Hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make a modern house in minecraft the house is split into two halves first we have the ground floor that i have laid out to be a simple crafting and enhancement area however all the way around the back and upstairs We have a brewing room a smelting area slash cooking slash all sorts of stuff and also a bed and some storage i do hope that you guys enjoyed this tutorial if you do please do consider subscribing to the channel and clicking the little bell next to the subscription button That’ll ensure that you get all my videos sent directly to your sub box but without any further ado let’s get started so just before we begin building everybody here are all of the materials that we are going to use throughout the build please do make sure that you have Access to all of those materials and enough of them as well the amount of space required is a 15 by 19 block area as represented by the white concrete rectangle on the ground do feel free to make this grid in your world if you do feel as though that it might help you Out and that’s it pause the video if you have to gather that stuff make sure you’ve got enough room to make it and once you’re ready we can begin step one my modern house building friends come all the way over to the front left-hand corner of your grid if you’ve made the Grid count backwards one two three four five six and then right by one this is the starting position place two light grey concrete on top of each other one two to the right of this is going to be a door i’d recommend destroying in the ground and placing an oak plank or Whatever floor material you want to use and then a door on top right of the door i am going to place two more light gray concrete like this and then in front of and to the right of that light gray concrete place free gray concrete coming up from the ground one two three Extend the gray concrete to the left by four one two three four and then upwards by three one two three go right by four one two three four place a white concrete one on top two to the right one going down and then place three grey going right one two three You want to go down by two one two and then left two one two you then want to place a white concrete and join it down to the ground in front of and to the right of the white concrete place a light gray concrete extend it right by two one two And then place two more rows on top of it one two that will give you this shape the point of this is that we can extend the white concrete down to the ground like this on the left and right sides we can extend the white concrete one row Towards us like this to create depth we have a lot of different depth happening in a very small area you can destroy a block in the ground in between the white concrete and place either glass pane or glass block there if you do use glass block i would Recommend setting it one row backwards to create the depth effect in addition to this we want to place glass pane here in this upper right hand area in addition to that we also want to do the same thing on the left and again if you want to use glass block i would Recommend simply just setting one row backwards it limits the space inside of the build but i do actually think it looks quite cool so you see we have easily achieved the effect that we’re looking for what we now have to do is we have to just flip Over to the side here and we have to take these three gray concrete blocks and extend them backwards each by eight one two three four five six seven eight and we want to do the exact same thing to every single one of these just like that But what we now want to do is we want to emulate what we have there on the front meaning we want to copy it so we’re going to take the top and bottom of this gray concrete area and we will extend the each to the right by two one two one two We will place white concrete on the ends of them join them together in the middle we’ll then extend this top block up one and as you can see we have to extend it right by two and then we can join this down to the ground like this just like that We also have to copy that gray concrete shape as well on that side that kind of looks like a question mark from this angle actually and we want to follow through the grey concrete that we have here on the left we follow it through to the right and we place five grey Concrete one whoops one two three four five then down by three one two three and then we go left by four one two three four and then we can simply join down like this we want to have the same light gray concrete so that is a light gray Concrete placed here in front of and to the left of the white concrete we go left to add two rows on top that fills in this little gap right here we want to extend the white concrete as well one row forwards as you guys know just like this And then it really is just a matter of adding glass now the back is a little bit different from the front although we are going to treat it the same way we’re going to add the same white concrete at the bottom and then glass running up the top We’re going to fill the rest of this area in using some glass and we’ll end up with this effect and now that we have this what we can then do is we can also place light gray concrete inwards like this from the gray concrete that we have on The back here we want to place a little bit of light gray concrete just to kind of fill that gap in you can even add a little window so you could use glass block or glass pane whichever you like we then just have to connect the front And back together that is done by extending the relevant blocks forwards or backwards to connect to each other so that lower half will be connected using of course light gray concrete and the upper half will be connected together using some gray concrete like this the roofs have to be filled in too but I’d actually recommend segmenting the roofs meaning let’s join this grey concrete roof together and let’s join this white concrete roof together and the other gray concrete roof like this or you could even leave that one like you could leave that one alone and what we have now is like we have a a Little bit of separation between all the rooms what you can then do is fill them in using glass block or anything else whatever you would like to fill it in with i like to give modern houses a lot of light a lot of glass where possible and