You know, the fact that I can even make this video strikes me as kind of funny, funny that for all the people always looking for new ways to break Minecraft that I happen to be the one that breaks it even more this time. Thanks to the initial discovery that MusicBike on Reddit made, Where you can move the position of the far lands closer to spawn, which I covered in my last video, and me just messing around with more customized world settings after the fact.. I have discovered a brand-new unseen set of far lands: The Sky Far Lands. Or call them the high lands or maybe even the Y lands. Either way, how does it work? Well, let’s check it out! The Sky Far Lands. Today, I’m gonna explain what they are, why they happen and how I found them. Because it’s actually kind of a funny story. While I was making the first video about moving the far lands, I got a little bit distracted so I decided to mess around with other customized world settings, just to kill some time. And then I got thinking: if I can squeeze the far lands inwards on the X and Z axis, Can I squeeze them downwards on the Y axis? And potentially see the top of the far lands? In previous videos, I’ve mentioned that there’s a rumor that the far lands might only be six to eight thousand blocks high in total. Because customized world settings allow you to modify any aspect of terrain generation, It also allows you to modify the height of terrain generation. Since the height scale setting functions in the same way that the coordinates scale setting does, except for height, I decided to mess around with it. So the idea was: if the normal far lands actually generated around 8,000 blocks tall, I need to crunch the height of world generation enough to instead allow them to generate below the 256 block height limit. So if I take 256 and I double it six times, we get 16,384. I chose this number just to be safe, and to ensure that if this was gonna work, Then it would work. In order to cause everything that would normally generate 16,000 blocks up, to instead generate at 256 blocks up or shorter, I had to double the default height scale number six times as well, from 684.412, to 43,802.368. I gave that a try, and nothing. The Far Lands are still at height limit. So, what now? Well, since that really didn’t do anything at all, I decided to just go all out. Remember the value that I used in the last video to bring the Far Lands 47 blocks to spawn? Well, I set that insanely large Number to also be height scale, instead of coordinate scale. If there is any sort of limit to the height of the far lands, THIS would reveal it. Otherwise, I didn’t know what would happen. So I punched in the numbers and generated the world. What occurred next absolutely floored me. The Far Lands appeared in the sky. I was absolutely speechless, because, this wasn’t even what I was going for. The Sky Far Lands are absolutely everywhere! And to my knowledge, this thing has never been seen before. So next, I set both coordinates scale and height scale to the same number for the Same world, to see how all of the Far Lands were going to mix. The behavior is quite strange. Where the two sets of far lands mix, things get kinda weird. On-screen, I’ve notated which areas of the map I’m actually looking at in this segment, Because keep in mind that the two sets of Far Lands can now actually mix together! Whether it’s edge Far Lands mixing with Sky Far Lands, Or corner Far Lands mixing with corner sky far lands. This is truly one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen in Minecraft. So, yeah. There might be one more video about everything that I wasn’t able to cover in this video but it might be for a little while because I don’t want you guys to get the idea that this channel is just a Far Lands channel, or just a glitch showcase channel. But if you guys DID enjoy this video, then please leave a like on it because it really does help out myself, the channel, and the video quite a lot. But anyways guys, I hope you all enjoyed, my name is AntVenom, and I bid you all farewell. Thanks so much for watching. Captions by AbsentHiya Video Information
