Yo yo yo what’s going on Minecrafters generic be here with another video for my beginner minecraft series the series is for people who are just starting the game so if you’re an old-school minecrafter this series is not for you just go check out some of my other videos instead this specific video is Going to talk about furnaces and smelting um but if you’re interested in something else just go ahead and click on a sign and you’ll go right to that video I’ll wait doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo All right have you picked it if not you must be ready for furnaces and smelting so let’s get started all right let’s get cooking move alright so the first thing in smelting with furnaces is we’ve got to build a furnace makes sense right so let’s grab a some cobblestone and we Already have some look at me through the magic of television ok so it’s really easy to make a furnace you just build a little ring like this right and I’ll make think I got enough for three yeah perfect ok oh maybe no I do hello yes so we got Our three furnaces I feel like I need safer night or something perfect so now furnaces are really important because not only do they smelt stuff for us but they’re also our kitchen so because you don’t want to sit and eat raw meat it’ll make you sick don’t do it You wouldn’t do it in real life would you except for sushi and steak tartare but anywho the first thing is we need to give it some fuel so here’s here’s our options and actually we have a lot more technically you could put anything wood-based in here for fuel you can use Fences wooden stairs trapdoors bookshelves I mean you name it but there’s really you know only a couple common sensible types of fuel to use so the first two we’re going to show you our saplings and sticks now this is kind of like your worst case scenario if you’ve got nothing else to use Um as fuel you could throw some saplings or some sticks in there now it takes two saplings for every smelt so for example if I grab my saplings or grab my sticks and let’s say I’m smelting some cobblestone right and I go in here if I Put my if I put my cobblestone in here I have to put two and you can see when I’m is already used up and is turn in there’s the second ones turned and that’s it I’m done so it took two saplings for just one smelting same thing with sticks I have To put two sticks because otherwise it doesn’t do anything so it’s not very efficient now what’s slightly more efficient and it’s useful again if you’re kind of in a pickle and you don’t have coal or anything is you can use wood or wooden planks now the wood it Takes a for every one you do every every one you use as fuel it’ll smell one and a half things and the same with planks now it’s really inefficient to use wood the wood blocks themselves because for every one piece of wood you can make four point four planks so I would never Use the actual wood block instead you can use a plank and so I put two in there that’s going to give me three more smell things because that’s it’s one and a half per block right so that’s going that’s all well and good but really your Meat and potatoes as far as fuel goes is either coal or charcoal so let’s grab those guys Cole is found I think I’ve dug all my coal out but Cole’s found in the earth while you’re mining they’ll be little black spots on a on a block those are your standard ones and for Every one piece of coal you can actually smell eight different blocks so I’ll grab me some blocks here and I’ll throw let’s see I’ll put 20 in there just to show you so now I got two coal in there the that’s going to burn sixteen sixteen blocks no problem now your alternative If you can’t find coal is charcoal and the way you do that is you actually burn wood so I’ll use a well I had two sticks I’ll use that so that’ll burn one of these one of these wood blocks and it’ll create one piece of charcoal and that’s Going and it’s going boom here we go some charcoal now charcoal acts exactly the same as coal you can’t stack them together but you can also burn eight I herb smelt eight items with one piece of charcoal so again it’s good if you haven’t found any while you’re mining around it’s good for The first couple of days I you’ll eventually have more coal than you know what to do with so you really won’t have to worry about this so now the question is well what are the things you can use a furnace for now let me know what how We can feel it well the obvious one here is a we can smelt cobblestone back into the clean stone alright so that’s a that’s a no-brainer we can use sand grab this stuff we can throw some sand in here and smelting sand we’ll turn it into glass which is a really cool Feature you can use it to make windows window panes and all sorts of cool stuffs there’s our glass block I you can also use it to smell or like iron or gold and the reason you want to do that is right now you can’t do anything you Can’t craft anything with the actual or you have to turn it into an iron ingot and so you can see it’s a go in do to do to do and them there’s our iron ingot I another very common use for a furnace is to cook your food so if you kill a cow Or a chicken or a pig you get raw raw meat so we’re gonna take that throw your raw meat in there just like a little Julia taught child well then you take the raw B can you put it in the furnace and boom cooked chicken no cooked Chicken not only heals you more than raw chicken but also you don’t have to worry about getting food poisoning which is very very bad and then finally one of the one of the common uses for a furnace is if you find clay you can smelt that I Guess in this case it would be baking it and then that forms a brick and you can take multiple bricks and form a brick block and that’s how that works so yeah that’s it in a nutshell for smelting a very important piece of equipment to Have and now you know what its uses are and how to fuel it if you liked this video
