Hello i’m mpx toy cad and welcome back an episode of the minecraft bedrock update adventures let’s play and you know what i think i’ve learned a big lesson in minecraft recently and that big lesson has always set up many bases when you start a big project so at time Of recording for example i’m about to start a big ocean drain project and although i could just come here and work on it and then come back to my base every single time i think what is a much smarter idea is to bring some resources with me but also for instance i’m gonna Need a lot of sponges that are going to need some drying so i could set up a never portal or much better you know the portable base concept we could instead do something much more like this and have a couple of auto furnaces working their magic so we place a couple of Furnaces down then we take some of uh you know our wood and we make that into stuff and then because we’re fancy we make this just a little bit more automatic wow look how easy and simple all of this is and then boom we’ve got ourselves a way to automatically auto Magically i’ll even say um turn actually not do we even need the chest on top of the hopper i don’t think we do but we can automatically turn our sponges into better stuff then you know what actually i could do with a little bit of extra chest space we’ll place one of those Down right over here and boom this is my perfect uh setup except you know it needs to look a little bit better right okay there we go look how beautiful uh this is except you know it’s not really beautiful yet is it because what we need is some decoration blocks so we know Exactly uh what’s going on right here and you know how better to explain it than some blue stained glass so i guess we’ll just turn like this area right here into a 3×3 but slightly offset stained glass grid there we go look at that isn’t that beautiful and then we Add a couple of pistons over here so that it looks like it’s more complex redstone than it actually is and people go wow i didn’t even realize you could you could do that with your redstone and there we go boom we have a miniature base set up to drain the ocean which is Going to happen over the next few hours in real time but it’s gonna happen instantly for you dear let’s play watcher and just like that two and a half short hours later we have ourselves a little section of drained ocean and it also helps you to realize how the ocean Works where it like actually goes a little bit deeper down but you know what’s really cool the fact that we can’t just do this once in one let’s play episode where you get to see two and a half hours worth of progress in seconds but you know what we can do we Can totally stand right over here on my lovely blue glass which now looks ridiculous and we can do it again because i’m gonna be spending even more time draining it and here is what it looks like another two and a half hours later as you can see even more ocean is drained actually It’s kind of hard to see the difference you you can’t see two and a half hours worth of minecraft work but if you want to watch the stream you can see it there and also because the project must go on i’ll be continuing this over the next Week so make sure to tune in some live streams to see cat drain in ocean live and spin a wheel and all the other fun things but today i figured you know what geranium ocean is fun and all but i figured you know what given that i have this perfect opportunity because you Know what’s the cause behind ocean levels uh changing their uh height in the real world something something climate change my right and given i have this oil drilling platform that i’ve built right here a long time ago anyway wouldn’t it be perfect if i combined This uh you know somehow if i gave an in minecraft world explanation as to why the ocean was drained i figured that would be a lot of fun okay you get a much better view of it from back here it’s an oil rig and all drilling platform whatever we’re going to call it Basically this is the reason that the ocean is going to be all messed up climate change and the environment being destroyed it’s all the fault of big oil am i right what a bold controversial opinion and so i could show that in universe by maybe putting some coal Blocks down because coal is kind of like oil it’s the closest thing we have in minecraft but rather let’s do something a lot more minecrafty and let’s make a giant pipeline that could maybe be used to situate some lava and so here is my plan for today right i mean glass is an Easy enough resource to come by however if i want to make some you know maybe some black or some purple or some fun colored glass i’m going to need to get myself some dyes and black is one of the hardest dyes to get in large quantities Assuming you don’t have a squid farm and so we have some wither roses and we have a lot of bone meal and we’re going to turn that into a lot of black dye using my favorite technique i don’t know if this cow wants me to leave home but i Guess i have no choice i’ll just uh squeeze past you actually would you like to live in the house it’s pretty unfair that i live in the house all the time and the cows live in a giant pit so let’s let’s move in the cow Shall we maybe i’m so confused as to why the cow is like stuck there like kind of sliding from left to right but unable to get in you’re not he really wants to take me up on the sofa but just cannot and that’s so sad Okay it hurts to do but we’ll widen the entrance a little bit and that should solve our problems i want to say maybe there we go look at that and now i have a house cow as well as the outside cows because i care about being humane you Know isn’t interesting the word humane which is how we describe being good to animals you know it refers to humans right and it’s like well is it being humane if we do it to animals and the answer is actually yes but it it feels wrong anyway so what i’m going to do is I’m going to dig a little hole in the ground going to place a flower in then i’m going to place some bone mill and voila wait huh can you not burn all these flowers today i learned maybe we can bow mill them if they’re on the surface nope you cannot grow The wither flowers well you know there goes my