The Comprehensive Minecraft 1.16 Speedrunning Guide (Timestamps in Description)

Different techniques and things you might need to know in order to start learning or to get a better personal best in your minecraft speedruns now the reason i’m making this guide is because when i started speedrunning there was no in-depth guide on how to speedrun minecraft i had to watch well over 30

Videos in order to learn all this stuff and those are from different people and different places so i wanted to make this guide so that all that knowledge is in one place and a lot of knowledge that other guides give you assume you know other stuff from playing minecraft so this is why

I’m making this guide because i’m going to assume that you don’t know too much i’m going to show you how to do everything from a to z even stuff like changing your ram adjusting your gamma stuff like that that non-speedrunner players also do as well now if you look at youtube and you

Search up a 1.16 spearing guide the only really good in-depth guide here that will teach you everything would probably be curryways and curry ray’s guide also is pretty lacking i don’t mean to throw shade at curryway because he’s a very helpful member of the community but his guides also assume you know a

Lot of other background knowledge in speedrunning which is why i’m making this guide because most other guides don’t actually teach you how to do everything and assume you know a lot of other stuff i assume if you’re watching this video you want to learn how to speedrun minecraft version 1.16.1

The difference between minecraft 1.16.1 from other versions is that you can use piglen bartering to obtain pearls piglet bartering is where you trade piglins in the nether gold ingots and they have a small percent chance of dropping you ender pearls and with this you can complete the game previously in other updates

You would have to use trading with villagers or manually killing endermen in order to get the pearls you need to finish the game which is why this update utilizes this technique because it’s a lot faster and with this and a bunch of other techniques that i’ll be showing you guys today

It’ll make your speed runs a lot more optimal and a lot faster now i may not be the best speed runner i only have a time of 31 minutes 11 seconds which to be fair is really good but popular twitch streamer and professional minecraft theater uh bennex says otherwise was a paroon

Techniques and tricks that you can utilize to get a better personal best in your speed runs now one of the first things you want to do before you start speedrunning minecraft 1.16.1 is to install fabric loader now what fabric loader does is it allows you to load in other mods

Into your minecraft game now we do this because there are some allowed mods that you can use in your minecraft speedruns this is the minecraft speedrun leaderboard this is the discord the official discord for the minecraft speedrunning leaderboard and they allow certain mods that you can use

In your speed runs now what these mods do is it makes your game run a lot faster now the advantage to this is that minecraft 1.16.1 is not a very optimized version and what i mean by this is that the game does not run as smoothly as it should

You can have a very high end pc and you’ll still get a very very low or inconsistent frame rate and because of this some coders in the community develop these mods in order to make the game run faster so in order to download this mod or the

Mod loader you’re going to go to fabricmc.net i’ll make sure i have all these links linked in the description you go you click on this download link right here and you download either the jar or the exe file to execute in order to download the mod now once you download the fabric mode

It’s going to open up and it’s going to ask you where you want to download and also what version you want to download this in now you want to install version 1.16.1 always have the latest update make sure creep profile is on and then click install i already have it installed

So use this for yourself you’ll see in your minecraft launcher that 1.16.1 fabric loader is in here and this will allow you to load your fabric 1.16.1 mods now the next thing you want to do is you want to actually install the mods for your fabric mod loader now we have sodium

Lithium and phosphor that you can use this is also lazy dfu it makes your game oh it says here it makes a startup faster with less lag i also have this one voyager fixer rare crash krypton it’s used for servers on linux you probably don’t need this one and fast reset

I’m pretty sure this is to reset your game out of worlds and then i personally don’t use this one if you want to toy around with it you can but i also use the sodium lithium and phosphor mods i believe sodium lithium phosphor sodium makes your game run faster it’s more

It optimizes your game more lithium optimizes the lighting engine in minecraft making your game run faster and faster does server side optimization make your game run faster as well now what you want to do is you want to come to the github links for all of these also this is linked in

The minecraft speedrunning official uh discord i’ll make sure linked in description of the video as well i’ll have all the links to everything i show in this video in the description so make sure to check that out so once you open up these links as you can see here we have the

Sodium lithium and phosphor right here now what you want to do next is you want to click on this and it will install the sodium lithium and phosphorus jars and it says here it’s blocked because it could be harmful just allow it and keep it and then these files will

Download and they’ll end up somewhere in your downloads folder now what you want to do to put these actually inside your game is you want to go to your roaming folder you can do this by doing windows r if you’re on uh windows i’m not sure how to do on mac

But you just want to go to your dot minecraft folder and if you’re on windows you do percent app data percent if you click run it’ll bring you to this screen go to dot minecraft then you want to go down to mods and you want to copy paste the jar files from your

Uh downloads folder and already have them in here and you just want to paste them in your mods folder as you can see you have sodium phosphor lithium and lazy dfu all installed in here now this will make your game run a lot faster

And it not just by a little bit by a lot i saw my frame rate go from around 30 to 50 fps skyrocket to 190 to 250 fps the difference is insane that is almost necessary to have this so make sure you download this it is very useful

Another thing that is useful during your minecraft speed runs is to allocate more ram to minecraft the advantage to this is that allocating more ram to minecraft allows minecraft to use more room in your computer to process the game and doing so makes your game run a lot faster

Now the default ram usage amount is set to i believe two gigabytes but if you want to acquire or allocate more ram to minecraft you can do this by heading to installations once you have your fabric loader installed click on these three dots here make sure it’s in the installations tab

Click on edit go down to more options and right here in the jvm argument this will be set to 2 by default and this means that minecraft will allocate two gigabytes of ram while playing minecraft now i have this set to eight because i have enough ram that minecraft can use

Now you can set this to every what you want like if you have 16 gigabytes of ram you could do four or maybe eight or twelve if you have 32 or 64 gigabyte gigabytes of ram you could do eight or twelve it’s all up to you

So i have mine set to eight and i’ve seen that my game runs very smooth so i would set this to 8 and then click save and that’s how you allocate more ram to your minecraft [Applause] You’ll also want to get yourself a speed run timer uh there’s a couple of these timers linked in the minecraft speed or unofficial discord again link in description sorry for repeating this but there is a live split timer there’s also another uh says tux prince timer you can

Download any one of these i use the live split timer you can also go live split and you can download it and if you go to livesplit.org go to downloads and download the latest version then you can set up your timer and you can use it during your minecraft speed runs

Now that you have all your stuff set up for fabric mod with all the sodium lithium phosphor mods installed and all the other ones you’re going to launch minecraft you’re going to be on this screen looks normal but in the bottom left hand corner you’re going to see it says fabric modded

This lets you know that you have fabric mod installed and it has all the different mods in them and all the speed runners uses use these mods the next thing you want to do is go to single player of course and you want to create a new world and this is just

