THE CARTOGRAPHER VILLAGER! | The Minecraft Guide – Tutorial Lets Play (Ep. 89)

Hey hey there everybody it’s me your boy welcome back minecraft guide live from tomato tony today i figured we would start the episode off by checking out the videos because it’s been so long as we’ve seen it up here this is a really nice view like over here

I think pretty much all of this is the same since we’ve seen it maybe the boat is different it’s been a long time uh over here i’m pretty sure we’ve seen all of that tree farm needs to be harvested and then over here oh that’s different

For sure with the bee house over there and then the things that you can’t see and then and then the things that you can see right there oh it’s so cool i love skylines skylines are so cool but welcome back minecraft vlog episode 89 today we’re starting right over here at the

Villager breeder we need to turn this thing on because operation villager it is resumed all right so there you go are they ready are they going to do their thing right now i saw things hmm are you going to do it are you going to yeah are you gonna no no

Okay well fine uh i’ll let you do your thing all right so we’ll leave them alone i know we had a little bit of a detour in the past couple episodes we were working with sweet berries boxes that type of thing it was really cool but it’s time to get back to the

Villagers so i think today we’re going to have the final building uh right over here that’s going to be next to the bridge and in this water line and the cathedral and everything and then soon really soon before 100 we’re gonna clear this area up make it look really good but

The last building uh it was gonna be the fish building but there’s actually enough room for one more building but it just can’t be very big so you know how today’s episode begins you already know but here’s the thing there’s a beautiful gigantic oak tree over here

We need to leave it alone there is also a lot of nice vines i am a good friend with vines even if they’re a little weird looking a little cursed looking um but i already have too many vines so i’m not worried about the vines but i am worried about that beautiful

Gigantic oak tree that thing definitely needs to stay so i’ve seen the comments about it for so long that’s right today is finally the day i’ve seen so many of you talking about it for like ever and i think it’s finally time that i listen i’m pretty sure you

Guys have been asking me uh about the sheep and something with the sheep so i figured why would i keep waiting like what’s even the point that’s right today the sheep they are finally like i think you guys have been asking for getting moved to a brand new pen right over here it’s

Gonna be perfect yeah there you go you’re welcome and and that’s right i’m also i’m even going to be generous and i’m going to breed them and we’re going to get like a bunch more sheep and it’s going to be great you’re welcome i finally done it okay so

I feel like this is probably enough room for for what we’re gonna do today i went ahead and cleared the land out lowered some of it raised some of it we’re probably good this building still does need to be small though so uh of course we’ll start with the base i

Think the base of this building should be stone we want it to match all of these other buildings but this time instead of the building being one story i’m thinking like two maybe three stories uh because we don’t have very much room and i want the building to be really cool

Because this is gonna be for a really good villager so let’s do it like this today i feel like this is probably enough room in between the two buildings so one two three four five six uh then maybe seven uh eight what if uh today we work with an eight by eight

Square so one two three four five uh six seven eight so that’ll be like that that’s not too close to the bridge right there we’ll be able to walk down and go around and it doesn’t come too far out that way so then i could have like a path going

Here connecting all those buildings yeah yeah yeah yeah i think that’s perfect okay so that’s going to mean that this thing is going to go all the way down to this spot right here i feel like that’s probably pretty good now this is going to be the base of the

Build i think what i want to do is probably this time step the base up twice i think that would be cool i have a pretty solid vision as to what i want to create here today so base steps up to just like that and then front door uh the front door

Should definitely be on this side because we’ll walk in this way and then we can walk right into the building so front door stone cutter cobblestone staircase for front door uh what if maybe front door three blocks in front door i’m second guessing the placement uh is this a good spot

Is that a good spot for this building should it be forward no probably not probably not uh it’s probably a good spot yeah so i don’t know about you guys but whenever i do a building like any time still i always second guess and like third guess and fourth guess the

Building like where does it go is this a good spot this is not a good spot i don’t know i’m pretty sure like i said this is a good spot but i’m not 100 sure at the same time i guess we’ll just kind of have to