genius idea okay so i’ve got this new revolutionary idea instead i’m going to use the wither rose as a way to poison myself because who doesn’t want to get poisoned every now and then and then i’m instead going To use my lovely reserves of squid ink where did the cow go by the way i he was just around here somewhere i want well you know i had a cow and now i don’t have a cow how sad but uh yeah instead i do fortunately have some ink sacs they Don’t stack it’s very strange i don’t know why one of those mysteries of minecraft in my opinion like why why why do these things not combine together but i’m going to take 64 ink sacks and that should be just about a good enough equivalent and so we grab ourselves the Shulker box full of glass we grab some ink sacs we find some goats on top of the end stone cube that’s something i wouldn’t have expected but i guess fun fact you should be able to die goats that is my new genius idea i mean what Else can you do of these fellas right what else what else can you do of them i mean i just don’t see anything else that you could do of the goats you know there’s just there’s just no way also he’s gone forever now anyway speaking of Gone forever so as you can see this ocean will be soon in that exact same state and i figure you know what we have to do we have to take our glass and we have to take our uh lovely uh black ink sacs and we’re gonna Combine them together i think we need a crafting table to do that you’re not just because it’s a nine item recipe to craft doesn’t mean it should need a crafting table this is very annoying look how far i have to go just to craft things people always say like toy cat You have too many crafting tables but if i have to use a firework just to make some crafting happen maybe it’s not me that’s in the wrong oh my god you can craft eight snacks at once well let’s hope we like the color black because i’m very invested into it now um So yeah the idea is it’s gonna look kind of like an oil pipeline but to be a little bit more fun it’s gonna have some laverin and also yeah you know the problem with glow squids is i see them so much more often than regular squids Now and it’s like but i i want the regular ink sacks i don’t need many of them i just need a few of them i’ve got all this glowing and i’ve got no idea what to do with any of it i speak of things i don’t know what i’m going to do With i don’t know where this exit should come in should it start in the middle of the pipeline so you can like jump into it or should it just start in the seabed underneath it i’m gonna say it should start underneath this thing which means we have to get the middle point uh Pretty exact so let’s go do that right now okay this is probably the midpoint or maybe this is probably the midpoint you know okay that that’s gonna be the midpoint and oh god there’s a skeleton here okay so then that has to probably be the midpoint wait if there’s There’s six t’s on that side so in the middle of this is the midpoint just right here and then there’s five t’s on that side so indeed this is the middle point probably this this is like 80 percent likely to be the middle point so we break down from here And we hit another layer we find a crafting table here and then we break down another block and so i guess we’ll start with the uh the main part of the tunnel or smaller than the rest intends to be because this is just the draining tunnel whatever else you know can you See my lack of oil experience here the great thing about minecraft is you can have as much or as little experience with what you’re building as you like and you’re you’re building some fictionalized version of it so it’s fine so is this going to line up correctly Let’s hope it does because we’ll be embarrassing otherwise right anyway um but yeah i uh something something i’ve been thinking about a lot recently is like story lines in minecraft and oh god this is not correct we have to move everything a few blocks away i think Oh maybe we don’t no that we we do no we don’t yeah we do no you’re not okay what do you do in this situation internet do you replace all the blocks you just placed or do you say that actually you were going for off center in the first place I i don’t like that i’m going the breaking route i felt like it would be much easier to be like no actually i wanted it to be off central along that was actually all that’s always my plan i’ve always been saying i’ve wanted an off-center uh access It would be a lot less painful if i just went with that sometimes it’s easy to just go with things i find okay here we are we did it rather than changing my goal so that it matched the objectives i changed my objectives so they would match the goal and uh you Know i uh so this last week i uh you know as you all know this is the let’s play it’s not just a weekly update what’s going on in minecraft but also as well as in life the universe and everything in between because i don’t have a vlog style series it’s the the Closest replacement so you can know what’s going on in the toycat world and uh yeah in the last uh you know week i uh i think it was literally a week ago i fail i i so in the uk we have two parts to a driving uh license you have to do a Theory test i mean you theoretically do at least and then you have to do a practical test and uh so i had to do the ferry test so that i could eventually do the practical a test and then eventually be allowed to drive a car how wonderful And so um i i failed it the first time by one mark and that’s such an interesting like confidence boost constant’s hit really right for most people of like oh i failed the test i’m i’m never going to be able to pass now but i had the exact opposite reaction i Was like wow if i can fail by one mark that means that i’m within the margin of error if like if i took this test another 10 times i probably would have passed it at some point like i think a lot of people don’t realize the variance in everything in life including their Abilities right uh not only uh is it that like you know if you let’s say you’re doing an english test right english is a language you probably speak if you’re watching this video if you’re doing an english test there are lots of things that you do know about