Basic speed running but if you’re speedrunning the random seed glitch list category that means you make a random seed you make a random world you don’t know what the seed is it’s completely random if you’re playing set seed where you use a specific c that’s a completely different category of minecraft speed writing

Then you put in a certain seed into this category but a lot of runners mostly speed run random seed glitch lists what you want to do is you want to just make a new world it doesn’t matter what you name it as you can see here

I have a couple worlds made this is my 525 525th random world just called new world now there are some advantages to playing normal mode versus easy mode i believe in normal mode the drop rates are better in some cases and also mobs deal more damage and your hunger

Runs out a lot more and i spew it in easy mode a lot of other runners also speed run in easy mode as well it’s always been an easy mode because you use less hunger and also you take less damage from other mobs and with this you don’t touch anything

Else you don’t change the game mode or cheats otherwise it disqualifies your run if you want to speed on or a leaderboard position and then click and then click create world now we’re in our new random world and because it’s for demonstration purposes i will be enabling cheats but during

Your minecraft speed runs you cannot enable cheats of course because you’re speed running now one of the first things you want to do if you want to speed run seriously or try to get a really really good time is you want to find a village now villages are really useful because they

Have a lot of things you’re going to need for speed running for example food did the usage of hay bales to make bread or apples or various other items you can get iron very quickly because they’re iron golems in the village and when you kill them they drop between three to five iron

And also there are beds where used beds to kill the energy dragon because in the end dimension when you place down a bed instead of sleeping in it it blows up and speed runners use this explosion in order to kill the ender dragon it’s called one cycling so what you want

To do is you want to look for a village sometimes it may be visible sometimes you’re going to walk around to find one but this is an advanced technique that you can use uh where you use the pie chart on your f3 menu to check if there’s a village within your render distance

Currently my runner distance is set to 18. also a good practice is to set your entity distance to 500 so that all entities spawn within your rendering distance and also turn off entity culling so basically just make your settings in fabric video settings look like this the

Quality you can change this around but make sure you have entity distance set to 500 and entity coloring off and i use planar fog which There’s this so the very uh advanced methods that people use to find villages is by using shift and f3 now what this does it opens up so your f3 menu looks like this shift f3 has your pie chart in the bottom right now this pie chart tells us

A few different things let me go to the default state first hit shift f3 it looks like this now in order to actually find if there’s a village in your world you want to go to tick so as you can see here my tick is

Three on the pie chart so hit three it might be four or two for you then hit level it’s one for me go to entities and then go to block entities what this shows you is all different block entities blocking these are mob spawners chess smokers furnaces blast furnaces

Uh i believe they have bells and if you have campfire those also count so what this shows you is that these blocks are within your 18 chunk runner distance 18 chunk render distance means this one page here if i click f3 and g to show my chunk

This 16 by 16 area is one chunk now i have an 18 render distance right now what this mean is that minecraft is currently rendering this chunk and 18 more that way 18 more that way so an 18 uh render distance radius so there’s 18 chunks loaded all around me

So this f shift f3 shows me that in that radius there is a chest a beehive a mob spawner those are just normal but there’s also a brewing stand a bell and a blast furnace it just so happens that those type of blocks happen to spawn in villages

Another way to check if it’s actually a village if you go back click zero and then go to tick which is one for me inside of the entities menu this shows you all the different mobs in your area again this is why it’s a bit advanced and maybe not useful for

A beginner runner but it shows you that hey there are of all the mobs spawned in your world 11 there are pigs 10 percent are cows and it’s unspecified items but the key thing is that there is a villager and that only happens when there’s a village within your render distance

There’s also iron golem because iron golem’s spawn in villages this tells us hey there is a village within your rendering distance right that’s always a good thing to know right so you want to do is you want to look around because now you know that there is a village

I already checked out this world beforehand because again it’s for demonstration purposes but now that you’re confident that there is a village in this world it’s good to run as you can see it’s right there usually we want to do is by the one or maybe like three minute mark if you

Don’t find anything useful in your minecraft world is you want to just save and quit and create a new world it’s usually not worth if you want to go for a better time to keep playing a world that you know isn’t good you’re better off just resetting if you are a

Very very very beginner runner then honestly what type of world or the seed it is really does not matter to you you should just speed run gather some experience and then try for trying to get a better personal best so this is for trying to lower your speedrun time

A lot where i’m at i have a time of 31.11 it’s very necessary for me to reset my world by at least one minute if i don’t find anything useful in the world so now i know hey there’s a village i see it this is a useful world for me to run

Now i’ll show you guys some spearing tips for how to effectively and very optimally go through a village what things you need to do and some very good techniques to use in villages now villages in minecraft are very special because they have a lot of things you need in order to speedrun

The first thing we have here is hay bales now hay bales are good because they give you bread right because you can because one hay bale gives you nine wheat nine wheat craft it it gives you three bread right if you go into these houses as you can see

There are beds you can break these beds and then collect them i like putting them on the top part of my inventory if you craft a hoe then you can mine this what do i like doing in order to uh optimally get all my tools is break three wood

So i go up to one of these houses and i just pillage the sides because we’ll never be coming back here again so don’t worry about stealing uh crack these up into uh wooden planks and what you want to do with your three logs that you just got is in your crafting inventory

Make a crafting table and two sticks like so that we get eight or two stick crafts that gives you eight sticks total with this you can make a wood pickaxe you want to gather it’s up to you for six cobblestone or nine six gives you all the tools you need

And then nine gives you also a stone pickaxe but usually i don’t get a stone pickaxe because there is also a strategy i’ll show you guys uh uh coming up soon on how you can get an iron pickaxe very quickly so now here this on your three sticks they make a

Axe hoe and shovel so all that quickly is if you hold down your left click right click right click right click like so it makes all your tools like that then you can click on your inventory so click three nine two one and these are all in my inventory

Now as you know iron golems are friendly but when you attack them they’re gonna kill you so if you want to know the optimal way to kill iron golems what you need to do is you need to get stack up one two three blocks hey come back here

Come here and once you’re three blocks high you’re just high enough so you can’t hit you if you’re a block lower i’ll go down for demonstration purposes ah it’s coming to kill us which is why you should probably get three blocks height they go up again

Oh just barely then you want to do axe crits because they do the most damage even more than a diamond sword and then kill one takes around seven or eight hits if you miss an axe critter knives and they drop three to five irons so i got pretty unlucky here

Getting only three but it works out now again the reason why i usually don’t make a stone pickaxe is because you can get an iron pickaxe really quickly and by what i mean quickly that you can actually use the iron you get from the iron golem

To use it as an iron pickaxe now you want to use an iron pickaxe at speed runs because in the bastions where we get gold which i’ll show you guys later in the video there are gold blocks and you can’t mine a gold block with a

Stone or a wooden pickaxe now you could always mine for iron down in caves but if you’re going for a really fast time then a really good strategy to use is the cod strut as i like to call it or some people call the buckets or the barrel strap

