The ice and fire mod is an exploration mod for Minecraft which adds many mythical creatures armors weapons and structures into your game I believe it takes some inspiration from The Game of Thrones Universe a lot of the gameplay of this mod is focused around dragons which can be battled for large amounts Of treasure and for rewards they can also be owned as pets if you’re brave enough in this video I will be going in depth into every aspect this mod has to offer including where to find the creatures how to craft the strongest armors and how to tame some Fantastic Pets this mod has recently been made available on version 1.18 and will hopefully be ported to 1.19 and 1.20 in the near future with more content currently in development so let’s begin to start with you can craft yourself a beast Diary book which has information on all the magical creatures You may encounter on your journey it can be crafted using three manuscripts which can be found in chests within Dragon roosts caves or graveyards you can also craft the Beary lecturn using two planks and a manuscript and this will enable you to unlock more pages of the Beary by Opening the Lecter and combining the Beary with the manuscript Pages the chapters of the be area that you are allowed to unlock are randomized a little bit similarly to an enchantment table so you will need to choose which chapter you’d prefer to learn about while unlocking the pages so moving on To the ores that generate silver is a new or introduced in this mod which contains magical properties it generates at the same levels as gold and it can be used to create tools and armor and it does extra damage against Undead mobs copper is one of the newer oras in this Mod it can also be made into armor tools and blocks it’s about as good as chain mail and it’s minable with wooden tools it is renewable since it drops from salian birds as we know copper was added into vanilla Minecraft recently and so both the modded and vanilla coppers can Both be used interchangeably in crafting recipes sapphires are found in ice dragon caves in the form of ore all around the cave or also in chests they are also found in the chests of ice dragon roosts they are used to craft ice dragon summoning crystals amethysts are Found in Lightning Dragon caves in the form of ore all around the cave or in chests but also in the chests of Lightning Dragon roosts amethysts are used to craft Lightning Dragon summoning crystals because amethyst was also added into vanilla after this mod was created the modded and vanilla amethysts can be Used interchangeably in crafting recipes I wanted to take a little moment to talk about snow villages and snow villagers these mobs and their structures were recently removed from the mod because of the addition of vanilla Tundra Villages that were added to the game these villagers were blue and they traded in Sapphires as opposed to the usual emeralds that villagers would trade okay so moving on to our first mob and structure of the mod we have Pixies in their pixie Villages Pixies spawn near pixie Villages and these are small villages with tiny mush mushroom and log HS that can be found in dark forest Biomes they glow in the dark and emit a colorful dust particle effect besides their skin which is already lightly colored they come in five different colors pink purple blue green and yellow Pixies will drop zero to2 pixie dusts upon death they also have a 2.5% chance To drop a pixie wing with the pixie wings drop you can combine it with a diamond and a blaze rod and it will grant you a pixie wand and with this you can shoot a magic charge that deals five damage and makes the target levitate and it uses pixie dust as its ammunition Pixies are relatively peaceful and will not attack players in any way even when they attack themselves however if a nearby player does not have their Crosshair on them they tend to fly up to them steal a random stackable item from their inventory and quickly fly away from them the stolen item can be Retrieved by dealing damage to the pixie interacting with a pixie with a jar in your hand will capture her dropping a jar with the pixie inside players can then place this jar and as soon as the pixie sits down it will collect pixie dust from her if the jar is broken the Pixie will be released Pixies can be befriended with a cake in order to befriend a pixie all one has to do is drop a cake near her and she will eat the treat and become your friend befriended Pixies will follow the player around constantly and will fly around Them when they’re not moving in addition to this they can be told to sit by interacting with them feeding a pixie sugar will heal them and befriended Pixies provide certain positive status effects to the player depending on their color pink Pixies will apply strength purple will apply jump boost blue will Apply speed green will apply luck and yellow will apply haste the next passive mob is the hippocampus hippocampi are creatures with the body of a horse and the scales fins and tail of a fish they come in six different colors hippocampi can be found swimming around in the Ocean and deep ocean biomes upon death hippocampi will drop one to