english There are lots of things you don’t know about english that hopefully isn’t surprising to anyone but the interesting thing about it is that there are lots of things uh that you know you’d be able to answer correctly if they came up on a test and lots of Things you wouldn’t be able to you don’t know what’s going to come up and test ahead of time and so there’s a kind of random element of every single test as to which questions come up and how well you can answer those particular ones okay we’re now going to have another Giant tunnel kind of pop out from here this is going to be much bigger than that that was kind of like the the entryway tunnel this will be the main tunnel that will just go all the way away from the oil rig so i guess it should go like I don’t know like three blocks wide and then maybe a little side and then three blocks along here maybe does that sound good and then down there and then three blocks down and then this this is this is the most basic type of tunnel but i think it’s the most Important type if you’re trying to uh use a reasonable amount of resources and also the pipe has to be like believable right i think in real life most pipelines are made from uh you know solid materials where you can’t see through them uh but you know actually do you know a fun fact Pipelines are very very very very common like somewhere near your house right now you can look up the rough positions for building purposes you probably have a pipeline somewhere in your house supplying gas if not electric you know supplying something where it’s like oh There’s a lot of money to be made if you could circumvent that pipeline and the way the entire way most of them seem to work is like security by um obscurity it’s like if people don’t know about the thing they’re not gonna think to try and break into it and so we Don’t have problems with people stealing our gas or stealing our electricity or whatever else um wait this is incorrect right you know i kind of like it this way though okay you know this is me should i change my objectives to meet my goal or should i change my goal to meet my Objectives i have accidentally made things a little challenging for myself here but i really like this i feel like it has this almost like pipe like effect instead of being a circular cylinder it’s more of a again a pipe pipes are slightly longer than they are tool for Some reason same with wires you know i’m sticking with it you’re not i i’ve made a great decision by making a mistake right there because i can’t count blocks it seems wait did i even how did i even manage you’re not not going to think about it But what i am going to think about is uh so yeah i passed my uh my fury drive test very exciting thank you for the for the imaginary praise i’d like to say that you’re giving me but um there’s something about um the next phase effects a lot of people Asking like so yeah you know you’re gonna fully learn to drive now toy cat now that you can uh right yeah i’ve got all the theory down i just have to have someone drive me around in a car or have have me drive someone around a car and Prove that i can do it safely or whatever and it’s interesting because um my intention is not to drive in the uk all because in the uk we kind of are actively hostile to what in london i should say it’s a city that is like actively hostile towards people Learning to drive it is like it is the city that you do not need to drive in if you’re driving it’s because you have a a job that requires it or you’re driving because you know you value driving over convenience and cost like you’re you know you’re making a or you’re going Outside of london a lot in which case uh again maybe it makes some economical sense but otherwise it’s like a almost a luxury in a big city uh to choose to drive or you know you could go the other way and be like it’s just a it’s just a Bad decision it’s not it’s not a smart thing that you would choose to do and um so given that it’s not a smart thing that you would choose to do you know to drive um in the city it’s a very very very hard to learn not only is it like a Really complex set of rules but also it’s incredibly expensive and so my plan um because i have a year that i can now pass the real test otherwise my my theory expires is i’m gonna go uh somewhere else uh in the uk where it’s very very easy to pass because Interestingly london has one of the lowest pass rates but people driving their cars some of that you could chalk down to demographics you know people being you know like uh maybe maybe not fully preparing or like trying to skimp on the lessons and then just going right Into it and giving it the best shot sure you could maybe argue something like that but i think the much bigger thing is that like yeah driving in a city everyone will say is harder than driving in not a city and so uh yeah i’m gonna be i’m gonna be learning to drive Somewhere else it’s gonna be exciting but there’s a central thing about um because i think about this a lot like um so london is a very hard to drive in and some people are like yeah that’s great i love that it’s the one part of the uk with good um you know But good accessible transport infrastructure and some people say wait so just to try and encourage more people to use the tube to encourage more people to use buses they actively make it harder for you not to that’s kind of messed up you know like it uh that you Know like shouldn’t they be letting people choose what they want to do and uh ultimately um there is this interesting thing because i i’ve been thinking about uh climate change some amount right like it’s a it’s a have you have you heard about this climate change thing fellas i i certainly hadn’t until Recently you know i you’d figure people would be caring more about it anyway um so uh if you’ve heard about this whole uh climate change i think that’s what they’re calling it these days um but if you’ve heard about this whole crazy thing um supposedly again you know as This i’m just i’m just going off what i’ve heard supposedly uh man-made actions might be causing the planet to warm up and so you know there’s the the question is then like what if once you do reach that conclusion it’s like well then how do you