ThnxCya – Minecraft – The Hunger Games Mod Spotlight (A Minecraft Mod)

Foreign what is going on guys and welcome to another Minecraft mod spotlight and today we are looking at the Hunger Games Mod which is pretty cool from what I’ve seen so far this is currently compatible with Minecraft 1.2.5 but this is one of these very early development stage mods

So expect a lot of cool things from it in the future how this video is going to work is part one I’m actually going to show you the Hunger Games in action and then after that we’re going to have a look at some of the items in a little

Bit more detail so how it all works is when you have the mod installed all you need to do is come into your Minecraft and create a brand new world and you will notice that when you spawn in you will already have an item in your hand

And it looks a bit like this here and it says Let The Hunger Games begin and I’m going to call this The Hunger Games token because that’s kind of what it looks like and um this is the item that you will need in order to start the

Hunger Games you will also notice that these trees will randomly spawn their really big long high trees that is part of the mod pack as well also you need to have it on anything apart from peaceful because obviously if you’re in peaceful it really won’t work um yeah so

Basically when you’re ready all you need to do is right click and you will open the Hunger Games setup menu uh the Border radius here is how many blocks worth so 128 by 28 at the moment but how big the play Arena you want um the Cornucopia here you can change it

From gold to Silver and the corner copper is the kind of central Hub of where you get items from and it is very close to the spawn at all times and you can choose to have allies on or off because obviously as in single player

This is a MPC driven mod you also have lightning attacks which come down from the sky and they could randomly attack areas of ground to try and kill players so once you’ve decided all of these all you need to do is click on start and it will start counting down in the bottom

Left for 60 seconds so once that time’s elapsed The Hunger Games will begin but it does take a little while so I’m going to cut it here and I’m going to join you when it is a bit closer to commencing okay guys you’ll notice now there is 10

Seconds remaining until the Hunger Games begin what you will see when that time is finished is the screen will freeze for about half a second for everything to generate and then you will see a mad Scramble with you and NPCs trying to attack and kill each other so once it’s

Generated boom we have spawned on top of the Cornucopia here on a platform and as you’ll see there are lots of other players which will try and kill each other so the first thing we’re going to do is try and get some weapons so fortunately we’re quite close to the

Cornucopia at the moment so we can go inside what I will show you here is in these things these blocks here you can actually right click them to get some items and hopefully we’re going to get a weapon out of one of them I think we

Have oh my God see this guy’s coming to try and attack us here and we don’t have a um a sword of any sort so I’m going to try and beat him down with a bone which might work I don’t know but come on die yes okay now now we’ve got his sword

Which is kind of good so we’re going to put that on a Hotbar and yeah I’m going to try and resist the urge to play this but basically it’s just a mad scramble to become the victor of the survival of the survival means what am I talking

About of The Hunger Games and if you kill everybody you will become that Victor basically so it’s a scramble to try and find people in the woods to try and locate them and every time you kill them you get some points and they also kill each other as well as the lightning

Will come down from the sky so as you can see here anyway Ambush the sky and take him down a lightning bolt nearly hit me then so you can hear it in the background probably so yeah this is The Hunger Games mod and it’s a lot of fun but obviously this is

Very very early development stages I think they can sort out and make it much much better in the future and yeah that lightning bolt can I try and see a lightning bolt for you ow it hit me it’s somewhere up there as you can see the

Sky oh my God there we go that’s a good thing so yeah anyway this is essentially what the mod is um I’m gonna meet you guys in a second to show you some of the items that can be found within so yeah see you guys in a sec

What is up guys and once again peace is restored to Minecraft year and The Hunger Games is over for one more year so what better time than to have a look at some of the items within the mod pack so let’s start off with the boring stuff

Here we have the Cornucopia blocks the gold the silver the black and the metallic kind of color as well as you also have the arena force field which looks like some kind of glass texture but we also have the fire trap we have the plate and we have the Cornucopia

Mine and there are actually land mines and fire traps within the arena that do get generated which are there purely to do damage to you so if we go into just two here we have some general items we have the night lock berries and the nightlock sapling

Which can be found and you can eat these although they will inflict poison damage obviously that’s a big part of the book as well as also the Mockingjay pen which is an important symbol of the book uh we also have the Mind Toggler here which

Can be used to turn on and off landmines you just have to put it in your hand and left click it or right click it one of the two and here we have the Let The Hunger Games begin token which is used to initiate the Hunger Games uh so if we

Move into chest three here we have some very important items which all are very useful when you’re actually playing The Hunger Games themselves we have the sponsor package we have the Cornucopia pack and we have the supply chests so if we hot bar all of these I will show you

Them one by one um we’ll start off with this one here which we saw earlier this is the Cornucopia pack and these are inside that Cornucopia over there in gold and as you saw when we right click them and they do give you an item although you

Can also put items back into them if you have them in your hand for example you can right click them and keep them in there and then just pop them out again so this thing here is the sponsor package and these randomly get given to you when you are playing The Hunger

Games and although it didn’t actually happen to me in the video you saw before this does happen uh in some random times and occasions so you’ll get this all you need to do is pop it down and you can just left click it and it will give you

Some items although in this circumstance we can only do it when the Hunger Games is actually happening um but also similarly to that you have the supply chests which do get given to you and these are in levels one to five and all you need to do is put it down on

The ground and for example if you can see this is a level three chest this is a level two chest and this is a level four chest so if you go into the two you can see that we just have a stone sword a bone and an apple and we also have in

The level three chest a spear and a knife and a boat we’ll get to lose in a second and then the level 4 chest we have some diamond helmet and armor and iron boots and some apples we also have a level five chest but I don’t know there we go that’s lucky

Um in the level five chest it’s it’s the best one basically we have some clocks a low Divine ingots a load of golden apples and some food Etc you can also get weapons and stuff they’re just there to kind of help you with supplies so yeah we’re going to the final chest

Now and we already saw a few of the weapons there isn’t too many at the moment but we have caints’s bow or Katniss’s bow obviously she’s one of the main characters of it she’s very good with the bow although personally I think Legolas from Lord of the Rings is still

A better shot than her um and we also have the knife and the spear so the knife is similar to a dagger it’s a little stubby fella you can also throw it and the spear also is very similar if I can get it on my hot

Bar which one is it oh God there we go this is the spear you can stab with that and you can also throw it um so yeah that’s it for the Minecraft mod spotlight for The Hunger Games Mod as I said this is in early stages of

Development so it should be really good when they put a bit more time into it and this is also a mod that I believe might be compatible with multiplayer so this would be really cool to play with your friends as well as play on a server
