TheNeoCubest – Minecraft Modern Underground House Tutorial (How to Build)

Hey guys what is up than you cubist here welcome to my underground mansion tutorial this is a very very easy to build tutorial it seems like it’s kind of complicated but it’s not actually that hard it has everything you’d ever need to live you have an awesome little bedroom

Back here you have a nice enchanting / brewing area a nice storage / furnace room and a cool little pool with the secret underground rooms yeah let’s get started alright so for your modern underground home you gonna need the materials found on my hotbar below and you’re gonna want to make a little

Entrance like this you can go and just copy this one if you’d like I’m not gonna show you how to build it because it’s not important we’re gonna get down to the good stuffs we’re gonna open this little sprue store you want to build a ladder down pretty deep honestly you

Don’t want to make it too shallow because it’s too shallow it’s not gonna work I’ve gone ahead and done the hard work for you guys and dug out this room this is a 23 by 23 by 6 room so make one of those again 23 by 23 by 6 I know it’s

Really big but it’s gonna be really big modern underground home and it’s gonna be lots of fun so first step is going to be making your walls you’re also gonna be out of the gray clay block or grate concrete if you’re on the newer versions just I have the storages there just for

Lighting and you do that for the walls and on the floor we’re going to do a cobblestone floor which we are gonna change it up in some parts of the build but for now we’re just gonna do a standard cobblestone floor and then on the roof we’re going to use blocks of

Quartz so that’s gonna beat the roof material again nothing too fancy nothing too difficult I have confidence you guys can do that I’m gonna whirl around like this and then when I come back it’ll be ooh there we go guys it is all completely just shake your camera really

Hard and everything will happen so you got the quartz ceiling got the cyan or grey hardened clay walls and the cobblestone floor again these torches are just here for your visual purposes so you guys can see the recording a little bit better but now I’m gonna take

Some spruce wood blocks and I’m going to outline the staircase here I’ve decided to turn this into a mansion because again I have not built this before guys this is all gonna come from my head well we’ll see what happens we’ll see what happens usually it’s something good if

Not you’ll never see this recording and I’m talking to myself which is kind of weird but if you do see it then yeah it worked out so these are the glass planes I like to use white glass panes because I think they look I don’t know I like

The way they look you don’t have to use glass panes of course if you don’t want to but if you want to it looks nice that’s just gonna be the area where you know like the ladder is you could even go ahead and do something like that if

You wanted to make it look even though you know a little bit more fancy something like that there we go now we have a little ladder room next step is going to be actually depressing this two blocks actually let’s see yeah two blocks under and we’re going to make

Paths in between the rooms so you go ahead and just loop that and we don’t need any more white stained glass for the time being and we’re just going to but we’re gonna pick a block for the walls under here so I’m gonna use a brick walkway so we’re gonna go ahead

And just put brick there and then I’m trying to think of a block yard let’s do cobblestone on the walls like this so if you wanted just like you can bring this down right here but everywhere else you want to do like a cobblestone wall so

Now we’re just gonna break out the paths in here we’re going to do one Center path like this it’s just gonna be like a modular sort of room layout it’s gonna be like an open floor or an open open floor I don’t know I already forgot I

Was just talking to my girlfriend about that but I don’t remember what it was open an open-concept floor plan there you go there you go okay I don’t know why I couldn’t think of that again again we’re just sort of repeating the same thing here we’re just taking out this

Path this is gonna be where you walk in between your rooms next you want to decide how big your rooms are so that’s just in the middle of the room middle three blocks if you guys were wondering and we’re gonna define the other middle so how you do that is you take the

Diagonal corner like this and you take a diagonal block and you just kind of build it like that we’ll just see the torch there and then you do it with this so again just the same thing since it is a completely square room it is an odd

Number yes but should end up with a three space in the middle since it is the you know the same thing and then you wanted to stick out these paths as well so again the diagonals are just there you know I’m just using there was a

Guide block you might want to do that too just thought I’d give you give you guys a little tip as spooky minecraft sounds happen if you heard it right there now that now it might be the most scary thing I’ve experienced all day which isn’t much because I’ve just done

Laundry and hung help people that’s pretty much all I’ve done you know scary but that is the scariest things happen all day I gotta tell you guys um again we’re just digging this out perfect and now I’m gonna lay the brick floor not gonna record that part

