Some tiny animals available in the world animals add-on snails and ants snails slide around and are really small it’s hilarious to watch them jump up a block as it’s about seven times their height you can find lines of ants swarming about and they will attack you if provoked these little guys add great

Personality to our realm there are so many different animals in the add-on that it makes each one quite rare to see it’s worth your time to just make a quick world with the add-on to experience it yourself and see all these animals in action even if you don’t add

Them to a server enjoy those sound really cool dude I can’t imagine having little things like the snails and ants little tiny like that I think we need that that’s these are the things we need in Minecraft yeah it would add lots of Ambience and all all this movement but

Like he said I think last week he was bringing up how the spawn rates don’t really go up so you’re going to have so if they ever added these kind of things to the game they’d have to change spawning mechanics completely that’s what I’m thinking too it it’d be fun to

See I still haven’t downloaded this add-on I’m going to have to check it out just on my personal that world yeah he did send it to me so I’ll send that your way little see but it does seem awesome I got to try it out though I don’t think

We’d add it to the server though because with vanilla mostly especially with the server right we have so many people we’re probably going to start we’ve already got tons of applications in for season 5 of Jericho SMP and everybody’s going to need to find animals right away right everybody’s going for their sheep

And their food and all this stuff early day one you don’t want it clogged up with things like snails and ants right I mean I know some mods on Java Edition that have things like that and you can eat the ant or the snails well that would be cool

That is a thing you can’t eat snail sounds kind of slimy to me they were pretty tasty I had them once nice I find it awesome how kangar keeps talking about these Bedrock add-ons that are really incredible most people when they talk about modding the game and everything usually you’re talking about

Java and mods technically are different but you’re still kind of modifying the game with add-ons yeah add-ons I think on Bedrock are actually better than most Java mods it’s just on Java you can mod the client side of the game right and I think these are better for overall

Experiences for the general public in a simple way to add to the game and add these modifications and enjoy them in that sense and I love that and like you said said Bedrock has some incredible things that can be done it’s just a matter of getting the creators to

Actually make what we want out here I’ve experienced that quite a bit with helping other server owners and stuff with their add-ons and I’m actually appalled by some of these creators that put out some add-ons in their junk there’s thousands of line of code that is throwing errors and they’re

It’s only the active members on season 4 have the application at this point I think we should open it up maybe tonight tomorrow if nothing else probably by Monday I would say something like that so if you are on our Jericho Discord or if you’re not well why not go get on

That if you’re interested at all and then watch for that coming out soon I’m going to have to start working on doing the our add-ons and stuff making the packs update them a little bit like right now when you join in it says welcome to Jericho 4 I think something

Like that obviously going to have to update that for season five I want to make the I don’t know what you’d call it the title screen or the loading screen I want that to pop up maybe with our Jericho SMP logo something like that would be cool so I’m going to be working

On all that stuff we are implementing a few more resource packs on the server so even console players and everything have access to that and I’ve been working on helping other servers out quite a bit still transferred another one over to bisc they weren’t happy with their

Server host and it wasn’t one of the big ones either and I thought it was a decent server host but they said they were experienc a lot lot of problems with customer service and that seems to be a big problem out there I have noticed all these errors we’ve seen with

The add-ons and stuff on these other servers it’s crazy I want to make sure if we Implement any add-ons to Jericho that they don’t have these errors I feel like a lot of people though like at least servers that I’ve seen like back in stuff on they’ll have airs like that

All the time and it really doesn’t affect anything like usually they’re a bunch of useless errs yeah a lot of sign it’s fine a lot of it is you can ignore it but you know that’s not going to help any lag issues it’s just going to add up

To it because the CPU all that has to process all this information all the time so it can’t be helpful that’s how I look at it and they are working overall they are working right the add-ons are doing what they want but I have been helping one person how they’re actually

Having to restart their whole world because it basically is corrupting their world with the latest update on their add-on on good news here we did finally get our newest member of Jericho S&P finally got him figured out on the Xbox and everything so he’s enjoying Jericho SMP that’s awesome got his permission

Set every everything like that so welcome to Jericho SMP season 4 and he actually did go ahead and fill out an application for season five so I’m sure we’ll see him there too I feel like season five is going to be cool like I think it will be the best season so far

You’re like and this season was pretty cool but there was one thing missing a BS statue and cuz on season 3 we had like a little city area and then we built a massive bearded sloth statue and I think that was the downfall of the whole season is that statue right there

I think on April fools I defaced the statue and I like I don’t know what I did but I remember like trolling You by defacing your own statue that’s not cool at all no we absolutely need a BS statue everywhere all the time I think we need

Yeah there’s a lot that’s pretty much all I’ve done in the past week I haven’t done too much I know like I’m just it’s almost Christmas break for school for me so I’m excited for that I get a really long winter SL I like to call it winter

