Yoyoyo Minecrafters generic be here with another episode of my beginning minecraft series this video is about basic crafting but of course I’ve got videos for all of these other topics so if there’s anything else you’re interested in or show up kit there’s anything else you’re interested in you Just click on one of these signs and it’ll take you right to the video oh go ahead and look them over I’ll wait for you I’ll have a sip of my drink refreshing alright uh well if that’s the case let’s go on to basic crafting right so let’s get started with some basic Crafting now the very first thing we’ll want to make is a crafting bench and the reason for that is because by default we just have this little four area spot for crafting and that’s not enough to make all the complicated stuff or more complex things in the game so we’ll use Our trusty chests here and grab some wooden planks now the way you make a wooden plank is you chop down trees and you get wood you just put those in your little personal crafting area and just make planks like that very simple but you take your wood planks put one in Each little square like that boom crafting table simple enough place this down and right-click on it and as you can see we’ve got a much larger crafting area this is going to be our main spot where we’re going to make all of our crafted items so the first the next thing I guess Second thing we’ll make is a furnace which we talked about in one of my other videos so be sure to check that out it’s really easy to make a furnace you just take some cobblestone and make a nice little ring around like that and boom furnace simple simple Simple now you’re going to want to be able to store things right nice little dandy chests like this right so let’s make a couple of those go back to our crafting bench right click grab our wooden planks and just like the furnace we’re going to make a ring but we’re Going to do it out of wood planks instead and I’ll make a couple of those right and the cool thing about chests is you can either put one down and that’s your single chest or you can put one right next to it and it turns into a Double chest so you have this large chest now that is the largest you can make one so you know if you wanted to make additional chests you’d have to have a space in between this little sidenote the next thing you want to do Is a bed and a bed is useful if it is nighttime and that’s when all the scary people come out and you want to sleep through it and go back today what you need is some wool grab that and go to our crafting bench you’re going to do Three wool across and three wooden planks and the wool can be any color and a combination of colors because sometimes sheep are different colors but it’s going to come out with the same bed doesn’t matter what the color of wool is and for that you just sit there you lay It down let’s see is it nighttime yep so you just go to sleep and we’re up and it’s daytime even though we’re underground simple simple now you’ll see these torches along these are crafted as well and you need these in order to see because if it’s nighttime or if you’re Underground there’s no light super simple you grab yourself some sticks either coal or charcoal which again we mentioned in our furnace video and for this you can use a crafting bench but you don’t have to so let’s use that option well just press e to get to our little Personal item inventory screen here put some coal on top put a cup sticks on the bottom and for every for every combo that it makes for four torches so we got eight torches out of that and you can just take them right click them stick them all over the place It’s good stuff I sometimes you will be in a spot where you have to climb up and you could you know just make little stairs and do whatever but if you want to get a little fancy once let’s make some ladders go to our crafting bench We’ve got our sticks you just make a little H out of the sticks and I’ll make I’ll make a couple pair of those for every H it makes two ladders so we got our ladders and you just go over here get that place them on the wall and you Just walk right up fancy fancy and if you want to block an area off like let’s say we’ve made a little we’ve got a hallway going down there and we want to block this interest off let’s make a door go back to our crafting bench we’ve Got our planks do them in a two by three spot like that you have a wooden door you can also do this with iron ingots and make an iron door but what’s good for now and to open it you just right click it sounds like I need some oil Well okay that is the what I would call the essentials the stuff you need to survive the rest of the stuff that I’m about to show you is really more for either building things and making it look nice making your world a little more comfortable so you know let’s do Some half slabs and some stairs so I’m gonna grab all right you can do it with planks cobble Stone you can do with regular stone you can do it with brick sandstone tons of different things so let’s do this first do a half slab I’ll do it in cobblestone For a half slab is just three across like that and there’s your cobblestone slab and these are really useful for a couple things one is I’m going to put that down and then I shouldn’t let me dig out this ceiling because I’m two blocks high um it’s kind of good for Stairs in a way like if you don’t want to have to jump up stuff you got that there and another