Welcome to the mischief i’m valen and this is tinker’s construct today i’m going to be taking you on a very fast trip through the different tiers that there is for tinker’s construct for 116.5 let’s start out with tier 1 which brings you to carvable materials and Tools this modular tool mod has a lot to offer but as i am trying to keep things a little bit more digestible we’re going to start off with this you’ll just need a whole bunch of wood for the beginning stuff i recommend getting yourself some sort of storage And making a crafting station a crafting station is the same as a crafting table except it will store the crafting ingredients in it when you close the ui it does require a pattern which is something you’ll definitely need a bunch of in order to start so i recommend Making probably a half a stack of these just to get yourself going once you put that down you can access it and it will actually bring open the barrel or the inventory that is neighboring it so you can use this to store whatever ingredients you need as well as pull From them into the crafting station beyond that we’re going to want to make a part builder this is going to help you with making your different tool parts for this mod putting in these patterns you’ll see a whole bunch of different options for what you can start making Your tools out of early on you’re probably only going to have some very basic materials something like wood and you’ll need to choose what these objects are in order to craft them for example i see this as a pickaxe head that looks promising if i click that it then has One here which i can pull out but before pulling this out you might want to know what parts you’re going to need in order to make these tools that’s where the tinker station comes in just by plopping this down here and clicking on it you’ll start to notice that uh these are all Connected this is something that tinkers construct has offered for some time any of the tinker tables as well as a few other options in the example of the crafting station it also includes some kind of inventory next tool next door to it you can just click on the different tabs As an added bonus if you have something in one tab and you click on a tab while hovering with that item it will actually retain it on your mouse pointer and you can bring it over to whatever need you may have but looking over on the screen you Start seeing a lot of different tools and weapons as well as this little anvil option by default the anvil option is selected which is a way of repairing your tools you can feasibly create tools here but why bother when you can just click on the button and make it a little Bit simpler on yourself if i want to make that pickaxe i click the icon and it brings up these options here telling me that we need one pickaxe head one tool handle and one tool binding and all three are missing that’s why they’re highlighted in red so if i go over to The part builder and i start making each of these parts in turn then i go back to the tinker station click back on the icon i can just shift click and they’ll automatically go into those locations making me a wooden pickaxe with special abilities going back to the repair screen i can simply Put this in place and you can see all the different stats on it now you could also see these stats before i pulled it out of the tinker station and it would give you a lot of information before committing to those tool upgrades now as time progresses you’ll be getting access To different options and different abilities perhaps different materials allowing you to upgrade your tool to do so simply make this item put it in place and you can switch out the part that’s missing but as we’re working with a pick i’m going to put this here and you can See the definite changes on the right side you’ll notice that a pick has by default an extra piercing damage by pulling this out you can see it goes back to its previous standing and the modifiers down here change therefore its abilities cultivated is something that allows it to repair more material when It’s damaged piercing is something that picks have inherently which allows you to do damage through armor and stone bound allows your tool to mine faster as it wears out but does less damage each of these have their own descriptions sometimes they’re a bit vague other times they’re very specific but if you Want to upgrade just pull that out and you’ve got yourself a new tool further on if you want to repair a tool i can use stone or wood to repair it depending upon what i want to use because it’s got multiple heads the main head of the tool is what Will end up repairing it unless of course you’ve got special abilities or modifiers that allow it to do so with other materials something you should also be aware of is that if you want to repair your tool you don’t necessarily have to do it in the tinker station you Can make repair kits simply in the part builder of the whatever appropriate material you might have you can use it in the tinker station to repair it or you can simply put it in a crafting grid of your own with a repair kit and you Can then repair it this way if you try to do this with traditional materials it does not let you so you will have to use a repair kit it’s not a loss when you use these it’s actually the equivalent of two of the original material let’s Say i’ve made a couple extra parts that i didn’t really need i suppose i could put them in my inventory access through the crafting station but there’s actually places you can put this as well as some of the materials that you might need for these different items you’ll Notice that i was getting sticks back as i was building wooden tools as a remainder it doesn’t always use up as much as you might have of the material and that gave me some parts back in refund but this is where a part chest will come in handy part chest is made With a little bit more wood and another pattern place it down and it will become part of the structure you now have a tab here for parts but if i click over here i grab these tool bindings which are definitely parts they will