TrackKing25 – How to build a Redstone PRIZE WHEEL of FORTUNE in Minecraft 1.16/1.16.3 (Tutorial)

Hey there this is tracking25 and welcome back to another redstone tutorial in this video i’ll be showing you how to build a prize wheel or a wheel of fortune that you can use as a redstone mini game or special shop in your minecraft world now before i show you how to build this

I’m going to really quick give you an example of how it works now this prize wheel is actually a mix of my redstone slot machine and my redstone vending machine that i have tutorials on there’ll be links down to those in the description also there’ll be a icard in the right

Hand corner of the screen if youtube so let me do that now how the prizer works is very simple we have a lever with the payment system set up right now it’s currently set up to diamonds when i flick the lever on and off you’ll see that the blocks then go

Around and around just like that and the adventures can randomly stop on an item it stopped on the gold and a couple seconds the gold is going to shoot up from the bottom over here thank you so i randomly won gold for paying diamonds over there

Now you can set this up with whatever items you want so you can have half them maybe gold half of them may be dirt blocks any single item in the game that you want to put on the wall and it works over and over again just when you set the payment system like

That this wheel will stop on a random item and then you’ll be able to collect it down in the dropper hopper right there and now i’m gonna get my beacon thank you i’ll gladly trade a beacon for a diamond or diamond for a beacon so what i have done is taken a quick

Inventory list of all the items that you need for this build so you can take a quick screenshot so you can see all the items that you would need and if you want i actually put a couple extra blocks of each one of them just in case you run out or you lose

Some blocks now the redstone is actually very simple use the basic redstone and the tutorial shouldn’t take that long to build so anyways let’s get on with the tutorial so what i’ll be doing is breaking up this tutorial into 10 small tips so it should be easy to follow along

Now the first step is just using temporary blocks just to make a little placeholder so you want to go out seven blocks and then go up seven blocks as well and then on this side as well and we go across and we should have a seven by seven area

Now this area is going to be the front and then right behind there is going to be the back so i’ll just mark that as the front and i’m going to come to the back and now i’m going to start placing the observer and the note blocks and also the pistons

With the obsidian so what we have to do is break this block over here and place an observer just like that and then two note blocks in between and then observer the patterns are going to be observer no block note block observer no block note block so you have to continue that

Going all the way around so it’s observer now so break these out then it’s two note blocks break that and should be an observer then we’re going no block no block uh no block no block there we go right to shift there and then observer no block note block

Observer you wanna get to the pattern all the way around and then until i get to here and then one more observer that block and we want to break these blocks and then place a note block actually out to the side over here because what’s going to happen is it’s

Going to go around around in a loop if we don’t place that note block on that side there now next we have to place the pistons facing downwards so the first piston is going to be placed down under this note block the next one is going to be placed to

The side under this note block the next one is going to place upwards on this note block and the last one is going to be placed down to the side on this note block and last step is now putting obsidian over here obsidian over here sitting down over there

And obsidian in this slot and now we can fill this up with cauldrons so what you want to do is place a cauldron all the way around until you get to this point right here then you just want to leave the space open and place a water bucket in this cauldron

The next step is just placing comparators behind these cauldrons now you want to make sure you’re at the back of the system and remember we marked that as the front so in the back you want to place wool blocks just like that and then come on block down there and

Place some more wool blocks we don’t need those over there and on these blocks we’re going to place comparators facing this way then these two blocks comparator here another comparator here and in front of these comparators you want to place a block a block like that

And a block out to the side same thing on this side there and then redstone dust on this block and on this block here and from these bottom comparators you want to place a block in front of it so in the bottom block perfect just like that

And on the top over here we have to place more blocks in front of those cauldrons and i’m blocking this empty gap there and comparator this way compare it this way this way and in front of these comparators what you want to do is place some blocks

And then down over here a block up like that another block up like that and all these blocks what you want to do is place a redstone torch and notice that the torch is always off on where the cauldron is filled with the water so right now the

Cauldron of water is over there and this is going to power this torch off and this is how our system works to let your items know which one’s going to be dispensed out our next step now is just placing some glasses and droppers in the back

So for the glass what you want to do is place them in between all these blocks right there perfect and on the bottom over here you want to go across and then the middle what you want to do is break out that block there and have a hopper going into that block

And have five hoppers going into this one just across like that and then what we have to do is just go a few blocks and then place in our droppers so you want to go out two blocks like that from each of the torch these glass blocks we’re gonna break after