What you want to do is you want to find a farmer villager and if there is no farmer villagers in your village all you got to do is craft up a composter what you do is you get slabs in a u-form and you get a composter

Now you want to talk with a farmer villager and you want to get them to have the wheat trade i can actually place these down so i get a couple of these guys to be the farmer villagers again you gotta just break the workplace and place it again

To reset their trades and as you can see right here we have the wheat to emerald trade now i have to do sacrifice a stack of wheat almost and you get three emeralds now what you can do with this three emeralds is you can craft a barrel the craft recipes like so

Planks on the side slabs like this around the edges and you have a barrel now what you want to do is you want for one of your villagers to become a fisherman the reason why you want them to become a fisherman is because a fisherman

Has a chance to have the trade of three emeralds for one bucket with a fish and there we go i just reset his workplace as you can see here three emeralds per bucket of cod now i get this and now i just got a free water bucket i didn’t

Have to spend the three iron from killing the erin golem for this fish right so that saves you three iron right there of course you could have gone in the mine gone three iron made a furnace got some coal and smelted it up but this tends to be a lot faster than that

Then you can just let your fish free or you can let your fish die and then the comments will yell at me sorry then i just got a free bucket now unfortunately i got a bit unlucky when i was dealing with the iron golem there i only got three

Usually you want to get either four or five iron because with that you can also make a flint seal so now i have to go actually mine one iron and get a flint steel where if i got a four or five iron trade i could just make the flynn steel

Now making the flintsteal all you need is one iron and then gravel gravel usually spawns somewhere near water or along a cliffside doesn’t take too long to find you can see here gravel and there’s a chance that gravel turns into flint and with this flame you craft it up with

One iron either from the iron golem or mining if you only get three and you can make a flynn steel villages also have a chance to spawn in with a blacksmith now the blacksmith is very useful because it also provides you a chance to get iron obsidian which is used to make

Another portal from the nether which i’ll talk about later in the video so the other village i just went to had no blacksmith but this one appears to have two so this is pretty lucky now if you look in here there is diamonds some food and obsidian so you always want to take

Whatever you can get your hands on and whatever is useful to you so this village has two strongholds we’ll check them out let’s go through here as you can see here we have three irons some food and oh also an iron sword right so if you already have this three

Iron and you go off and you kill your iron golem and it gives you four iron there’s no need to do bucket strats or anything like that because you already got the iron from the blacksmith so this is really a key way to show how you need to

Know how to use your resources during a minecraft speedrun minecraft spearing is all about using your resources and making quick decisions on the fly which is why it’s good to know this and experience this for yourselves in your speed run so you get to know

What do you need in order to finish your speed runs what is useful to you what is not useful for you should you pick up uh two diamonds are those actually useful for you and stuff like that in the long term but i’ll tell you this for sure it’s always

Worth to pick up obsidian so make sure to pick that up i’ll explain why later on in the video now the amount of food and the amount of beds you want to get from village is up to you i see in my speed runs i usually use up to around 30

Bread but i still like to take about a stack of bread with me and of course you get that through getting the hay bales around the village and also the beds you want to get as many beds as you’re comfortable with with killing the inner dragon now i personally am comfortable with

Seven beds but i can kill a dragon with five beds and there is a dragon bed practice map i’ll make sure a link in the description below as well check it down there with all the other links and it’s really great practice on killing the ender dragons

With the beds and you can get comfortable with the amount of beds you want to use so you don’t have to go to the village and get every single bed only get as many as you want for example is one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen

Fourteen about fifteen houses with beds this couple houses don’t have beds in them so it doesn’t make sense for you to collect all 15 bits so only get as many beds as you’re comfortable with or as many as you need for example if you need nine beds

Get nine if you need ten for some reason get ten if you’re a pro speed runner and you only need five then take five but i’m comfortable with seven so i usually have to take seven with me whenever i go off into my speed runs so that is how you do villages optimally

Now if you find a desert pyramid these are also somewhat useful because if you go to the bottom of these they have chests with a bunch of glute in them so like on your here you don’t have to go to the village and get iron gold is useful for bartering and also

Making armor and also you can get this nine tnt underneath here now this is useful because you can obtain blocks a lot more easily in the nether when you have tnt on you and i’ll show you that in the another portion of the guide now if you’re feeling a bit adventurous

And you find a shipwreck this is a bit of a intermediate technique to use you can go inside the shipwreck and there will be sometimes in the shipwreck there’ll be a portion as a chest and inside this chest will be a buried treasure map now these are useful because you can

Find treasures and inside them will be like iron diamonds and gold and this helps you a lot to get tools and you know really good tools so for the rest of the speed run as you can see here i need to go north and east i can look what direction i’m going

By checking right here as you can see this is a basic north and that way since i’m facing east so if you’re speedrunning the game you would go somewhere over here and then you want to go where the x’s now finding the shipwrecked treasure is actually really

Easy what you want to do is line yourself up on the x arrow so i see i’m on the map here now look at this number here chunk number something number now this number in the middle doesn’t matter you want to look at this one here and this one

You want to go where it says nine something nine so you see i’m 10 or 13 now you want to it’s doing the numbers inside this chunk so this is that it’s the 10th by 13th block in this chunk you can see here it’s going

From 10 to 12 so you want to go where it goes nine now it was 10 now it’s nine as you can see we’re on the 13th block since it’s 14 this way we go back we’re gonna go to nine and there we are we’re at nine

Nine on this chunk now here if you mine down every single time the shipwrecked treasure will be here this is a really useful technique to use this one’s pretty bad just one iron ingot a couple hook fish as you can see here if you use this 99 technique every single time

You will always find the shipwreck treasure and sometimes it has a lot of iron you never even have to go to the village now some useful things to know in speedrunning concerning the f3 commands that you might want to know some bases some basics one would be f3 and g

It shows your trunk borders of nearby chunk so you can see where the trunk border starts and ends f3g to turn it off f3 and b turns on the entity hitbox this is especially necessary when killing the ender dragon and you can click f3 and b again

To turn that off another good one would be f3 and f it increases your render distance by one also you press shift f3 and f it decreases your render distance by one this is useful so you don’t have to go to your video settings every single time

And adjust it from there also if you press f3 and q it shows you all the different uh different f3 commands that you could use and if you want to use any of these you can also the you want to do shift and f3 i’ll bring up the pie chart here and

This pie chart is uh useful for finding block entities if you go to take level entities block entities and it’ll help you find things like villages by showing you where block entities are in your world the final fp command that might be useful to you would be f3 and t

It reloads your resources so if for some reason your sound bugs out i know that happens to me sometimes when i start minecraft and i can’t hear any sounds you press f3 and t it’ll reload all the resources and that way if anything’s bugged out then it’ll be fixed