We’re gonna have to go with it and just see so i’m thinking for the floor definitely not jungle wood i kind of don’t like jungle wood not gonna lie but i i think it’s gonna be fine for now we’ll just get it in so we can get an

Idea about the floor i’m thinking that the door goes right here then we walk up it in here and then probably a staircase right there so we’ll step up even more and then we’re inside of the building so this will be the building right here now we’re working with a square which is

Nice it’s easy to work with but it’s also not very interesting square not good so what i think we could do is maybe break out of the square by by turning it into a rectangle so what if we had like a porch over here looking out to what i’m gonna do by the

Cathedral it’s gonna be really nice if i can get it in right uh so yeah like a porch over here and then just a rectangle on this side of the build so immediately we lose this part but that’s fine i’m thinking that we could do like a porch covering with

Maybe crimson uh like the crimson wood like the planks it would look like red and almost like some kind of banner covering i think it could be cool and by the way i i never finished getting rid of these leaves i i’m sorry please forgive me okay so i

Want to do something different on this build stripped spruce wood strip spruce wood is beautiful we’ve never seen it before definitely not you have to admit it looks really good it’s like really nice looking i’m thinking on this build the strip spruce wood should outline basically everything so this rips for

His wood will be like the bottom block it’ll go all along that way but this side is going to be really flat so i’m thinking hopefully we could have like another balcony over here popping out of the build that would probably make it look a little bit better and then we’ll try and

Just go crazy with the decorations around the build uh probably a little bit more strips through as well this way but what if we were to maybe put like a big window on the side like like big window right there and looking at the roof and all

Of that stuff over there that could be cool and then a door over here to go on to this porch too for sure maybe we put it like like right there three four in something like that it won’t be centered but i think that’ll look good okay yeah i have to admit that

The strip serious wood wasn’t the different part of the build um if you’ve seen my builds in this world uh spruce wood strip it’s kind of a common theme here but you know what isn’t uh what is it that’s beautiful looking that’s inside of my shulker box

Oh quartz quartz is amazing now i don’t think we should use blocks of course i think it should probably be like smooth or maybe even bricks but what if maybe we use like quartz on this build like strips through wood and quartz like oh no quartz is so amazing looking

We have to write it we can put a window right there we’re gonna have a door right here so that’ll go up and over definitely not the blocks though should be smooth i’ll have to make it smooth in a second um didn’t finish over here but probably the same thing like

Like oh it’s gonna look so good it’s gonna look so good it’s gonna be amazing maybe window on the porch over here too and door over here again oh i love quartz it’s amazing but i need to take it all down it needs to be in a furnace it

Needs to be smooth i don’t really like quartz blocks very much sorry quartz blocks so i’ve been waiting for my quartz to smelt up and i i wanted to say this because i haven’t said it in a while but if you don’t like um mossy stone bricks you’re not welcome

Here so please leave please uh we don’t want that kind of energy over here i do not accept the negative energy from that person mostly stone bricks are amazing okay cool if you agree you can stay and subscribe all right so it’s not all of the quartz

That we have but but some of it i cooked up like half a stack this is gonna help us get a better idea as to what we’re doing here but uh like i said not only one story so i’m thinking we’re gonna go up this is gonna

Be the start of the second story so we’re gonna basically uh do the same thing all over again this is all gonna go up like this and i’m not 100 sure exactly how we’re gonna make this work out but we’re gonna make it work uh so for now that’s kind of what i’m

Thinking this will cut right across to the other side same thing over here over here since we’re gonna have a door i figured i would frame around the door that’ll be good we could go like that and still have a window in here that might work

Maybe not if it doesn’t then we won’t uh same thing over here we’re gonna have a big tall window that should be fine we’re gonna have a door over here on this side hopefully going out to another balcony that looks out by the water that’s cool and then definitely a window

On the side for sure so i’m thinking i guess we’ll put the window like right there that’s probably fine that gives us room for whatever we set up over there that’s probably good that’s cool and all but we could probably make it look a little bit better

I think with a tiny bit of bricks mixed in here so what if we were to maybe take the smooth and i don’t know if this combination exactly works but what if we took the smooth and like put the bricks in there there’s of course going to be like a defined border