fix a humanity-wide problem uh without Humanity-wide solutions also how is it always so much darker when you’re not in the water than when you are look how beautiful and blue my screen is and look how sad and dark it is i’m gonna have to get lava in now just so i can light up While i’m doing this because i don’t want to work in the dark minecraft without light is like um you know toast without jam or uh a cheese sandwich without cheese side note you’re not cheese sandwiches uh there’s so many like weird british sandwich things i’m like oh yeah that is Terrible that there’s a reason no one would go for that you know the jam sandwich is a classic one but like you know i hey something something i’ve come to realize tell me if you uh this is one of my controversial opinions is that almost every Good unique thing about a place if it’s not widely known about elsewhere it’s probably not that great like the toast sandwich have you heard of it some of you are saying yes but most of you probably saying no what’s the toast sandwich two slices of bread and then Some toast why are there goats spawning all over my world today what did i what did i do to deserve them but um oh yes i’m gonna go get some lava by the way um and i’m gonna i’m actually gonna set up a little lava farm because i’m Doing so much draining of the ocean anyway i might as well have a lava farm just for that before even thinking about the uh the fact that i’m filling up a giant tube under the sea with some lava so we’re gonna see how much uh drip stone has grown in this time A whopping two man you know what my my drip stone is just very inefficient overall it seems it it i do not know how to farm this thing effectively actually maybe yeah maybe the automatic farm has gone somewhere in that time because i i can’t make a farm walk with Two trips down i hate to say it yeah no i’ve got i’ve got two drips done oh actually this is this is like a third one right there we go so i’ll just use free drip stone to make lava and then i’ll just grab a ton of buckets manually otherwise yep This is functional this is fine okay let’s do this then i’ve got myself three cauldrons then we put some drip stone just above that and then we have a lava layer just above that so uh shall i use stone or should i use black stained glass you know i could use Wood that’s a terrible idea i’m gonna use some black stained glass so just like this this is where all the all the drip stone will come off my my ludicrous amount of drip stone i mean can you believe how much drip stone i have here i mean i i Don’t think you can but one two three and then all we have to do is stop the lava from spilling over and destroying everything which is easier said than done sometimes but just like this and there we go nice and easy we have ourselves an easy Doable way to make infinite lava i mean a very small amount of infinite lava you you know is there such thing as a very small amount of infinite lava is a is a good question for another day is this a mess it definitely is but if i’m okay oh i knew that would Happen i always it always happens that way but i still let it if only there was some water around i could put myself out on but there’s not and boom just like that we have some lava dripping in some cauldrons this one’s okay there we go and eventually that becomes more lava But in the meantime we’re gonna use the love we do have to at least get light so we can actually sponge up what we’re doing because uh yeah placing it’s really interesting because of the light mechanics and water and like the weird way they’re trying to make underwater Not this daunting place um you are in a lot of places better off underwater especially um post 1.18 like there’s gonna be a lot of underwater cases is that even the right word there’s gonna be a lot of caves that are submerged in water maybe it’s the correct set of words Um but there are there’s gonna be a lot of caves that are fully submersed submersed is that a word you know are any words real when you really get down to it you know are any words actually real or are they all made up things that we use Because we’re just we’re just trying to convey meaning in a world where we increasingly don’t understand ourselves maybe maybe it’s that one who knows for sure all i know is that we can now officially remove this i should just place lava all the way from up there and then it can spill down Here a lot easier that is a smart idea thank you thank you me for complimenting my idea okay so we’ll just remove as much of this as we can and then we’ll fly up and we’ll do it that way also another thing i have to do because when i built this however many Years ago i just i didn’t bother with stone going all the way down to the ground because i figured who’s going to look at it but the answer is me i’m going to look at it and so yeah i have to uh fix fix that up and work on that It’s going to be great so let’s fly up and let’s let’s do a thing but yeah i uh i think about this a lot the idea that like uh you know i live in a city that is very you know i i’m lucky because i i I don’t have an intention to drive a car um if i live anywhere where i get to not i like i know a lot of people have very strong opinions the other way about this but it’s like i love if it takes 20 minutes to drive or 20 minutes to you Know catch up a train and the train is regular so it’s not actually 20 minutes plus wait 20 minutes for a train because that’s slower um something i’m always a big fan of it’s like yeah you can do whatever you want when you’re on a bus train whatever public transport whereas when you’re Um obviously uh like driving a car as as i’ve learned from my driving fury test you’re not even meant to be browsing your phone you know you supposedly according to my test only at stoplights and uh you know if you think the road is safe should you be Browsing uh twitter while driving and that was a shock to me i i didn’t realize someone’s gonna be mad now because they think i’m not joking about uh browsing twitter at stoplights we don’t even have stop lights in the uk i guess stop sign no actually you’re not Wait there are some stop signs in the uk they’re not common but we do have them so you’re not that joke that joke totally