four shiny scales and there’s also a 2.5% chance that they will drop one hippocampus fin if you get the hippocampus fin drop you can combine it with a stick to craft yourself a hippocampus slapper and this Weapon will Daz and slow its targets hippoc campai Can Be Tamed with kelp or with sponges in order to tame a hippocampus all one has to do is to use their kelp or sponge to attract it and then feed it as many help as it takes before it finally becomes tamed T typo Campai can be saddled they can carry chest and be equipped with armor along with this a hippocampus with a saddle can be made to either wander or sit by interacting with them while holding a stick when ridden by a player a hippocampus can swim faster than both boats and sea serpents riding a Hippocampus allows a player to breathe under water two hippocampi can be bred in the same manner as other vanilla animals in this case right clicking each hippocampus with a prismarine crystal which will cause them to breed it takes one day for a baby hippocampus to reach adulthood hippogriffs are creatures with The body tail and back legs of a horse the head and wings of an eagle and an eagle’s Talons as its front feet they come in 10 different colors most of which are based on the color patterns of different real life Birds hippogryphs often spawn in mountains and in sand Biomes and they will drop Z to five feathers upon death 0 to five pieces of leather upon death one hippogriff egg after being bred with another hippogriff and they also have a 2.5% chance to drop a hippogriff Talon and a 2.5% chance to drop a hippogriff skull if you obtain The hippogriff Talon as a drop you can combine it with an iron ingot two feathers and a stick and it will give you the hippogriff Talent sword and this always slashes its Target and it will deal extra damage and every use of it has a sweeping attack hippogryphs are Generally neutral and will usually not attack players unless provoked however true to their predatory nature they will Target and attack players once they are hungry as well as this they will attack farm animals and other passive mobs when attacking hippogriffs will usually take a bite out of their prey which will deal Five damage with each bite however they are also known to rear up to deliver a deadly kick with their powerful Talons inflicting heavy knockback upon their Quarry hippogriffs Can Be Tamed with rapid feet to tame a hippogriff all one has to do is drop eight rabbit feet near It and it will eat the treats and begin to tame by itself however if a hippogriff is flying in the air it is recommended to practice patience and keep track of the hippogriff until it lands once it’s tamed it will sit down domesticated hippogriffs can be saddled They can carry chests and they can be equipped with armor along with this they can be made to wander or sit by interacting with them while holding a stick two hippogryphs can be bred by feeding them rabbit’s Jew and breeding the two hippogriffs will produce an egg Throwing the egg will hatch it into a baby hippogriff it takes one day for a baby hippogriff to reach adulthood I’m fers are large colorful reptiles that possess the general look of a snake with a serpentine physique a noticeable lack of walking legs a moderately long neck a Large head with big toothy jaws and a long tapering tail however they also possess many traits derived from tropical birds they boast massive feathery Wings a crown of feathers adorns the back of their head their snout ends in a large hooked beak and their tail ends in a large feathery Tail Fan they come in five different colors and they can be found gliding through jungle biomes upon death they will drop 1 to s amphithe feathers and there’s a 2.5% chance they will drop an amphithe skull if you combine two amphithe feathers with two planks four obsidian And one stick you can get an amphithe maug sorry I really can’t say the name of that properly but um basically this weapon knocks entities up and back and it disables their Shields you can also craft ampeer arrows which do apply more knockback uh similarly to an amphithe Wings if you combine an amphithe feather in place of a regular feather in the regular Arrow recipe they are neutral and will not attack players unless provoked and they’re relatively skiddish so they will always try to stay away from players no matter how hard they try to reach them when attacking they will Take a bite out of their foes dealing 3.5 hearts of damage however they will also rapidly flap their wings in order to create a powerful gust of wind that sends the foe flying on land they are fast but once they’re in the air they are even faster they will actually Protect any villagers they come across and they will fight off any mob that tries to kill them unlike other mobs taming an amp is a daunting task first one must catch up with the amp’s quick slithering speed and mount it by interacting with it with an empty hand If it is found flying one must knock it out of the sky with a projectile before initiating the chase once the amphitheater is mounted it will repeatedly turn its head over its side to bite its Rider in order to tame it one must survive