Sometimes but i feel like that’s going to help texture the smooth quartz a little bit and make it look a little bit better actually detail it’s all about the detail okay yeah something like that that’s really cool looking and now let’s actually move off to

The next story so uh the next story no more rectangles rectangles are nice and all but i’d like to switch it up i’m thinking that this building will be two stories so we’ll have one two right in here uh and then we’ll have a roof

On the build of course we need a ceiling uh the ceiling should 100 be like an odd shape so what i’m thinking is one two three four five we have five right there and then if we were to go over here that that would be this side of the building

So basically a floor down there that’s smaller than the original shape another floor up here that’s smaller than the smaller than the original shape the floor will probably end up sitting in here like this and then to get up a ladder somewhere um how about here

Maybe there okay so ladder that goes up right there on to the second story and then the second story the walls we’re gonna do the exact same thing because i think it worked out really really nicely and to start at least probably the same exact height

On the second story as the first story we want things to look balanced and even so double wide window right there on this side we might be able to do like a big pop out window like looking out over the water that could be kind of cool

For now because we did it like that over here we’ll just take this all the way down maybe the same thing over there i’m not too sure and then over here um i’m out of the stuff but we could probably just fill the wall in for now maybe small window in the center

Okay let’s see we’re gonna have a window right here or a door excuse me what if maybe we might be able to do this because of how we have like the awning that’s going to come over here but if we did like a small window above the door i think that

Could be kind of cool like that and then up here on the second story what if we did this so staircase staircase staircase right over here it’s all going to be spruce because it’ll match pretty well i think from a distance it’ll look fine then we go one two three maybe like a

Tall window right over here i’m thinking uh because we’ll have like the roof coming up over here so we should have room uh staircase staircase staircase and then finally to fix all of these glass panes oh it’s so simple we’ve done it before and i’m still in love with it trap doors

With the trap doors we close the trapdoors like that on both sides the paints connect to the trapdoors it looks like a solid wall and it all stays small and doesn’t take up like a bunch of space so it looks good and it matches the build that uh should probably work

Probably we won’t know until we finish the build it should probably work though okay now let’s actually talk about the roof of the build because that’s gonna be really easy to do it’s like the last major part that we need to figure out i’m thinking that this will be the roof

Roofline this time so double up like that temporary block probably like a staircase eventually uh double up a temporary block staircase eventually like that and then like right right here and then boom that’s the center all i need to do is copy it on the other side

So that’s gonna like double up uh all the way up and we’ll do stone bricks on the outline uh the inside of the roof i i think dark oak this time dark oak would look pretty good it’ll match like what we have going on over here it’ll be really steep

But i think it’ll match the build because we have a two-story build so it won’t be too tall in relation to the build and i think it’ll look really cool it’ll add to like the skyline shape over here so yeah that’s kind of what i’m thinking

Stone bricks on the outside dark oak in the middle all the way across oh that’s gonna make that window way smaller well you know what you know what because it’s so consistent we might be able to do like staircases and slabs and get like a curve in here

Oh what if we did that that could be really cool and that’ll go right across oh that might be the way that might be the way i’m excited about that idea i have to try it i have to try it and then to fill everything in i think this uh

The the quartz can just go all the way up fill in that gap i think that’s probably it but let’s see what if i wanted a better shape so maybe we start uh probably with with a solid block like that then we can do a staircase a staircase

And then it curves down like that that might be a really cool looking shape in there and then of course where it dips down all we need to do is fill in the roof a little bit more like that so it’s all solid that’s really straightforward and i’m

Going to do it all the way up on all the sides and then down here on this last one i might be able to basically i mean we do it the same right like we start with with a block and we do that and and remember i’m thinking like

Staircases up there so they won’t all be flat but can we take it and kind of like change it on the bottom to make it work a little bit better in here so we do like staircases like that maybe slabs there this time and then slabs up here to keep the window open

I think it’ll work i think it’ll work and this gets filled in uh it’ll look weird right there that’s fine no big deal window can just go up and connect to it uh just like this uh-huh and then planter box outside the window that’s it that’s it that’s it i think

