Truly Bedrock S4 Episode 1! SURVIVING THE 1.18 UPDATE! Minecraft Bedrock Survival Let’s Play!

Okay okay do it do it do it oh my goodness mate are you over here to the main monitor [Laughter] In time to record that oh my god that was good hello everyone sally here and welcome back to another episode of truly bedrock it is a truly bedrock season for episode one and welcome to a new season in the 1.18 caves and cliffs update if you’re not familiar with truly bedrock

This is a vanilla survival bedrock edition let’s play server we got like 18 or so different members the server’s a bit silly and our moon is extremely broken because of well it’s it’s a long story but that’s like the third iteration of very brokenness we have a pretty spectacular

World seed this season and it has a huge like triple mountain range that we’re going to be using as our spawn town it is like probably 800 or so blocks long and our render distance definitely is not big enough to see the entire thing but this is where everyone is gonna be

Basing and where we’re gonna have our community areas so not only do we have the mountains on the seed we have a huge cave system that goes under the entirety of it as well we’re talking the biggest caves you’ve ever seen and we’re going to be having some fun community projects

Based in those cave systems as well so this right here is the spawn village and it’s right on the outer edges of our spawn mountain range and this is where everyone has basically started off and where world spawn is so it’s where a lot of the preliminary starter houses are

And it’s worth mentioning that this season we have 17 amazing members if you want to check out anyone all their links will be down in the description of the video all of us make videos here on youtube and the majority of us also stream on twitch as well so it’s

Definitely worth checking out multiple different perspectives of the season basically no matter what you’re into you’ll find somebody on the server that does what you’d like and with all that out of the way let’s hop into the day one shenanigans with everybody on the server and after that we’ll get into

Some progression and beginning our industry here on truly bedrock of season four you get a piece of bread you get a piece of bread you get a piece of bread you get a piece of bread you get no bread you would get two pieces of bread

Contain there’s two chests they both contain an item craft them together to bring me back the item that they make whoever brings me back that item is the winner while you guys are all off distracted doing that challenge i’m going to go and claim everything i call the villagers that spawn

I want to go over to the trees but i can’t there’s too many cliffs who invented cliffs minecraft these games are huge how are we supposed to explore these do we get a prize for this if we win what the yeah you get the prize of knowing you’re the best

Each other’s videos the entire plot of previous season would have been sold within the first week this is true about a pack that’s going to be on the server you’re playing on you’re made it was over an hour long it wasn’t what my vid oh yeah wait no

Take your schizophrenia meds i’ve dug down to like y23 and i haven’t found a single thing it’s just solid rock all the way you still got like another 80 blocks to go don’t worry you’ll find something so we have a little bit of a map of the server right

I actually really like how it turned out so yeah i’m gonna be basing over in that direction there is a large part of the mountain that is behind that even for some reason it’s showing me that i was recording on discord but nothing was recording i just checked my recordings

Back and haven’t recorded anything i’ve got the videos with no audio so i’ll have to borrow craig you can just do all of our voices as we know you’re going to eventually yeah you get that practice and for when you just replace us all you will So you’re gonna make all my videos for me then no you’re gonna make them that’s the next part of the add-on is that they’re gonna all actually work for me like making videos okay so we’re gonna get like 401k and dental and all that good stuff then

Now into a cave i’m at 130 four blocks in this year i’m gonna walk a long way down the hill before it’s worthwhile starting to dig really much welcome to the mountains update everything is super high it’s not good than it used to good job well thanks god

You want to get down to the bottom of the world i hope you like digging our sea level around spawn is at 95 blocks in the air what there’s no way sea levels at 90. no it’s not sea level but it’s like the lowest part around our area okay like it’s not

Sea level that was the wrong word but you know what i mean i thought you were a avatar for a second league no i was like oh yeah i’m gonna pick this up and take it i did leave mine somewhere yeah it literally wasn’t about the punches

Oh my god i’m gonna starve before i even get out of this hole after walking around and checking out the caves i’m like they should’ve made us like a like a grapple hook or something or i’ve claimed the house it is not mine okay okay i’ve claimed a secondary spot on

Top of the on top this place you can’t have two no second homes sure it’s it’s my mountaintop home it’s got a great view i mean look at that that’s just beautiful is that you have you re-purposed my house because if that’s the case uh no i claim the one that’s right above

