THE PUMPKIN & MELON FARM TRADING HALL!!! – Minecraft Hardcore Survival – Episode 18

Well hello everybody and welcome back to another episode here from my minecraft hardcore survival series how is everybody doing oh man i’m doing so good hopefully you guys are doing amazing guess what today we’re at it again we’re gonna be doing some cool things now let me show you

Number one in the last episode we built this awesome cat in and it asked for a bunch of names and this was the one that got upvoted the most times and there was like 50 upvotes and it’s a good one because we have a couple of twins

That are in charge of this inn so we had to call this in the twin inn that’s right let’s go say hello to the twins hello twins i picked you up in the bed sleeping hi how you doing man you do nothing but sleep how’s business pretty good okay thanks for

Nodding i will see you soon would you like to uh eat some feet get fished get fished you’re beautiful all the purse the purrs are amazing and we also have a bunch of kitty cats just loitering around here did you pay would you pay some string probably yes

I bet you that’s what it was uh let’s see is it oh sorry uh didn’t mean to intrude um i guess there’s a vacancy here sorry how about here oh hi one of the twins relatives how about over here oh perfect i can stay the night over

Want any part of what’s happening in there i get it i understand you brownie let’s get out of here things are going crazy in here so i asked you guys in the last episode what should we do for this one and a bunch of people were

Saying it is awesome if you were to make another villager training hall there was a bunch of suggestions too um what’s going on in there there was a bunch of suggestions to a blacksmith to add a bunch of different black smithery stuff and also another one that i really liked was a farming

Trading hall since we have a bunch of potatoes here right and we could do oh god relax brownie that guy’s all beat up and we have a farmer hanging out right here we could build today a pumpkin and melon farm right and build it inside the trading hall

That would be awesome we get a bunch of pumpkins a bunch of melons we have all the potatoes over here we can bring and we can do some trading and that’s going to be amazing and now uh i just got to pick a spot what’s up uh uh pinky

Uh hang out with brownie i gotta pick a spot now what would be a good spot for this i’m thinking maybe over here or we could do it across the way from this so not all the big trading halls are in one spot what if we come on this side maybe knock

Down this ugly little thing and then maybe build it right here i think it’s a good spot hmm i think maybe no you know what right here this is plenty of space we can knock down some of these trees that’ll be awesome but before we do that you know what

I need to go ahead and get rid of these guys we already have plenty on the other side so you know what really quick let me just knock these guys down and super speedy sausage come on down this is great you know what sometimes i just like pretty much speedy boys

Start killing a bunch of animals and then go crazy with it but you know sometimes i also like to go real slow but you know what fast is better because it fits quicker my efficiency a sword is that a thing no but you know what

What a weird it is spot right there look at all that beetle leather oh that is looking awesome we should make a butcher shop soon oh that could be something for a smoker trading haul oh so many good ideas so little time brownie’s time to go home bye peggy

A lot of people are saying probably the best way to get the xp that’s hidden over there is to actually get rid of all of these lecterns we technically don’t need them anymore because they’re already all locked into their trade so they not they’re not gonna need these

Lecterns anymore and what i can do is i can just go underneath and grab all the stuff that i need right and they can’t get out because of this trap door right and they’re just standing there looking all nice watch i’m sorry wake up for one moment okay

I’ll put you back to sleep in a second so i can just pretty much just trade with him go underneath grab what i need and then get out isn’t that cool we don’t need those lecterns anymore okay go to sleep now bye good night all right if i sleep in here

Thank you sleep good morning everybody wake up wake wake up thank you hi thank you thank you thank you thank you oh man you guys can’t get out now so if i get mending right here hello my mending friend give me one of these

Thank you oh um i got all your xp but technically i could have gone underneath here grabbed or whatever and i could push you around hi hug oh man nice to see you yep that’s gonna work out perfectly now just out of curiosity if i put my shield here

And i put a mending on it glorious oh look at that we got a mending shield i should repair this thing brownie come with me my friend i got an idea really fast hi bees imma make a house for you i promise now brownie wait for me right here

Uh i i want to see if this really mends i don’t believe it i don’t think we’ve ever put many on a shield all right let’s test this out why don’t we we’re never gonna need a shield again what a great day this is who told me this in the comment

Section identify yourself i like you we’re gonna be best friends now a fully repaired shield oh this is great let me repair the rest of my stuff and there it is everything is fully repaired we’re looking so good right now um only thing i just gotta clear this

