You know what? Let’s just keep this intro short and simple. In Minecraft release 1.7, we got much of the fantastic biome variation that made Minecraft’s terrain generation so good. There’s so many biomes with so many variations embedded within. And today, I wanna know what the rarest biomes are in the entire game. This may seem like a fairly trivial topic for its own video, but, trust me. There’s a lot more to this one than meets the eye. ANTVENOM THEME So in case you guys don’t believe me, Let’s start out with the rarest biome in the entire game. It’s not Ice Spikes, or the Mushroom Island, But in fact it’s a biome that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen prior to making this video, which is the Jungle Edge M biome, which can occur at the border of Jungle biomes along with any other biome. Not only is this Jungle variation one of the smallest biomes in the game, Usually becoming no bigger than 300 blocks end-to-end, but it’s a rare variation of another rare variation. Yo dawg, just look for a mountainous Jungle biome that has a very low density of trees along with some mountains. If you come across it naturally, you’ll have stepped into the rarest biome in all of Minecraft. Before you go any further, I wanna note two things: First is that I don’t have a whole lot to say about the remaining items on this list, so I’ll be going through it quite quickly. But second is that each biome in Minecraft has a set temperature, and when the biomes themselves generate, There’s usually an effort made within the world’s spawn code to make sure that biomes spawn next to other biomes with similar temperatures. But, this isn’t always possible, which can rarely lead to extremely hot biomes touching extremely cold biomes. So if you encounter this, then you’ll also have seen a biome occurrence that’s quite rare. Okay, it’s rapid fire time. Also, from here on out, I won’t be listing these biomes in order of rarity or anything like that, just the fact that these biomes are rare. Number 2 is the Sunflower Plains biome. A fun fact about sunflowers is that they always faced east, though if you’re unable to look at the moving Sun or Moon, and figure out where you’re going, then I feel kinda bad for you. Alright, number 3: the Extreme Hills+ M biome. While Extreme Hills+ is a fairly uncommon variant of the Extreme Hills biomes by themselves, The + M variant is rarer than that. An easy way to spot this biome are the massive gravel pits that spawn atop these mountains with small patches of grass, along with infrequent oak and spruce trees. Next up: Number 4. I bet some of you might’ve been waiting for me to say this one actually, but, it almost goes without saying that the Mushroom Island and the Mushroom Island Shore are pretty rare biomes. And, fun fact about this one, is that aside from mob spawners, only Mooshrooms can spawn on this biome. That includes hostile mobs, which makes this the safest naturally occurring biome in the entire game. So, three more to go. Number 4 is a little hard to spot among the mess that are already Mesa biomes, but it’s the Mesa Plateau F M biome. While it’s listed that these feature steeper cliffs than other Mesa biome variations, that’s not gonna make it much easier to spot, so be sure to keep your F3 menu open. Next up is the Mega Spruce Taiga biome, a variation of the already uncommon Mega Taiga biome. If you find a Mega Taiga biome that features a high density of shorter and thicker trees than you’d expect, then there’s a good chance that you found this one. And last up, but certainly not least, The Ice Plains Spikes biome. If you don’t know how to spot this one, please, please see an eye doctor. Unless you’re blind. In which case, why are you listening to a video about visuals in Minecraft? You guys are weird. And that just about covers the rarest biomes in Minecraft. If you enjoyed this video, please leave a like on it before you go. Because it would really help myself, the channel and the video quite a lot. So I hope you all enjoyed. My name is AntVenom, and I bid you all farewell. Thanks so much for watching. Video Information