stack up to a Quantity of eight per stack if you wanted to make a tinker’s chest just to keep yourself even more organized you can do so with a little bit of lapis as well placing this down and it becoming part of this multi-block that you have access to you can then put materials in There but they will stack only to a maximum of 16. that being made you now have access to multiple different tools and weapons you have your options and i’m going to let you know what those options are so you can better decide what works for you to start with you’ve Got your sword which as you might already be aware you can attack enemies and it will have a sweeping attack for those nearby usually it only does about one damage on neighboring entities that are not the primary target there’s also the bone dagger which is similar to the Sword except it only attacks one entity and you can do it very quickly you’ll notice that it attacks much faster than the sword did now the best part of this is that you can actually put it in your off hand and use another weapon or tool If you want therefore you can just do a whole lot of damage really quickly to an entity using an axe is pretty much just like vanilla it’s good on leaves also good on wood and you can use it to strip wood using a comma you can use it to Till the ground and then of course plant your crops once all those crops are fully grown you can then just right click to automatically harvest and replant those materials you can also use this to harvest items as you would a shear also works on animals a matic is Made for well dirt and wood combination tool you can use it to harvest wood at a slower rate than an axe it also will help you replace a shovel but as an extra bonus if you use it on an entity it also has a good Knockback on it using a pick it is made to well mine up most of your blocks in the world getting yourself ores and better materials it also works to penetrate armor you’ll notice the one on the side there is an armor penetration this is an armored dummy there is some Ranged weaponry in tinker’s construct but as this is currently in alpha state it doesn’t have a lot to work with you have shuriken flint shuriken is usually your entry level here four of them will make four and there’s also quartz shuriken four of these will also make Four you can keep them in stacks of 16 and use them to do about three damage to unarmored targets if you use a quartz shuriken you’ll do about five let’s move on to the next tier this is tier two where you’re going to start creating metals things that you need to melt and Cast in order to use them as tool components in your tinker table setup as this is pretty much restricted to those materials you see here now you do have a few options you’re going to want to make yourself a seared heater or a seared fuel tank of some sort there are Multiple types for your fuel source to get started seared heater is made from seared bricks these are made from grout a lot of seared bricks are going to be needed for this so i recommend you get a whole lot grout is traditionally made from clay sand and gravel putting your Fuel or heat source underneath a seared melter which is made from seared bricks and a seared fuel gauge or ingot gauge depending upon what you’d like to use those are made just with more glass and seared bricks you then have a completed structure it’s actually a multi-block Unit clicking on the bottom you can see that the heater will accept solids for fuel and can get up to about 800 degrees if you decide to go with some kind of fuel tank it uses liquid fuels and typically if you are using lava it will Get you up to about a thousand degrees but you do not have access to alloys with this setup you’ll also need a faucet and some way of casting things a seared casting table and a seared casting basin are going to be very useful to begin we need to know about Casts and how they work usually you don’t always have access to gold when you’re first starting this out if you’re trying to do it early game placing a piece of sand in a crafting table will get you four blank sand casts putting this in a seared casting table Will allow you to start well making casts you should take one of those seared bricks that you likely made from this process and placing it in here and it will create an impression in the sand then you can take whatever material you have in this case i’m going to put in Some gold you can see the gold melting in this process and once it’s complete the ingot itself disappears and turns into a liquid starts filling up you can store up to nine ingots in here and put its different ingredients in the side if you want to melt more than one item you Can but they will not alloy in this area meaning they won’t mix it’ll just stay here ready to melt once this has exited the melter now in this case i’m going to pour one ingot’s worth into this cast and it uses up the cast sand casts are just Temporary ones and you now have a gold ingot you can also use this on oars and gain yourself three extra nuggets per ore that you smelt in a seared melter now let’s go on to the second type of cast one that’s a little bit more permanent by placing down some type of Already carved tool whether it be from wood stone or what have you from your original setup you can then pour over it with some gold there you go and i now have a cast that i can actually pour into on this and it will last forever instead of it just Lasting one use pouring out the remaining stuff those slime balls then quickly melted and i now have a blank gold cast this may or may not be useful at the moment for now you can re-melt it if you do need to if you make a mistake like that some items will actually just Automatically turn into something when poured into a casting table for example iron will make iron bars now that i’ve got some slime in there what point is there in this well we go on to the third type of cast and that’s going to be a composite cast where you place down an Item and it gets coated with this instead of creating a cast it will be absorbed by this material this is one way of making slime