Tier List of all Minecraft 1.19: The Wild Update Changes

Let’s talk about Minecraft updates and because this is 2021 we’re going to be doing that through the use of a tier list because this is how we communicate now yesterday we all got to watch the Minecraft live 2021 show and a bunch of very interesting features were announced for the up-and-coming Minecraft updates

So today I’m going to give my opinions on them do a little bit of ranking and just generally have a bit of an Atta Lush caves now this isn’t actually part of the Wild update in fact a few of these things aren’t part of the Wild update but given they haven’t released

Yet it feels like a good time to mention them we’ve been asking for a cave update for a very long time indeed and the Lush caves are probably my personal favorite so definitely eightier drip Stone caves the drip Stone caves are also incredibly cool but also I’m a complete so

The chances of me dying in these is considerably higher okay so I won’t be able to enjoy them quite as much because I’ll just be scared the whole time that’s why it’s in tier beat mountains now mountains mountains are definitely s tier I mean I just I have wanted

Mountains in Minecraft ever since I started playing the game and it always seemed like something that just belonged in Minecraft since basically the beginning of the game people have been constructing mountains I mean in my latest hermitcraft season I am literally building a mountain so having them implemented in the world generation is

Huge s tears stuff sport blossoms ah pretty cool I guess I mean they’re they’re particle generation is nice when you actually want it but the one thing that I will say is and this is both good and bad the particles go so far away like if you place one spool blossom in

Your base this is now your experience and if you place more than one yeah things get a bit hectic increased World height now this one uh A or B I’m thinking a just because any increase in World height is awesome but it’s an increase in World height downwards which

Is nice I’m not complaining but I do kind of wish that they had coupled it with a 64 block increase in World height upwards as well just so you can get really dramatic with builds the new or generation I’m going to put this in seat here just because mining through deep

Slate is quite frustrating and also I don’t really like change but with that being said having a change to the way that you mine is good because I’ve been playing Minecraft like 11 years now and strip mining is getting boring but Amanda I wish deep slate was instamanable with efficiency 5 and haste

2. so I think that covers a lot of the changes that are being included in part two of the caves and cliffs update all of these changes are now part of the up-and-coming Wild update the mangrove tree I am slightly biased because I have a weird fascination with the mangrove

Tree I just think it’s awesome so this is definitely eight here seeing Mangrove forests in real life is honestly it’s one of my favorite I just think they’re beautiful so I hope to recreate something like that in Minecraft mangrove planks it’s difficult to be upset about new with types but it’s also

Difficult to be too excited about new wood times so I’m putting it in the seat here with that being said it is nice to have another block that blends in well with jungle Woods because this is kind of a unique tone in Minecraft and not

Many things go with it that well I feel like a bunch of Builders are about to punch me so you know what I think I’ll be in a little bit harsh I’m gonna bump it up to beat here the mangrove propagule in its current state I’m going

To put it in seated just because it’s difficult to get too excited about what is essentially a sapling but and I highly doubt this will be the case but if it works like an actual Mangrove Tree in that the propagues grow and then they drop down into the ground and then

Logical leap that I’m excited about not really I mean it’s it’s a cute little mob you know it’s one of those ones that I’ll see once and I’ll be like oh that’s really sweet and then I’ll never make use of the member again mud Bricks now this would

Have been a c tier because as I mentioned earlier I’m not that fussed about them adding more Brown blocks but because of the justification for adding it I’m putting in BT I think the idea of adding more non-european and american-centric building blocks into the game is a super cool initiative and

It’s something that I hope to see more of in the future for example having vibrant painted planks would be fantastic swamps being overhauled in general a tier swamps or pants so seeing them get a huge upgrade is wicked the skulk block this sanction is all about

The deep dark so expect a lot of very high tiers here if I’m right in saying that the skunk block is a generatable block through killing mobs the drop tanks pee when you break it we essentially have a renewable XP source and also essentially like a XP bulk

Storage system like you could generate a bunch of these things and just push them into one big block using a giant piston feed tape and then when you need an XP you could just go over there and start mining it and you would you would get XP

This if I am correct is definitely an S tier Edition the skulk Catalyst also an S tier Edition because this is what allows the skulk blocks to be generatable that causes mob depths to generate skulk blocks it’s just such a cool game mechanic to introduce one that’s incredibly unique the skulk veins

Now look okay I do not want to get too excited about this here and I I could be totally wrong and for that reason I’m putting it in the a tier because it’s cool anyway and I love glow lichen so anything else that’s like glow lichen a

Media a tier but for some reason it just feels to me like this could transmit vibrations through it call me crazy is this is pure speculation no one has mentioned this but it just feels like it so you can have lines of sculpt veins that will then transmit vibrations potentially

Between sculk sensors and the screamers and things it’ll be Wicked and it would be a kind of strange alternative to Redstone and I’m all for it and if that was the case obvious s tier maybe even higher somehow but obviously we don’t know that and this is pure speculation

