Hey guys, welcome to Episode 1 of my Obscure Mods series, where in each video, I’ll cover 20 mods for the latest version of Minecraft that you might not know about. All these mods will have around 50,000 downloads or less, so not all of them will be new to You. I’ll have more episodes coming soon, and stick skins-in-fortnite/”>around for my regular weekly series on Thursdays. These videos will showcase both Forge and Fabric mods, and I’ll link them all below. Better Drowning will make some changes to how you drown. Firstly, the deeper you are underwater, the more damage you’ll take. The mod also adjusts the clarity of water, specifically by removing some of the fog so that you can see more around you. Another feature is that air will be replenished instantly when coming to the surface, although this is disabled by default. Cursed will add 16 new Curses to Minecraft, which can all be applied to different types of items. Some of the new books include the Curse of Blindness, which reduces the vision of the wearer. The Curse of Echoes will cause sound hallucinations of random hostile mobs. The Curse of Fading will cause dropped items to disappear from the world faster. The Curse of Insomnia will prevent the wearer from sleeping. And the Curse of Sinking causes you to sink faster in water. Camels are new mobs which you might find spawning in Deserts. They come in a few different Colors, and are quite similar to Llamas. By repeatedly riding them, you can attempt to tame them. They’ll need to be equipped with a Saddle, and can also be given Carpets for decoration, as well as a Chest for storage. One cool feature is that any Camels that have Chests equipped Will become a Caravan and they’ll follow each other, making it a great way to transport stuff, Jellyfishing is inspired by Spongebob, adding some Jellyfish which spawn in the new Jellyfish Fields Biome, which can be located underwater. They can be caught with Nets, and can also be Released again into your own base. They’ll occasionally drop Jelly, which can be used to craft some new Sandwiches, or Jelly Blocks which prevent fall damage and give increased jump height. Other items include a Grill, Spatulas and even Sandies Suit, which will allow you to breathe underwater. Lantern Colors will add sixteen new lanterns To Minecraft. They look like the original lantern, but can be switched between all the different colors by using Stained Glass. The Lurker is a new mob which can be found across all dimensions, and it will spawn during the night, and not burn during the day. The Lurker Is most dangerous during the night, as it will be able to teleport around and even clone itself. When killed, it can drop Lurker Scrap, which can be turned into Leather, or used in an ingredient for the Lurker Totem, which when held will prevent a Lurker from cloning itself. The Final potential drop is the Ender Pearl Sword, which when used will throw a Pearl and teleport you. Scarecrows are new entities which can be built in your world using blocks, similar to Snowmen. When crafted, they’ll scare any enemies away. There are two different types, which Determine whether they scare just hostile mobs, or passive animals too. There’s also three different tiers, which change the range at which mobs will run away. If you want to keep your base secure, then this mod is a great choice. Wormhole will allow you to create your own Portals which can teleport you anywhere in your world. You’ll need to create the Portal Frame, and add a Stabilizer for it to function. Using the Target Definition Device, you can choose the location where a Portal will send you, and link it to The Stabilizer. Portals also require Power in the form of Redstone Flux, which can be collected using the included Coal Generator, or it can be disabled in the config. There’s some design options too, as Portals can be custom shapes, and custom colors. Villager Death Messages will broadcast messages in the chat each time a Villager dies. It will display the coordinates of their death, as well as what killed them. It might be useful to you if you’re playing with a custom modpack which revolves around building Villages. Zombie Extreme will add a lot of content that turns your world into a Zombie Apocalypse. Firstly, there’s a new biome which is the dead sands, and takes up large portions of your world. Also spawning in your world are some new structures, such as Stores, Bridges and Houses which Are made up of new blocks and have loot to collect. Tons of new items are included with the mod, as you’ll find Medicines, Food, Weapons and Armor which really suit the apocalyptic theme. One of the biggest changes you’ll notice is that all sorts of new Zombies spawn in your World, which have different designs, shapes and clothes. Enhanced Vanilla adds new content which improves on the base game, starting with the new Lavender Fields Biome. You’ll also find a lot of new blocks, such as Parquets, Carved Woods and new types of Bricks and Stones. The new Glowstone Ore can be mined for Shards, which can then be turned into Glowstone Dust. Finally, you’ll find a few new plants, as well as Wild Crops growing throughout your world, which can be used to create some new Pies. Falling Leaves is available for both Forge And Fabric, and will add some new atmospheric effects to your world. You’ll find that leaves will slowly fall from trees, which looks very pretty. RPG Z adds a new mechanic for collecting loot. Instead of loot appearing on the ground, you’ll Need to collect the loot from mobs before they despawn, which will take around 4 minutes. Desolation adds the Charred Forest Biome, which has a few different variants. It’s a dark place overall, and you’ll find a new Wood type which can be used in your builds, as well As some protective equipment which allows you to explore the biome. There’s also two new mobs, which are the Blackened and the Ash Scuttler, who you’ll find inside the Forest. Crafting Pad adds a new item, which is the Portable Crafting Table. It can be created by Combining a standard Crafting Table with a stick, and will allow you to create all your needs on the move. Castle Dungeons will cause large castles to spawn in your world. When you head inside, you’ll find lots of spawners which fill the Castle with hostile mobs. There’s around seven floors to the Structure, and it’s pretty big in general, so you’ll find lots of chests with loot to collect if you can survive. Gravestones will spawn at your death location, and will display your player head and username. When you break the gravestone, any items that you died with will be returned to you. It’s A very useful mod, as you no longer have to panic about death timers or your items despawning. More Gems will add 9 new Ores to Minecraft, which give Gems such as Topaz, Amethysts and Rubies. These Gems can be used in a variety Of Recipes, but mostly to create some new sets of Armor and Tools which all range in stats between Iron and Diamond. Three new tools are also included, such as the Hammer which can break Stone blocks in a three by three area. The Excavator can do the same, but with softer Blocks like Dirt instead, whereas the Paxel is a multitool, acting as a Pickaxe, Shovel and Axe all in one. JuJu’s are new toggleable items, which give special effects like Slow Falling, Speed and Night Vision when activated, and the New Gem Bag can be used for storage. The Automated Crafting Table is a new block which can hold a template. When provided with blocks through a Hopper, as well as a Redstone Signal, it will create the item provided by the template. Materialisation has some similarities to Tinkers Construct. Using the new Workstation blocks, you can create Patterns, and use them to craft different Tool Parts and merge them together into your own tools. The materials that you use will determine the item’s durability, breaking speed, damage, enchantability and more. That’s the end of this episode. I’ll be doing videos like this more often, so subscribe to stay informed on when I showcase new mods.