Out uh i’ll do this another day goodbye man today’s gonna be a great day you know what i want to do though before we do any of that pumpkin and melon farming okay i’m in the farming mood i want to go ahead and see if i can

Expand these crop fields a little bit because for the beginning it was pretty good we got these little pods over here we got that one we got this one over here this uh tiny pumpkin patch right here pumpkin melon patch which we’re gonna need this stuff for that to build

What we’re building today but up here i did a little bit of clearing and i think we could build a little bit more uh croppage a little bit bigger than what we have over here so what i’m thinking about is knocking this bit down here getting

Rid of the ones we have already coming over here and emptying some stuff off because i have too much junk on me grabbing all this junk back how and then start expanding so i’m thinking about coming up here with a little bit of a step up right on this path like right here

So a little step up right we go down maybe like this right and then this takes us up to the top i might make this kind of open and then this side kind of open in a way that it’s not going to be just a circle crop right there like that

We can have this kind of uh around let’s see if we can lift these up so kind of coming around this direction let’s just do it with slabs for now so kind of like this like a little corner bit right and then we can put crops on this side

And then i want this path to actually take us out and around because i have some plants over here see this kind of broken little pond over here i want to do like a nice little water feature over here maybe a little water for something nice over here like a little

Park area so i want to save this spot so i don’t want to really block it all off but i think we can go ahead and start doing the crops kind of like in between it so then maybe something like that this kind of circles around

Kind of curves out the path can take us down this direction and up but then uh let’s see we can kind of block this off over here and do something nice maybe a little bit of a turn kind of going around like so right like that coming around this way

Coming around back here and then maybe turning up to the side maybe stopping like right over here having this little outline that we already have pretty much naturally in place just like that and i think it’ll be a good spot so let me do this really fast we’ve seen crop placements

A million times so i’m just going to set this up really quickly and see what it looks like this out it is looking so good so i have all of this ready to go we also have this little spot ready to go as well we could keep adding more like over here

But we can add that later i think for now this is looking pretty nice also i’m putting in some jack-o’-lanterns down here because i ran out of shroom lights also uh i don’t want to go to the nether right now but that’s fine get some nice light sources in here and

Then just cover these up with some trapdoors then let’s go over here and get some seeds and i think three stacks should be enough oh man three stacks was almost enough oh and it’s almost nighttime uh i think we’ll be all right uh run now this is looking pretty cool

And also i made it a little bit patchy in certain spots i left some of the pods though i left some regular dirt as of course dirt around here also i want to add some bush let me grab a little bit right here just a couple little bits

And then we could dress this up just a little bit adding some bushes in random spots there we go that looks nice oh i had 47 more of these i didn’t even notice i’m going to put more over here on this side i need a little bit more bush that’s good enough

Perfect that looks really really cool oh we did it all right now let’s get to work on the pumpkin and melon farm but before we do that i need to cook this thing ooh more meat ooh even more meat now for this pumpkin in melo farm i’m gonna need

Some observers i’m gonna need some pistons some hoppers mine carts rails it’s it’s gonna be a good amount we’re using the old uh design that it’s been working for the longest time it’s from mill mango i’m gonna put a link in the description so you guys can check it out but uh let

Me get all the stuff we need right now observers i think we’re gonna need like 40 or so i don’t even know let’s just make a bunch pistons about 42 or 40 also any more cobble all right we’re definitely gonna need an iron form soon hoppers i think two

I’m gonna need a bunch of rails uh probably a stack powered ones too maybe uh that is i don’t know oh no make a little more i think that’s good that’s fine you can make a minecart with a hopper too cute i think this is good enough but

If anything will come back i got three gold left that’s embarrassing that’s all the iron do okay we’re gonna go with iron only six diamonds though we’re gonna go with a diamond run soon brownie let’s go my friend time to go to work but before

We go to work i added more stuff here to the project board so we already saw the sawmill we’re gonna do that soon iron farm i added that the cat in it’s done thanks brownie for the little lift the blacksmith workshop is gonna be a villager professional thing that i’m

Gonna work on it’s gonna be amazing also pumpkin melon farm doing that today and a bunny sanctuary i’ve been hearing you in the comment section it’s coming we’re going to transform that uh temple the saint temple what’s it called what’s the sand temple called the desert temple whatever close enough we’re gonna do