its bite attacks long Enough or you could also use a shield to nullify any damage while you’re on its back and once you’ve survived the cluster of attacks from its beak it will then start to Sur ve its Superior which is you the writer amphithe can be bred using cookies and breeding to will Produce a baby amphithe the first hostile mob we’ll be looking at is the siren Sirens are dangerous Coastal seductresses that sit on Seaside Rocky islands and sing enchanting songs that could potentially spell Doom for Sailors initially Sirens resemble gorgeous humanoid creatures with the tail of a Fish and the head of a beautiful girl in this form they are known as mermaids however when attacking they drop their beautiful form becoming a terrible monstrosity in this form they are known as nagas Sirens can be located on top of siren Islands small rocky Islands which spawn randomly in ocean biomes upon Death Sirens can drop one to five shiny scales 0 to three prismarine shards one to five prismarine crystals and they have a 2.5% chance to drop a siren tier with seven shiny scales one siren tier and a dragon bone flute the siren flute can be crafted and this weapon will make Targets fall in love for 10 seconds these targets will not attack you while they’re in love if a player gets within sight radius of a siren while it is singing their screen will turn pink they will be enveloped by hallucinations of mermaids and hearts and they will start uncontrollably gravitating towards the Siren upon successfully luring a player to position three blocks away from it a siren will enter its Naga form and it will then proceed to jump off of its Rocky island and start swimming after the player before attacking wearing ear plugs can nullify the attracting qualities of the siren songs allowing a Player to pass by without having to worry about being led to their demise ghosts are wrathful spirits that haunt their burial places at night and relentlessly harass Interlopers ghosts can be found in graveyards these are small gated burial areas which spawn randomly in all biomes they will rise Out of the graveyard soil during the night and they will spawn when a curs chest hidden in a small catacomb is opened additionally they can spawn when a player is killed by another player upon death ghosts will drop zero to one pieces of ectoplasm and they have a 2.5% Chance to spawn one fantasmal Ingot only ghosts that Spawn from graveyard soil drop these items upon death ghosts are able to fly through walls when moving about and chasing foes as well as this they are immune to most forms of damage and only silver weapons and the Fantasmal blade can deal damage to them the fantasmal blade can be crafted using fantasmal ingots when exposed to broad daylight ghosts will enter dormant State and upon doing so they will stop glowing and slowly Fade Into invisibility they will become immune to all forms of damage even from Silver weapons and the Fantasma blade however during the night they’ll become active again muszle Liams are dark complexes made of impenetrable dread stone that generate in cold biomes their dreadwood doors can only be unlocked with a grave Master’s key this can be obtained by killing a dread L The Dread L spawns randomly in snowy tundra Biomes at night time all dread mobs will drop 0 to2 dread shards upon their death The Dread Lich will also drop 0 to2 bones and has a 10% chance of dropping the grave Master’s key with a small chance to drop the staff that shoots icy orbs rad lies can summon minions either By casting a summoning spell or by killing specific mobs and converting them into their army braws are weak slow moving skeletons that serve as the lich’s most basic combat unit and Spawn from skeletons killed by the liches ghouls are fast moving zombies that Spawn from most humanoid creatures Killed by the the liches beasts are wolf-like monsters that Spawn from most animals killed by the liches scuttlers are spider-like monsters that Spawn from the arthropods killed by the liches Red Knights are heavily armored on dead Knights that serve as the L’s bodyguards which can also spawn on horses the melum Itself is packed with spawners of all kinds and crawling full of the undead Army there are chests spaced around which can often contain manuscript pages and sapphires if you can battle to the center of the structure there is a foundation for an ice dragon forge this Is extremely useful if you have a pet ice dragon and we’ll take a look at that more closely when we look at dragons cockatrices are nightmarish chicken-like beasts that scullock in savanas and sap the life out of anything that looks at them with an intense stare baby cockatrices can be hatched by Throwing a rotten egg upon death cockatrices will drop 0o to Three Feathers 1 to three pieces of raw chicken 1 to three pieces of cooked chicken 0 to2 wither bones and there’s a 2.5% chance they will drop one Tre eye and one cockatrice skull the cockatrice eye drop can be combined with A witherbone and A witherbone Shard to create the cockatrice scepter this weapon will wither its targets if a cockatrice is looking directly at a player and the player has their Crosser on it it will