Still ate it the skulk Shrieker this thing is obviously really really cool but I’m gonna put it in beat here just because I know for a fact that someone on the hermitcraft server is going to put one in my base and scare the pants

Off me outside of that this is an S tier item just because seeing Minecraft going this slightly more scary direction is epic skunk sensors obviously an S tier item I mean come on now Wireless redstone things love it the frame block this is actually a block that I took off

The wiki because I personally didn’t notice it but these were new types of blocks that were being used in the deep dark cities and it looks pretty good so I’m gonna put it in beat here not that we needed a new type of stone brick we’ve got plenty of them but then again

I do really like stone bricks so I’m always happy for new variants the deep dark city couldn’t be much more of an s here to be honest with you I was a tiny bit disappointed to find out that they were pushing back the deep dark stuff

Because I’m so excited for it but then seeing that deep dark city and seeing what they’re doing with it it just it looks so amazing it’s worth the wait and I actually really do applaud Mojang for not putting out a half-baked thing and actually saying to the Minecraft

Community look you know we actually have better ideas for how to implement this so give us some time it’s going to be better it’s funny because the Gaming Community always complains about pushbacks but then equally always complains when something that’s not quite ready gets put out regardless so I

Think Mojang have taken the correct decision here the alley the S tier probably shouldn’t be the most populated category on a tier list but I’m so happy remember I voted for Phantom so take my opinions with a pinch of salt here but I genuinely think the alley presented the

Most unique game mechanics out of any of the three mobs in the mob vote it’s essentially a Minecraft Hopper with an AI and that that could be very interesting in a number of different Redstone systems frogs are pretty cool like any atmospheric mob I like it but it’s nothing groundbreaking Beat It fireflies

I’m actually going to put is she here I think it is difficult because they are really really cool but I just I worry about server performance and things but then in the video they look like particles but then these guys are eating them so I honestly I don’t know tadpoles

I’m also going to put in seat here just because we already have a bunch of fish and they already cause a bunch of issues for servers in terms of performance so adding something else in the water could cause problems but I want to make it very clear I love the idea of there

Being temperate mobs in Minecraft that is super super cool and I think I’m becoming a little bit overly harsh now because our s tier is still going a bit too strong it’s just too much good stuff in this update for example the warden I’m going to put this in two tiers it’s

Going in the Zed tier because I know for a fact that this thing is going to absolutely demolish me but I’m also going to put it in the S tier because it is one of the coolest most unique most terrifying additions to Minecraft I can

Think of it is epic the sound design the way that it moves the end Central game mechanic itself it is a work of art it seriously is and it has me so so excited for exploring the deep dark cities chest boat this one honestly feels like something that would

Be included in an update seven years ago but I actually really happy to see it because I like traveling in boats and the idea of being able to haul your stuff with you in a boat is pretty nice beat it the darkness effect this gets activated in proximity to a skulk

Streaker and it is quite terrifying if we can put this in splash potions well that is gonna be scary but for now I’m gonna put it in beat it on its own it’s actually not that exciting it’ll probably be C or E but coupled with all

Of the deep dark stuff be fallen trees now this wasn’t actually stated but it was in some of the concept art and I believe Bedrock also features Fallen trees I really like these sorts of additions to the realism I’m gonna put it in seat it it’s not it’s not

Groundbreaking it’s not going to completely baffle me or blow me away but I really like it archeology now this was actually mentioned at the previous Minecraft live and then I must admit I haven’t really heard anything about it and it wasn’t really referenced at all during this Minecraft live so it might

Not actually happen but if it does happen I like the game mechanic I’m not that patient so for some people this is like s tier because they love just searching through these areas I’m not about that so that’s why it’s in B tier for me but then the cool parts that you

Can make with the shards well that for me is a tier just because being able to create a custom little statue or ornament in your base that is something that Minecraft is sort of missing a little bit so I’d be very happy to see that which actually brings me on to the

Final section of this video I thought it’d be interesting to actually rate the other mobs in the mob vote just to see where they would end up on this tier list and the first one is the copper Golem which from a redstone perspective wouldn’t really have been particularly

That useful I mean it would have introduced a copper button which could have been interesting but it probably would have behaved the same as other buttons I mean randomizes aren’t exactly difficult to build in Minecraft we have hundreds of different designs and if we want to make a mob base randomizer

Chicken in a pressure plate does more than enough fat from a statue perspective that could have been quite cool like the idea of your little copper Golem freezing up and then having him as a statue in your base would have been quite sweet that would have been cool so for that reason and

Not necessarily the Redstone reason ate it and finally the glare yeah come on now this is dead if I want to know that my cave is dark I’ll just look if it looks dark it’s dark I don’t need a grumpy Bush to tell me that my dark cave is dark of course

I’m being overly facetious but out of the three mobs the glare was definitely the least interesting from my perspective so I am glad to see that it was between the copper Golem and the alley in the end and to be honest with you I would have been satisfied with