translates you’re welcome uh american internet but yeah yeah so we’re going to light up the world of some lava and we’ll fix the problems it creates Later just like the climate change industry am i right yeah but no so um the thing that ties together this like uh the strive to make people not drive uh in a city and this uh drive to like make the planet not heat up or not Change by as much as we we theorize and fear that it might do is that like um ultimately in life you cannot ever truly no one can tell you what you can and cannot do and that really does work you might think like well society tells me not to murder When i don’t do that so i guess they can kind of you know tell me what i cannot do in that way even then though i feel like it’s like you know most people wouldn’t choose to murder anyway the reason you don’t choose to murder extra because it’s illegal is Cause like ah going to prison is a lot of work when i’m mad about when i’m mad at someone i don’t even think like oh i’d be so glad if they’re dead because i think oh yeah but i i wouldn’t be glad being in prison at least that’s that’s the theory Behind the system and so the ultimate uh you know those are the ultimate incentives like we will take away every joy in your life if you do particularly bad things but we also have much smaller incentive schemes that we do every single day of stuff like hey um if you Uh for instance if you eat uh unhealthy food uh sometimes there is a tax applied actually i think it’s unhealthy food in the uk it’s like hot food versus cold food which you know there’s nothing inherently healthy about cold food but whatever we for some reason assume there Is so cold food is tax-free hot food in the uk is uh taxable there’s a really fun case um involving greg’s because um if you don’t know craig’s it’s a big bakery chain in the uk there’s a really fun case involving them because they argue they don’t sell hot food they sell Food that happens to be hot and they actually won their case because you can’t bake a you know like a sausage roll or a steak pasty without it being hot when you first put it out there and it’s not your responsibility to cool it down to make it cold food it’s just you Can’t actively be making it hot so they make it hot and they they they keep it vaguely hot for a while but they don’t specifically reheat it ever and so yeah there you go fun fact uh food at greg’s is uh it’s tax-free because of the fact that Uh it is technically not hot food it is food that happens to be hot and that’s that’s my i love when people like engineer and lawyer the rules like that like you know well whenever we try to change people’s behaviors a few people are just like actually what if i just Got really good at altering the rules so i didn’t have to change my behavior and it’s like whatev whatever as long as as long as it you know as long as most people follow the rules i guess that’s fine but it’s interesting because we have this um You know we’re working out as a society like what what attitude should we have to fix maybe bigger problems in the world right i don’t know how i’m going to take this around a corner by the way i guess everything just moves to the right all of a sudden So if i just start building there and this could go like around like that and then this could is this gonna work is this is this like too too right angular uh a build should i be going in more gradual you know i shouldn’t be you’re not 90 degree angles are famously very good when you’ve got um things that you don’t want to ruin and so this is a very smart move but you know what would make it smarter if we had some light because i can’t see if only there was a light at the end of the Tunnel the good news is there is and so yeah we’ll just we’ll fill those in every now and then keep the area just a little bit more toasty and there we go we’re building a lovely oil pipeline in minecraft you know i can’t destroy the real world anymore because we’ve already Done such a good job but i can destroy the minecraft world and norm will stop me but um it’s interesting because we do this as like a society like sometimes we have you know again like to encourage you not to eat hot food it’s 20 more expensive a lot of people don’t care About that and they just eat whatever food they eat and sometimes it’s more expensive and has high tax and sometimes it’s less expensive and has uh less tax but it’s still it’s it’s interesting because it’s like the the idea there am i entirely out of a black glass You’re not the good news is i have four more planks i can make a crafting table you know i’ve always needed a crafting table here on the ocean floor so let’s place one there let’s make a few more black stained glass and there we go we can just Sustain ourselves by as we place the glass kill any squid that we find there by us and hope that eventually uh that sustains things but yeah i um i oh man so yeah going the long way around this is gonna be a lot more resource intensive but it’s fine we’re Getting the 90 degree angle done which is cool this is a real plumbing maneuver i want to say maybe that was a smart place to put that huh um oh look at look at the big salmon they’re jealous of my pipeline we can all see it should we Just go on a squid killing expedition or should i start placing the stone for the bump of these towers right now because i i want to fill this with lava as much as the next person but i i am very very aware of the fact that like this is my Last lava bucket and it’s not looking particularly full from the previous ones yet so i guess i’ve got a okay let’s let’s let’s just run through this okay it pains me that’s fine is it gonna pay me again it’s gonna pain me again and now we can just uh specifically Remove the sand that is visible and that should solve most of our problems in the world there we go nice and do the same over there do the same here make this hole a little bit wider not all the way wider oh my god i’m today is just the fire episode you know I i i did tell you it would be a fire episode of the let’s play i’m hoping i told you at some point on social media it’d be a fire episode because then this moment right here would be a great reference who knows if i remember to do that