this going full Superior and aotd and the glove is this not a Berserker setup how is this going to be good for mage and while yes the full Superior set with an aotd or any other melee weapon is a solid Berserker option the superior set with The aotd specifically is also a very powerful Mage setup now if you have no idea how this works it all has to do with the ability of the aotd and the set bonus of the full Superior Sound so full Superior has the full set bonus Superior blood where most of your stats are Increased by five percent and the aspect of the dragon’s ability deals 50 percent more damage now not only is that five percent stat increase really powerful for just everything you can do in Skyblock but that aotd ability damage buff is incredibly powerful and it’s the reason why this set synergizes so well With the artd now for those of you that don’t know the ATD has an ability called Dragon rage where all the monsters in front of you will take a certain amount of damage this damage I believe just scales with your profile depending on your Intel and other stats and then all The monsters you do hit will take a large amount of knockback now this aotd knockback ability can be really annoying which is why we pair it with the dragon fuse glove which if we read the stats of this not only does it give you some strength crit damage health and defense It also Buffs the aotd by granting it 35 bonus damage 50 bonus strength and it also reduces the ability knock back now if I compare the before and after of the aotd’s ability with and without the glove you can very clearly see the big difference that the glove actually makes And while the glove doesn’t really buff the magic damage of the aotd’s ability that reduced ability knockback can be very helpful and will just make your gameplay easier overall that being said you can remove the glove entirely from the setup and it will still work completely fine I just like to have the Glove with it because it’s a little bit easier to play with and overall is just nice to have of so now we understand how this set works why it synergizes so well and what I’ll be covering in today’s video but I want to talk things like requirements pricing and why this is Classified as say an early game setup so when you do think of an early game Mage setup you probably think of full wires or three-quarters wise with some sort of goggles and then usually the weapons of choice will be something like an undogenized Frozen site a Bonzo staff a Dreadlord sword or anything of the science now all these items do work great and they can be really good for a mage but if you haven’t noticed already they are a lot cheaper than the full Superior set although the aotd is in the budget range so right off the bat the Superior set seems to be a lot more expensive than what you might be using for floor one floor two and potentially floor three but what they’re full Superior set in aotd has that these items don’t is that none of the superior set has any catacombs requirements the full Superior set when you don’t Dungeonize it is able to be used at combat 20 while the aotd can be used at combat 18 and the dragon fuse love as early as combat 15. now obviously combat requirements aren’t something that you’re gonna have to come by but at the very least you don’t need a floor one Completion for something like the Bonzo staff and you don’t need catacombs 5 for an item like the dreadlord sword but anyways I will be comparing this Superior set and aot to some other common Mage setups later on in the video but for now I want to jump into some Dungeon runs particularly floor one and floor 2 because that way I can actually show you guys how this setup Works what the clearing looks like what the minibus damage is and most importantly how it fares in the boss fight okay so before I start commentating over the following dungeon footage I like to Say that both the floor one and floor 2 completions that I got here were on my chaos profile as a solo player I was catacombs 12 and Maze level 12 when recording this footage too so it’s as accurate to a new player as I could possibly get it nonetheless this first Room here was a very simple clear and I was basically just one tapping all the mobs in front of me with no problems at all the next clip here is just me finding a lost Adventurer you can clearly see that it doesn’t even stand a chance and just got completely melted Yellow Rim was also really easy I used my thunderstorm ability to help out a little bit more but frankly I didn’t even need it it’s very evident that the aotd just has a stupid amount of DPS and the amazing ehp that Superior provides lets me play recklessly and tank a lot Of damage here’s an extra clip of me just showcasing another minibus kill similar to the first one that I encountered I completely drained its Health in a matter of seconds and then the clearing in this room was also really easy even though the aotd ability doesn’t have the greatest of range Pairing it with the LCM beams works wonders for General clear and I never really find myself struggling at all next up we’ve got blood room just like the rest of this floor it’s a super easy clear with superiors amazing ehp once