But I think you guys get it you know there’s brick everywhere brick is you know brick his love brick his life so we’re just gonna do that real quick all right there we go we have the brick floor and looks like was it andesite what is that granite frickin granite was

Trying to hide from me which is okay but again you know we’re just gonna bring these cobblestone walls down on the paths like this and then on the actual wall like right here we’re just gonna bring down the great clay so I’m gonna go ahead and just do that everywhere

It’s something pretty simple but I wanted to you know mention that just for you guys so you wouldn’t get confused about what I did all right there we go all the paths have been dug out now we’re gonna make some nice little lighting fixtures so on the corner

Blocks here we’re just gonna put some glowstone like that again nothing too fancy but eh you know you I would recommend like not building this unless you have these materials because I don’t know what you’d substitute you could put torches right there and I think it would

Look just fine but I I personally I wouldn’t I wouldn’t do it but you definitely could we’re just gonna bring this a cobblestone up like that yeah we’re just gonna make it look like it’s somewhat supported again you got him got to support the roof support 2017 roofs

Because if you don’t they’ll come back to bite you in the butt and then we’re gonna put closed stone up here and we’re gonna make a nice little I don’t I don’t think it’ll be that fancy of a light fixture but it’ll it’ll work it’ll work

For now and then since I’m on the PC I can go ahead and do that on the underside which I know some of you guys can’t and I’ll really on the inside there you’d just I’m just gonna fill it in with with with fellow stone because

It’s gonna be not working if I try to put the trapdoors on the inside of two interior adjacent blocks it will not work fun fact I only learned what the word adjacent meant in geometry freshman years so I love using that word because it still feels like I’m you know like

You know doing some schools help me write write school helps you guys so much I don’t know honestly like school is something I was never a huge fan of but like I did it anyways cuz you know parents and stuff it’s good to get your high school education now I’m gonna do

Some conceptual lighting up here we’re just going to do some weird shape honestly like like the shape of this lighting is not going to matter that’s three that’s three and then one two so just I copy that so you guys see what I’m doing so this is one two three four five six

Seven eight blocks up so this entire wall here in that three and then you have a three block gap right there and then you’re just gonna put your closed stone wanting the back of this I’m only gonna build one of these but I’m gonna do this on all three sides we’re gonna

Have a little bit of symmetry in this build this is the one place where glass is going to be necessary the full glass block as if you use panes it’s going to connect and it’ll just it’ll a a key and no one likes a key things right except

People that are in teh key things which is you know that that if they want to be that’s okay it doesn’t matter to me you know if you like worms you like playing with spiders and worms go ahead but that stuff you know it kind of freaks me out a little bit

Continue the brick under here I’d do the wall material for that and then I would just fill in everything with glass like so it’s gonna look nice and it’s gonna look you know modern like builds even in real life they have these huge windows and huge lights and since I’ve never

Actually built underground myself and a modern style I you know you’d still want big windows I’d assume but I don’t really think you know this isn’t like a real lifestyle that people do at all but I’m gonna copy this exact thing right there and right there and I’m gonna come right

Back all right there we go one two and three are complete everything looks good again keeping the quartz block up there brick down there and everything make sure you want to keep them all uniform it looks like a Boop tear and put that down boop boop boop there you go nice

Little method right here I figure since the ceiling block is actually made out of quartz oh no I broke the glowstone and the trapdoors are still standing thanks minecraft one point and all I’m gonna do here is instead of these cobble stone pillars I’m gonna change them out

For quartz the idea just struck me I think it’s gonna look a little bit better in terms of you know aesthetics ah much better much better I think that looks a lot better as far as lighting I’m just kind of slowly removing the torches just so I know where lighting is necessary that’s

A good thing to do in all of your builds because you’ll figure out what areas are dark what areas aren’t dark because if you don’t know where to put like stuff then you’re never gonna know where to put stuff also before I get too far in make sure you make these little dividers

Right here like that and we’ll figure out the entrances to each little room in a second here but just basically section off every room with some white glass like that I’m gonna do that remove all the torches and you’ll you know what’s next there we go all the torches have been