though i uh I have really bad memory and i but like actually you know i i’m gonna i’m gonna correct myself there i have really bad memories what people tell me and even though i think there is definitely some large truth to that i think what’s actually far more true is i Just have a really bad prioritization of memory like people will tell you non-stop all day every day things that they believe are important for you to remember and in reality most those things sure they might have some importance but like you know i would rather remember um what’s what’s a dumb thing i’ve Learned today um today i learned about um the the capital of uh you know ethiopia is addis ababa is it you know i don’t know the capital of epiopia because i instead remember that um you know if there’s sheep on the road then you’ve gotta you’ve gotta you know Pause or at least quiet your engines let them cross i i remember very distinctly um that i you know i stood test today where to see like hazards on the road and so there were some cats on the road and i had to click the screen as quickly As i could to show that i would slow down if i saw cats on the road it’s like you know what that that took a lot of like mental brain space and sure it’s wonderful when i save someone’s cat eventually except you not actually not a bad example because like that actually You know there are cats in america but there’s there’s a lot of road signs i to learn that i’m never gonna have to uh use because they assume you know there’s this assumption that anyone who learns to drive in the uk is learning to arrive in the uk Because they want to do their primary driving inside the country and it’s like no the you’ve spent all this time making it so that you wouldn’t want to drive in the city that i live so can we just admit i’m not i’m not learning to drive Because i intend to do it here and learn to drive because there are places where driving is the norm in fact the majority of the world is describable that way right also this is very intense the crazy thing about the aquatic update or minecraft bedrock more specifically is uh pretty much regardless of What you do if you go in water at any point you get these beautiful aquatic tracks playing i mean i don’t dislike them it’s just a very different like it effectively means minecraft bedrock has a different soundtrack if you even touch water and i i don’t know how i feel about that Okay i’ve decided i’m just gonna take another 64 ink and if that doesn’t get it done then it will never get done but it will get it done because i i know i believe in myself it’s going to be great anyway let’s head back to the ocean Let’s re-up on that glass we’re really going to use most of the shulker box of glass just to make this work today but that’s fine that is a normal amount of glass to use let’s go to the bottom of the ocean so we can actually craft it up By the way i mentioned this in my streams and i might have mentioned it last week too but just one of the biggest quality of life changes was putting uh the respiration free on this helmet now i can breathe underwater for a much more logical amount of time and So since i’ve been doing some underwater builds and in fact i don’t know why it’s been coincidentally like my last two projects have both been underwater but i’ve been doing some underwater builds it’s not even like we just had a water update you know we we had a never update And then we just had arguably a caves update and we’re about to have another cave cliff update you know what let’s not think about too hard why people do the things they do because i uh you know what i think about a lot like as a Society we work out actions we do and don’t like you know the obvious example is like we would prefer people not throw what like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere maybe maybe other things too you know there there are things we would like not in the atmosphere you know it’s It’s very picky of us to be that way but we’re like that we’re like yeah we prefer that you don’t do this thing but it’s you know like you don’t just have the right to be like yeah we would just like to tell these people no Just can they can they stop oh we’re gonna make some stone over here i think um uh yeah there we go cobblestone love to see it um it’s interesting because like you know some people do have this like instinctive thing of like can’t console just tell them but we we’ve always Operated society in this model of like you know as little as possible as much as possible you should be governing yourself you know like you once you turn 18 even lower in some jurisdictions or maybe higher in some it’s like yeah you’re mostly responsible for yourself When you get really really out of line we bring someone in but we prefer not to it’s a lot of hassle so just like do do things the way you want to do things um and so like then then if you do need to shake behavior because people by default Do some very unsavory things uh it’s like the two easy things right the carrot and there’s the stick the the carrot could be um you know like ooh there is uh uh there’s for instance um there’s certain areas like you know i uh the health insurance that i uh almost Signed up for it i i’ve spoken about health insurance in the uk before it confuses a lot of americans but um there’s a health insurance provider almost signed up where it’s like oh yeah well we know that it will save us money if we give you a gym membership so here You go if you hit here’s the thing they even they give an apple watch and if you walk a certain number of uh steps they give you like um you know free tickets to movies or whatever which to me seems like doing the opposite of health benefit maybe they’re trying to you know I to me that’s like more of a marketing thing mixed in with a little bit of benefit but it’s like yeah we would like you to not die because if you die actually dying doesn’t just happen instantly it’s a very long painful process that costs a lot of money so how About just don’t go to the hospital how about eat right drink you know eat you know go do some exercise and drink some water like it it really i you know i think about all the time like uh you know how some things in life seem So hard