fire a beam from its eyes that inflicts slowness nausea two and Wither three for as long as they are looking at it wearing a blindfold will render a player immune to the cockatrice is there however in response to this the cockatrice will directly attack the player instead in order to tame a cockatrice one must survive looking it In the eyes for long enough before it breaks and starts to serve its Superior a viable strategy would be to stare at it for a few seconds turn away to heal and repeat feeding a tamed cockatrice seeds will heal it as can dropping rotten flesh on the ground for it to eat Baby cockatrices hatched from a rotten egg are automatically tamed and take 20 minutes to reach adulthood stim philan birds are bloodthirsty carnivorous birds that fly above swampy environments and fire metallic feathers at their prey they have the general appearance of a bird of prey with massive feathery Wings Powerful legs and Talon tip toes on each foot upon death stallan birds will drop two to six stelian bird feathers 0 to four iron ingots 0 to four iron nuggets 0 to four copper ingots 0 to four copper nuggets and there’s a 2.5% chance for them to drop one stelian Bird’s skull Crafting eight feathers around a string will create a feather bundle and this weapon will launch feathers in all directions around its user Similan Birds spawn in groups of 3 to 20 and are naturally hostile towards players villagers and animals they can spot targets from 64 blocks away once a Player kills one stimilon bird the rest will flee away from the usurper often times taking flight to achieve it death worms are desert dwelling worms that burrow through the Sands and eat anything they come across they are giant segmented worms with a serpentine physique upon death death worms will Drop 0 to2 pieces of deathworm chitten 0 to2 pieces of rotten flesh zero to one deathworm egg and they have a 2.5% chance to drop one deathworm tongue deathworm chitt can be used to craft deathworm chitten armor and The deathworm Gauntlet to craft a gauntlet you need five deathworm chiens an iron Chain a deathworm tongue and it lashes its Target with its tongue for three damage and pulls the target towards the player when attacking deathworms will usually lunch out of the sand and extend their beak tongue to snap at its prey if a block of TNT is dropped near a death Worm it will eat the TNT and then explode and die a few seconds later if the player has two fishing rods in their hands one in the off hand one in the main hand they will be capable of mounting a death worm mics are cerous arthropods that dwell in underground Hives and maintain an elaborate CED system they resemble giant insects with hard chitus armor three pairs of walking legs a moderate sized thorax a moderate sized head with large yellow eyes large mandibles and a large bulous abdomen and in in a sharp Stinger myex can be located in myx hives vast Labyrinth Underground nests that are made of resin and bioluminesence and they can be found in desert and jungle biomes they come in five different variants workers are the laborers of the hive and will often leave The Hive to forge for food Harvest leaves for saplings and more right Before bringing it back to the hive soldiers serve as the workers’s bodyguards they follow them around and protect them from any nearby threats Sentinels serve as the hive’s covert operation units and are are the deadliest of all of the mmix cases they will stay near the entrance of the hive Assuming an ambush posture and camouflaging with the block that makes up their environment once a prey or Intruder gets near it will spring into action and relentlessly attack its Target Royals are the hive’s means of reproduction upon leaving the hive they will take to the skies and start flying Around in search of a mate they will not go after any nearby players unless aggravated once two Royals find each other they will start emitting heart particles and will proceed to quickly fly into each other and fall to the ground and start mating once this process is over one of the Royals Immediately dies while the other becomes a queen and digs into the ground spawning a new Colony Queen is the matriarch of the hive as well as its sole reproductive member she will usually walk around in the single giant room she inhabits constantly laying eggs that hatch into larvae usually there Will only be one Queen in a hive and without her reproduction will stop and the other members of The Hive will stop working as efficiently as they usually do leaving them vulnerable and thus plus if you kill the Queen the entire Colony will crumble upon death Marx drop MX Chitten Marx resin chunks and mmex Stingers all Marx will attack Intruders by biting them and poisoning them with their Stingers reputation is a very important thing when dealing with Marx since mymx are hostile at first the only action a player can take to raise the reputation within a mymx hive is to Throw a resin chunk near a worker if the worker does not already have an item in its mandibles they will collect the resin and bring it back to the hive raising the player’s reputation by five attacking and or killing a MX will damage