Two blocks out and you want to come and break these first blocks here and you want to place droppers on all these blocks facing this way perfect once you do that you can break these back glass blocks we don’t need them anymore and last thing is just actually filling

Out this area with glass to make sure that the items do not escape so you want to place a glass block going up to the top there place one here same thing on the side here place one there a glass block here another glass block and then blocking the back area over here

Glass blocks perfect so that’s gonna be it for the droppers right now now we have to set up the hopper chain leading towards the front so what we have to do is break out nine blocks for the hoppers so that’s one two three four five six seven eight nine and then on the

Tenth block here you wanna place a dropper facing this way and then hoppers go into this dropper come to the back you might break out a couple blocks just to get under into that hopper perfect now they’re all going into each other and the front

What you have to do now is just break out a couple blocks so you can get under here break out a couple blocks going to the bottom i have bedrock in my world and then on this block you want to place the observer facing downwards and then a comparator this way

And then under the observer you want to place just a normal block now over here we can just break out these blocks we don’t need them anymore break out those two blocks and place a redstone lamp there and then have it a server facing upwards perfect now when you see an item goes

Into the dropper it will actually get shot out over here that’s good and now what we can do is break out that block and that block and then place soul sand there and have some temporary blocks at the top here oops on that block and then place two water buckets

Going like that and now what will happen when item gets dispensed out it’s gonna fly up like i have over there now we’re gonna set up the pistons in the back of the system i just forgot to place three glass blocks right here so just place three

Glass blocks and now we’re gonna set the pistons so what you wanna do is go out four blocks from these droppers so one two three four and do that for every single dropper perfect and you’re pretty much gonna make the same shape that you have for the droppers down here just like that

Perfect on these blocks you want to place redstone dust and then redstone dust like that and then in front of these you have to place a piston on each one of the blocks sticky piston actually and in front of the sticky piston we want to place a redstone block

Perfect and then we should have to go down over here place a block out like that break that middle block and place a torch you should see all the pistons push the redstone blocks onto the droppers now we’re setting up the comparators for the front wall which makes the wheel spin around

So to do that we have to place three blocks in front of the droppers or actually from the cauldrons and you go down a block and place another block out like that and on all these blocks you want to place the comparator this way on these two blocks compared to that way

Compared to that way now in front of that block you want to place a block up like that another block up like that and you want to place a block out to the side like this with another one there same thing on this side here another one there and in front of these

Comparators you want to place a block perfect and on these two sides you want to place redstone dust and redstone dust now we need to place three more blocks on the cauldrons like that place a block down in the middle and then a comparator like that

Then same thing like the bottom a block in front of the comparators and perfect we’re good to go for the redstone lamps now so the redstone lamps you want to place it on the top three blocks and the bottom three blocks and then in the middle

Just like that and now we can build out the wall for the system so that’s just placing blocks around and just like that block down there perfect so that’s the wall for the system done now you notice if you actually move the system you see that the item is now cycling

Through going to the right so that’s how you can tell if your system is working you can do a quick test like that just to make sure that everything is getting cycled around the next step is to set up the lever system to allow the person to play the prize wheel

And to do that we have to actually place a block down from these temporary blocks and then go out four blocks this way four now perfect go up one block like that and we’re gonna be placing a dropper on this block so you just wanna go to this side place

The dropper facing this way then leave it in front of that dropper and now we’re going to place our comparator system to allow the payment system to work for that you have to place a chest like that we don’t need that one there break it out place the hopper on top

We’re going to add chests and then another hopper going to that hopper and then we have to say block out this way break that one we don’t need it then a comparator on this block and then a block up top for that comparator like that and a block down here with another block

Going out to the side like that and place redstone dust on these blocks with the repeater facing this way then in front of that repeater you just want to place a block then a redstone torch in front of that block just like that then you have to get out another block

Next to this chest place it right there and then comparator on this block now to set up your payment system what you have to do is put the items you want for payment system and this hopper here so i want it to be gold so i’m going to put in the gold

Just like that with one in each slot and 18 over here perfect now what will happen is when i put a gold into this dropper there and flick the lever the gold will go in and it’ll go through the system and it will only work for gold so if i try to

Put a dropper or hopper in the dropper you see the dropper does not accept the hopper and only gold will allow them to play this game the next step is setting up the activation part for the system so when i come to this comparator over here and then

