Have you ever wanted more tools and weapons in minecraft tinker’s construct adds new tools new items a new biome new weapons and more but it comes with a bit of a learning curve this video will teach you everything you need to know about getting started with the mod and beyond let’s get started Hello there you’ve just spawned in a new world in order to get started with the mod you’ll need to craft a pattern using wood planks and sticks begin by getting into a vicious fistfight with a tree after you’ve defeated and chopped up your foe into wood planks and sticks you Can now craft a pattern like this congratulations you did as we’ll see the pattern is essential for pretty much everything you will need in tinker’s construct the next thing you’ll need is your workstations that’s right plural as in there are several workstations each with their own purpose Which i’ll explain in a minute for now start by building a part builder and a crafting station then use the crafting station to build the tinker station place them all side by side and you can swap between each station using the tabs without ever needing to exit the Interface once we have that completed it’s finally time to make our first pickaxe to start you’ll need to craft each individual part of the pickaxe at the part builder and you can see what parts you will need by clicking on the different tools at the tinker station The parts will be listed in the bottom right corner over here now that we know what parts we’ll need we can make those parts at the part builder to make each part you will need a pattern and whatever material you will be building with once we have all the parts we can Assemble the tool at the tinker station just place them in the correct slots and you’re ready to go you have your first wooden pickaxe it only took all day but it will never disintegrate in your hands when the durability is out it will just stop working when this happens you can Either repair it by adding more of the ingredient it was made of or you can simply upgrade it by combining it with new materials at the tinker station that’s right you can actually continue to use your day 1 tool into late game no more abandoning your poor wooden Pickaxes alone in the woods to fend for themselves now you can keep it with you forever The mod also adds some new extremely useful early game tools and weapons to the game these are the matic the comma and the dagger the medic can cut down trees create a path and also dig through dirt sand or gravel the comma can hoe dirt harvest and plant with a single Right click sheer sheep and cut leaves the dagger is a short-range weapon with fast attack speed that can be used in either hand when you’ve decided you’re tired of mining with a stone pickaxe it’s time to upgrade to iron however you cannot shape iron at the park builder Station because the material is too hard in order to shape harder materials like iron you need to first melt them down using a melter to make a melter you’ll first need grout grout can be crafted by combining clay gravel and sand you can also craft your next instruction book at this point by Combining grout with a book next place the grout and a furnace to create seared bricks with the seared bricks you will need to craft a heater a melter and a casting table place the melter on top of the heater and the casting table to the side like this you can now place your Iron ore in the melter in order to melt the iron we need a heat source you can use coal wood or lava in the heater after adding a heat source to the heater you will see your iron ore start to melt into molten iron in order to shape it Into the part we want we’ll need to use a casting table and a cast first make a blank sand cast using sand and place it in the casting table now place a wooden version of the part you want to make into the blank cast like this click to Remove the wooden part now you will be left with an imprint of the part you want to make all we need to do now is pour the molten iron into the cast in order to extract the molten iron we’ll need to use a faucet craft a faucet Using seared bricks and place it on the melter like this right click to turn the faucet and the molten iron will pour out into your cast you now have your first iron tool part now you can finish assembling your tool at the tinker station as you progress you’ll notice That the melter is not hot enough to melt all materials in order to progress further you will need to make a smeltery A smeltery can be used to melt stronger oars and even combine some oars into alloys to start out make the new guidebook use the melter to pour seared stone over a book in the casting table next we need to make a smeltery controller first craft a seared brick Basin and a heater place the heater in the seared brick basin and pour four ingots worth of copper onto it when it cools you will have your smeltery controller we are now ready to build the smelter the smell tree needs to be built entirely with seared brick and or its Variants it needs to be at least a three by three by two rectangle the larger you make your smeltery the more contents it can hold place the smeltery controller on the smeltery it will tell you if any blocks are invalid by lining them with red once you can interact with the Smeltery controller interface you know you have a valid working smeltery you can now place oars in the smeltery controller in order to melt the oars you will need a seared brick fuel tank the seared brick fuel tank will only accept liquid fuel types like lava place the Lava in the fuel tank by right-clicking you will now see your oars begin to melt in order to extract the molten materials you will need a seared brick drain and a faucet place a faucet on the drain and a seared brick casting table below place your cast and simply right click on the Faucet to extract the molten materials from the smeltery you can now make casts of stronger metal types like cobalt just a quick note that there are definitely other more complicated and sophisticated ways to design and automate your smeltery with redstone but this is just a super beginner friendly way for those Just starting out it is truly the bare minimum and the basics you can also mix together two or more molten materials in the smeltery to make them even stronger this process is called alloying there are a variety of materials that can be combined together that create new alloys With special properties to see all of the possible combinations i highly highly recommend using jei as it will show you all of the possible combinations and ratios needed to combine materials not all materials will mix together and it can be quite tedious to figure out which ones do and which Ones don’t without the help of jei once you’ve started creating alloys you can now craft your first anvil crafting an anvil will allow you to make even more new tool types with really crazy abilities and effects crafting an anvil can be quite expensive but it is definitely worth it for the new tool Types it provides some of the new tools are the cleaver the broad axe the scythe the excavator the sledgehammer and the vane hammer the cleaver is a high damage slow swinging weapon and it starts with severine 2. this means that this weapon right off the bat has a chance to sever Mob heads just super cool the broad axe is a high efficiency tree topping tool you can destroy a whole tree in one shop and strip a whole tree in one swipe as well the scythe is optimal for harvesting crops leaves hay bales cobwebs and a variety of foliage it has A 3×3 aoe harvesting area it also has aoe attack capabilities the excavator is a three by three aoe digging tool can also create paths and it starts with knockback too the sledgehammer is a 3×3 aoe mining tool this tool also starts with smite 2. the vein hammer is really Useful it can harvest blocks of the same type that are in a single vein with one hit The anvil also allows you to apply stronger upgrades which are kind of like enchantments to your tools for example you can add autosmelt this makes it so mind blocks will drop their smelted variants whenever possible you can even get cooked meat if you kill mobs with it another upgrade is exchanging which Makes it so the block you mine is swapped with the block being held in your off hand this would be super useful if you changed your mind on a material in your build bucketing is an interesting upgrade as well this upgrade makes it so your tool can also act as a Bucket these are just a few examples and there are a lot more as well for you to check out at this point in the progression of the mod i’m sure you feel like you’ve put your blood sweat and tears into your tools well now you can do that literally the Smeltery adds an interesting mechanic known as entity melting melting different entities will give you different materials for example skeletons give milk and zombies give blood you can combine these with other materials to make special alloys such as pick iron pig iron is unique and then it Can be combined with a saddle to make a piggy backpack which allows you to carry mobs around on your head pig iron also has the special property called tasty which lets you take a little nibble of your tools and weapons if you’re getting a little hungry while mining There are a few extra things added by the mod that i haven’t covered yet tinker’s construct adds slime islands which make it much easier to find slime in your world with that slime you can make some fun new gear and recipes such as the slime sling the slime boots and Slime cakes the slime sling which is probably my favorite thing in the whole mod will catapult you into the air in the opposite direction where you fire it be sure to wear your slime boots while you’re using it which will prevent fall damage and give you an extra bounce when You land there are a variety of slime cakes for you to try as well each giving a different effect for example the ender slime cake gives you temporary levitation that’s about it for the overview of this mod i didn’t cover every single thing because there are a Lot but i hope you found this helpful thanks for watching Video Information