beneficial use for this is mobs or bad guys won’t spawn on these half slabs so you can cover your whole floor with these and it doesn’t matter about the light nothing will Spawn on these that’s really nice so the other thing is uh stairs so let’s do those in regular stone now the cool thing about Minecraft is there’s a lot of recipes but they’re all pretty intuitive so we can make stairs like that oh you know what’s going on that Should work can we not do that in clean stone pretty sure we could huh that’s interesting so here’s our stone stairs I’ll make I’ll make some in wood as well the regular stone should work I don’t know why it’s not very interesting uh and then yeah so you’ve got there’s your Little steps that you can go up of course I don’t have enough Headroom if I put one get rid of that guy put stair yep you just walk up so those are obviously good for stairs and decorations because it kind of makes like a nice little roof all that good Stuff I the next thing we’ll do is we will make some panes and bars so glass is made by smelting sand and then you can take your glass blocks and put them in a three by two and that makes 16 panes same thing with with the Iron you can do it in a three by two and it makes sixteen bars I’m not going to make these because I would actually rather have the ingots and this is my real world but the panes are very useful if you want to make some cool windows so Example if I come over here and I’ve got my pick and you know let’s say this is my my window looking out put a couple of these guys very nice great and the iron bars are the exact same way except they look like iron bars good for jail cells I now you will eventually want to have little farms where you keep your cows and pigs and sheep you check out my food farming and breeding video for more information on that but to the basic things you’ll need are you’ll need fences and fence gates so let’s do that Go back to our crafting table um the simple little three by two is how you make a fence and for every six sticks you make two fences and for the for the fence gate it’s two sticks on the side and two planks in the middle and there’s Your fence gate and the way those work is put them in my inventory got a little look at your to fence post your fence gate you can right-click it just like a door that lets you go in that doesn’t so real handy because then you can make little pens and put your Sheep and pigs and whatnot in there and if you want to make a different type of door a trap door that goes down instead of sideways dig down a couple here so you can see go back to our crafting bench and we will make a three by two in Planks and so for six planks you get two trapdoors you just place it on the block right above the hole and to open and close you just right click and this would be a really good point that our time to take your ladders and stick them right like that so then I’m climbing Down I’m down in here and a no mine or whatever and then you can come up this is actually what I’ve done way up there there’s you can’t see it but there’s a trapdoor up there and finally signs so signs are good for various things you can label your chest So you know what’s in Wyatt if you have a bunch of stuff and you want to organize its one stick and six planks there’s your sign it’s used in more advanced things you can hold a whole back water and do a bunch of crazy tricks with it but the most basic is you Just stick it on the wall right and say hey hey actually I’m more of a yoyoyo right and then it’s on their case you need to stick it on a hallway and say mushroom farm this way or breeding farm that way or whatever then we’ve got One essential that I missed was a bucket and to make a bucket you need iron ingots and you need three of them just on a little shape like this there’s your bucket now buckets are useful for carry water and lava and it’s good that I have this because I want to Show you guys how to make an infinite water source so right now like if you just had some water and you right-click on it with an empty bucket you get a bucket water but the water disappears right same over here now sometimes it’s a real pain if you need a lot of water To have to go and find a lake and all of that so we’re going to make what we call an infinite water source and this is a really essential in Minecraft so all you have to do is you can either dig a little Channel three like that some People do a little L shape like that both of them work you need two buckets of water you put one bucket on this side and I’m just filling it in by right-clicking and I’ll do the other one on the other side and you’ll notice it all goes still and then whenever you Need water you can just pick it from the middle don’t pick it from the edges so to pick up the water you point at the middle and right click and you notice it goes it goes still again which means it’s all source blocks and you just keep On trucking like that so that’s pretty much the basics of crafting there’s other stuff out there there’s enchanting tables and Brewing stands and all of that but you’ll get to that when you when you get your your feet wet your hands dirty a little bit more this is Just the basics that’ll get you going if you like this video check out my other beginning minecraft videos in the series very informative stuff subscribe to my channel it helps out a lot for me plus I’ve got a ton of different tutorials and videos on different