Place a dropper facing this way and the dropper out like that and then one facing this way perfect then on top of these blocks you want to place some just random blocks going up and make a little torch tower going to the top just like that until you get to this

Point right here and then you want to place a redstone torch on those blocks there and then a dropper facing this way another dropper facing this way perfect and then these droppers you want to place a random item just like that and same thing for this bottom dropper over there just a random

Item in that dropper there perfect now you want to come to the top dropper and place a block down another block over here to the side and place a comparator facing this way with redstone dust on that block just like that a block up here with a redstone torch on

It and you want to place the sticky piston facing this way and perfect so now when they activate the system the sticky piston is going to push that block over there to get the wheel to cycle around now the second last step is just making the activation system for the bottom

Now to do that we should have to go to the dropper over here and place a block just down there and then compare it facing this way and from the comparator you want to place a block just like that with a sticky piston in front of that

Block and a redstone block in front of sticky piston now in front of this you want to place six glass blocks going this way perfect redstone dust on all these blocks and then a repeater facing this way a comparator facing this way and then the compressor facing this way

Then in front of that comparator you want to place a block up like that and a block down here perfect and then you have to get out a redstone torch so i’ll take one from here thank you and you want to place it on that block just like that perfect

Then you should suppose a dropper on top of that redstone torch with a hopper going into that dropper now in this dropper what you want to do is fill it up with a 64 stackable item another 64 stackable item and then a non-stackable item perfect

And then when we do that we have to place a block down over here with a comparator facing this way and then two more blocks going just like that and then redstone dust on these blocks now what this does is when the non-stackable item goes into the hopper

It’s going to power off this torch tower which actually turns off the system right over here now for the last step we have to set the circuit to activate these sticky pistons so to do that we want to come to the back and then just break out a couple blocks going

Down like this until you get to that sticky piston over there break them out almost there perfect right here so when you get to this extended piston arm what you want to do is place a block up like that and then redstone dust on this block and

Under that block you want to place a sticky piston with a block of redstone in front of it then we have to place two hoppers going into each other so i’ll place one there one going to that one i’ll have to fly around to the other side to

Fix that or you can just bring out a couple blocks over there perfect that’s good to go and then this hopper i want to place three items they can be any random items now once you’ve placed that you want to come back to this side here and place the redstone comparator facing

This way with a block in front of it and a redstone torch on that block then we have to place a dropper with a hopper on top of it perfect now in that dropper you want to place an annual random item so i’ll put a block of dirt that’s good to go

Now in front of that dropper you want to place a block with comparator on it two blocks out like this with redstone dust on this block and then a comparator or actually a repeater set to four ticks and then you should place a block in front of that repeater

Perfect a redstone torch like that you block up over here and the last thing is just a redstone torch on that block and now the system is ready to go so we can give it a quick test i have some gold in this dropper so i’ll flick it on and off

You see that’s going to spin around it’ll keep spinning and it’s still spinning perfect it stopped on that item over there and everything should be good to go now all you have to do is set up your system over here and i actually didn’t have it in the

Chest before but you can get out some item frames and then just put them in the corners like that and the top bottom over here and then you just set up your items you want in the back so now let’s say i want this one to be redstone blocks

I’ll put redstone blocks on that item frame there then i’ll go to the back and i’ll locate where the torch is turned off so see the torch is turned off over there so i’m gonna fill this dropper with redstone blocks and we’re gonna do the same thing for

The rest of the system so let me just place a random block oh i should not place that block i’ll place this there so see that now it’s over there and these two are actually going to be the same items just because you notice there’s always a gap at the bottom

So these two will be the same items so what i would do here is place two random blocks just like that so they can just be dirt blocks or any other blocks down over here then you want to go to the back and then you locate these two droppers

And then you can break these temporary blocks out fill them up with these blocks and fill them up with these blocks now they can be two different items but for me i like having it the same item so perfect that’s good to go and you’re gonna do the same thing break that

It’s gonna be over there now so let’s have this as a repeater and we’ll go to the back and then locate where the torch is turned off so it’s this dropper so i fill that repeater and then it’s just rinse and recycle doing that over and over again

So your all your droppers are filled up and that is actually it for the system i’m sorry i didn’t mention that these two bottom ones will be the exact same but what you can do if you want to set up your prize wheel for this bottom one

You can just have it as nothing and that one nothing so they win nothing if it lands on those two or you can have it like set up like this like i have it with a wall there wool there or two different items just to know if