All right now we’ll learn how to build the nether portal using a lava pool so what you’ll want to do is of course find all of a pool they’re pretty out in the open sometimes so usually sometimes just on the surface sometimes you might hear them underground if you’re walking it just shows

Lava pops in the bottom right even though you’re near lava pool and also there’s a lot of lava pools underground so if at some point of speed run it’s going to be a lot of time and you’re already pretty far into the run and there’s no lava pool

You’re better off just mining straight down and randomly hoping to mine towards a lava pool so for example if you’re mining down here this way and you’re in creative mode or survival mode if you’re mining down you can see here it tells you if you go to

Music and sound and turn on subtitles the subtitles will tell you when you’re next to stuff so it literally says oh lava pops so i’m next to lava so if i keep mining down and listen to my surroundings boom i’m next to the lava and now you can build your portal from here

But first let me show you how to make the portal itself so what you’re going to want to do is find a straight edge that’s around four blocks long as you can see there’s no four block line ledge that’s convenient for me to use so i’ll just make one myself there we go

Now the first step you want to do is place down one block here in the middle like that or just on any side then you want to place the water bucket here now create these two obsidian and the water will be here and then your block will be there

Now break this block and now two more obsidian will be made so this will be the outline for where your portal is going to become now on one side of where this obsidian is you want to go up three out one like this upside down l tetris piece

And then the other side but this one is you want to cover it out like this now this is the standard formation on how you’re going to make your uh nether portals now on this block here of the l i’m going to place on your water bucket as you can see here

All the water flows into here and it makes it really convenient for you to place down the lava so in the starting lava pool you pick up lava and you’ll make your portal and you’ll break the box the blocks at the bottom and then get rid of your water and now

You can enter your nether and also before you go to the other it’s useful to bring a lava bucket with you because sometimes a lot of nether mobs might be around you like hoglands or other piglets so something you just place lava and you can get away from them which why it’s

Useful to bring lava buckets with you to the nether i’ll show you how making a another portal will be later on once you practice quite a bit do you just want to make this this comes with quite a bit of practice as well because i’ve done this

A couple hundred times pretty rusty as well sometimes your block will ghost out like that happens quite a bit then you place it here and you enter your log you’re right to your nether that was quite sloppy now you’re in the nether the nether is a

Deadly place as you can see here this guy wants to kill me a lot so we want to do is you want to use gold that either you get from mining around the gold nuggets or another or gold you get from the overworld and make some gold armor

So gold pockets spawn quite all over the nether you can see here there’s some here you can see there’s some here there’s a lot of gold down here so you’ll mind quite a bit of this and you can make enough to get some armor on so you might want to make some gold

Boots and then wear these now how structures spawn in the nether is that they spawn in different quadrants each quadrant is a certain size large and in this certain quadrant only one structure can spawn in the middle of these quadrants there’ll be a little bit of overspill area

Where the structures can spawn on the screen now with editing magic i will now put the nether quadrants image and around the nether quadrants image you can see uh where the structures can spawn where you are 0 0 and where the over spillage area is so using this knowledge you can walk

Around the nether in a very optimal pattern by going in a circle around these quadrants or to find the quadrants very quickly now here in this world as we can see here this uh basing thing helps you locate which are your goings this is positive z

And positive x so i know i’m going the positive positive quadrant direction as you can see here in the positive positive quadrant there is in fact a bastion and this is the world i use to get my pb so in the positive positive quadrant there is a bastion now if you didn’t know

Anything about the world you didn’t know where anything is you don’t know how to find anything using any of the funny techniques you might go to the negative negative quadrant afterwards and lo and behold we find a fortress now this of course is a very lucky seed

That helped me get my personal best and as you can see that another fortress is in fact within the negative negative quadrant well in it as you can see the coordinates are negative and negative so the fortress structure has spawned in here now using this knowledge i know that in the negative negative

There won’t be another structure right so it wouldn’t make sense for me to continue going on this way right that would mean that if i’m here the negative negative i see a structure in here for example let’s say there’s a fortress of course there is one if you go over to

Negative positive and there is another fortress right then you’ll know hey maybe i don’t want to go to this fortress because i need a bastion and you’ll go look in another quadrant so that’s how quadrants work and how structural spawning works in my craft except this seat is just very lucky and

That’s how i got my personal best now a quick way to find bastions while you’re speed running is first of all you want to go to options video settings over quality and make sure your entity distance is turned all the way up to 500 percent this part is key

Also make sure entity calling is turned off and you can use planar fog if you want to now to find the bastion press f3 and look at some key numbers the first one is going to be your m value and your c value right here what these two numbers

Tell you are the total amount of uh monsters i believe and and uh creatures which are like uh striders in the nether then let’s do is you want to add these two numbers together and mine are about 75 and 25 add up to be about a hundred

Now look at this number next to the e look at the second number and this is the amount of anti uh entities that are rendered within your rendering distance and minus set to 18 right now as you can see there’s about 160 entities rendered in if this number take it so 157

Around 160 subtract it by the sum you got from these so it was about 100 and you get 160 which is this minus 100 is 60. now if the number you get after you subtract is greater than 30 then there is a bastion in your area now to find this bastion

You’re going to want to spin around and see where the entity counts the highest as you can see this number here pretty low 35 540 all right then it goes okay 70 80 now and it stays at about 80 and 90 is where it’s highest and where it’s highest the bastion is

That way to further narrow down specifically where the bastion is go to options and turn your fov all the way down to 30 and this will specifically tell you where that bastion is you want to check where the entity count within that general direction is the highest

Currently minuses 63 then you want to look around so as you can see it dips down to 8 13. now bastion contains about 30 piglets which is why it has 30 entities so you want to look where it’s the highest mine says here that 66 is probably the highest that means the bastion

Is going to be this way if i zoom out to the fob i want if we go that way where we first pointed to look at that there is a bastion so that’s a quick and easy way you can use to find bastions if at the beginning

Uh when you checked for the mobs and you subtracted this number by this and it was less than 30 that means there is no bashing with your rendering area again that number is how many chunks are rendered in your render distance if there is no bastion you might want to reset your world

Or move around until there is a bastion in your area it’s kind of hard to find a bastion if it’s not in it so you’re better off resetting now bastions are of course good because these guys contain a lot of good things like gold blocks obsidian again there’s more gold blocks in there

And if you go down in a bastion there is sometimes a lot of gold for example there’s gold here there’s more there should be more gold here yep a lot more gold and a lot more gold so coming up now i’ll show you guys how to route

The four different types of bastions now i’ll be showing you guys how to identify which bastion you have and also how to route these types of bastions now i’m not the best at routing bastions there’s probably a ton of more efficient ways to do it i’ll link

Down below in the description a couple better videos i’ll explain this a bit better but i’ll show you from a runner that is within the medium 31 minute time range how i route these bastions now this is a bash and practice map i’ll link this in the description below