Removed now you’re gonna need to find a way to get in and out of your you know you build that’s probably important what I’m going to do it and make a two-eyed staircase right here starting with stairs and Boop there you go if you want to you can put some glowstone on this

Little block it’ll make it look a little bit better and again just doing the same thing you want to make sure that your stairs line up is so you know kind of like that you can go ahead just fin off this glass one or two more blocks like

That and now we’ve entrance those two rooms and we’ll do the same thing over here that middle area I guess would technically be sort of useless but if this is if the house was built deep enough underground which honestly when I do the tutorial I don’t like to go too

Far under because I there’s no there’s no point it’s not in survival but I’ll just give you some tips right now if it wasn’t survival you want to know what I would do I’d build this really really deep I wouldn’t build it like super deep but pretty deep and I would mine out

This area right here and then do a little mineshaft or something down there and that would look a heck of a lot better as far as like you know usefulness I guess now this over here you see that’s kind of dark I’m gonna take some torches and I’m just going to

Light it up a little bit just to give it some lighting torches are okay you know if you put torches in one part of the build then you’re gonna have to put them in another part like like you can’t just have torches in some places and you know

In others none at all so if you’re gonna put torches down make sure you at least put them somewhere else in the build so like this entranceway has torches for instance and then you know if you wanted to make the corners look a little bit better you could do something like that

And put some torches down you know just just to give a little bit more you know lighting the word wouldn’t be you know lighting diversity let’s put it let’s put it that way and in this day and age let’s admit diversity is always welcomed so in the corner over here what I’m

Going to do is make a little sectioned off area a little bit of a room like this and this is just gonna be where your bedroom would be and we’re not gonna do you know the little thing over here because we already have the area

Lit up but I’m gonna just do some blocks of quartz like this and again you know if we’re doing kind of open-concept you don’t want to have any walls that are too much you know like too much is in like there they’re just everything like they’re they’re not open there

I don’t really know what the words I’m going for here are but you’ll kind of see what I’m doing just making a little room here I just did one two three four five six seven blocks and then just four right there made a nice little room you don’t even

Have to have like a roof on that you really don’t need one but you know just tall enough to sort of section off the bedroom because if you want to be sleeping with all the bugs and stuff and that’s okay we’re actually gonna go ahead and just

Go with this pillow right here as well and let me just do it over here because I like symmetry and builds but sometimes symmetry isn’t always the best I’m gonna use some slabs of oak wood you know these ideas are just sort of coming to

Me as I go so we’re gonna put some slabs on top of here instead of just doing a something like that it’s always good to have a little bit of texture so if you want to do something like that you could or I’m just giving you guys ideas I’m

Actually giving myself ideas hold on let me design this truth here we go the ideas ideas just struck me so we’re gonna take this oak wood we’re gonna bring it up like that make it look like it’s a part of the room and then we’re just going to every block like this so

You probably see this a lot in a lot of modern builds again you’re just sort of making it modern and making it modern means making it weird and sometimes you have to make design toys choices that aren’t just there’s not gonna make sense but in the end they will look good why

Will they look good couldn’t answer that question because I’m not the best at modern but honestly bring this out one more like this and company and company this blocks but we’re not even gonna have that interior wall be right there we’re actually in a bit one out and then

You’d want to bring this out and you know bring it out bring it out you know like the song and then you only put your windows right where that is and then you can just take this out and expand that one out and then put your window right there like that block right

There and there you go and then you have a nice little bedroom area again it’s not gonna be something super super fancy but it is gonna look nice if you wanted to I guess what you could do you could just do something like that and put the

Floor just right there but you want to make sure you continued the same block everywhere you know for instance if there’s there’s a block right there also gonna have to be a block right there but you know if you want to do it how you

Want to do it you do it how you want to do it but if you don’t want to do it how you want to do and you do it my way does that make sense there we go now we have a little bit of a an interesting looking doorway

We’ll put it that way an interesting looking bedroom does it make sense no does it look good yes so I’m gonna put some more torches up there just for lighting now on the inside of the bedroom what you need while just gravel is materials don’t have to do it on

Camera there we go who’s the bedroom materials that I’m going to use you don’t have to use the same materials if you wanted to do two beds you could definitely get away with two beds right there as far as lighting goes in here honestly I would go with I’m gonna figure out

