Hey guys so a lot of you were curious as to which mods I use in my videos so I thought I’d make this short little video kind of explaining which mods I use why I use them what functionalities they have and a couple of the settings that I Use in them all of these mods are fabric mods and this isn’t a tutorial on how to download these mods they’re just a Showcase of which ones I use but I will leave a link to a tutorial of how to download fabric mods and a fabric game Client in the description if you would like to download any of these mods for yourself so the one mod that I probably get the most use out of on a day-to-day basis is the mod twikaru this is just a client-side building mod mainly that has some aesthetic functions as well so if We want to access the settings for this mod we can hold down X plus C on our keyboard which opens up this menu here and gives us this whole list of options now the main uses for this mod I use on a day-to-day basis at least are fast Block placement which I have tied to n so if I press n on my keyboard I can toggle it on or off and if we put it on I can just hold down right click spam blocks as I wish the second two functionalities I mainly use are the Free camera and the gamma override so as you can see everything’s really bright right here so if we set the time tonight we can see that the lighting doesn’t really change but if I press period on my keyboard we can toggle that on and off which is a really useful feature That’s great for when I’m exploring caves or if I’m building in a dark environment just makes it a lot easier to see another one I have is free cam so if I press the number lock key on my keyboard I can kind of fly out of my Character look around and kind of look at machines like if there was an error with this sorter here like a I don’t know a Peter was missing or something I’d be able to inspect that and see where the issue is so that I could easier fix it in the game the other main Function I use with this mod is the flexible block placement settings so as you can see we have adjacent which is Bound to You offset which is bound to I and rotation which is bound to left brick so adjacent would just be adjacent To the block so if I hold down U on my keyboard I get this this little grid on top or on the side of a block and if I hold it here just places it adjust to the block and if I pair this with the fast block placement function I can Bridge out rapidly in any direction that I need which is great and super helpful for building next with the placement offset which I have bound to eye on my keyboard I can offset blocks in any direction that I wish which is really nice sometimes if I need to I don’t know Stare up like this I can just automatically create stairs like that or if I need to go down on the other side for any reason I can just hold it on like this and then go down really quickly so huge Time Saver and a very helpful setting in the Mod the last block placement one we have is bound to left bracket so this is a directional block thing so whenever you have blocks like Pistons that are directional it allows me to set it in whatever Direction I want so if I turn off fast block placement here as you can See if I set it like this it’s on the side if I set it here it’s up if I crouch down you can go here it’s upside down which can sometimes be annoying in certain builds and I won’t be able to like let’s say there’s like a block here And here and I need it to be like that and I can’t I’d have to you know build up here go like this and then put a bunch of extra stuff to make it go down but with the hotkey here if I want to for example place it facing down I can Just hold down the bracket pick that face it down if I want to face it up I can do the same there if I want to face it to the side I can do it like that so one of the most helpful tools that I use On a day-to-day basis the second mod I get the most use out of is the mod light matica so essentially what this mod is is it’s a blueprint mod which you can save large scale builds into and essentially it’ll give you a holographic blueprint of the build so that you can Get the materials needed for it and build it up with ease so the tool for this mod is just a stick any stick will work in survival or creative and you have nine options here we have area selection schematic placement fill replace block paste schematic into world grid paste schematic into world move Delete and edit the schematic so if we can load in a schematic here which you can load in by pressing M on your keyboard you have this menu here and we can have loaded schematics which are schematics already loaded into the game as you can see we have none load Schematics which gives you your list of schematics which as you can see here I have quite a few from a bunch of different builds I’ve had and then we have some editing settings and a couple other things that we can use that will help us out so let’s load in a Cobblestone Farm here this is just a basic Cobblestone farm and as you can see behind us here we have this blueprint and it’s completely transparent it has this blue tint to it so you can tell that it’s not actually loaded into the game and all we have to Do here is just follow the blueprint with whatever we want so if we have the Block in our inventory you can middle click and automatically have it selected and then just follow the blueprint as is and as you can see as well if you have a Block that is not supposed to be in that area it’s shaded with purple and if you use the wrong Block in a certain spot it will be red so really really useful mod for building large scale redstone contraptions since I personally am not very Adept with redstone and it allows You to use other creators builds in your own Survival or creative or whatever world you like something else you can use with this mod is a material list so if we go back to the Cobblestone Farm down here we have material list and this will give you the exact list of items Needed for the blueprint and if you have them in your inventory or not so as you can see available one that’s our stained glass right here but if I were to have all these items in my inventory it would all be green and say that we have all of The items this also reads I items inside of shulker boxes so if you decide to put all of these items inside a single shulker box and then have that in your