Hey there everyone it’s mouseplays and welcome back to another minecraft tutorial in this tutorial i’m going to be showing you all the things you need to know about brewing potions in minecraft let’s get into it before i start the video it would really appreciate it if you please go ahead and Click that subscribe button because it really helps me to get myself out there as a youtuber thank you so much and enjoy the video so if we first go ahead and look at this chest you will see everything that you need for brewing potions you will need glass bottles which i’ll Fill up with water you’ll need netherwart for most potions and then these are the add-ons you can make to the potions dragon’s breath makes lingering potions gunpowder makes splash potions and then redstone and glowstone each give additives to the potions to make them better redstone adds more time to the potions While glowstone gives it another level so to brew potion what you’re first going to do is grab three glass bottles go up to a water source of any kind it doesn’t need to be infinite and right click three times once you have your three glass bottles you can go Ahead and put them in your brewing stand then you’re going to grab your nether wart and i actually did forget but you are going to need some blaze rods and then you’re going to turn them into blaze powder and then you’re going to put that blaze powder in your brewing stand and now It’ll start brewing the first step You hear that sound when it’s done and now you can see we have awkward potions and this is the basically the baseline for what you’re going to need to make your potions so i’m just going to go ahead and quickly grab the sugar from over here and if we put this In the brewing stand it’ll now make potions of swiftness And now they’re done and as you can see we have potions of swiftness now i can add either glowstone or redstone you cannot add both to a potion you can only add one so say i wanted longer swiftness i would go ahead and add redstone so i’m going to add redstone and you’ll See that this is going to add an additive so as it ended there you could see that the speed changed from three minutes to eight minutes now we have speed potions with twenty percent plus speed for eight minutes but now we’re gonna grab both dragon’s breath And gunpowder you can add this to any potion first if you use gunpowder you will make it a splash potion so splash potion goes ahead and do as it makes it so that you can throw it on the ground and then i’m just going to add dragon’s Breath to show you the lingering potion so i can show you three different types of potions And just like that we have this lingering potion now the lingering potion does reduce the time so keep that in mind but now i’m going to quickly show you how each of the potions work so i went ahead and set my game mode of survival and if i throw down the lingering potion It will actually stay on the ground and make a bunch of bubbles and when you go through the potion when you go through the lingering potion it gives you the effect but it doesn’t last long once you leave so i have it for two minutes and now it’s just stuck there so we’ll Have it for two minutes and it gives you everyone in the vicinity then the splash potion that’ll it’s not like a lingering potion it’ll do is it’ll just throw down on the ground and whoever’s standing there in that area they’ll give it to them as well and then finally the regular potion You can just drink it and then you have it for eight minutes So now what we’re going to do is we’re going to go through each of the recipes in the brewing stand and then that’ll be it all right so i just went ahead and removed my effects but now we’re going to go through each of the chests so looking at swiftness here To make a swiftness potion we went through this right now you’re going to need an awkward potion which is made with nether wart you’re going to need sugar and that’ll make a potion of swiftness for three minutes with twenty percent speed then you can add a redstone And it’ll still keep it at twenty percent but it will make it eight minutes long or you can use glowstone and that’ll change it to 40 but it’ll only be a minute and a half next is the rabbit’s foot which is leaping to make a leaping potion you’ll need an awkward potion And a rabbit’s foot and that will go ahead and make a potion of leaping or jump boost they’re basically interchangeable for three minutes now on top of that you can add a potion you can add redstone to it to make it eight minutes long but it’s still half jump Or you can add glowstone and that’ll make it a full more block above it next is the strength potion you will need an awkward potion and blaze powder and that’ll make a strength potion for three minutes which gives you three plus attack damage you can add redstone to it To make it the same but eight minutes long or you can add glowstone dust and that’ll double the strength but reduce the time to a minute and a half next is healing for healing you’re going to need an awkward potion and a glistening melon slice and that’ll make you a potion of healing Now the only thing you can use on this is glowstone dust and that is because if the potion of instant healing there’s no time with that so redstone wouldn’t do anything so you can just add glowstone and that’ll give you double the heal next is poison for poison you’re gonna need an awkward Potion and a spider eye that’ll go ahead and make poison for 45 seconds but it’ll do damage every 1.2 seconds instead of every 2.5 seconds next you can use redstone and with redstone you can make it one minute and 30 seconds instead of 45 seconds but it’ll still staying the same Next is regeneration with regeneration you’re going to need an awkward potion and a gas tier that’ll give you regeneration for 45 seconds you can use redstone to make regeneration last 1 minute and 30 seconds or you can use glowstone and that’ll make the regeneration happen double the Time but it will reduce the time to 22 seconds next is fire resistance for fire resistance you’re going to need that same awkward potion and a magma cream to make fire resistance potion and that is for three minutes but if you add redstone which is the only thing you Can add to fire resistance that is eight minutes next is water breathing for water breathing you’re going to need an awkward potion and a puffer fish and they’ll make you water breathing for three minutes or you can add redstone and that’ll make it for eight minutes Next we’re gonna move on over to the other side and we have night vision for night vision you’re gonna need that awkward potion plus the golden carrot and then for the potion of night vision that’ll give you three minutes of night vision and then you can add on a redstone dust Only redstone dust and that’ll make it eight minutes next is the potion of turtle master to make the post with the turtlemaster you’re going to need an awkward potion and turtle scute that’ll make go ahead and make you the potion of the turtlemaster which basically makes you a turtle it’ll slow You down but it’ll also give you resistance 3 for 20 seconds you can add on redstone to make both of these effects double or you can add on glowstone it’ll increase the slowness by 2 and it’ll increase the resistance by 1. next is the potion of soul falling For the potion of slow flying you’re going to need that awkward potion plus a phantom membrane and that’ll make you a potion of slow falling for a minute and 30 seconds then you can add redstone to make the potion of slow falling last for four minutes Now we’re moving on to a little bit of a special section so each of these are still potions but they have stars on them weakness has one star and the other three have two stars so if we look up at our handy dandy note taken Here we can see that one star means that it does not use netherwort so you can just use a water bottle you don’t need an awkward potion and two stars u means it uses another potion plus a spider eye to make the potion so not an awkward potion another brood Potion so if we come over here and we look at weakness weakness you’re just going to need that water bottle there’s no need for any netherwart or awkward potion plus a fermented spider eye that’ll go ahead and equal a potion of weakness and then you can add redstone To that to make the potion of weakness last for four minutes next is the potion of invisibility for this you’re going to need that potion of night vision we talked about earlier which uses a golden carrot plus a fermented spider eye and that will equal the potion of invisibility And the invisibility will last for three minutes or you can add redstone and make it last for eight minutes next is slowness for sloanes you can actually use two potions that we brewed earlier you can use swiftness or leaping to make the potion of slowness frost fermented spider eye plus Either one of these potions will equal potion of slowness that is minus 15 speed for a minute 30. you know you can add redstone to make that last for four minutes but stay the same slowness or you can add glowstone dust to make it a potion of slowness four which minus Sixty percent speed but it only lasts for 20 seconds finally on our potion list today is harming for a potion of harming you can use either your potion of healing or a potion of poison plus the fermented spider eye will go ahead and equal the potion of harming And then you can add glowstone to that to make it a potion of harming two which takes half the damage away and that’s pretty much it those are all the recipes for the potions and how to make them i just like to mention that you can use the splash Potions or the lingering potions on any potion we discussed here today thank you so much for watching if you enjoyed this video please go ahead and hit that subscribe button turn on notifications so you never miss