Break just because it goes past Christmas significantly like I go pretty far into January before I have to start school again so I get a really big win or Christmas break whatever you want to call it the cold month break and that’s nice I get a bigger one than most like

Schools around where we live but my other breaks are a bit shorter like my fall breaks and stuff right and part of that too is you can actually get ahead in your school work and stuff so you’re going to be done a little earlier than even people that attend your same school

System I’m yeah because I go to an online school I can work ahead and I do so I I’ll be done like I think a week ahead of the time I’m supposed to quotequote be done with because I only have like three finals to take still and

Then church stuff is going to be crazy on Sunday yes we are heavily evolved I have more work I have to do trying to figure I had to export split track audio while on a video and just all kinds of stuff and yeah I drove in there the

Other day to cuz I went on Wednesday night there was music practice for Sunday and I was hoping to do text stuff there and then I sent I emailed myself a file from one of the church computers but I it was a big enough file that it

Had to be through Google Drive I thought that I gave myself access to it I thought I had the right setting but apparently I didn’t so I had to drive in and I just used a USB cuz that was way easier yeah sometimes it is easier just take a

Thumb drive or something and throw it on there and by the way that’s been a big topic this week apparently Google Drive lost a lot of people’s files this week so hopefully you’re not one of them what what’s Google drive up to yeah it’s insane I know they are doing Google

Drive is starting to become crap they are making a lot of limitations and stuff I use them a lot I really can’t say that much bad I hope I didn’t lose any files I love go Google Drive it’s just they’re making it they’re really putting too much behind a pay wall most

Google Services overall cuz Google has been known for so many free services and now they’re making so much pay wall stuff but I definitely use it in running the server a lot and even our add-ons there for a while I think I had them there I keep backups of things like

Jericho S&P on there it is great for that the other one I suggest for things like that is media fire I do quite well with them too I was forgetting I found another one that was like a smaller one that was really good for that kind of media fire sending files other people

But I forget what it was yeah and it’s great when we send like World files and everything it’s great to be able to do that right now our add-ons are actually hosted straight from our website so you don’t even have to go to a third party or anything you just download it

Straight from the website which makes it easy and nice and you know it’s nice and clean that’s another problem with a lot of the add-ons they send you to all these sites and ads pop up everywhere I really dislike all of that yeah same with media fire it’s all very sketchy

Course now let’s move on to what Mojang’s been up to the past week in Minecraft all info from minecraft.net yes Mojang act Works shocking I know wow there’s quite a few this week we’ve got some stable releases these and what we mean by stable release is the official actual gamechanging releases an actual

Update to the game not just a beta preview or snapshot or anything our first one this week was Minecraft Bedrock 1.20 15 and by the way it’s also3 we had a whole conversation on this we were talking about how Bedrock Edition has all these points and stuff

And how it’s better than Java because Java doesn’t have hot fixes they have full releases and it’s so annoying and you’re going to find that here very shortly in one of them but let’s get back to this Minecraft Bedrock 1.20 15 came out Tuesday December 5th 2023 experimental features please note

In order to try these new features you must turn on the update 1.21 experimental toggle so they did release this under that toggle in the official game hopefully that’s clear enough for you these aren’t actually in the vanilla gameplay the additions here in the experimental stuff added the

Crafter block to the game The Copper family of blocks has been expanded including chiseled copper copper great copper bulb Copper Door copper trapdoor oxidized and wax variants of all the above now the stable features these features are official game vanilla 1.20 don’t require the update 1.21 experimental tacle here okay the changes here

Decorated pots now store up to a single stack of items that’s awesome that is cool I’m really surprised that we already have that in game yeah that’s a I was not expecting them to do that so that’s awesome player interactions with decorated pots cause decorated pots to

Wobble and emit a vibration of frequency 11 so there again talking about the frequencies it’s you can do stuff with the whatever they’re called the sensors things it’s crazy is what it is yeah and they have all these frequencies now it’s awesome for red Stoners and just Builders alike decorated pots can be

Smashed by projectiles which cause them to shatter and drop drop their content increase the maximum stack size of identical decorated pots to 64 that’s nice that is a huge nice feature that’s huge yeah because we already have inventory problems we’re adding all these blocks they’re somewhat solving it

By making some of these things stackable so that is amazing thank you for that mojing the bat now has a new look thanks to an updated model animations and text this is amazing that they’re releasing all these things in a just before one21 I’m amazed the new

Battery is amazing which tells me that there’s a lot they haven’t told us that will be coming huge stuff coming out and that’s what it means to me that’s how I see it and they’ve done this before and I kind of like that just give us tidbit

So we don’t have to wait the whole time they completely remodeled the howto play screen and created a new encyclopedia screen have you looked at this yet I have not I haven’t either from what I’ve heard and seen it’s a nice change it they really did a good job with it from

Everything I’ve seen about it I’m going to have to check that out this week though vindicators and evokers can no longer be spawned in a peaceful world so a lot of people were kind of using this as a loophole you could move them in boats and whatnot you could switch to