Yours so i have the high ground and then i went to the mountain that’s above both of those and i claimed that one as well fair enough i got doubles this is not my house because i’m very particular about it how about you head to the nether

First and see what’s on the other side for me that’s really risky okay okay i’m gonna go down this giant cave for i can’t even see the bottom of this cave so i’m gonna go down there first and then i’ll come toss you into the nether i mean go into the

Literally can’t even see the bottom of this i’m leaning over and i still can’t see now are you leaning over in your chair that’s why that’s why i sound further away because i’m leaning over they ride jenkins oh my god this game goes really far down

I’m at negative 12 now i just jumped from the top of the mountain nice sorry there’s a basil delta for anybody who wants to know on the other side that’s terrible i’m not going there okay i have a question what do we do in caves what do you do in

Caves yeah what do you do in caves uh you dig and find stuff who’s this below me right well it’s very dark and i really can’t see anything at all groova be proud i just mlg with the hay bale from like 100 blocks i’m literally thinking about doing the same

By the lovely foxy no tail of course we got the mob head add-on and this allows you to kill mobs and get their little mob heads these are basically entities and you can sit on them and you can wear them too they’re super adorable and then

We also have a brand new one this season as well which are avatars so this looks like a player but it’s actually not this is an entity and i can murder it and then i can pick it up and carry it around in my pocket so now i got a

Little bit of a rogue fox and i can place them down again and we can actually pose these and change their skins and they’re super cool it’s a brand new one that foxy made so if you see some players standing around might not actually be a player might just be a

Creepy and then of course we also have the mini blocks add-on as well these are basically the exact same as the mob heads but instead of killing mobs to get them you buy the mini blocks from the wandering trader but yeah other than that this server is completely vanilla

Survival in 1.18 we don’t use any cheats or anything like that we just have a couple of these pretty neat little cosmetic add-ons that make for a lot of really fun decorations and builds and oh yeah we also have the armor stands as well the custom armor stands uh links to

Still staycating down that is because you are recovered [Applause] now the server really gets to start i’ll have you know that i have acquired redstone be afraid i thought iron would be easier to get a hold of but it’s actually that’s like that yeah do you know what’s really easy to get

Hold of copper and i don’t need it yeah food is surprisingly difficult to get as well dude yeah especially if you’re like deep in a cave kind of yeah zombie flash is looking kind of kind of tasty yeah it’s looking kind of nice yeah i’m kind of refreshing

Kind of feeling you didn’t you were never too possible yeah you’re never too rich never too sophisticated for zombie flesh do what you got to do sometimes you just want to try new things and you know what zombie flesh is the only thing left to try no

No i’m pretty sure i’ve had that i know yeah they didn’t seem that bad you know flying through creative but yeah you actually get into it you’re like oh this is like pretty bad it’s like oh it’s very dark yeah you’re all a bunch of whiners yes we are

This is the season trend people need to learn how to mlg this season okay full iron acquired that took way longer than i thought it would so are copper or veins supposed to be like 20 or each no because i found one two and both of them

Are like 20 or and now i think i probably have like three stacks of copper copper is like four times more plentiful this season because of the crafting alone so a single regular copper block can be crafted into four cut copper blocks oh yeah so it’s it’s four times more out of your

Out of your crafting and then you get more from fortuneing it and now apparently there’s just a 20 bajillion copper ore so you know how we all we all built with copper last season and uh it was terrible i didn’t yeah you know how we already see all sick of it so

Yeah we want to kind of want to do that oh the irony yeah which is ironic because it’s not iron coppery diamonds i found diamonds okay i have enough diamonds for an enchanting table no way i need to go do one do you have enough peacocks for an enchanted yeah yeah i

Got i got a diamond pickaxe and two diamonds i got the leather i’m down in a cave so um i’ll find that sugar cane in like 20 years well would that creeper really hurt me well hurry for that you can tell us what he said he didn’t like my hair oh

Okay we gotta kill him i would like to inform you that diamonds are super easy to find more diamonds okay yep the stuff is despawned dang it oh have you lost the item what was the item it was blaze rod that’s why i’ve been telling gruva that he better find that place

Oh dear oh dear my challenge going slower than i expected i’m at negative 54 on the y and i’m finally crafting um an iron pickaxe so i can pick up some of the diamonds i keep finding you haven’t made iron yet are you on the uh oh my god

