The Budget Workshop – St Jude Twitch Stream pt 4 – Lost in Minecraft + More Memoria Highlights

Hello everyone welcome back to the stream i uh i am tom i would be your host for the day uh but seriously last time i played i played a bit of minecraft bit of memoria mostly memorial i’m really getting into that game but uh today i’m going to start out with minecraft again

Now uh last time if you remember right i was in the process of building a uh well basically making a rail system to go across this big bridge i built basically suck across the ocean without ever having to swim now i pretty much got that done but the problem is as

Many people can probably uh identify with this i kind of got lost on the way back to my house so if you’ll excuse me will i resize everything here that’ll work now uh i did get lost i am utterly lost somewhere out in the middle of nowhere and some section of the game

I do not recognize as you can see i am on a coastline in the desert somewhere i thought these trees here were the ones near my house because they look the same so i headed for them turns out they’re in a completely wrong section of the map

So i honestly have no idea where i am i do not have the raw materials to make an actual map or a compass i can make plenty of paper and i got lots and lots of sugarcane and make tons of paper but i have no clue where i am so uh

What i’m gonna do here is something i found online as a suggestion is to head back make all the coordinates back to zero and that will uh supposedly get me back at my spawn point now my spawn point will be on that initial island that i spawned on

The one where i told you guys about where i ended up at the top of a tree when i first showed up now all my numbers are going now so that’s a good sign it means i’m heading in the right direction but uh yeah so uh i’m lost in the desert

But yeah so uh if heading back to zero heads me back to my spawn point i will end up back on that little island but at least then you guys will be able to see the rail system i just hope i don’t have to swim across the ocean to get to it

Because i’m not looking forward to that if that happens this may be the long way around and i apologize if you guys know shortcuts go ahead and pop those up in the chat i won’t see those while i’m playing but at least i’ll know in the future how to

Oh man my z coordinates going up wow okay well we’ll get x to zero and it’ll turn around and try to get z to zero without affecting x now y apparently is my elevation so that’s not quite as important let’s try to get back across this desert

I did a lot of wandering before i logged in here so i am a good ways away from everything did bump into a couple of villages and get some stuff i didn’t have before though so that’s that was kind of neat we had a couple guys that just wanted to

Trade a whole bunch of wheat for emeralds another guy wanted to trade wool for emeralds i’m like sure went out took out a bunch of sheep came back came in the guy’s pile of wall got my emerald cool all right and i am heading right towards the ocean oh boy

Hoping to at least see my little stone pathway that i made huh all right there’s an island out there but i don’t think that’s one i’ve been to wow get this stuff out of the way so what i need to do we’ll put that back down now the x is going back up

Uh let me see here now let’s see okay i need to bring z and x down to zero all right sorry i got the little uh walk through open okay need to bring both to zero now that’s not easy to do oh there we go they’re both going down in this direction okay

I need to keep going more or less in this direction this could take a very long time and i do apologize but uh kind of got caught up in this uh hopefully i’ll have enough time to do momori still i’m really having fun with that game i played

I honestly just logged into this to try and kill a few minutes that stupid cactus but yeah i was just gonna try and kill a few minutes until it was time to stream and then yeah i got lost so that ended up not happening all right well x we have

More or less on point so now i need to try oh wow how do i skirt the line and not oh boy no no detours this time i’m just going to head straight in this direction and i’m probably going to have to adjust and go back for the x-coordinate wow this is complicated

I’ll do this without nope nope nope now the z is going back up wow i tell you folks this is complicated oh why did i do that there we go that is the ocean yay there’s where things really start going haywire this must really be the right direction

The way those numbers are going down cactus cactus i keep hoping i’m going to find that cobblestone pathway that i made but i haven’t been able to find it it’s kind of crazy i wish i knew how to work a boat i’d take that and just sail

Oh boy how did i get so far off that sounds like either the neighbor or the landlord’s back doing some lawn work well i am swimming across the ocean it’s the landlord now this is interesting i have islands popping up see of course i want to get back but also

Priorities to try and find something i recognize so if i come across that bridge i’m going to be good to go in the meantime gonna try to keep going until my finger gets sore and we’re heading back to land by the looks of things i could take out those squid or octopus