As you can see here there’s a youtube video i’ll link the channel as well now there are four different types of bastion there is first there’s treasure bastion there is housing there is stables and there is bridge now let’s check out bridge bastion first now one of the most notable features

About bridge bastion is that right at the beginning of it there is a large bridge that has all the gold right up on this pedestal that is the easiest way to identify that’s bridge if you can’t see the gold pedestal another easy way to identify that

Bridge is that there is this sort of lava ball wall next to the bridge and i believe it extends downwards as well yep so that’s an easy way to find out what bastion you are if you see this or you see this gold on this uh ledge right here

That’s how you know you are in uh bridge bastion now the way you want to route uh bridge bastion is you want to get this gold here and get all this gold up on this pedestal now if there are angry penguins around you that want to kill you because you’re stealing their gold

Then what you can do is you can just craft up a block and toss it on the floor to distract them while you steal the rest of their gold to finish up on that this will be practically all the gold you need craft it up i actually just saved one gold block which

I did wrong you want to go around these guys if they hit you a couple times don’t worry they want to bridge upwards right next to this lava ball mine this fix that they also want to grab one of these stairs this is kind of useful

And right up on this ledge right here right at the end also if you somehow need more gold blocks there is more back here go up this wall break these blocks to make a little staircase then you might want to plug these holes here and right over here place a block

Place that one stair you got right there place blocks all around here so pickles can easily get up and down dig this hole down one and make sure you cover up the sides so that stuff can’t go in i believe there’s a mushroom there there you go now the piglets

You have are going to go in there now you want to anger these pig ones i should have kept the gold block which i didn’t do now you can see there’s all these piglets here and they’re going to get really angry once you break this gold block

All right so we want to do is place it down break it quickly get your gold and toss it into this hole there we go this will distract the piglets from the fact that you’re breaking gold as you can see here they’re slowly funneling in did it be still angry at you

It might hit you a couple times that guy just team killed but just keep on throwing until they’re all in and once you get for the most part all the piglets then you can break the gold block again and then keep on throwing in the gold

Now let these guys trade up as you can see we already got pearls it’s nice to make two stacks of these so you can just quickly collect them go around this side there should be a chest over here you can get some easy loot from because sometimes i’m sitting in here free pants

Though now sometimes not every single time when you play merge bastion there is on this right side uh these double chest and single chest now you can just distract these guys over here and sometimes in this case there’s good gold easy crying obsidian and also the fast pickup

Multiple of a block just double click on it and they’ll all come right through so you want to get for the most part crying obsidian regular obsidian string is nice sometimes and then gold now if you go back up and over around to where your piglets were or trading

Want to dig a little hole right next to them there that way you can pick up stuff now they did not drop me any pearls aside as i got in the beginning craft of these and you can trade by to the near piglins to really diversify who you’re trading

With now there should be a lot of guys in here and once they drop you as you see got three pearls here and once they drop your enough pearls and you have as many you need also make sure you grab obsidian this is crucial for the

End fight and also get making a pearl to the stronghold which i’ll show you later make sure you pick this up and wait till you get your pearls also pick up fire rest this is useful for fighting against the blazes and then you can of course just cycle out what you want

What you don’t want and as you can see they’ll drop you stuff now once they’re almost done trading what you can do is you can drop gravel on their head any remaining stuff in there will just burst outwards just in case there are any pearls up on the sides

As you can see here i got a bit unlucky with my trades i only got 12 pearls you probably could have gotten a bit more but trading is all about luck as you can see i did not get the best luck so yeah that’s how you do bridge bastion

Now the next type of bastion i want to show you guys would be treasure bastion now treasure bastion is quite unique excuse me there go here to show you around treasure bastion has a big lava moat and that’s how you can identify that you are in fact at treasure bastion

Now the way you want to approach this one here once you get yourself to this part of the bastion we’re at the lava mode right up at the bottom there’s a small chance that there’s gonna be a chest over here and the chest has some loot some obsidian as you can see there

Is let me just quickly snipe it without the piggies getting angry at me well i completed that wrong they want to bridge upwards and you want to go right to where that gold block is on the bridge this is in bridge bastion it’s treasure though there is silly bridge

Want to break this golden block gonna act quick people are gonna be angry at you craft up this gold ask the goal to distract them break the second block here crack this up now that you distracted them thoroughly you want to run for your life go up these stairs go around

Upstairs and go as high up as you can now you want to distract these guys here cost mr gold so they don’t know grab all this crying obsidian nuggets are fine i guess there’s ancient debris grab this obsidian better boots a nice soul speed that’s useful

And want to come up in here let’s get your gold back ooh pearls pick what you can now right here in this double chest room right up on the first stairs break these blocks put a block behind you make this gold block they’ll anger a lot of piglets

Pick up a 2-d 2d pole break this block and throw in gold it might hit you a couple times it’s fine you’ll be okay keep on throwing it in uh see that’s mostly guys tossing most of the gold open this chest more gold more obsidian more crying hobby more string

Pass that in and you want to go up over here now this part is really rng based but you want to do is right on the on the wall look up there might be gold there is look down it might be gold there isn’t i go in the center but we saw

Up there’s gold down there’s also gold excuse me on this side of the wall look up there is no gold look down there is gold eat up they want to go up and around it might be a bit dangerous and then go down on the center as you can see here ooh

Gold up two gold up nice roll down on this side gold up no go down yes over here hold up yes go down no this is a pretty good fashion now you can toss this guy a couple gold so you can be busy go back down to where your piggies were

Pass the rest of the gold into them and they can trade you up all the trades that they have you’re gonna wait down over here you’re gonna wait for all the gold to be traded up i’ll probably just speed this part up because it takes a bit

And now most of the gold has been traded like all we have we have quite a few pearls we got a lot of obsidian this is good good string if in case you need to make more beds you can craft stuff into wool and then of course you can make beds using this

And also you want to collect all your items a bit better you can go down right to this corner you can pick up the items you can’t grab make sure you drop the gold and for the most part that’s how you do treasure bastion this time i didn’t get many potions

That’s usually good for fighting the blazes but that is how you route the treasure bastion now the next type of bastion is one of my favorite it’s housing it’s the one of the most consistent bastions let’s go in check it out and here we are

Now the way you know that you have come to a uh you’re in a housing bastion that there’s some nether work going at the bottom and there is a chest this is one of the big indications that you are at housing bastion how you want to route this is you want

To come down you want to break this you want to just look in this chest here obsidian is good holding it some iron nuggets there are some scattered gold blocks if you really need them take them otherwise it’s not really worth for the most part

What you want to do is you want to find where the other part of the bastion is you can see this chest right there that’s where you want to go let’s head up now there’s the double chest in here now this double chest contains really good items

You can see gold block a chest plate prying up cydia you can get a bow and arrow if you need not really useful in the most part and you want to dig straight ahead and once you dig straight ahead you need this upper part where the pigments can

