Ghasts arguably the nether’s most annoying mob these flying marshmallows are a weird but a nice fit to the minecraft aesthetic but they’re nothing too out of the ordinary or are they ghasts add an interesting factor of fear to the nether from losing your nether portal to being blown up randomly out of Nowhere and getting burned to death upon first glance gas seemed like a rather normal mob given minecraft’s endless array of creativity and possibilities but ghasts do go deeper than just flying marshmallows willing to trap you in the nether this is the unsolved mystery of minecraft’s gas Before we start if you end up enjoying this video make sure to subscribe i put a lot of time into my videos and subscribing helps push my content to other people thank you uneasy alliance rescue aghast from the nether bring it safely home to the overworld and then kill it This is one of the last nether advancements in minecraft it seems like just a normal advancement right bring a gas to the overworld and then kill it but the advancement itself seems to go a bit deeper the nether has always been portrayed as a scary and a mysterious place in Minecraft and many times it has been compared to hell ghasts seem like they fit the mold of the mysterious and scary nether being creepy unusual and dangerous a gassed fireball is especially dangerous aghast fireball in easy mode does 7 hearts of damage 12 hearts of damage in normal Mode and 22.5 hertz of damage in hard mode however if you can manage to hit the fireball back at the gas it will do around 1 000 damage upon impact and at the same time giving you the advancement return to sender going back to the uneasy alliance advancement there’s something we missed With the description of the advancement rescue aghast from the nether bring it safely home to the overworld home i thought the ghast was already home to the nether doesn’t that mean the ghast isn’t supposed to be in the nether in the first place gasps have been known throughout all of Minecraft to be sad screaming and almost tortured sounding creatures there’s even an item in the game that proves this the ghast here the ghast here is an especially helpful item because it is used to make regeneration potions there are also sound files for ghasts called gas cries I’ve always wondered why ghasts cry in the first place they just go around super angry crying and shooting fireballs at any player that crossed their path for absolutely no reason at all but i may have found the reason why yet again tracing back to the uneasy alliance advancement and how it says home Maybe ghasts were native to the overworld and someone or something banished them to another and maybe that’s why ghasts are so sad in the first place but why why would ghasts just get banished out of their homeland for no apparent reason it’s obvious they don’t belong to another and it’s almost Morbid to bring them back to their home just to kill them there are many theories on ghasts and what they are one of these theories is that ghasts are cats which would explain the almost cat-sounding screeches they give when they’re sad however this was disproven to be true Because c418 himself said that the original sounds for ghasts were made by his cat disturbed while sleeping but there’s one theory that really stood out to me after watching retro gaming now’s video minecraft iceberg 2 there was a theory that is kind of chilling the official mojang mobis theory book Shows a cutout of a minecraft gas that from the looks of it is mechanical i didn’t really believe it but after looking through the actual book and searching it up my suspicions were confirmed there is in fact a mechanical ghast on the official mobistery book You can see in the area the brain is supposed to be there is a circuitry and redstone looking stuff in it are ghasts really just mechanical contraptions then how are they crying a machine can’t cry right well maybe the tears are just an axe that the player feels pity for the ghast Only to get backstabbed and potentially killed some would say that this completely disregards the uneasy alliance advancement however i think it ties in just perfectly ghasts seem like very emotional creatures getting angry at everything and crying all the time and what else sounds exactly like that humans do Gas supposedly used to be home to the overworld you know who else is home to the overworld humans are do you see where i’m going with this machines can’t have brains but humans can and what if ghasts had humans trapped inside of them and that’s where the cries come from They come from people encased in machinery begging to be let out but we see these bright cute ghasts flying around with a morbid backstory maybe gas tears are tears of the people trapped inside of the ghasts and when you kill the ghast you’re killing but an innocent person without even knowing it So far this is all we have on the ghast and maybe more will be uncovered later but for now the ghast remains a mystery to be solved let me know what you think guests are in the comments are they mechanical machines set out to cause chaos and give Players a false sense of security or are they really what they claim to be big fluffy marshmallows harmlessly flying around the nether we might never know what ghasts really are and until then this has been the unsolved mystery of minecraft