That we’re gonna upgrade that and make that into a bunny sanctuary but i need four more things let me know in the comment section four things brian uh hold on brian i gotta i gotta go to sleep real fast good morning kitty how you doing oh man i’m

Doing great brownie don’t step on the cat so yeah give me four more project board editions uh we’re doing great and i know you guys got it in you give me some good stuff chicken were you the chicken from up there i think he is what a legend all right brownie go over

Here with pinkie hang out i’m gonna go to work have fun no no pinkie all right i think this is definitely the spot right over here i want to knock this thing down first before we get started so the more we’re alive the more episodes that are coming

Down i’m getting a little bit more confident i don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing it probably is a bad thing because you’re going to probably let my guard down and end up dying somehow some tragic way but you know what that’s making me think about things

Making me think about maybe just maybe having the courage to bring my girl bubbles into this world if you guys don’t know bubbles is my uh my donkey the greatest dog in the history of minecraft that’s right and i was a little bit hesitant to bring her in

Because i had a feeling that i was going to die very very early and i was going to leave bubbles here as a spectator for all eternity stuck in this world forever but you know what i have a feeling that we can live forever here and never ever die oh you

Know i probably it’s probably a lot i’m getting over confident now but i think maybe we can try to see if we can find her one day what do you guys think let me know in the comment section put hashtag bubbles if you guys want me to go ahead and go

Out into the wilderness see if i can find my girl uh and bring her over maybe she can hang out with us you know and we can keep her safe you know keep her into non-hostile environments you know safe at home uh and from time to time come here hang

Think i cleared enough space over here to get this done so this is what i’m thinking let me go ahead and figure out the outline of where the actual pumpkin in melon form is and then we’ll kind of decide from there how oh enderman oh oh what’s happening

What is he doing i didn’t see him i didn’t look at him no no oh no what’s wrong with him why is he teleporting like a crazy person enemies stop it okay oh what is wrong with that man don’t look at him in the face

I don’t know but he has problems oh god did he pick up the grass block i just dropped on the floor oh god there’s nothing wrong with him okay uh yeah so let me figure this out let me see where we exactly we’re going to put the pumpkin amino farm

Uh i’m thinking like right here and then we can do some attachments to it but let me figure this out you guys think of this layout so this is what i got in mind so in the center right here we’ll do the pumpkin and melon form right here in the center

Uh and then over here we’ll have the sections for the farmers so we have one two three and four over here we’ll have four over here on this side so eight total uh training hall i think it’s fine if you really wanted to we could put more here

On this side but i think i’m gonna save this corner here uh just for storage extra storage of all the materials we need for trading and then more over here as well i think we’ll be fine uh we’ll have a nice entrance on this side and i’m thinking about making this

Almost like a glass roof building like i normally would build a roof right but in the middle section put glass and it’s going to look awesome it’s going to look like a big old greenhouse but uh what i’m going to do now i’m going to follow the tutorial right here it’s

Going to be the old mango version uh and you guys can go ahead and see if you can build it on your own it’s not that crazy hard but you know what it’s i have to literally follow the tutorial i haven’t done this since like by season two part of my asian inspired

World but i’m gonna set it up right here and then we’ll build the outside part together this is what we got so far so i had to actually go out another level but underneath we’re not going to see this part it’s not going to really affect the farm at all

Because we’re just going to be using this little section over here but i need to go ahead and extend it so we can have the rail line just swing around like that which is really really cool and this works beautifully watch this boop go go go look at that beautiful thing

Um yeah i’m proud of myself no but stop stop stop stop stop turn off turn off it’s nighttime i gotta go to sleep oh my god imagine if i die from this get out stop it stop stop stop got him now for the fun part of placing pistons upside down let’s do it

Um so we gotta place him every empty space and this is where the crop is gonna get cemented oh we did it in one shot oh it’s actually not that bad i thought it was gonna be harder than this oh i’m glad i put that dirt on top though i

Knew i was gonna mess up and now time to place some observers and it’s gonna be easy because we just have to face him down right here um we don’t need to place any kind of block underneath which is awesome so we just place them down on top of the crops

And now the last little bit i have some redstone on top of all the observers and that should do the trick now one thing that i forgot to do is this um let’s actually go down here yeah we’re crawling baby look at this oh this looks awesome hopefully i don’t die now

Uh but all i need to do is do some bone milling oh god i’ll get a head it hurt oh god um oh this is gonna hurt every time it updates oh this is gonna be a death trap imagine if i die from this um