Come in from you want to cover this part up now there’s going to be gold blocks here you can see some gold in case if some piglets get angry at you let’s just put that there as you can see they are in fact angry at us

So let’s keep on minding the golds while they’re angry and that angered a lot of people the good shot you want to do is just cover one block up mine all the way up so all the pigs in the surrounding area can come and funnel down right where you are

You want to break all this gold craft it up toss it in i keep looking around there’s at least eight or nine blocks here so keep digging look at all these blocks i like this one right here i should be here for the most part on this side might be something back here

Maybe maybe one or two blocks left as uh outside the bathroom i think for the most part we got all the i’ve got all the blocks let’s toss in some gold on this side or there’s a couple of piglets here tossing the gold there that guy is completely on face of what’s

Happening to his home as you can see we got pearls already let’s toss that gold back in and we’ll let these guys straight up and come around here dig a hole down right on the corner and collect items a lot more easily classic old bikin so they keep on trading

And they’re giving us a lot of good stuff we already got pearls we got a lot of crying obsidian this is useful during the end dimension fight against the ender dragon we’re getting more obsidian which is good from that chest plate a lot of stuff here there’s a potion we got some string

We can use this for wool to make beds more pearls as you can see here we already got 16. it’s good to split them so you can get uh more pearls instead of just one stack you already have fire res that’s gold back into another fire rise

Got better boots with soul speed these are quite useful that’s why all the gold that these guys have we got more pearls you can see even though we haven’t finished up with our gold we got most of things we need of all the pearls all the fire rice so

That for the most part is what you need from a housing bastion as you can see very consistent it’s almost like this every single time now the last and the least bastion is stables now i really dislike stable sebastian and a lot of other people do as well because staples is really

Rng based and it’s super hit or miss i’ll show you what i mean let’s head on in and we are at the stables bastion let’s look around here in spectator mode so you know you’re in stables bastion because this is the only bastion where hogland can spawn right here in

The middle so if you look around for a bit you might find yourselves a couple hog ones you can see it’s this one right here and they’ll continue to spawn in around here and there’s also a lot of lava there’s a lot of holes at the bottom

Of stable’s bastion now one of the most consistent things about this bastion is that if you look to where the head of the bastion is you see this is the head because there’s more bastion extending out right up at the bottom right here there’s always a chest guaranteed to be

Here this is probably one of the most guaranteed things about stables bastion is you see here crying obsidian now what you want to do here is that you want to go from that bottom chest go up and you want to go over here i want to break these blocks so from the opening

Break over here if there is a staircase you are out of luck because this is a chest room chest room you know a little bit of a city and some iron but you can see here underneath these snout blocks there is no gold and that’s the thing about stables is

That you have three different things that can spawn in this pillar at the bottom there was a chest room at this pillar at the bottom there was nothing now this pillar at the bottom there is another chest room so what you end up with is that this is one of the worst stables

Bastion because there is no gold at the bottom you want to look at an example of maybe a better staples bastion but to the practice map let’s look around in spectator mode and this enables bastion let’s go to the bottom chest right around over here game mode creative so i can show you

Guys hey there’s some obsidian let’s head up from this area and you see this these guys you want to watch out go to your right find a couple blocks and there is no staircase now this is good news because there is gold now if you’re in survival mode doing your speed run

The way you want to play this out is you want to cover up this area right here break these blocks that’s straight and break up there you are cover it up now break these gold blocks in this wall it might be covered but there are gold blocks behind this wall make sure you

Come down this little area your mind this way these are dropped let’s toss them the gold to trade underneath these snap blocks because there is no treasure chest is is instead gold now get this gold there’s not too much get this gold toss it in now if you mine upwards right here

There is a confirm one gold block here to be every time and we can just toss it in with other piggies and now you let these guys straight you can see we already got we already have pearls a lot of them so that for the most part is how you want to

Route uh stables bastion it’s really inconsistent as you can see here we hit really well well previously at the time we did not hit really well we got no gold and yeah that’s how you wrote sables bastion now finding a fortress is like the opposite of finding a bastion

Because you want to find where the entity count is lower in the world you can see here this weights 20 this weights 96 because if the entity counter is high that means there’s a bastion that way so you want to go where there isn’t a bastion so if it’s the

Account is lower that means the chances of finding a fortress is higher unfortunately you can’t really use some advanced technique other than you know where the ntc counts are lower and also if you use the shift f3 technique from finding villages uh as you can see here

It shows that there’s a mob spawner and of course in another mob spawner means that there’s probably a fortress in your rendering area so we know that there’s going to be a fortress somewhere within the 17 chunks or 18 chunks that we have loaded in now in order to go through a

Fortress optimally to find where the blade spawners are there are two different portions of the fortress there’s going to be the treasure part which is it has a roof on top of it and there’s going to be the spawner part as you can see here where the spawner is

There is no roof of netherrack and then as you can see here if you find where a spawner is i believe that there is one down here if you keep looking around this area you’ll be bound to find one right here as you can see here this area

Does not have any roof over it which means that this is where the spawner is going to be now in case if you do come into a fortress from the area that has a roof over it and you know that hey you’re not on the right section of this uh

Fortress right here’s always the rules you want to follow so i’m going to put myself in creative mode so i can walk around here if you see staircases that lead to this always go down them right if you come from uh around another room always go around it

Right and this will be bound to lead you to a better part of the fortress if you come to a room that looks like this it’s like a balcony right always head the opposite direction from here this here the balcony is here i have to head this way this is where the

Uh better part of the fortress is going to be as you can see here this one here i have to head this way if you see stairs with no netherwart around them always go up them right you can see here you don’t want to go down you always want to go up

And this is crucial once you get to this area that has like one lava in the middle this is the transition between the treasure area whoa diamonds see this is the treasure area and this leads you to where the spawners are so if you keep going down here

And you keep on going you’ll be bound to find a spawner in this no roof section of the uh nether fortress you can see here no roof spawner right there now when you want to come kill the blazes in order to get blaze rods i recommend you bring around seven to

Eight so just in case if some of your under eyes or eyes have on your break while trying to find the uh stronghold then you’ll have a couple extra to work with now as you can see here the spawner is right here so you want to bring the fire rises you

Get from trading with piglets that’s why they’re so useful or you can just bring a shield of course this requires you to block while you’re next to one of these guys so i’m going to just kill them real here real quick these take like two axe crits to kill

Or you could just pop this potion on you can just hit them with no restraint now once you’re here you want to mine this first layer of blocks that are right underneath this spawner you can see here there’s a guy two axe crits he’s dead and we get a

Blaze rod now the chance of getting a blaze rod are 50 50 so it’s like a flip of a coin if you get a blaze rod or not every single time so you just want to keep trying until you get around seven or eight rods

You can see here that time we didn’t get one this time we did i also don’t want to come too close these guys because they do hurt you like so so you want to make sure you don’t come too close to them also if you don’t have a firebase potion