your reputation with the hive if A player manages to reach a reputation of 25 all mymx case in the hive will turn neutral towards them if a player reaches reputation 50 all myx in the hive will become willing to trade with them trading with a myix works much like trading with a villager as you must give Them a certain item to get another in return however unlike villagers would use emeralds as currency Marx will use resin as their currency if a MX Queen is hatched from an egg she will bond with the player closest to her and that player will have a permanent reputation Of 100 within the hive that she later creates trolls are a large humanoid monsters with a face that has prominent prognathism small eyes that glow in the dark tusks protruding from their lower jaw and a large protruding nose they come in three different variants forest mountain and Frost they will spawn deep Underground in forest mountain and snowy tundra biomes loot from a troll depends on what kind of troll it is and what weapon it is holding all trolls will drop troll tusks and troll leather they also have a 2.5% chance of dropping a troll skull along with this they have a Chance to drop the weapon they’re holding and finally all trolls will drop some Stone of any kind once a troll sees its Target it will let out a loud roar and come rushing at the player If a troll encounters an unavoidable obstacle while chasing down a Target it will Smash the obstacle to bits with its Club as well as this the Troll’s thick hide means that arrows are useless against it however if a troll is exposed to direct sunlight it will turn to Stone due to this trolls will never leave caves or any shady areas during the day gorgens Are mini bosses that lurk in coastal underground layers and kill anything that looks at them with a petrifying gaze gorgens can be located deep down in Gorgon temples these are gigantic Greek style crumbling stone temples which spawn randomly in Beach biomes gorgens will drop one Gorgon head upon their Death Gorgon head can be aimed at a Target to turn them into stone if a gorgon is looking directly at a player and the player has their Crosshair on her her eyes start glowing a bright yellow her mouth opens to reveal large fangs the snakes on her head come to Life and she turns that player into stone petrified players can be broken with a pickaxe and they will yield four to five pieces of cobblestone once broken a surprising thing to note about the Gorgon is that she can also turn other mobs into stone as long as she and Her Target are looking directly at each other wearing a blindfold will render a player immune to the Gorgon G’s gaze however in response to this the Gorgon will become more aggressive and start directly attacking the player cyclopses are mini bosses that tend to flock of sheep inside large Stony Coes upon death Cyclopses will drop 0 to 10 pieces of raw mutton 1 to 10 pieces of leather 0 to five pieces of wool and they have a 50% chance to drop one eye of Cyclops and a 2.5% chance to drop one Cyclops skull the eye of Cyclops can be held to Affect all nearby host enemies with weakness cyclopses are hostile and will attack almost every mob that comes nearby including players and Dragons once a cyclops sees its Target it will let out a loud rumbling Roar and come rushing at the player despite their ferocity cyclopses do not attack passive Animals and often tend to let them be in fact they are expert sheep herders and any nearby sheep will follow them as they walk as well as this any mob or player that attacks a cyclops flock of sheep ends up angering the Cyclops players May wear a full set of sheep Disguise armor and sneak to avoid being detected trampled and bidden to death by the Cyclops players May reduce cyclops’s detection range by blinding their eyes this can be done only by hitting their ice hit box with projectiles such as eggs snowballs ender pearls arrows and dragon’s breath projectiles if done Correctly cyclopses will scream in pain and their eyes will become permanently injured leaving them incapable to Target players that are more than four blocks away from them sea serpents are for ferocious reptilian Marine predators that terrorize the vast oceans and attack any smaller creatures they see they come in Seven different colors there’s blue deep blue teal green purple bronze and red sea serpents commonly spawn on World Generation in Ocean and deep ocean biomes upon death sea serpents will drop 1 to 30 sea serpent scales 1 to three serpent fangs and they have a 2.5% Chance to drop one sea serpent skull the drops can be used to craft tide Guardian armor as well as the tide trident which can be thrown to pierce multiple enemies and Tide arrows which have no projectile fall off underwater the serpents are hostile and will attack everything that comes nearby including players and Dragons when attacking sea serpents will usually take a bite out of their prey if their Quarry is further away they will fire a jet of boiling water from their Ms rapidly damaging their target over time finally if their target is riding a boat swimming near the surface or Standing near the shore they will let out a loud booming Roar