I have to go in here and update these things oh no um let me just do it for far away why can’t i bone me on this one oh [Laughter] okay i can do the edges i can do the edges do these this is funny okay i want to get it crushed

Oh you know it’s fine you know it’s part of the it’s job hazard but it’s fine i’m not actually hurting at all um let me guess it’s so cool it takes a little bit it’s like a little massage it’s a massage parlor oh my god this is awesome

So every update is gonna do something like that okay that’s fine it’s okay uh so we got that a little bit more here okay i should get out of here i can do the edge oh my god um this is amazing okay there it is

We’re all good to go i think this one needs to grow up a little more there it is all right nice okay i think they’re all perfect now so i’ll leave that running uh and see what we could do while we build this thing check this out it’s

Looking so good right now so i started lifting up all the logs i added this extra bit here because i want to make a nice little arch to come into this section uh and well we have the dip down we saw that earlier and then also i encased this thing in stone

And it’s working look at that oh wait let’s see if it works there it is hi did you see that wow i can’t wait to trade with you but this is working really nice this is what we got so far just in this little bit that we’ve been working

And it’s looking really nice look at that oh so cool it’s working uh but now this is the next thing i need to figure out i got all these walls up so i decided to do uh this nice trick that i love to do i

Need to come back here and give a little bit more texture variation with the stairs but we got full block stair upside down the little uh fortification bits on the outside to look really really nice so this is going all the way around like this

And it’s gonna look just like so now up here i’m thinking maybe we could just cross beam at this level right here going all the way down and then over here as well and down this line and then also back here that’s gonna look pretty cool

Oh i gotta put these stairs here too and there it is so we got this look to it which is looking really really awesome and then next i think i’m gonna change this floor right here to maybe just spruce so happy have a skeleton farm i can use

These bone blocks in here check that out so we got this nice tudor style i’m not sold yet on the middle bean because that might be a little bit too much oak but at least the style is in place and then we can get a couple upside downs going down like that

And just repeat it all the way around the thing that i have to do though on the inside let me show you on the inside part i had to actually recess in the walls it makes it a little bit tighter but it actually makes you look a lot better

Too right look at that so i’m not sold yet though on this beam what if maybe oh hi uh we strip him that is cool and it kind of matches what we did over there kind of right i am in love with this build so far what

Do you guys think so i did replace the middle one here so we get a better contrasty color and this is some stripped dark oak and it’s looking awesome we got the store in place i do want to put some overhang some more detail bits to this part

Uh and this this is working so good and then on the inside part we got this awesome tudor style so it does give you a little bit of a better contrast i think uh then we got the four pods over here and it’s looking pretty good the

Villagers are gonna go right under here and i don’t believe they can get out of here um i think they’re fine i think they’re gonna be trapped in here and then i also added some jack-o-lanterns for lights on the top and it’s looking good now to work on this crazy roof idea

That i got so i have some uh furnaces i’m gonna place these down over here i got some sand let’s go ahead and knock these down in here boop there we go there we go take half of that and boom okay so we got some glass

Cooking up over here for this roof idea i got i got some other materials that we can get started right now i’m thinking maybe just spruce as the outer edge inside part glass and then we can separate it into different tiers but first off i need to figure out

How the roof’s gonna go so let’s outline this thing yep i think this is it we got a simple step pattern for the front here for the back this is going to connect to the middle section and this is going to be just a little bit bigger is a full

Block stair four blocks here all the way to the tippy top which looks good i think i might flip these sideways because i’m going to be putting glass underneath there and i don’t want you to see the little edge points i guess i don’t know but

Oh no it’s going to be a big roof um we just need to figure out how to connect all of this together and if glass makes sense if not i’ll just bring some dark coke or something okay i think i pulled it off i think so we got some dark oak stripped here

Around the sides every three we put glass and then another log another three another log going up like this in this pattern then i just getting rid of these little bits we don’t need going down this line parkour that’s right uh can i grab you yes perfect gimme um and then this is

Looking nice oh i gotta go get that uh what do you guys think is this cool i think this is it and then we can do cross beams going down right here hanging lights just to make it look a little bit cooler uh and then i gotta figure out what to do

Here oh i felt that’s fine uh for the little transition uh spot over here but this is it we are almost done with this roof now check this out for the middle part i’m gonna put just a big open uh glass area like this because um for one it’s hard to transition from