again letting me tank all the damage and The aotd just makes quick work of all the mobs last for this dungeon is obviously the boss I’m not really sure what else to say here as the same trend from the clear applies to Bonzo phase one had a little bit of chasing to get in range to be able to deplete his Health but once he was in phase two it was a total joke as he ran straight towards me and I killed him in under three seconds and now that I’ve shown you that floor one was a total joke with this gear we start Floor 2 off with a Minibus in the first room I decided to play a little bit more careless purely just for the recording but as you can see I’m able to completely drain the minibus’s health whilst taking a lot of damage from all the surrounding mobs I wouldn’t advise doing this normally of Course you should be killing all the other mobs first and then going for the minibars but all in all this fight was simple and I moved on with the rest of the clear I encountered a second minibus shortly after and similar to the first One it was a really easy fight I did run out of Mana since I had just come out of a previous fight but even then the setup still pulled through and I managed to just barely kill the archaeologist now this next up here is a floor 2 yellow Room this one was going to be much harder than floor one so just for safety I placed the Mana flux down and I waited for a little bit more of my monitor regen this isn’t entirely necessary and if you aren’t as well equipped as I am a Trick you can use is bringing the yellow room mob all the way to fairy room and then use the fairy Pond healing water to just destroy his health but either way I completely drained the yellow room minibus’s Health with little trouble although I did have to use a couple of Healing items here and there to make sure I didn’t die and just in case you haven’t seen enough of it on floor 2 here’s some simple clearing footage to show how this gear fares in the run I did take quite a lot of damage thanks to all the Crypt dreadlords and The Archers That were shooting at me but with a few heels and some LCM plus RCM spam I managed to come out on top pretty easily the next up here is blood run yet again which just like floor one was super simple and I made quick work of all the Mobs in no time and now we get to the boss fight so first things first I placed the Mana Fox down and then started targeting the priest damage and survivability here was looking really good as you can see I’m not really taking too much damage and I’m able to Tank all the mods and after a little bit of work here I managed to get the priest down pretty easily and then I Target the warrior which once again got absolutely melted after the priest and the warrior were down I slowed down my gameplay a little bit and started to regen some Mana and play it safer I’ve obviously cut all this boring stuff out so you don’t have to see it in the video but it was a process of just attacking all the Minions regening my Mana attacking the minions again regioning some more mana and just you know playing it safe and Making sure I didn’t die once it was time to take out the Mage and then fight scarf I decided to weaken him a ton and then bring him all the way to where I’d killed the priest and then I placed down a Mana flux killed the Mage and then Camped on the priest’s body I did this so I could have my Mana flux down for when the priest spawns so that way I have a little bit more healing and some extra mana and that way I’d be able to kill the bosses quicker once the priest Did respawn I killed him very very quickly I also use my thunderstorm ability here to take out all these mini bosses and damage scarfed and all in all I didn’t really have too much of a problem here second phase Floor 2 is a lot harder though but after a little bit Of work some healing items and a bit of running around and I managed to take out the warrior pretty easily and then similar to phase one I just ran in circles and just survived a little bit and started targeting the other minis within no time the Archer was down and Then the Mage was down too and then once I had all the minibuses down and it was just time for scarf I went straight to the corner and sat on some stone bricks and just completely destroyed his health here now this by far is the coolest part Of the run all the running around and killing mini bosses is really boring but scarf with 1 million Health getting completely drained at the very end is super satisfying and obviously you were able to see how good the aotd really is all in all the Floor 2 fight was Definitely much harder than the floor one fight but this is mostly because it’s a much more involved fight rather than the fact that the mobs are supposed to be tankier now obviously your average Skyblock player is going to use a full five-man party to take out both of these Dungeon flaws but I decided to go in Solo just to show you the sheer power of this aotd Plus Superior setup but anyways enough chat about how strong this setup really is let’s talk about things like requirements the costing and a comparison to some other common Mage Setups because that’s also going to be very important for this video The Superior