Yeah for sure for sure that roof shape definitely absolutely that’s in the whole thing is basically finished up there most of the shell is finished too now it’s just time for a couple details so this window right here it’s kind of boring looking i was thinking maybe what we could do here

Is try and add a little bit of shape to it so maybe we start with some staircases like that right okay then uh what we want to do is a trap door right there and then same thing over here trap door right there right uh huh so far so good

Now we need slabs i was thinking maybe slab slab and then up here uh probably the same thing slab slab like that and then i was thinking maybe i don’t have them right now but more trap doors in here spruce trap door spruce trap door and then actually maybe like a skylight

In here that could be really cool but check this out by placing those blocks around the window a lot more depth then now it has this like circular encasing almost like the clock tower up there like right there kind of cool i i like that so i think we’re gonna leave that there

One thing that i might do to make it look better though extra trap door right there maybe even all the way i’m not too sure we’re gonna definitely need a bed on the inside this time i was thinking brown bed so i got a brown sheep

First brown sheep in the world and also i kind of feel weird about saying it but i don’t mind the jungle boy like i actually don’t hate it so i think we’re gonna leave the jungle floor up top this is what i’ve done i’ve basically finished this room

We have a cool ceiling uh lighting is good everywhere uh crafting table scaffolding i don’t think the villager will ever come up here though i don’t think they can use ladders i don’t really fully remember though but the balcony thing with crimson that’s definitely still gonna be the plan

And the other balcony too two of them let’s start with maybe the small one this is gonna be the small one so first off i’m thinking that we could maybe go up up uh like that and then maybe one more like that we’ll do a staircase here and a staircase here that’s gonna

Support the fences that we’re gonna put on the thing and then we’ll need one more on the front do i have any extra staircases please yes yes okay okay so we end up with something that kind of looks like that that’s that’s pretty good it might be a little bit weird looking but

Uh we could probably blend it in with like walls and fences but let’s talk about this whole roof thing over here so i’m thinking staircase right there and then same thing over here a staircase there then i think what we’re going to want to do is a staircase

Outward like that and then another one over here that’s going to almost finish that off all the way i think probably upside down one there couple slabs right there that’ll be the whole roof shape for that bit all i’ll need to add is a couple supports maybe coming off of the side of

That thing that should be good so ceiling like that something like that uh supports railing easy easy dark oak fences all the way around maybe maybe some of these are like gates instead but for now we’ll do fences i like gates because they look really decorational so we can do like gates

Over here all the way around this thing right there so to make that look a little bit more built up i ran out of walls by the way i’ll come back and get more and have that go all the way down into the water maybe some cracked stone bricks too that

Could look cool so that was the easy side not the tricky side uh i’m thinking that we start by going three up with fences and we place a slab right there that’ll be the support then we probably slap down probably slab up we could probably start by just going

Straight across the side with slabs all the way over to the same spot on the other side so that’s gonna be right there three fences up okay boom so that would technically work we could call it good there but i don’t like the detail i think it should

Be a little bit cooler so what if we came up on this thing and maybe put like slabs in there and then same thing over there adds a little bit more detail that’s cool but could we come on to this thing with like maybe a staircase somewhere like could

We put a staircase like right there um i think we can but honestly if we’re doing staircases we should probably double up make it look a little bit better so that oh but then it’s not a line but you know actually i don’t think that’s bad

I think that’s okay over here to make this look a little bit better upset on staircase that all connects over that’s cool so then after we’re done with everything other than the railings i need fence gates or something nah we end up with something that looks kind of like that

I think that’s pretty good that’s a good covering the top of the build like that area and there it’s lacking big time i think we could fix that actually with fence gates and fences this is what i’m thinking fence gate fence gate over there fence gate

Not that way but a fence gate right there and then another one right there okay so so far so good now i think we should connect all of them with fences so fences in there like that and like that so then we have that pattern in there

It’s interesting looking it’s busy but i think it’s gonna break that up and kind of finish that off now all i need is a couple chains on the side of the build maybe some trap doors for shutters and then that on the other side and we’re basically done

