Top 30+ New Minecraft 1.16.5 Mods for Forge & Fabric!

When it comes to slimes with there now being some different variants you’ll find the likes of creeper lava glow and crystal slimes the way they spawn has also been changed as slime chunks have been removed and they’ll instead spawn in underground structures and in swamp biomes there’s also some new items and

Decorative blocks which are useful for building endless ocean makes quite a lot of changes to the aquatic aspect of minecraft there’s a new biome which is the white sand beach there’s also custom fish which includes whale sharks clownfish and tanks some new tools are the pulsar

Which can be used to calm and heal fish as well as the net which is an alternative to the fishing rod finally there’s a few new blocks which are mostly made up of rocks sand and moss watering cans can be filled with water and used on crops helping them to grow faster

There are multiple tiers with the highest tier even being able to automatically harvest crops the void totem is a new variant of the totem of undyne which has its own recipe this totem is mostly useful for when you’re in the end dimension as if you fall into the void having it

Equipped will teleport you back to the surface safely a lot more steves add some new mobs to your world which are all based around steve there’s a human who is neutral and has the old steve animations whereas the running steve will spring towards you and attack you where it

Starts to get a little wacky is with the steve vither who can fly and even fire steve heads these have a lot of health and can attack on sight there’s even the masativ which is a huge creature entirely made up of steve’s having high amounts of health and some interesting abilities and animations

Fish on the line will help you out when it comes to fishing if you equip a bell into your offhand slot then it will ring anytime you catch a fish helping to make fishing even more of an afk task a mod to help with fish on the line is village bell recipe

With this mod installed you’ll be able to craft a bell out of a gold block four stone and three logs calvary gives you some new combat mechanics for when you’re riding on a horse you’ll now have increased attack range and increased reach making fighting on horseback a viable option

Glow bats are new mobs and as you’d expect are glowing versions of bats when killed they drop glow bat wings which can be used as food to give the night vision buff for a small duration or instead they can be turned into glow paste which is an ingredient in the newly

Added glow torches and glow lanterns tons of enchants adds over 20 enchantments to your game a lot of them are improved versions of already existing enchantments but there’s some unique ones too for example there’s blessed which will slowly regenerate health every few seconds feasting will cause your hunger to be

Replenished every time you attack mobs webbing will cause you to spawn a cobweb at a hit location and springy will allow you to jump higher random village names works alongside the area’s mod which i’ve mentioned in the past when you enter a village it will now have a randomized name

Giving more of an rpg feeling to the game tree excavation allows you to bring down entire trees by breaking a single block helping to save a lot of time when collecting wood alternatively you can use the timber mod for fabric which does the same thing a mop that adds a new

Passive mob to minecraft is the untitled ducks mob they’re small cute creatures which have their own animations and sounds they drop eggs and meat which can be used for food or feathers which can be used to create arrows customizable elytras allows you to dye lytras a lot of different colors

Similar to how you can do so with leather they can also have banners placed on them allowing you to apply patterns to the wings which would be a cool feature to see implemented into the vanilla game dungeon’s mod lite is another forge mod which has made its way over to fabric

Although there’s a few mobs missing between versions you’ll find six new mobs as well as six bosses which include the kraken the king the crawler and the iron slime there’s also three items which can return you to your bed to your death location or fast forward time weeping angels has recently been updated

For fabric and is based off the creatures from doctor who they are new mobs which slowly stalk you when you’re not paying attention when you do look at them they’ll turn to stone disguising themselves as statues they’ll teleport you between dimensions and can be detected by using a timely whimey detector

Big beacons make some highly needed upgrades to beacons now allowing them to have up to 10 levels each additional level provides new effects which includes the likes of health regeneration fire resistance and luck lapis portals provides a new means of teleportation you’ll need to create a portal frame out of lapis blocks

And use a door to complete the portal by placing a chest on top you can create a channel which is determined by the items inside the chest you create another portal on the same channel then you can teleport between them deep dungeons will add some new dungeons

To your world which are similar to the already existing vanilla ones though these ones come in different styles depending on the location they spawn in with there being the likes of ice and nether variants slabs will firstly add new blocks which are vertical versions of slabs

From now on slabs can be mixed together to form full blocks which again is something i’d like to see in the vanilla game dew adds a new survival mechanic to minecraft which is thirst to manage this new mechanic you’ll need to collect water like normally but instead of drinking it straight away

It’ll need to be purified which will replenish more of your thirst bar other liquid items can also be used such as milk stews and melon slices food highlight is a client-side mod which adds a new helpful mechanic it will highlight your foods in your inventory showing you the most optimal

Time to eat them if they’re highlighted in yellow then you’ll either get full hunger or saturation from eating them whereas if they’re highlighted in green then you’ll get both full saturation and hunger instead black hole has been covered by some big youtubers as it makes for an interesting challenge

When installed a black hole will spawn in your minecraft world which follows you consuming everything around it while getting bigger as time goes on there are some commands included which allow you to pause the wormhole as well as change the speed growth and whether it damages the environment