setup plus the aotd plus the Dragon fuse glove costs anywhere between 28 to 30 million coins but if you are on a budget and you don’t buy the dragon fuse glove it’ll cost you more around The 20 to 22 million coin ma now if we compare this to a more typical Mage setup for the early game you want to be using something like the full wise or three quarters wise plus any Mage goggles set and you’ll likely pair it with a weapon like the Bonzo staff Frozen Scythe or the dreadlord sword now I’m gonna ignore the dreadlock sword for this video because it does have a catacombs 5 requirement and you technically can’t use that if you first start dungeons but if you use a Bonzo staff and a frozen Scythe or both of Them together it’s going to cost you around the same price as the budget Superior setup although it will be cheaper than the full setup including the dragon fuse glow now while the Y is set up with the Frozen Scythe Bonzo style for anything similar to that is Cheaper and easier to get your hands on it doesn’t have anywhere near the ehp as the full Superior aotd combo and it also doesn’t output anywhere near the DPS of the aotd does however you absolutely could be using the full wire setup with an aotd or the Frozen site for some Range and that way you will be getting the DPS of the aotd but it’s going to be a lot weaker than using full Superior now even if you do use full wires with an aucd to get the DPS of the aspect of the Dragons you’ll still be lacking a Lot of ehp and the main reason for this is because it has that five percent increase stats per now if you do get the renowned reforge on your Superior which by the way I recommend using three quarters renowned and then a loving chest plate you can stack all of these Increase your stats perks and they actually apply to the dungeon blessings that you pick up in the clear this is exactly why a superior set has way more ehp than the wine setup however you are technically locked to using the aotd and if you do use any other weapons like a Bonzo star for a frozen Scythe you won’t be doing as much damage because wise is designed for magic damage so in this case you are technically weapon locked if if that makes any sense at all but to that I say is being weapon locked really A big deal if we take a look at the Bonzo boss fight and the scarf boss fight you don’t really need to have any range for these bosses for Bonzo I was able to chase him around and just burst him down completely and then in second Phase he actually came to me and I just completely destroyed him there Floor 2 the priest does run away from you and tries not to fight you but all the other minions do try to attack you so being able to get in range of them is super Easy and scarf himself also tries to kill you which makes the aotd’s range completely fine the professor in second phase tries to charge you as well and he also tries to kill you in the third phase so the aotd is able to hold its own really well in that floor too so What I bring up by saying this is that even though you are locked to using the aspect of the dragons and that’s what specializes with the superior set you aren’t gonna need to use any other weapons because if it clears really well it takes out the first few bosses really Easily and it also has really good DPS and ehp then why would you need to use any other weapon so overall the superior aotd and dragon fuse glove setup is a little bit more costly that’s only like the full wise three-quarters wise goggles with a frozen Scythe Bonzer star For a dreadlord sword but that extra added cost is very well Justified because it does way more DPS and it has way more ehp but I’m going to toss these stats aside and talk about upgrade potential because upgrade potential is really important for all things in Skyblock so if we take a look at both the superior set and the aotd you can reforge enchant these and recombobulate them with no problems but you can also dungeonize them and 5 Star them to give you extra damage now these would be classified as upgrades that make these setups much stronger because Dungeonizing both of these items and then 5 starring them gives them some really strong potential inside of dungeons that’s actually able to carry you all the way until floor 7. now the Y set also has that same potential you can dungeonize it five star it and use it For floor sinks but the Frozen Scythe whilst can be dungeonized and 5 starred is not nowhere near as good as the aotd and starts to fall off at around floor 4 and floor 5 even as a dungeon item this is why people typically swap out that weapon for something like a spirit Scepter which you unlock at floor 4 and will cost you around 18 to 20 million coins so for the sake of this video I’m gonna start comparing these Superior setup and the aotd to the Y set with a spirit scepter as a more later game option for Mages so the full Superior Set and the aotd in both floor 4 floor 5 and floor 6 as a dungeon item is still extremely powerful the clear potential is very similar to that of the floor one two and three clearing and the ehp once again remains to be very strong because Of how it scales with the full set bonus now the wires certain flaws 4 5 and 6 is