And you’re using a shield the shield will not protect you from the fire see i’m on fire so when you have a shield and no fire rest make sure that you’re not walking into fire we have seven just in case we’ll bring one more we’re going to die we sub optimal

For my demonstration and we have seven that’s probably enough so now we could head out also just as a quick thing if you run out of food while you’re in the nether an easy way to get food from these hoglands even though that they’re very you know aggressive

Is that if you bridge up three blocks and if i go into game mode survival second you see they want to come after me right i don’t easy way to get food from these guys you place down lava one two three four times and then you kill them with your axe

You can barely reach down there that bill drop cooked pork chops which is one of the best food items in the game this year place a little bit more lava to kill them off pull up these guys and the babies don’t really attack anyway so i’m gonna run away and now we have

Plenty of workshops to eat i’m about to show you how to find the stronghold very quickly now if you don’t care for using trigonometry and advanced math and you know some a lot of mental math then the really easy way to find the stronghold the most simple way but it

Takes a bit longer is just to throw your eye of ender and follow it wherever it goes now the general strategy is you want to go to at least 1200 blocks on x and y in order to find it that’s where the minimum range for it to spawn

As you can see here i’m about eighteen hundred thirteen negative thirteen hundred in this world if i keep throwing the i of ender it’s gonna point me to somewhere around over here now a good strategy for when trying to find where the stronghold is if you press f3 and g it

Turns on your chunk borders so if you keep on throwing your eye of ender you’re gonna see we’re gonna have to keep following it now somewhere around here we’re getting a lot more straight in this chunk we’re going straight down now sometimes the eye of ender doesn’t lead directly to the stronghold

It’ll just stay in a stasis where it’s like still but it won’t be where the actual stronghold is so once you identify this chunk where the stronghold is first of all you can just disable f3 uh the trunk barriers by pressing f3 and g again now press f3 and you want to look

At about where on the chunk area where it says a number something number it’s similar to if you watch the shipwreck portion of this video you want to go to where it’s the fourth by fourth block in this trunk as you can see here it’s eight now it’s seven six five and four

Now on the fourth block of the chunk but we’re still at the eighth one on the other axis so if we go back eight seven six five four now once the chunk becomes four four and it is the chunk where the eye of ender goes down now we can directly find where the

Stronghold is by mine straight down at 4 4 and i’ll mine straight down and as you can see we wind straight into the middle of stronghold staircase it will always spawn here at the four four block uh in the in the trunk where the stronghold pearl teleports to so yeah that’s the

Slow way to find the stronghold now up now i’m going to show you the really nerdy way on how to find the stronghold it takes a lot of math so you don’t care for it you don’t have to watch that part now how stronghold spawn in minecraft is that

Within a 1280 block radius from zero zero to two thousand eight hundred sixteen blocks of zero zero the three strongholds will spawn in this ring right now what that means is that you have to get to one of those bastions in the ring in speedrun you want to get to the closest

Bastion to you now you could just regularly throw an eye of ender and just keep following it until you’re there but if you really want to speed run then one of the fastest ways to get to your stronghold is by calculating where it is using angles and then a little bit of mathematics

To get to where your stronghold might be now what you want to recognize is that using the nether you can get there eight times faster because one block traveled in the nether is the same as eight blocks traveling in the overworld the reason i told you guys to get a

Bunch of obsidian from bastions and other various structures is because of the fact that you can use 10 obsidian to make a new portal out of the nether and into where your stronghold could be so if you go from the nether and you take 1280 divided by 8 you get 160 except

If you want to go from a diagonally directly at a 45 degree this will end up being a 45 45 90 triangle so you know knowing mathematics is quite useful in speed running but if you divided by that if you divide that by the square root of two

You end up getting about 113 so if you go out 113 and 113 in the nether you’ll end up right at the edge 45 degrees away right at the start of this circle now what most speeders do is that they go to 150 150. now this brings you within 1200 blocks

By 1200 blocks which is comfortably in the ring from there you can adjust like you could go 190 0 or 0 190 instead of weighing 150 150. now i’m going to show you right now how you can utilize the nether in order to find the stronghold so now the way that

You’d actually go find the stronghold in your world knowing how stronghold rings work is that you want to come to the overworld and throw your eye of ender so what i usually do is i usually leave the nether through the same portal that’s why i had you

Write down the coordinates for your old portal then i like to throw the eye of ender and see where it goes so then i’m going to check this number here on the facing because that’s the degree but you can see here when i threw the eye vendor it goes to

Around an eight degree angle right so i have to go eight degrees this way into the optimal area to where the stronghold is going to be now an easy way i can explain this using a graph for example is here is the overworld as you can see here this ring is

1280 and 298 16 which is the ring for where the stronghold can spawn so if it is an 8 degree angle that means that we have to head in a similar line to this now of course you’re going to do this in your head you’re not going to of course be using

Any calculators or graphs on your speedrun that’s uh not allowed but if you’re going at eight degree angle like this you have to recognize the fact that you have to go somewhere over here to where your stronghold is your stronghold is somewhere on this line now you don’t want to be

Too far in or too far out so speeders like to teleport within the middle of these of the ring so now if i bring this similar line over to the nether version of this circle as you can see here an 8 degree angle like this but ending up somewhere around

Teleporting over here like 210 and like 40 right so if we go back into minecraft and we go into our portal and then we go to an 80 degree angle the 210 and about 40. it would be negative 40 and about 210. somewhere around here we want to build our portal

So let’s build this up it’s a large portal go back in and let’s see where we are we’re here let’s locate how far we are from the stronghold 58 blocks away that is about as close as it gets so now we know that we are really close to the stronghold and we just

Have to go a few blocks out here and then you probably go down so a trick you want to use for getting into the stronghold is that if you know where the chunk is they have to go down and they start the eye vendor goes down

In this chunk you want to use a similar trick that i showed in the shipwreck portion of the speedrun guide where you want to go to the four by fourth block of the chunk so as you can see we’re at seven four nine i’m gonna get to

Uh four four so as you can see from the ninth block of the chunk to four and go this way to four and now the portal should be right or no the stronghold should be right here and that is how you can use the fast way to get to the stronghold

Now of course you won’t be using a graph like that in the middle of your speed runs that way just to visualize what speeders want to do or to find where the stronghold is now is it it’s good to look at this before you speed run and all that so you know

Optimal areas to go at different varying degrees for example if your degree was a for example let’s give it a 51 degree angle you want to teleport somewhere around here within the 170 160 area that should be right around the middle and then you know using these numbers if

It was at a negative uh 57 degree angle you want to go somewhere around here so it’s just good to recognize how you want to build your portal out of the nether to get to the stronghold as fast as you can now there is no real way that you can