before leaping out of the water hydras are mini bosses known for their deadly venom and the ability to regenerate their severed heads they initially spawn with three heads but can have anywhere from two to as many as Nine heads they come in three colors green teal and red they can be found in Hydra layers which are small mounts of dirt without a roof and contain a few chests these layers will spawn randomly in swamp biomes upon defeating a Hydra it drops various items including 0 to Five Hydra fangs 0 to four pieces of rotten flesh and there’s a 10% chance for to drop one Hydra heart and 2.5% chance to drop one Hydra skull Hydra heart is a rare drop from the Hydra and a legendary weapon when it’s in your hot bar it gives increasing regeneration Based on how injured the holder is the lower your health is the greater your regeneration will be hydras are hostile and will attack anything nearby including players and Dragons they use venomous attacks by spewing Venom from their mouths dealing damage and inflicting poison when damaged a Hydra Can lose a head but it regenerates two more heads after 6 seconds it can have up to maximum of nine heads and extra heads will boost its attack speed fire can prevent the head regeneration if a Hydra is lit on fire for long enough it will eventually die using a fire dragon Seal sword flamed dragon bone sword or any fire Enchanted weapon is very effective once the heads are gone players can finish it off with a bow or with a melee attack and finally we move on to the much anticipated dragons dragons are known for their deadly abil abilities including flight and their formidable Reputation they have nine natural attacks and fully grown they can reach up to 50 blocks in length dragons can progress through five stages of development there are three variants of dragon there is the fire dragon ice dragon and lightning dragon all dragons will come in four different colors fire Dragons can come in fiery red emerald green gold yellow and Smokey black ice dragons can come in icy blue gem blue silver white and snowy white like dragons can come in amethyst purple dark black copper brown and electric blue younger dragons in stages 1 to three are found on small surface roosts while Older ones stage four and sometimes five will lurk in underground Caverns fire dragons can spawn in bioms with temperatures above -0.5 except jungle savanas and Badlands and ice dragons can spawn in biomes with temperatures below -0.5 including snowy biomes like ice spikes deep sea and cold sea and Lightning dragons can spawn in Jungle Savannah and Badlands biomes loot from a dragon will vary with what stage it is the drops may include dragon scales Dragon heart Dragon flesh or Dragon Blood a dragon skull and dragon bones are always going to be dropped dragon eggs which are important for breeding Can drop from stage four to five female dragons and the dragon scales can be used to craft armor and the dragon bones can be used to make tools dragons are hostile and will attack most nearby mobs including players they are capable of spotting prey from 64 blocks away Dragons May rest in roosts with valuable metals and chests they can fly rapidly making melee combat quite challenging they breathe deadly fire ice or lightning depending on the dragon they are and they have nine natural attacks including a roar a bite their breath and more Roars can inflict weakness and Stage four plus dragons can inflict weakness too different Dragon variants will attack each other for example fire dragons will attack ice dragons and lightning dragons so avoid putting them all close together while dragons Can’t Be Tamed tamed dragons are achieved through hatching an egg fire dragon eggs Must be placed on fire to hatch ice dragon eggs need to be placed in water for hatching and lightning dragon eggs must be placed in the rain to start hatching and a bolt of lightning will strike when they hatch two dragons can be bred if they are opposing genders and Stage four or higher fire dragons can be bred using a fire Lily mixture ice dragons can be bred using a frost Lily mixture and lightning dragons can be red using a lightning Lily mixture dragons have an inventory for dragon armor and a banner they will take 25 days to Progress per stage and 125 days to reach their maximum size growth can be accelerated through the use of dragon meal baby dragons can be carried on the owner’s shoulders until stage two stage three plus dragons can be mounted and controlled by the player various items like the dragon Command Staff and dragon Horns allow players to interact with and control tamed dragons the dragon forge is used to make corresponding Dragon steel ingots of its type using bottles of Dragon Blood and iron ingots at stage three plus Dragon when near a complete dragon forge will automatically breathe its corresponding breath onto the forge And begin the process of making Dragon steel ingots the blocks required are as follows one dragon forge core one dragon forge input eight dragon bone blocks and 17 dragon forge bricks once correctly constructed you may insert iron ingots and the Dragon Blood with the newly forged Dragon steel Ingots you