wood there you go i now have a slime wood pickaxe head that i can assemble with my tier 1 setup to make a new and better Pick something you should be aware of is that the funnels do respond to a redstone signal so if you have a lever nearby that is currently on it will automatically pour any items that are coming through here or you can turn it off same thing with the the seared casting table you can Actually have it automatically hoppered out by turning on some hopper below so it would go into an output barrel or chest nearby now if you have a good amount of items in here in this case i’ve got one block of iron i can pour it Into a basin and i can make a complete block of that item saving myself a lot of time instead of having to wait for nine ingots to be poured i can pour all of them at once in a block form there is another item that you can make and that Is a cast chest by using that blank gold cast that i made you can create this item it’s good for storing all sorts of different casts that you may have made now let’s say i want to move some of these liquids i don’t want that base in There you might need to use a seared channel now any of these gauges or tanks that you may have as long as it’s not the glass variant will store liquids even if you mine them up they will retain those liquids but if you are using a faucet and you want to Pour into something else that isn’t directly below it by the same by one block you will probably need to use something like channels now in this case i’ve moved a couple here and pouring fluids can only go down and horizontal if you look here it looks like there’s Some kind of arrow going over to the right so we’re going to want to change that direction so that it goes to the left then we’re going to want to open up the bottom here so that it drops into this fuel gauge clicking here with my hand it then will automatically pour Into this you can have multiples coming off of this and just connect them by just right clicking with your hand now let’s get into the alloys and the smeltery in order to do so take yourself one of those seared heaters put it in a casting basin pour on top of it four Ingots worth of copper and when it’s done take it out and you get a smeltery controller this is the beginning of what you’re going to want in order to make it this is the smallest smeltery you could probably have it’s going to require more seared blocks and you can mix and match The different seared types as long as it’s not any kind as long as it doesn’t have any kind of transparency it should be fine for the bottom but if it has a transparency it can be used on the walls now there are multiple parts to this you Will need a floor you will need walls to it you do not have to have a top though you can add that it will not actually change anything short of just stopping people from falling in once you put down a smeltery controller you can put down some kind of flooring behind it whether It be one block or several makes no difference there are some other components that are required to make this a complete structure though otherwise when you place it down it will have a blank face like this you want it to be nice and glossy by adding in some Sort of fuel whether it be on the same level or in this case up above it should function properly you’ll also want some kind of drain a way of pouring out fluids from inside the smell tree it also works as an input for adding fluids If you want to bucket things in but when you have everything completed and you have some kind of seared blocks filling in any remaining spots that might be missing you can click on the smell tree itself and you can see if it has any fuel its current capacity and any kind Of input area that you can put in there for it to start cooking there’s more than what i’ve shown you so far though the smeltry controller does or the smeltery itself does not require any kind of corners to be present though you can add them and it should still Function properly there are also optional blocks that you don’t have to have as the smeltry controller itself can be used with a hopper to input items on top of that you do have a seared shoot which acts similarly but it does not have a ui for you to access you can Still feed items into the smeltery itself there’s a really cool new block that is meant to save lives a seared ladder this allows you to whether it be on the outside or the inside allows you access to getting into and out of the smeltery because sometimes people just Fall in you do have to be careful though because even if there’s no liquid inside you could feasibly get injured and start bleeding in there different creatures will bleed different liquids so you’re going to want to be cautious about what you end up putting in there though it Can be useful in some builds or alloys by clicking on here you can see the different options that are available and if you want to change which one comes out first because if you look at the drain itself it currently says that the red is blood is going to be coming out Which is at the very bottom if you want the blazing blood to come out you can instead click that and it will go to a different level add your bucket there and you can pour it back out refilling the bucket there’s also one more option and that is A seared duct a seared duct is made with cobalt which can be found in the nether as part of a difficult to mine material you’ll probably need to start ramping up your alloy making options so that you can mine this but once you get it you then have a filtered way of processing Things just by right clicking on here you’ll notice that it has an open spot for some kind of filter by clicking on here i can add in this copper can made from three copper ingots which has already been filled with 100 ml buckets of molten copper this will then filter Out only copper to come out with all these items in here melting at different heights and so on you can see the copper is in the middle i’ve got iron on top and blood on the bottom and if i normally were to click on this blood Would be the one coming out but as this is filtered