I’m breaking my brain over here are you there on the the the negative 408 chords oh foxy Some of that rotten flash has anyone seen drip stone yes please collect like 10 20 of it thank you i’ll pay you okay i’ll give you a dime what i have 15 diamonds i found them in the ground i stole them from the ground okay the moment they’ll

Come back yeah if i upset some eldritch gods or something that’s not my fault you’ll be in possession of the diamonds by then it’s not my problem oh there’s the entrance literally like 200 blocks above me how am i supposed to get up there i’m still like a hundred blocks

Away from the top of this cave and i’ve already gone up 100 blocks this is what that last thing silence has fallen down the well i have though it’s full of water how am i supposed to get out of this has anyone else not died yet i don’t think

Slack has i died i haven’t died i’ll just kill myself and then i don’t need to wait if i die i can do whatever i want yeah if only that works in real life kind of yeah it does yeah i suspect it kind of does yeah yeah if

Good news everyone we have significantly increased our population of potatoes as you can see i’ve been harvesting these things with a fortune three pickaxe and that just like significantly increases the amount that you get out of this so we are at the very foundations of our potato empire

And this is gonna be a big part of the season i know it’s just potatoes and i know what you’re thinking potatoes are dumb they’re silly they’re starchy they make a lot of different great foods but only one food in minecraft and they’re just silly in minecraft but i’m gonna

Change your opinions on potatoes this season we’re gonna use these for literally everything and when i said we had a lot of potatoes i meant we have a lot of potatoes nearly a full double chest of these things and of course one of the best ways to get ahead in the

Game early besides farming potatoes is to get yourself some villager infrastructure these guys are seriously the ticket to the end game and we have two mending villagers this guy’s mending for 12 and then he’s got power five pretty far down and then i believe this guy is also mending for 12. yeah mending

For 12 and then channeling pretty far down as well so we got two mending villagers like they won and i really just wanted a fortune villager but you know what these guys are painful anyway we’re gonna make ourselves a temporary little villager breeder probably somewhere right in this

Area and then get ourselves a very small little training hall as well so i’m gonna be building my super duper simple villager breeder that i made actually a year ago there’s a tutorial on it everywhere if you feel like building it yourself but it really doesn’t take like

Any time at all to put together and of course the easiest way to move villagers whether they want to be moved or not is to use a boat and some leads and yeah basically you can just pull these guys around wherever you want to you don’t

Need any form of tracks or mine carts and i think the farmland is kind of making them get stuck so maybe not the best demonstration but usually they’re super easy to move around like this why is it not breaking doesn’t the lead usually break by now what’s happening here it’s the strongest

Lead of all time [Laughter] come on break already or just pull the villagers you know whichever one comes first no no no no no no no i literally went to bed as soon as i possibly could how did you guys have time to spawn get

Vanished into thin air and these guys are still not moving so you know what we’re breaking out the big guns water bucket meat uh hole apparently water bucket meat boat oh come on really now i’m gonna replant all my potatoes yeah they uh they be broken

This is supposed to be easy this is supposed to be 30 seconds of me moving the villagers from one place to another and now it’s like five minutes of like what even what even is happening here okay you know what we’re gonna do we’re gonna dig down this hole okay and

Then we’re gonna break this boat this is boats trash you can’t make the stuff up guys i couldn’t script this if i try okay there we go okay that’s progress get back into the boat new boat new day new functionality maybe less bugginess okay cool let’s go

Let’s go we got to do this i’m not even messing around the lead anymore nope you guys are getting the water bucket treatment this is what you’ve forced me to do you brought this upon yourselves you don’t blame me for the consequences of wet shoes

And smelly socks do me a favor and don’t let anyone tell you that moving villagers is quote easy and now the villager breeder is basically done and as my first official proclamation as potato overlord i demand that we force feed them all of the potatoes in order

To produce many many villagers okay i gotta admit that moonrise does look pretty sweet behind the mountain that you can barely see on the render distance oh yeah oh it looks even better of course it does with the beautiful night skies you can’t go wrong with rtx

I can’t believe these zombies are so dumb i literally left this open and they still could not find a way to get in there you guys are like fighting each other now like no you’re the dumb one no you’re the dumb one no you’re the dumb one they’re both dumb don’t don’t let