also a really good option and it’s very similar to how it performs in flaws one two and three it has really solid magic damage but its ehp is nowhere near as Good as superiors now because both of these setups are now roughly the same cost but one of them has a lot more ehp and also has really strong DPS at first glance this makes it look like the superior set is a much better option now If we take a little bit of a deeper dive the spirit receptor does have a better clear potential than the aotd as that’s what it’s really good at but in the boss fight its DPS is nowhere near as good as the aotds because the aotd is just able To burst down mobs super quickly and output a ridiculous amount of damage in a very short time now for floor 7 the superior and the Y set aren’t really good in this floor the aotd pretty much falls off completely and remains to be more of like an LCM weapon in this floor Because the boss fight is heavily catered towards ranged attacks this does give the edge to the spirit scepter as a weapon because it does have range damage but the lackluster DPS of the spirit scepter just isn’t good at all so overall both of these weapons and setups Aren’t really good in floor 7. however once again with this whole upgrade potential thing the superior set and the aotd isn’t very good in floor 7 but the superior set with a jujubo or a superior set with a spirit bow is very much a worthwhile option question if you choose To swap to the Archer class as for the wise and the spirits have to set up you aren’t really going to be able to upgrade to anything anytime soon if you’re not doing dungeons with any carries you’re gonna have to somehow figure out a way to use a spirit scepter Or Midas staff or a Yeti sword which are all really expensive weapons and will make it really hard to complete that flaw and if you are using dungeon carries then you will have to buy yourself a hyperion to do that floor conveniently and we all know how expensive the Hyperion is so basically Where I’m going with all this the superior setup is very expensive earlier on compared to a more normal wise setup it’ll be a little bit more pricey but for the late game and setting yourself up for dungeons after floor three you aren’t going to have to spend as much Money and it will make it a lot easier to swap off of Mage if you choose to do so honestly I think this is a very important factor because right now the Archer meta is extremely prevalent due to shortbreads and Terminators are completely ruling dungeons right now and Being able to swap to that class by keeping the the same armor but just removing the one million coin weapon is definitely a win-win so overall full Superior a dragon fuse glove and an aotd is a very strong burst DPS setup it works really well for early game Mages It’s kind of awkward in the intermediate floor 4 and floor 5 sections but once you reach that catacombs 19 requirement it once again lives on to be really powerful for floor 5 and floor sinks cheaper alternatives such as a full zombie soldier set or a wise set with a Bonzo star for a frozen Scythe are going to be cheaper than the full Superior and aotd setup but if you want to use zombie soldier you have to be catacombs 19 and if you are going to be using wires with a non-dungeon weapon you aren’t gonna have anywhere near the damage and the Ehp of superior when it comes to the later game upgrade potential the spirit scepter and the aotd both have their own individual uses one is really good for clearing one is really good for mini boss burst TPS so the answer to the question of which one you should buy get Both if you choose to use full Superior and aotd and a spirit scepter you going to be focusing more on your aotd damage as the superior setup is able to buff that significantly as well as you will have more ehp and overall just a little Bit of an easier time in dungeons if you choose to use a full wise set with an aotd and a spirit scepter it’s going to be a little bit more cost effective but you might have to make up for the lack of ahp with a blue whale as you’re going To be focusing more on your spirit receptors damage rather than the aotd as you aren’t buffing it with the armor sand but at the end of the day it’s all personal preference whatever you want to use is what you want to use me personally I prefer the superior setup Because I just really love the burst damage of the aotd and I’m happy to sacrifice a little bit of range damage if it means that I can completely annihilate bosses and mini bosses but with that being said it’s going to cover everything that I had for today’s video Hopefully you guys found it useful or informative in some way and I’ll see you guys in the next one Video Information

So much stuff has changed ever since the end island revamp, because this forgotten mage setup for hypixel skyblock dungeons is surprisingly really good for what it is. Turning a 20m coin armour set and a 1m coin sword into a setup powerful enough to solo floor 6 is kind of crazy, especially since most of what people are using nowadays has a similar cost but the EHP is usually a problem. Mage has always notoriously been a squishy class, but with this setup, it’s not as bad anymore