i can just click on it and only the copper that is in there will come out and get filtered into my storage now you’ll also notice that this isn’t lava we have blazing blood this is made by sacrificing some kind of blaze Or its head into the smell tree thus leaving a blazing blood option in here and what benefits does this have it allows you to make higher temperature alloys it will max out at 1500 degrees allowing you access to just about all of the alloys possible but you will need to Pour it back out and use it as a fuel source for the smeltery instead of lava the last and final tier is somewhat optional though it is very specifically used for nether runs and that is going to be this stuff here your foundry and your scorched alloyer boundaries are made to Keep fluids separate inside of it as you can see here we’ve got lava water copper emeralds and so on there’s plenty to choose from it still accepts all of the same stuff that the smeltery did with whether it be a drain a shoot or in this Case a duct it has ladders it also has glass that you can see through and use for walls of the structure the biggest difference besides it keeping fluids separate so there’s no alloying available in here is that it does require the corners to be filled in as well whereas the Smeltery does not so this while it looks somewhat chunky it’s only a 1 by 2 structure now the scorched alloyer is a way of actually making alloys with attached blocks in this case i’ve got some copper here i’ve got some glass here i’ve got bronze here and i’ve got The fuel below it just like our early level 2 seared heater now if i have some kind of liquid fuel whether it be blazing blood or lava it will end up melting appropriate alloys that are above it or at least it will heat them they will already need to be Liquid so you can use this to melt things then you could filter them out into an alloyer and use that in this case i’ve got some molten glass by adding this in here it starts taking off using some of the lava below as you can see here it has copper and Glass and starts making more of the tinker’s bronze now they can actually share blocks you notice that this copper is here and it was used in that well if you look here we have copper cobalt and blazing blood and it accesses these on either side it doesn’t have to Be the sides it can be the front and the back as well or even the top if i add in molten obsidian it will then start making more of this hepatizon which then just keeps filling up as i add more and it’s melted very quickly with our Blazing blood for the fuel source as the next step up from the smell tree now that you can start making alloys you’ll want to use that option to start making these anvils now this isn’t like your normal minecraft anvil it does have options in coming in multiple alloys so It doesn’t have to be bronze but usually bronze is one of the cheaper and easier ways of making things you’ll need three blocks of it plus some of the smell seared stones now when you look in here you’d gain access to five options to create a tool and you’ll notice that in Addition to the old tools you have six new ones for example i’ve got a cleaver here which is going to do a lot of damage but it is a two-handed weapon and usually anything in your off hand will become invalidated but there are ways of getting around that on top of that this Starts with severing two which allows you to actually have a chance of getting a mob’s head these heads can then be used in a smeltery for different resources depending upon what you want including blaze heads for blaze blood the excavator is just a really massive Shovel and it will do a three by three area depending upon the facing that you dig with it also comes with a built-in knock back then we’ve got this new one a vane hammer this as you notice with the highlights will actually mine out veins of like materials it does not go on Diagonals so they will need to be touching flat face to flat face for it to function but once you do it then can take out a good chunk of just what you’re looking for or get rid of a bunch of stuff that you’re not and it will do This with connected blocks up to a couple away this can also be changed with different abilities and modifiers on top of that this has a piercing 2 effect built in so it will do even more damage to armored targets then there’s the sledgehammer this is similar to the Excavator in that you can do a three by three area depending upon the facing that you’re using but also it’ll do more damage to targets that are undead so if i were to attack this regular unarmored dummy i get seven and three quarter damage if i attack this one that’s Undead i do a considerable amount more let’s say you’re trying to traverse a jungle well the scythe is definitely going to be your best friend in this case because it can just destroy leaves and plant life very quick and easy in a very large area it can also be used for Mass tilling and mass harvesting depending upon the area that you end up choosing on top of that it’s also a really good offensive weapon for large groups of enemies as it will spread out a decent amount of damage across all of them without any kind of abilities doing So it’s just built into the tool then there’s the broad ax this has changed since previous versions it will instead of just taking out one item at a time it does now instead of entire areas like it used to if you use it on a tree though it will Basically take out the entire core of the tree taking it down in one fell swoop that’s about it for today just a quick fast track on getting you through all the different levels that there are for tinker’s construct there’s tons of tools objects scenery different world structures and all sorts of new and Interesting content that i plan to TIPS: – Try adding a vine to your tool as a “binding” if using it mostly in daylight. It grants a HUGE unbreaking buff! SECRET: – Use a chain as a “binding” on your tool to get a simple unbreaking buff on any tool that can accept it without the need to melt anything! OOPS: – I used Fahrenheit instead of Celcius in the video. My bad.