Them tell you otherwise uh yeah so let’s just let’s just clear clear out the little riffraff that we got going on here jeez i can’t believe i left that open too really you’re gonna be the one that wants to do the thing meanwhile these two over here won’t even pick up

Potatoes look at this okay i swear to you that if you’re the one driving the boat it is way easier to get these guys where you want to rather than trying to use leads wait where’d the other librarian go did they kill the second mending villager

That would be really dumb but also we still have amending villager right okay well this is the good one i guess i guess those zombies weren’t so dumb after all they did kill one of the villagers this isn’t quite ideal but you know what it’s better than those guys

Not doing anything at all so can we just like nudge these a little bit closer together i think the baby will hop straight into the boat aha my hypothesis was correct oh here we go finally okay the guy in the back is picking up potatoes from the one and the

Front and if i throw some like right there then no he’s still not picking those up okay it’s sometimes a little bit weird i don’t know why it’s not very consistent and where they can pick up things but now that they have food there we go now

The one the front’s picking up potatoes there we go okay now it’s working let’s just load these guys up while they’re still functional cool make many of the villager babies oh yeah no we got our first one hey little dude and there goes the second one as well see once it

Starts to work and it really does work but sometimes villagers are just pain so getting it to work in the first place is kind of a hassle okay come on you two what are you doing out of your boat and how are you out of your boat and just

What i’ve heard of this happening to some people but i’ve never witnessed it myself and for some reason apparently this is a new bug that we’re having okay they do kind of make up for it by just being adorable i mean look at this i got

A villager and a boat he’s sleeping in a boat it’s actually big enough for him as well i mean besides his head beside he doesn’t need that anyway it’s not like he uses it for anything so so far our initial investment of one diamond for one potato has paid off

Fairly well we now have over a double chest of potatoes and we have even more coming in all the time harvesting these things with fortune 3 really is paying off extremely well and i’m going gonna get myself a pretty decent lava farm going it too that way we don’t have to

Invest any coal and then our first business venture on the server is gonna be selling food to absolutely everybody on the server currently there’s already like a tiny little shopping district happening which is right here food one iron is stacked but yeah i’m gonna get myself off the reliance of that shop and

Then i’m gonna be offering probably a couple stacks of potatoes for a single diamond as the first shop on the server and of course the potatoes are also jump starting our villager industry as well so we got the breeder going we’re getting a temporary trading hall going

As well this is all very good preliminary basics and then we’re going to end up probably selling villagers to other people on the server who want to get started on this front as well hey jesse b just logged on for the first time and i gave them some bats to get

Them started as you can see the one diamond investment for the the is really paying off now we’re helping other people get started on the server as well anyway we need to go ahead and actually mark out our base area real quick we do have some neighbors this season in the

Form of db and jesse b and foxy and like bunch bunch of people basically so i’m gonna go ahead and mark out the rough borders and then you guys can see our actual base location for realsies as well right so cliff climbing how how do because oh geez mountains man

Dude this feels like skyrim like seriously you just jump until you eventually get up the mountain and then you’re at the mountaintop and this is 100 skyrim you can’t tell me otherwise [Laughter] oh jeez okay is this the top of the mountain actually uh oh no it’s all the

Way over there still okay i i went up the wrong mountain that is also a very skyrim thing okay well this is where db is living and i’m glad that i finally get to be neighbors with him uh looks like he’s already got a little temporary base set

Up over here as well overall very cool area with the caves and stuff i really should have brought more food with me i have one steak and a poisonous potato to my name and nothing spawns up here on these mountains okay this right here is the actual base location for realsies

And i’m gonna put down myself a couple marker blocks right here and then get myself a sign as well make a nice little waypoint out of this and the base idea is still being worked on so we’re not gonna be here for a little while but i

Until then we are actually gonna be basing all the way at the uh the little mountain by spawn i set up myself a sign earlier in the episode that you may have saw there’s a mountain right there i swear to you and we’re gonna be building on that mountain as our little starter

House man it’s a whole lot easier to get down the mountain than it is to get up the mountain i don’t know why that is it’s it’s that’s weird man it’s not a good game playing mechanic it needs to be hard to get down the mountain so it

Kind of seems like my starter house is underneath the lake of powdered snow and i kind of like that actually so we definitely got our work cut out for us in the next episode getting actual diamond gear getting some things built and some infrastructure constructed as well we haven’t really done much today