Peaceful they wouldn’t attack you get them moved to where you wanted them and then switch them back and people were using them for Mob farms and all kinds of things now that loophole is gone you’re going to have to do it the hard way good luck the maximum render

Distance in Realms can be adjusted via backend updates expect an increase to the maximum render distance on Realms in the next week so that’s awesome so watch out for that if you are running a realm that’s a huge change that that is a good good thing that is making Realms more

Appealing and valuable y I will say personally I prefer a server still from everything I’ve seen but they’ve changed a lot of things if they can make Realms a bit more stable I would be up to buy a realm for a single player type world

Just so I can play on any device anytime easily yeah I will say that’s the one downfall is if they allowed the console players to join servers then then I wouldn’t have any necessity for there are some other cool things with Realms like they have their own like

Blog Page almost with screenshots and stuff yep and that is a cool thing too absolutely the calculations to determine whether a mob can attack a player or other mobs have been changed previously a mob’s horizontal width was used to determine their attack reach and their height had no effect the area where a

Mob can attack is now their bounding box extended in horizontal directions just changing the hit boox that’s all they had to say there were some fixes on this stable release fixed an issue where experimental Librarians never sold the highest level of their common enchantments a sticky piston pulling a

Retracting sticky piston that is pulling a player and another block no longer crashes the game decrease the likelihood of players spawning above leaves horizontal and Rod hit boxes are now rotated correctly sneaking in water is now possible with touch controls inventory options states such as the all/ craftable toggle and selected

At minecraft.net all right so Bedrock came out with a stable release so did Java Minecraft Java 1.2.3 also came out Tuesday December 5th 2023 they have experimental features please note in order to try these new features you must turn on the update 1.21 experimental data pack the additions on the experimental stuff

About 85 bugs in the Java Edition release here that were fixed go check out the whole change log there because it’s not even in the change log they actually have a link within the change log that you can go read all those fixes but just know they’re working hard

Behind the scenes they make it look like they’re working hard behind the scenes hey that sounds like us yeah there you go and a lot of these right both stable releases here they’re pretty much the same thing on both versions I love that they’re releasing them at the same time

Like that for the most part they’re pretty close to each other that’s good I’m hoping that keeps the community together more right all right next up we have Minecraft Bedrock beta/ preview 1.20 6022 came out Wednesday December 6th 2023 changes here updated Copper Door textures including oxidized variations

Copper doors and trap doors have now correct breaking time and blast resistance Breeze ground particles now stop playing when they’re riding other entities separated the breeze diffuse and emissive textures the fixes here in this beta preview containers being cloned over no longer keep their container screens open and no longer

Cause crashes fixed a rare crash that could occur with the 7 C’s achievement fixed a bug that kept the previewed item on the paper doal even after navigating back using the sidebar all unowned and owned emotes should now be discoverable within the emote section of dressing

Room fixed a crash that could occur when players placed or destroyed any block and then save and quit with raay tracing enabled and they’re still working on the editor stuff a little thing there was tool test world was moved from Tool Rail and is now Under menu World options I

Have not played around with the editor at all it’s been a while since we’ve talked about it that is a pretty cool feature though I’m looking looking forward to see what creators and stuff can come up with that and of course there’s many more things and fixes and

Whatnot let’s move on to Minecraft Java 1. 120.4 there was a release candidate one that came out Wednesday December 6th then the actual stable release of Minecraft Java 1.2.4 officially came out Thursday December 7th 2023 and it is decorated pots can delete items when when reloading the world

Massive update best update of all Minecraft history you could say even so many things added so many things fixed it’s just a high quality massive update can you imagine though you’re playing with these decorated pots they just put in one they put it in and then you reload

The game and everything you had in there disappeared that would be disheartening I will say though Java Edition always gets fixed with those kind of problems really really quickly it’s because all the devs play Java Edition they’re like wait a minute that’s not right when it affects them directly they’re on it all

To say I think the OG Minecraft Community is like the strongest community in Minecraft when you look at some of the old servers like uh even 22t the oldest Anarchy server and just how strong some of these player bases are for these old servers they’re just

There’s so many people and you can see this even outside of Minecraft just in other games you can look at some really old games people still play a ton of these games from like the early early 2000s that still have the multiplayer servers up yeah it’s incredible how many

Of these older servers are playing now this missile wars are you having fun playing that that is very fun because yeah you get to launch missiles at other Minecraft players using flying machines with like TNT things on it and the mode that I like to play is like it’s all old

Someone who owns a server and knows the technical side of it how do you think it’s possible there is a server that is 10 years old millions and millions of players have joined and played and the file size is terabytes for the world okay so the file size of it as as long

As you have the storage for it right and I’m assuming they’re using some kind of server room or you know some big giant place right a server Farm kind of thing it’s not the size of the world that’s the big deal it is for me personally