inventory then it’ll be able to read that as well which is really helpful for large scale builds and collecting Materials for those builds another function you have is if you’re in creative and let’s say I wanted to just test this machine out because I just downloaded it off a schematic website or something but I didn’t want to build out the whole thing in Creative I can simply Just paste it into the World by switching to the paste schematic in World option this only works in Creative so of course you can’t just instantly create stuff in survival without the materials and then just press enter on your keyboard and look at that spawns the whole thing in works perfectly and Yeah another thing I forgot to mention is if you want to move around schematics first of all you navigate through this little selection on the bottom left of my screen while holding a stick by holding left control on your keyboard and then using your scroll wheel to go Through the different options but if you wanted to move a holographic schematic like this all you would have to do is go to the schematic placement setting and then hold all alt on your on the left side of your keyboard and use the scroll wheel in whatever Direction you’re Facing to move it either forward backward left right up down and whatever you need to position it where you need it now the third mod that I use the most in the game is mini HUD and to understand the functionalities of this mod and why it’s useful you first have To have a just relatively basic understanding of the underlying game mechanics happening in the background of every Minecraft world so essentially there are bounding boxes and certain spawning areas that are tied to your player and to the environment so bounding boxes are essentially the area where certain mobs can spawn in certain Structures for example fortresses Nether fortresses are the only places that can spawn wither skeletons and Nether fortresses have a large red bounding box around them that the mod can display to give you a better idea of where to build maybe a wither skeleton Farm if that’s something that you’re trying to do and This works with any structure in the game that has specific mobs type to it it can also show you the random tick range around you and ticks are essentially the time that is passing in the game they are on standard 20 ticks per second but they can slow uh Depending on lag in your game so if your game is very laggy your ticks can drop down to maybe 15 ticks a second this usually only affects servers but it can happen in single player worlds too if you have a lot of processing going around I forgot to mention this is Important because things outside of the random tick range will not be ticked so for example Redstone signals and such will not be activated outside of the random tick range so if we want to use this mod we can hold down H and C on our keyboard which gives us a similar menu To the twikaru menu and here we have a whole range of options depending on what we need it for I don’t use this mod as often as I use tweakuru but I do use it whenever I’m building some Farms or any other complicated spawning oriented type Machines or whatever so if we go to shapes here we have an option to show our despawn sphere and this will essentially spawn in a sphere around us and inside of the sphere if I were to be positioned right there which I just flew away so it wouldn’t be in the right Position the this sphere is essentially where mobs can spawn and despawn and whenever you move your player this sphere moves with you it’s invisible usually but you know if you stand in a certain spot you can see where mobs will spot a d-spawn and this is helpful for If you’re trying to build a mob farm you can find out exactly where you need to AFK or whatever you need one of the more common functionalities for this mod is the actual mini HUD itself which as you can see is in the top left corner of my Screen and you can customize the information that’s put up there I currently have my FPS my date and time my coordinates which way I’m facing how quickly I’m moving what biome I’m in and the entities or mobs that are in the environment but another one of the Common features that I use with this mod a lot is the light level placement so as you can see my press J on my keyboard I can see the light level of blocks and this does not count the sunlight level this is only the ground light level so If I get like a torch or something I can put it down and as you can see it’s green now and green just basically means that no mobs can spawn on it so if it were to be night time and I’m pretty sure I’m on peaceful mode yeah but if it Were to be night time and it was hard mode then of course you know where there’s light mobs can’t spawn so this is really good for spawn proofing I can efficiently Place torches far enough away from each other so that I don’t have to use more than I need and it’s Just you know a pretty helpful tool but this is probably the most common thing that I use with the mini HUD mod so the next mod I use pretty much all the time is just simply an Aesthetics mod and that is the mod distant Horizons and we’re here in my survival initiative World to Showcase it because I have most of the chunks rendered in this world now I don’t want to look too far to the left because I don’t want to spoil anything for the upcoming episode which is a really really cool one so I would prefer Not to spoil anything but as you can see over there we can see my crane from the last episode and there’s the sugarcane Factory over there so as you can see it just maxes out the render distance you can see really really far but if we zoom In closely we can see that we can’t actually see each each individual blocks in that it’s a low or resolution scale of it and this is essentially what we call an LOD or level of detail so the game will scale down the level of detail Needed for the blocks so that it can fit the processing power into the computer and not you know break the whole thing and blow up my PC and burn down my house because that would be bad a couple settings for this mod that are really important is first of all you access it Just by hitting Escape going to options and going to this little icon here and something very important with this mod is you can Max it out you can use if you go to Quality options a maximum render distance of 