Other than that spot right there that’s really plain to finish this thing up this is what i think we do we pull the staircase out like that so the door sits on a block so i can put a fence gate right there right we want to keep the

Villager inside of the building easy easy uh block block yep just like that wall wall wall okay and then finally to finish everything off staircases we do a staircase right there we do one right there and then on the other side we do one final one right there and that’s gonna

Do it for the porsche the engines of the build and like everything over here so a warning we’re about to shift the vibe of this area entirely forever we can’t undo this it’s irreversible i don’t know if it’s just me but i feel like once you get the

Paths in like the path blocks in an area it looks entirely uh that’s bad i don’t know if it’s just me but seriously i i personally feel like as soon as you get the path blocks in an area it’s just it’s just different it’s just 100 different like it’s actually finished feeling

It’s exciting yeah just like this now we have a road actually connecting this bridge that we built like forever ago we have this area over here the path and then the road goes this way we have the very first building right there finish that up with all the details a

Road that keeps going this way around the building a little bit of terraforming could definitely use a little bit more and then the road that just keeps going past all of these villager houses one two three right there the only problem is this house it doesn’t actually have a villager

Believe it or not uh we could probably fix that now okay so i guarantee that we’re gonna have oh we have villagers that have escaped what are you doing how did you get out of there what no no no no no and we have more over here okay okay okay enough of

That villagers up top this villager well how did you even i don’t even i don’t even understand how you got out i don’t know this is a fully safe facility you’re the first one to have ever done this i i guess i guess you’re just the smartest one here all right nobody

Go to the boat go to the boat yeah yeah to the boat perfect perfect perfect you may be smart you may be independent but that’s not where you work this villager has fully grown into its adult form too which is just amazing now look that’s gonna be your

Job you better cooperate here you go to the job your cartographer cartographer okay okay yeah yeah yeah go back to the cartographer cartographer oh cartographer perfect okay all we need to do is get you inside of that building it’s gonna be a little turkey there’s work stations everywhere

But i think we can do it okay uh how about right there nope nope nope nope turn around go in the house go in the house you’ve done it you’ve done it no okay too soon come on man come on come on come on you’re so close

You are so close okay i think the villager has it i i think i had to take the fence gate out that was the only problem here the villager it has a so fence gator right there cartography table definitely in that corner that’s the good looking side of the cartography

Table and then to finish everything off in here carpet i’m thinking a carpet in the center of the room i checked the light level we’re good blue carpet matches the table bed matches up that and the whole building cartographer villager hi my boy my boy my good boy michael all right the

Cartographer villagers so this is where we’re going to end everything today we’re not going to talk about the cartographer too much but no you can go up the ladder no no no no okay guess i didn’t realize that one we’re gonna have to fix that fall back down there sorry sir sorry i

Think if we take the bottom ladder out the villager won’t be able to do it i was saying cartographer villager buys paper sells map very special so smart i hope this works i don’t think the villager will be able to do that up top there’s nothing really important anyways

Maybe just to be safe i take a second ladder out uh don’t go up there oh yes by the way the villager is allowed on this balcony not that balcony though this one would be too dangerous there could be a witch easily this one should be pretty safe though so

I can walk out there not over there but that’s gonna just about do it for today’s episode of the guide we will definitely be talking about the cartographer villager a whole lot more just wanted to get the house in today added to this area and completely change how this thing

Looks like look at it that’s so different i i love it i’m so excited about this i love seeing the city actually like filling episode 89 comments of the day shroom lights exist waddles have refused to acknowledge resistance yeah um so shroom lights are really cool and i was actually hanging

Them from the trees which that comment reminded me there are like a lot of things around the base that i actually need to get finished so i’m thinking that sometime really soon here we’re gonna have to do like a catch-up episode and like fill in this area finish that up

Uh the shroom lights like hanging from the trees and everything yeah just really like catch everything up so soon maybe even next episode i’m not too sure that’s gonna do it though for today’s episode of the guide i hope you guys enjoyed these billy episodes i have