but are actually so easy because you know or seems so easy but they’re actually so hard like you know drinking two liters of water a day is one of the simplest things you can do to really solve a lot of problems but also like you’re not finding like right now i’ve Got a 500 milliliter bottle of water next to me you know what yeah i have to drink four bottles of water a day to keep things simple or ten glasses or whatever weird measurements people use um but it’s like yeah that’s that’s the simplest thing you can do but it’s also Most complicated you have to actually change your behavior to without thinking or telling yourself to to do the thing and so you could incentivize yourself by being like well um i’m just not gonna have any other drinks in the house uh and so i will get thirsty and i will Drink the thing that quenches first water rather than the bad things that you know make me uh something something bad and so you know that’s like strategy one and then there’s the other way where it’s like okay if i don’t drink two liters of water in a day i will deny Myself some pleasure until i do and usually denying yourself some pleasure doesn’t work because people are really bad at being um you know like hard on themselves because you can feel your own pain in real terms you you know when something bad happens to you you don’t think ah i Probably deserve this for the terrible thing i just did you’re like ow i’m in pain why why does it hurt how do i stop it and um so assumption because like a this like a you know game of like carrot stick like should you incentivize things you want or disincentivize things you Don’t want it’s really interesting because it’s like on a on a multiple person level it’s it’s exactly what people do you know if you think about your school if you think about anything else it’s just what is done i don’t have any more lava should i just Move the lava i do have into the corner that’s a good idea let’s just throw that right over there get a little more color going on that’s a great idea but um it’s interesting because like uh on a personal level i feel like most people are somewhat hypocritical about this There are some things where you’d love songs just tell you how it works and how you know things can be great and there are some things where it’s like actually i’d like my ability to just do whatever i want in this particular given situation um and there’s even you know like uh i Don’t know like they’re they’re i feel like there are particular things that are very annoying to me and where it’s like please whatever you do don’t do that anywhere near me um i i know those are truly examples i you know regular cigarette smoking right not Not the uh you know like vaping smells delightful so so so do many other things but like there is a there is a thing that people choose quite regularly it seems to put into their body and it’s like man not only is that like bad for You but also it smells bad for me i you know i could i could pretend that i care about your health and that’s why i want you to stop smoking these but really it’s like man can you just can you just please not not make such a you know terrible Terrible it’s like you know uh you know like companies that uh you know like drill oil and everything else it’s like you know it’s terrible what you’re doing and the way you’re explaining the environment but really could you just do so in a way that’s like not destroying the environment Not in the environment actually that’s not destroying uh the sustainability and livelihoods of people not even that far down the line you know we could understand if you’re destroying the livelihoods and the ability people to live 500 years from now i i don’t intend To live 500 years i mean i do intend to i don’t think it’s gonna be possible i every every five years i get closer and closer to the realization that like ah yeah i life expectancy is just not is not going high enough anymore i might Live to 100 might live to 110 might get lucky and the singularity might happen but in reality i’m i’m not going to live for 500 years um and uh the closest thing i can do is drink water am i right there we go tie it all together but everyone everyone Has this interesting like almost uh hypocritical nature in them where it’s like you can you know you for instance if someone does something you don’t like you’ll just you know be past aggressive and deny them something it’s like you’re not actually whereas like if you you know the way you treat yourself and The way you treat people is like very inherent differences and i find many of the best people in life are like much harder on themselves than they are enough people that’s like a that’s a trait i found very common uh maybe maybe wrongly sir maybe maybe you find that be something horrific that I’ve said there but i you know i i i i you know i i i tend to find that like some of the people i find the most common ground with are like yeah i i i did this terrible thing no one called me out on it but like i still did The bad thing and it’s not good you know like self self-policing people uh to some extent because um you know ultimately everyone has to have some system of morality some code of conduct that they’re following some some set of rules that guide their decisions in the world And uh having people like govern that themselves rather than do you have to be like uh please could you not um i don’t know what’s what’s a really dumb thing please please can you not steal the food from my cupboards it’s a thing i can Tell you to say sure but also like i’m not happy that i have to tell you um actually you know that’s a funny joke for like that that is a real thing that i had friends um oh you know i had friends do it to other friends in school i don’t think it Ever happened to me i’m i’m quite thankful that it never happened to me but it’s like yeah that is that’s like can you can you can you not do that um there’s and there’s a lot of like genuine things like that where it’s like really you’re doing this has just no one Called you out on this like you know people play games like okay hit here’s an example here’s like like to actually to to be really mad at people for something that like is objectively a big thing