2 000 Chucks which is really really big but if you’re going to do This you need to be absolutely sure that in the world generation settings enable distant generation is set to false if this is set to true what the game will do is attempt to generate all of those 2000 chunks at the same time which will tank your FPS to zero freeze your game And you will be forced to force quit which can have a chance to corrupt your world which nobody wants trust me this is almost exactly well not exactly how I lost my last World my power went out but crashing your game or hard stopping your world without saving properly can lead To corruption and the loss of your world so be very careful and ensure that this is always set to false if it’s not set to false you’re gonna have lag it’s gonna suck these are also my quality features um I just have features you know fancy light actually I should have Fast light generation light generation is not something that’s really important in this mod you cannot really tell uh if we actually go out here and I turn off Fulbright you can see that even with simple the light still looks fantastic unless I zoom in which you know most of The time you’re not zooming in anyway a couple more quality options um horizontal scale and vertical or horizontal quality and vertical quality I just have set to medium you can set them to whatever you like but the reason I don’t change these is I have to fly Over those new areas to reload the higher resolution lods that have higher quality and as you can see this is like a 10 000 block radius around this whole area and I have to manually or I had to manually fly in a ring around these Areas which took a very long time I went ahead and did it in spectator mode just because I wanted to load a massive area so it would look good for the videos the next mod I use a lot I’m not going to go too in depth on this one but I use Replay mod and what this does is allows me to record sessions of my games to film time lapses and such for like build big building projects that I can use for my videos the average player unless you’re making YouTube videos doesn’t really need to use this mod it’s not Really useful for anything else besides you know making time lapses and such and something that’s very important with this mod is if you’re going to use it if you go to settings here you can have the recording indicator set to off if I have it on then well you can’t see it here But it’ll have a large recording uh words that say recording here with like a big red circle looks really ugly so make sure you turn that off um have record single player on if you’re playing on a single player world and turn off automatic recordings because if you have this on it will Always be recording now what I suggest you do is if you do use this mod if you’re going to AFK at a farm and you don’t plan on recording it or you’re going to AFK for very long sessions I’m talking like 10 to 20 hours of AFK in a Farm or something make sure you legitimately remove the mod from your mod folder and just do not have it in the game because regardless of having automatic recording on or off the game will record unencoded footage which if you don’t know how that works the game will record unencoded footage and then When you save it it encodes the footage and makes it so you’re able to view it edit it make time lapses and so on but regardless of this setting being on or off it’s going to make unencoded footage and if you have it for like 12 to 20 Hours or whatever it will 100 every single time crash your game at around like the eight or six to eight hour mark okay and if you’re trying to AFK obviously you don’t want your game crashing and that’s just not you know something that’s ideal the last actual gameplay mod I use is The mod continuity and what this does is essentially just connects textures for glass blocks that’s pretty much all it does so if we go here to Resource packs we see we have the continuity resource packs right here and it just makes connected textures like you would have And other things like OptiFine which I just prefer over like each Square having it so like if we were to take out the resource pack here and reload our our Graphics you can see it’s like each individual Square which I don’t really like as much uh I prefer The connected textures I just think it looks a lot nicer this is just personal preference you don’t have to use it if you don’t want obviously but this is what I prefer now the last couple of mods I would like to mention before ending the video are just my performance Optimization mods like clumps Forge so clumps is essentially just a mod that takes all XP clumps so if you have a large XP farm and puts them into one entity so it’s not loading a lot of entities adding lag to your game I also use the fabric API which is needed for Some fabric mods but not all it kind of just depends uh when you’re downloading some of these mods it’ll let you know if the fabric API is needed or not I also use carpet mod which is a mod that allows you to use a whole list of commands which is really helpful for Some AFK farms for example if I want to be using another program on my computer while AFK at a farm that requires me to swing my sword I can type in a command that will autumn automatically have my character swing his sword without any input from me whatsoever which is pretty Good for those AFK Farms I also use other optimization mods such as rubidium sodium Starlight and malalib and malalib is off for mini HUD so that’s just one of the background operating mods similar to the fabric API I also use NDM and Iris these are just two other Optimization mods well iris is actually a Shader mod so if I press K on my keyboard I can load in shaders and make the game look completely different which let me turn off Fulbright so you can actually see my character yeah so um you know these are just preference Mods uh of course you know use it as you wish and yeah that pretty much wraps up all of the mods I use if you guys uh found this video useful in any way shape or form thumbs up would be greatly appreciated and a sub to the channel the Next episode of the survival initiative should be out in about a week or so so make sure you guys stay tuned to that because it’s going to be a really big one big emphasis on the words big all right so I’ll see you guys then peace out Video Information