First let’s see what just happened there we go F yeah F yep okay I don’t like that I think that’s really weird that they did that but you know that’s that’s the new Minecraft you can hold two blocks in your hands which it doesn’t make sense to me but it doesn’t have to

Write onliest make sense to the creators I guess so now that I have that block free and grab a torch there we go replace it with gray carpet no with that and we’ll just do some lighting up here so again you just need lights in your builds because you know lighting is

Always nice it’s not NACO did not have any light because in you can’t see not seeing the absence of light and that’s spooky sometimes we’re gonna put some oak wood right there each person can have their own little personal chest you could do something like that if you know since this is a

Bigger build you could I guess do more than one of these rooms but I’m just doing one because you know that’s how I do over here we can take stair and we can break out this wall I mean that’s like the best thing right you don’t have

To keep that uniform in uniform amenity that’s not a word and I’m not gonna use it ever again I promise I promise but you want to make sure it’s somewhat uniform in like what why is it grab what are you doing there buddy coming out coming out strong like the future song

Right the future and quavo future I like the song better and you know just keeping the same symp style everything you know you just do the gray carpet in here too so now you have a little bedroom area and if you wanted to in the middle here you could just take some

Glowstone and you could add a little bit of uh how you say June’s a qua probably not but that’s the right word for that but we need to have a little bit of storage back here and then while you’re in here you could just do some furnaces

And if you want to add some depth you could do them one ahead like that oh that’s right I always forget when I build in carpet I have to break the block do carpet like that you could take a stair and you could do you could do

Something in here like this and then take another stair do it like that if you can’t do it on that wall but that’s okay sometimes not all not all walls are created equal fun fact we could take a painting which I got rid of for some

Reason and you can put it in here girls to do two pots do two blue orchids because we’re basic and just do a nice little painting like yep that’s beautiful skull you can actually do torches on the inside of that fun fact that looks really neat I think that

Looks pretty cool if you wanted to make this look a little bit better you could take a piece of oak wood it’s oak with leaves and you could do something like that and stick it in there make it look even more fancy nice little bedroom you could

Expand that all the way up because leaves are always welcome in a modern build I think it looks pretty good for the bedroom but you still have all the symptom a be wondering what are you gonna do with it let’s find out now alright sweet so I figured it out

Because I totally did not have that planned out in my head at all but that’s okay that’s just how it that’s how it go that’s how we do on a new Cuse channel leave a like leave a like for that uh what’s that called when you think of

Things on the spot I don’t know I can’t think when I’m recording I can’t think of like words that everyone would you know it seemed like their words you should always you know know but I’ll be honest like sometimes you just can’t think when you’re recording that’s okay

No let’s do some chests just clear out the inventory and let’s grab a chest yeah let’s grab glowstone and you not now you know what I’m doing if you’re a subscriber and you’ve been here for a while you know I love glowstone chest areas because they’re beautiful you

Can’t open the top lock so we’ll just do one chest there and then we’ll do furnaces in the back you can always do that and that looks just as good there you go perfect bring down this cobblestone wall this is looking a little funky right here could

I make it look fun funky if I do this oh yeah oh yeah that actually pretty cool let’s see if I can make this looking better do something like that yep sound like that yep perfect awesome looks good to me actually now that doesn’t look as good

I’ll be honest see sometimes I’ll change things a night I don’t think they look as good but you know that’s okay that’s always okay there we go now it’s much more open cut what just I think if it’s not like something just exploded outside of my house that’s always great when you

Hear that you know it’s always a coming sound to hear I’m just gonna fill in the cobblestone walls there we’re going to do a brick floor on the inside perfect perfect nothing too fancy alright so on this wall right here so I’ve just filled in the brick you guys didn’t figure that

Now already we’re just gonna do a nice little long table as long tables are nice and modern and fancy I’m on the corner block here you can just do something like that and then just end the end table like right there make it like that looks nice you can put a torch

On the end table and that looks good too and you can do some pots like this just you know random pots because everyone always you always need some pots in your builds because that just makes it look good you’ve got to remember right there’s the actual interior wall you

Just do two crafting tables right there you actually just do a bunch of crafting tables if you wanted because modern equals weird equals question mark you could do a crafting table right there if you wanted I guess in the back wall you can do another crafting table right