Glass to glass um so this i think would be a good compromise i actually did right here for the little roof we added the small uh bits of dark coat just like we did here on the trim on this end and then slabs on top of these just like

We did here but you know is this that this will stage whatever but then the transition right here from glass to glass looks so good and i think it looks awesome what makes it even better is that we have optifine so uh you know java has this amazing

Feature that connects all the glass together i don’t know how this would look like without the connected glass it might look completely horrible but i i’m fine not even looking at it that’s fine but there it is i think this is it i don’t know if i

Want to put a trim on the top maybe with trapdoors i think i might not leave it open like this with the glass but there it is i think we got it i think we nailed it i think this is looking awesome let’s go downstairs yup that is so cool

That is so cool i just got to figure out what to do here i might just do the same tutorial style we have here on that side hi welcome hi uh i think i might just do this style right here on the top just to keep it consistent but

I think we nailed it oh it’s so good and we gotta get the villagers in here you ready to have friends did i ever mention that working with villagers is the absolute worst so we got these two in here so far i still need to

Get a bunch more in here but so far it’s working it’s doing its thing it’s just taking forever but you know what it’s fine at least you know we got that awesome system by logical geekboard thank you so much logic that thing’s been working like a charm

Uh now to do it to the rest now we’re almost done just putting some last minute finishing touches over here on these little gardens in the front which is totally unnecessary but you know what i like the way they look you know it looks pretty nice i’m

Just gonna add a little bit of coarse dirt a little bit of podzol like this come back in here add some bushes we got our beautiful fall colored leaf right there with the other birch very beautiful uh and then a little bit of the oak as well kind of scattered around

Something like that i got some of these beautiful rose bushes right there we can even put some berries in certain spots around like so um hopefully the villagers don’t jump in here well i think we’ll be all right uh and then maybe some pumpkins a little

Bit of a pumpkin patch down here at the bottom uh and then maybe i got some flowers as well just a couple of that maybe a fern and oh i forgot me i’ll go get some more bone meal uh something like that looks pretty maybe something like this a little bit more and

Something simple like that that is looking so good i still gotta clean all this up but as far as everything else though on the inside we’re good to go check this out let’s go on in oh and we got a porch it’s pretty uh but right here as we come

On in everything is all set we got some hanging lights over here we got these hanging beams here on the side this one has like a little chandelier on it this one has like a little plant on it which is cool up here added a little bit of bush as

Well over here we have our storage to put all of our extra bits we got all of the farmers on this side and then all of the farmers over here on this side and they’re looking so nice uh this side is mirrored to the other and

Then you can’t even see it but i added up there on the top a little bit of a wheat field which is so so nice you can probably see it from far away uh or from out there somewhere but yeah there it is it’s growing up it’s looking pretty cool

We got some wheat just randomly growing on top and as far as the farm itself check this out oh baby we are good to go look at all that oh we can do so many trades i’m gonna probably stay here overnight and see if i can gather a bunch of these

Things so we can do a bunch more trading uh and you know what you can do a little bit right now too so i got some wheat i got some carrots i got potatoes let’s see what these guys it’s okay 26 let’s see if we can get a bunch from him maybe

If we upgrade him i don’t think we get any pumpkins and melons right off the bat we need to actually level them up right i think i believe so so let’s get this guy all the way to the top let his fart bubbles go let’s do it with this one as well and

That’s it oh come on is there any wheat friends are you guys are you all potatoes oh you’re a carrot oh man i need carrots oh let’s see oh no okay he doesn’t have the trade yet uh let’s keep looking this way i think we have some weak friends on

This side yeah they’re my wheat friend so bomb bomb there we go okay let’s level you up oh what you just changed right in front of my eyes oh no not carrots i gotta get rid of the carrot one okay let’s do nothing but uh wheat and potatoes okay you level up

And then you level up okay i’ll change the other one right over here yeah you get out of here be something else no not carrot not a carrot again oh no something else that’ll do oh we don’t got melons here yet oh here we go we got a pumpkin boy oh

Yes give me a second i got more pumpkins for you i got a bunch of pumpkins for you my friend go go go give me all your stuff oh this is gonna be great level up no oh no you’re not ready oh yes they’re the ballots that’s my best friend right there

They even sell golden carrots we are set with food from now on i think we are good to go but what do you guys think of this awesome farmer villager trading hall this is so so awesome to make i’m so excited man another awesome build here in this world
