So the holidays are here and christmas is just around the corner I knew I wanted to do a winter themed build for this time of the year and going off of a certain someone’s suggestion I decided to recreate slash do my own interpretation of arendelle Castle from The movie frozen seeing as the sequel literally just came out I hope that you guys enjoy this early Christmas present and if you fantasy then why not consider subscribing I’ve got some big ideas ready for 2020 if you haven’t noticed already I’m not in minecraft I decided To jump into well painter to create the terrain for this build as it’s such a time saver especially when creating large amounts of terrain for a build such as this one having said that even by using this program it still took a total of about two hours to get the Landscape looking similar to that of the movie once I got the main shape of the landscape down there was still a lot of tweaking to be done until I got something that I was happy with after exporting the map out of world painter I jumped into Minecraft and begin cleaning Things up little by little by removing a few floating trees and fixing the water and ice I also tweaked the snow on the tops of the mountains to make it fade into the rock and the glow be more natural and I mix in some vanilla spruce Trees in with the custom ones lastly I do some manual terraforming to make the island where the castle sits slightly larger now it’s time to do some manual building starting with the castle walls I begin by making the tower which is the entrance to the castle and connect it With wall sections once I’ve made a basic version of it I was allowed to copy and paste it around to make up the other sections of the walls which you’ll probably see me do throughout this build I then begin working on one of the large turret towers that sit on each of the Corners of the wall I tried to keep the style of the walls and the towers somewhat similar to that of the movie however the ones in the movie are far too simple and plain looking so I had to go in and add a lot of subtle detail that wouldn’t compromise the overall Look too much again I copy sections around to build up the surrounding walls of the castle and as I do I realize the interior of the walls seem to have this walkway with pillars supporting them so I begin working on that and upgrade the current walls with that design I then copy and paste the front section of the castle walls and turn them 90 degrees and then paste them to create the east walls as you can see even after extending this island it wasn’t enough to hold the castle walls so I come back to that later and fill out the island Once more to make it large enough to support the castle also as a quick little side note I love how you can see the ice slowly creeping across the ocean while I build I think you’ll notice that a few times throughout this build and it’s super satisfying to watch I continue copying Sections of the walls and towers around to complete the backside however this section includes some custom building such as this peaked roof section midway along the wall and custom Tower on the back corner of the castle walls this towers somewhat follows the same design as the other towers it’s just Slightly taller and it has a more unique top half and a roof to cut off connecting to this larger tower is a raised section of the walkway that’s higher than the rest of the walls it basically follows the same principle as the other walls except for this off-center sloped roof finally I connect Either end of the walls up with this unique L section which instead of using the same blue roof design it’s lined with blue crenellations and has a building connected to it atop the roof of this building which I assume is some sort of stables or something like that I Placed two small towers varying in size lastly I build out the front wall of the building which completes the castle walls with the walls complete you can really see how large this build actually is which definitely isn’t what I anticipated when starting this build I plan to build out the village out front And also include Elsa’s castle nestled away in the mountaintops however building this castle alone took a total of around 15 hours so if you want to see that then get this video to 10,000 likes and I’ll finish this world off anyway as you can see I’m starting to Build the main building of the castle planning out with wool and adding a bunch of pillars to hold up the multi-tiered roof speaking of roofs I’m gonna say that a lot in the next minute or two because this building contains a lot of roofs it’s jam-packed is full of them of all Different shapes and sizes and they all connect to each other meaning I spent quite a while getting them right I start with this massive peaked roof and add on another roof on top of that atop that roof holds the main tower of the building which includes multiple roofs In itself atop the peak of the tower I add blue ice which persists throughout the remaining towers of the castle with that done I work on this outcropping roof section with a small Tower on top of it once more it’s basically a miniature version of the large Tower That I just finished building thankfully the castle is mostly symmetrical at this stage in the build so I was able to mirror it around to the other sides of the castle which made my life a lot easier I then started working on this triple peaked roof that extrude from the Main body currently you only see me working on two but remember I have the power of world at it so I can mirror it to the other side to make the third roof down below I build out another large peaked roof section which actually houses the entrance to the castle with a Large door and window on the left side of the castle I build out a single peaked roof and on the right a double where the roofs connect to one another while slowly filling in the wall behind them speaking of wolves I finally fill in this large open section of wall but I Found the design looking a little flat so I made my own interpretation of the design to make things look a little bit more interesting at the front I add in yet another two small outcroppings of the roof and then on the left side of the castle start building up a separate tower that Connects via the roof design this tower carries the same style throughout as the main part of the castle however it’s completely cylindrical with extremely big roofs with the main section of the castle finished you can see me adding a smooth stone floor to replace the sand and as the camera pulls Back I start adding crenellations and decorations to the roofs of the buildings out in front of the entrance of the castle I placed down two small fountains and then start working on the church to the left this is a separate building that sits just off to the side And follows the same design style as the others however this building has a really interesting roof design and the back side of it forms into more of a cone which is very different you can see me in the background as I raise the previous tower slightly to give the roof An even steeper incline atop the church I make a large tower that protrudes from the roof similar to that of the main castle I fill in the rest of the walls and add in another little tower at the back to finish it off before finishing it off with the same crenellations along The roof back on the main body of the castle I actually make some adjustments to the design as I forgot about the small outcropping of the building it again follows the same design and I marry it over to the other side once complete in the final stretches of this build I had To finish off by building out the wall as it creeps up the landscape now in the film this is here to protect and I assume surround the village but because the focus of this video is the castle I decided to build the wall up the hillside and just connect it to the Serene this wall is slightly different as it uses crenellations or battlements instead of the same blue roof I include some slightly larger towers than previously used and carry the wall up on a diagonal following the terrain I copy and paste that new tower that I just Made to the end of the wall and as the camera comes around you can see the final edits being made to the surrounding terrain filling sections out and then laying down the grass and sand and on the shoreline coming back down to the entrance though we’d a way for People to enter the castle so it’s time to build out and create that large bridge that crosses the water again this would usually connect to the village at the other end but I build it out to cross the water and fill in the landscape behind with some more trees And with that my version of arendelle Castle is finished [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Right so as always I hope you guys enjoyed the build I really pushed to get this build done and out in time before Christmas so remember if you want to see a finished version of this with the village and Elsa’s castle then make sure you like the video as always if you want To check out this bill then make sure you head on over to my patreon I leave links of that down below in the description I’ve also got a minecraft server so if you want to check that out then head on over to my discord again I’ll leave Links to that down below as well lastly I hope that you’ll have an amazing Christmas or Kwanzaa or whatever it is that you’re gonna have and I’ll see you next time Video Information