There just put crap from tables everywhere because you’re always having to use crafting tables even though I’m in the entryway you know right here we’ll just do a crafting table and then we’ll do a do a stair right here with pot in a blue orchid and then we’ll just

Put a torch on top here it’s a little bit dark in there now you have that walkway kind of done not really but for that area yes on the inside here we’re just going to fill in a couple blue orchids we’ll do some alliums because they look

Nice I have checked the name thought I got it wrong and then one of these reserved blue it’s beautiful nice little flowers if you want to kind of continue that pattern to do another torch right there that’s this little underground room I’m sure you guys could fill it up

With even more beautiful things if you do send the pictures on Twitter but let’s get started on the next room alright so I’ve just grabbed all the materials ahead of time and basically now what we’re going to do we’re gonna build this walkway the stairs are gonna

Come down right here so you just go ahead and build that and then we’re just gonna take this white glass we’re gonna bring it over and dig out this inside area here we’re gonna do an enchanting table room in here which will be nice and then a hybrid brewing room type

Thing don’t really know we’ll see where it takes us but hopefully it takes us somewhere beautiful always does always seems to at least will say like that always seems to take us somewhere beautiful sometimes you know it can take us to a scary Road where we don’t want

To be but if that happens I promise it’ll all be okay well we’ll figure it out together you me and the rest of the two hundred thousand of you which only you know like ten thousand you watch but that’s okay because I know some people got bored of Minecraft and you know I

Did for a little bit but it came back to me I came back strong coming out strong again there we go there we go we’re gonna need some torches for the time being won’t need those anymore so I’m just gonna hold the torch we’re gonna do

A brick floor in here you know the same you know continued pattern of brick floors in the rooms so that’s you know pretty simple to figure out not gonna record that also if there’s any places like missing you know the cobblestone just go ahead and fill those in you can

Fill this in with whatever because we’re gonna end up breaking it anyways but we’ll put a torch right down in the middle for now just for lighting this this wall right here since it’s just kind of open we’re just gonna do two stairs and we’re gonna do some slabs

They’re also made of the Spruce slabs bruce’s spruce slabs whatever you want to call them anything fancy I’m gonna put those in there then you guessed it brewing since all the brewing stance we’re gonna do that put water in it water right there nice and then we’re gonna take some

Enchanting tables and if you want to add even more depth to this you could you could just go under two blocks like that put the enchanting table dig out the area around it like that and then you could just fill in all the bookcases you just take books like this and again

This just adds even more depth to your bill do you need to do this no could you put it on that level yes but you have to put it one over X in the bookcases would have to be like that because you can’t break out this wall because that’s the

Actual like block to the outside so I figure what is to press it into the ground a little bit and it should look fine do some break like that this also gives us ample opportunity to light it up a little bit make it look nice you

Can even do the bookshelves up here if you wanted to you know well actually you shouldn’t do that nevermind that should be a full 30 this mixer yep perfect that is he full 30 and then you want to pick one side too like I actually get in and out of your thing

Your enchanting room because if you can’t get in and out then there’s no point because it’s you know it’s just you’re stuck in there if you fall in and take that it’s like the most complicated way I didn’t even grab the gloat I did that entire little mission right there

It didn’t even grab the block I was going for that deserves alike right is that how it works is that how YouTube works I deserve it like for messing up so there you go brewing area if you want to make it look even more fancy I typed in sync because I’m an idiot

I need the lever it makes a sink but it’s not a sink like that’s not a Blanc in the game now you have an enchanting table area if you wanted to like this up you could put closed stone right here and then to make this all a little bit

Easier you could take an anvil and it always seems like there’s an enderchest near these just in case you want to like enchant things so take an ender chest and then you could just do that right there and anvil right there they could put the actual I can’t think of the name

The the ender chest right there perfect and then over here we can just do something like this take some glowstone put it up there take some trapdoors so you always get these like blocks lined out before I do the build and then I totally like remove them when I’m

Building other parts so it’s pointless I don’t even know why I do it there’s no point anymore we should just give up as far as infinite water goes you could do a really easy like infinite water source under here you could take oh so you have a glow stone my hand

It’s like that you know it’s times you lose things and they’re just in your hand those are fun fun times you get to an infinite water source like that if you just put the water right there and right there and then fill it in it’ll be infinite so