Or whatever you want to call them but i don’t need ink that badly wow it’s gonna be just my luck this is gonna end up putting me like right in the middle of nowhere or something run run run run heading back to the ocean all right all right

And this is a test to see if the whole going back to zero thing works so how’s everybody doing doing good yeah oh man i cannot let off any of these buttons or i’ll sink to the bottom of the ocean and then i might die you know i might

Suffocate before i get back up so fun time this is taking a really long time to do ah i don’t have something really heavy i could just sit on the forward button that rock won’t work oh all i know is i do not want to lose the

Stuff i have in my inventory right now oh oh i see land what are we heading towards that’s a desert island of some kind i know i haven’t been there before ah oh it’s not just a desert island there’s stuff there hmm no never been there i’m just going to keep on swimming

Sandbar time for a finger break well i’ve made pretty good progress so far if i am going in the right direction let’s see time to start swimming again dive dive all right back on the road again oh wow well this is a very good demonstration as to just how big

Minecraft world actually is this is crazy big i think from now on i’m gonna be bringing a map with me now this doesn’t work this is gonna mean i’m actually getting myself more lost than i already was so oops and if that’s the case i don’t know what

I’m going to do to get back to the house i mean i could just you know set up another house and start working from there but still got a whole lot of stuff in those chests at the other house and i hate to give up all that

Of course these easiest way to get back would be to just die and i’ll wake up in my bed but then i literally you know then i lose everything i’m carrying including my armor and that’s just not an option so instead they have this long tedious track oh look at all those octopi

Another island i wonder if this one will be familiar tree on it let’s see hmm so nope just a little small one don’t know it all right keep on going oh well this is nice all right i just found a way to bring the numbers back together sweet

Just a little adjustment of position i wonder nope okay we’re not gonna mess with that this should at least get me close and then i can adjust the x and hopefully get to the position i’m sorry this isn’t more entertaining folks boom another couple little uh small islands that’s a mainland

Well a large island anyways maybe it is mainland not one i’ve been to before though none of the ones i’ve been to had that sugar cane on the coast okay try to keep this as straight as possible i’m playing now i’m running across the continent instead of swimming and then desert okay

What’s up cactus hmm i’m gonna have to readjust here in a moment cactus okay i’m getting very close to zero on the z-axis and a little side step there we go it’s interesting more and more of these trees and well that’s more or less zero on z

So let’s see what way i got to go to get it nope going the wrong way okay oh this is not going to be easy hmm ocean now we’re back to swimming okay so i got x moving rapidly z barely moving at all this is a good way to hold position side step

Interesting on in a little bit once i reach zero whether or not it’s my house i’m stopping unless of course you know it lands me right next to the rail system then i’ll jump on that and head back to my house that is my whole goal here

Just to get back to the house it’s entirely my fault i could have just followed the stone path that i laid out which you know was its original intention but i decided i could take a little shortcut stupid the shortcut did not turn out to be a shortcut obviously

Well shouldn’t be too much longer before i start seeing land again this also goes to prove that i could have set off in any direction i would have eventually run into land again just the direction i chose uh just at randomness that was the position my the door my house was facing

I stepped out started building the bridge i should be seeing land any moment now because otherwise this doesn’t work too well come on guys any minute now i should be seeing an island and it’s lagging which makes me think it’s trying to draw the environment and we just went positive

Now we got a problem here okay that’s still going negative and that’s going negative i’m heading in the completely opposite direction let me see here those are both going negative no that’s going positive now didn’t you get them both heading back there we go all right got them both heading back

It should be at zero fairly soon and it’s looking like zero’s gonna be the middle of the ocean yeah it’s gonna be out in the middle of the ocean hmm well guys i am open to suggestions on this i was short of dying and losing everything i have

I can’t think of any way to get back to my house now the only positive side to it all is i did finish the rail system so i can shuttle back and forth between the islands a whole lot faster and easier now but i guess i’ll just keep going till i find

Land and i’ll figure it out then wow i was gonna stop at zero but zero’s in the ocean and my character would die if i stopped there so we’ll figure something out oh boy well it’s a good thing there’s no sharks in this game there we go little island hey wait a minute

That almost looks familiar could just be wishful thinking more to it huh only because i don’t have that color flower yet i can always make more stone bricks wait a minute wait a minute could these possibly be something i’ve been to before not this one maybe that mainland