but also you know like it’s objectively a small thing i should say but also that everyone Hates them that you should be mentally hating yourself if you do whereas like there’s a really fun game you’re playing it’s like oh yeah so the way this works is you play the game you know uh we all we all do this thing uh let’s let’s just say it’s like um I don’t know truth or dare and it’s like and then zlon’s like dare i dare you to i don’t know lay on the ground just like oh no i’m not gonna do that it’s like oh d are you by saying that you’re you’re making the entire game pointless you’ve Said oh yeah i enjoy what other people do things they don’t enjoy for the benefit of entertainment but as soon as i’m the one taking the the flat care no i don’t like that same with like i don’t know drinking games or whatever else like where someone’s like actually i was Just enjoying everyone else doing this i didn’t think that i would have to get involved this is this has ruined my plans entirely uh speaking of things that were in my plans entirely now what i’m gonna do because um one of the things i worked on in background Gameplay was building this little thing uh that goes underneath my wall honestly having the wall there in the first place is already confusing but we won’t talk about it too much and uh see i’m gonna like uh have this go all the way into there i might even drain this uh to be Honest with you i i haven’t got the plans for it yet it’s all very much a under construction thing um because actually you’re not can i talk about something unrelated to like i think i i find that people who like are good at governing themselves are fun people to Be around and people who don’t understand the concepts are confusing people be around in my personal opinion um but something something i think is interesting is um you know like try to be good for the people around you is a is a interesting interesting human attribute but um so yeah something um Something interesting is i’ve been playing a lot more minecraft for like just like casual i you know i i say sometimes it’s for like background gameplay but honestly i’d be doing it uh anyway it’s been really fun working on these like little side projects and it something i i want To tell you part of the reason why because i i want to like get some work like thoughts off my chest because when you also did i really use up my black stained glass this perfectly my god that’s impressive right also it’s so dark in here should i move Some more lava is that what i have to do if i have to do it i have to do it look look at look see it’s just like it’s weird that it’s so much darker in here than it was out there but that’s not my concern my concern is placing this exact Last block of black stained glass i can’t get over how incredible that is that i have the exact right number of black stained glass can we can we all appreciate that together we have been playing minecraft a lot more background gameplay and something about that that i’ve always fought and i’ve never wanted To say out loud like on the internet because it seems ridiculous but i think it is true is that um the the the background thing gameplay is very important like it’s part of what lures people into minecraft a lot of people it’s the game also look it’s a baby squid bedrock Exclusive but it’s part of what laws people uh you know like makes people want to watch the video like background gameplay is like clearly significantly worked on by the end is important and and especially for those who like watch this channel a lot you know the let’s play world it’d be Ideal if you knew exactly or you knew i was working on something somewhere in the world and so uh yeah if you see some background gameplay from this you’ll be like ah so cat’s been playing some minecraft and also toy cat’s been making little prisons to trap glow squids and it seems And both of those things are in fact true but you know what else is true um i think we did a pretty good job today i think i i know for a fact oh i can’t kill the baby squid i just i literally cannot bring myself to physically do That i made myself a really fun tunnel today as you can see it uh when it’s filled with lava i think this is going to look wonderful but the when it’s filled with lava is kind of a big detail right it’s kind of like a oh How are we going to be able to do that and i like it because we had a minecraft project we started finished in an hour i feel like more i think okay my lesson i’ve been learning from doing ludicrously big projects especially one that i just started here is like having a Endpoint on any project is so important and someone who gets lost and confused and disorganized all the time knowing where the end point is and being able to like properly work on it is a very very very very very handy characteristic in my humble honest opinion is it a humble opinion You know you tell me is is my opinion humble internet also i think i’m laying water in here now oops well if it gets me up this little cliff it gets me off the cliff which means i can then build through to this wall and so by the end Of this video we have a slightly better ocean drainage uh looking situation then we did the start and isn’t that wonderful the answer is yes that is wonderful but um no yeah i enjoyed as always uh hanging out talking about the important things this week about how weird it is that we We sometimes want things and we sometimes want not things but from other people sometimes we only say we want not things rather than saying the real things we want and sometimes we do the opposite but uh and you know i i sometimes feel weird that like i’m Much more of a like you know what would it be nice if everyone was just this way would it be nice if you really could just control everything but ultimately you realize like um there’s too many places where that’s not uh so practical as nice as it would be And especially when it comes to the the bulk of people in a society probably doesn’t work there probably works much better on a smaller scale or maybe it works on no scale you tell me internet for now i’m gonna get back to uh doing some little little background Gameplay stuff and then i’m gonna drain the ocean probably tomorrow on a live