Find the portal really quickly using stronghold it’s a lot of luck now things that you know for certain in strongholds is if you come to a room like this uh that is like a staircase that goes down and there’s a room here every single time in here a hidden wall

Could be over here so there’s nothing here there’s a chance for the stuff to be here as you can see there was in this one as you saw before there’s nothing here and there’s something here these four walls even if they’re hidden there sometimes is stuff behind them so

It’s always good to check in these rooms if you want to keep going down another good trick is to have your subtiles on so if you hear lava nearby you know that you might be next to where the uh portal room is let’s look at this area as you can see

A whole different section of the stronghold is this way there’s nothing over here and there’s more stuff over here so if you take a look down if we go this way again we end up in one of these rooms again now there’s more rooms like this it’s

Always good to check these rooms if you’re lost and you can’t find with a stronghold or the portal room is for example here as you can see it keeps going on now there really is no real strategy to get there fast it’s a lot of rng for finding the

Portal room as you can see here in this that in this stronghold as you can see here the portal room was somewhere right here right so from where we came down from all the way here you’d have to go to the right down and then down some more all right

So every single time these portal rooms are really rng based so just do your best to identify which rooms you’ve been in and block off places already been to a general strategy you want to do is when you come to the portable room is just go up place a block down there

So you can jump down now if you’re in survival mode these mobs can come after you right so hey they can’t chase you right and then you can place on your eye of enders like so i miss one now you end up in the end dimension now general strategies you want to

Follow when you’re in the end dimension is you want to have obsidian with you either crying obsidian or regular obsidian and you want to go all the way up or if you’re not inside of a solid blocker you just want to go towards where the end island is make

Sure not look at any endermen they want to place any block here and a piece of obsidian or crying obsidian here and the reason we do this is because when we use the bed to kill the dragon we want to have a block here that we can keep on placing beds on

Like so if there’s a block that wasn’t upside down here it would just blow up and you can’t place another bed frying up city and also works the same way that’s why it’s viable so you want to have these blocks placed down here and now you want to come all

The way over here between these two pillars on the right side and you want to bridge upwards and stand over here what this does is that it makes the ender dragon more inclined to perch it’s not that it will perch but the chance of the enderdragon perching increases when you’re here

Now as you can see here it did perch and something you want to also keep with you is you want to have an ender pearl on you and the reason you want to have the ender pearl of course you can purl in and then you can place down your beds

And then kill the dragon as you can see i missed the cycle so you want to generally teleport in before the dragon comes down if you miss it it’s fine you can just go back and then wait for the inner dragon to perch again so you don’t die in the end of course

And let me do an actual end cycle here so we wait for the dragon to come down and perch and you’ll know this movement when it just snaps its head you’ll see the snap it’s really recognizable and if it throws that stuff at you you just want to dodge it

I’ll tell you exactly when the snap is it’s really recognizable though also press f3 and b to enable your hitboxes during the dragon fight watch it come around no snap yet there we go see it just locked its head right towards the center come down here

And then you want to hit its head hit box like so and almost a four bed and that’s how you kill the inner dragon now i’ll show you the specifics on how to kill the energy dragon in the clip coming up next now to actually kill the ender dragon

This is actually a inner dragon practice map so as you can see here i’ll link this map in the description as well it’ll help you practice how many beds you need and how to actually kill the ender dragon so on this map if you want to practice

You choose the amount of beds you want and you click start also you need to reset their world restart the world because the boss bar there’s a weird glitch where the boss bar doesn’t appear just leave and reload it now if you’re in an actual run

You want to press f3 and b to enable hitboxes but under the perch place your bed and now i’m going to pause it right here but that head hitbox of the dragon that little tiny head right there the ender dragon and its hitbox are really out of sync

But you want to be hitting that small head hit box with the bed explosions that will deal the maximum amount of bed damage you could kill a dragon with as little as four beds but because you’re gonna have some imperfections in your bed cycling won’t do the max damage every time

Unless you take a few more beds than four i take usually seven as you can see here right when the head hitbox comes down recycle our bed there’s another one blow it up right when the head hits the bed that was a pretty bad one that’s a solid one and now the

Endodragon is dead and with that you’ve officially beaten the game now once you go through this actual portal here you’ll usually end up back at your spawn you want to reset or you want to stop your timer here and now you have finished your minecraft speedrun

I’ll show you guys how you want to submit your minecraft speedruns when i come to speedrun.com and you want to go slash mc or you can just search minecraft in the game section here i also want to register your account as you can see here my name is heard square chan

Same as my minecraft username once you create an account when it comes to any percent glitch list then of course you can read the rules on what you need to do for the runs make sure you don’t violate any of the rules stuff like you know optifine

And you can’t use f3 before after your runs also want to make sure after you’re done speed running you do slash seed so you know the seat of your world you want to do that after you finish your run never in between otherwise that invalidates your run now to submit your run

You’re going to click submit run but any percent glitch list your username it should automatically fill that then your time for example your first speed run you do one hour six minutes four seconds and 750 milliseconds is what it says on your timer then you want to go to your version and

You want to click 1.16.1 where is it what’s all that top difficulty i usually run easy so whatever difficulty you ran you can do that see type random seed uh version so 1.61 plus that’s the category filters too if you ever use after in your run which you probably did click f3

If you used the mods i told you to install you want to click caffeine mc because those are the it’s the name of the mods that you use the sodium lithium phosphor on fabric mod platform of course you write on pc and the day you speed ran it and then

You have to link the video of the speedrun this is why you usually want to upload your video after you’re done speedrun as you can see here i recorded mine on a live stream i just uploaded the bot onto youtube on this video right here

And then i just link the video over here and in the description you want to type in the seed so if your seed was some number like this i don’t know what your seed is going to be you type that in you click submit and you should get your

Speed run uh approved within two to three weeks because the mods have to handle a lot of speed runs and look at a lot of hours of footage every single day now some general rules on what you have to do when you minecraft speed run first of all you never want to type

Slash seed while you’re in the middle of your run as if you want to submit this run to this video website you can’t know this the seed because you can use this in like a c generator uh finder and it’ll tell you all the structures are so you can’t ever do slash seed

Also if you accidentally quit your world you can always join back i know i’ve done this a couple of times where i actually somehow click save and quit during my run you can come back if it’s by an accident if you use a glitch where you log out

While you’re falling to reduce your ball damage that’s the use of a glitch and randomly glitchless that will invalidate your run because you are using such a glitch also another general practice you want to follow is that i show this in the ender dragon part once you defeat the ender dragon you

Want to stop your timer right after your you enter the end portal that’s the general uh time you want to check when you’re done also when you start your timer you want to be on the first movement so when you start your world these are your timer and then you move

That’s some just general practices you want to do when you minecraft speedrun and with that you’ll have no issues with the speedrun moderators now just some closing remarks if you guys are still here at the way in the video thank you guys so much for actually watching this video probably all the way