Now you have infinite water when you’re brewing your potions but then over here you guys probably have a pretty good idea of what I’m gonna do totally not illegal to another work farm I promise guys you only get in trouble if you let people know you have it so

Just try to not let people know you have it because that’s never good you know if they if they know you’re growing it and then they’re gonna they’re gonna want it they’re gonna want your nether wart your awkward potions I gotta won them all they’re gonna steal them they’re gonna freakin steal them

There you go nice little brewing room the inner chest looks a little weird it’s in like a it’s in like a weird spy I guess we’ll leave it it’s in kind of a weird spot nice little enchanting modern room it’s not super modern but I mean it’s it’s as

Its as modern as it’s gonna get for an enchanting room honestly doesn’t need to be anything super fancy you might actually need a crafting table so that’s probably a good thing that’ll make this look a little bit less out of place you could take a pressure plate that’s made

Of wood and put that on top as well am I missing anything probably a couple chests somewhere let’s find a spot for those let’s let’s get creative here I guess along this entire wall you could do chest right there and chest right there yeah that’s fine with me it looks good

To me remember put the glowstone in and remember you can’t the stop block nope just do a stare that’s made of spruce put it upside down then I’ll actually fit perfectly and then you could go ahead and just put your chests in there that’s pretty simple pretty simple nothing too complicated chest chest

Chest chest chest perfect and then you could probably do another one right here you probably should do another one right here if you want but just let’s see if I can can I grab it yeah there we go perfect if you’re on the PC you didn’t know you could middle click and it’ll

Like make the block select it and that’s like really helpful for building and creative now we have the enchanting room now let’s get on to the storage room over here slash furnace smeltery room so I’m gonna you know get all those materials to come right back alright so

Before we get started on that I was thinking of some spots for some oak leaves and I think I think I have the solution here I have a so just gonna be a little bit difficult so we’re just gonna we’re just going to do that we’re gonna remove that we’re gonna take

These oak oak right here and we’re gonna try to place them okay we’re gonna go in here – it’s gonna be way too hard and then we’re going to fill in the back area again more glowstone never can be too much glowstone are you gonna have to

Have a lot of glowstone from the nether to build this probably again this more like an in-game house that’s why I’m going so in-depth and showing you guys literally every area that it needs to be like showing so trying to go as in-depth as I can all right so let’s go over here

And let’s start on this the wall right here so we’re gonna dig it out to where actually we’re not even gonna dig we don’t even have stairs there because this is just this is one of those bills it’s gonna be so intense that we don’t even need it we’re just gonna break out

This into our area under here so again we’re gonna keep that pattern we’re gonna continue that block down like that but basically I’m just gonna dig out this entire thing right here one away from this wall of course you don’t want to take that in but just basically this

Entire area I’ve outlined right here it’s gonna be two down so like this pistol let me do that come right back once that is complete of course you’re gonna continue the same sort of brick floor in here so I’m not going to show you guys that but I’m just gonna tell

You so that you guys can do it and I’ve marked out these little things gonna be where our chests and dents go so just kind of ignore those I’ll have to actually break under them a place to brick but yeah just do it brick floor in

Here there we go that’s how you do that pretty good and you see you know I just continued this gray hardened clay or cyan whatever the heck it’s called down like that and I’ve marked out these areas because these are gonna be like where the chests are right so we’re

Gonna put a chest in the wall right there and just sort of mark out that area you can do it like that right there and right there and then you just break up these as high as you want the chest I’m only gonna do it like mmm you can

Reach up to about that high so I think that’s about as high as I’m gonna go as far as this chest go right there so we’re gonna mark out these sections and dig that up as high as well and then right there actually we may not go that

High right there because of the light fixture thingy so we’ll just do it like that have a nice little chest area marked out I’m gonna fill in all of these with the glowstone and you guys remember at the top so take your spruce stairs like that so if this is the top

You take the sprue stairs put it right there those ones right there those one’s right there and right there and right there and then now the part that I’m not gonna record is putting all the glowstone in here so like that you know you just you just

Fill it in like that you can you don’t have to do glowstone if you do just put brick right there and then cyan clay on the backside of that right there I do more cyan clay but okay never I’m not gonna oh my god pause recording for that