the roof is a nice Easy place to add that where it doesn’t really afflict too much i mean that looks pretty cool if i do say so myself well now that that’s done ladies and gentlemen we have another large structural part of the house to add it’s easy though so there is a walkway that leads you To the second story of the house the second story of the house the way that i’ve made it isn’t accessible via the first story you’ve got to go on a little journey and this journey begins here with this light gray concrete on the front right side of the house We’re going to place two quartz stairs extending outwards from the light gray and then we’re going to stick a light gray on the end we’re then going to extend the light gray around the side of the house maintaining a distance of two around the house like this so we’re always two rows away Like this we’re going to make the light gray concrete three rows high in total so we have one row and of course we’re just going to add two more on top there you go three rows and then we are going to add stairs so the stairs are actually the same on The front and back and both serve the same purpose so on the front or on the back now the stairs going to go here beginning with the light gray we have three rows of them like this they run all the way up they wrote a free light Gray concrete that we placed earlier we have the same thing on the back so we want to have this and then we use well i like block of quartz in the middle of them but you you know you do you i think block of course looks quite nice So we have something which should look exactly like that running from front to back i’m very very happy with that and then all we can do from here is we can add a little bit of what i would like to call nature to the build a Little bit of grass a little bit of nature so that’s gonna uh require us using some leaves some flowers shovel hose and a little bit of seeds it’s going to be easier however if i destroy all of the grid and the numbers that i have previously placed to help us build The build one moment there we go let’s get started it’s also worth mentioning that i’m going to be using some oak planks in addition to the other blocks that i mentioned so the first thing that i’m going to do actually does involve the oak planks we’re going to lead from the entrance And place a path using oak planks that is equal in length to the edge of the house so like this i’m also going to connect a grass path to the oak plank path that is going to veer off to these stairs to the right i like to let people know where they can Go i think that the oak planks being separated from the grass path really does let people know that you have two options and also i’m not sure that separative is just a word but if it’s not i’m claiming it what i’m now going to do is establish some clear boundaries Around the house i’m going to use oak leaves for this the oak leaves are going to start here extending out diagonally from the light gray concrete stairs column and they’re going to extend round and they’re actually going to go all the way around the entire house like this Somewhat in a square so it’s going to extend across and it’s going to extend forwards and it’s going to pop out one block in front of the entrance like this you could even go one further if you wanted to because then it’s not even in level with the grey concrete but i’ll Let you decide and then i’m just going to place some flowers so maybe a few flowers here and here next to the entrance and maybe even some around the head just here on to the right that’s also a personal decision on the back of the house i want to have Something a little bit different i’m going to have a grass path that leads you to this large window here because that’s going to be turned into an entrance and then the rest of this area is pretty much just going to be farmland like all of it i think i’m going to leave a Skirting of grass around this farmland here so like you can see where the grass path is i think i’m just going to leave some grass there but the rest of that can be turned into farmland i want to show you that this back part of the house is actually An entrance and this is what we’re supposed to do we destroyed these two glass here and then we place some stairs extending inwards inside the house we might have to destroy free glasses and we want to have a set of stairs that leads up like this Into the second story of the house the second story of the house is basically here right so where the grey concrete is on the outside of the house like above this entrance this is where the second story will be and you can use any material for the Second story of your house it doesn’t really matter which you use i think the gray concrete is a decent material but you could easily you say the white concrete or any of the others you could use quartz i get it it doesn’t matter whichever one that you would prefer i Just want to show you that this is where the second story is supposed to be just in case you weren’t particularly sure and you would have a good reason for not being sure as this house is modern and a little bit erratic but here we are so here you now have two row Space that you can walk around in this is where the second floor shall be now the first floor is just down below and we can actually drop down from the second floor into the first but we can’t go from the first to the second and now i’d recommend a warmer material or at The very least a lighter material used for the floor in the in in the ground floor just down below you’re also probably going to want to cover up the stairs in some sort of capacity using some sort of block it doesn’t really matter which you pick It’s not that important as long as it looks good to you and we are just going to dig out the entire ground floor and replace it using the oak planks i’d also recommend i like the ground level to look a little bit cleaner so the ground floor right now there’s a lot Of space there’s a lot of opportunity for like hidden little hidden rooms and you know little places to store stuff if you like that then you can keep it it’s actually great for that there’s loads of little nooks and crannies like underneath the stairs and stuff that you can take Advantage of i’m going for a bit of a cleaner look as you will see in just a moment but the only thing that i would highly recommend i mean you know the layout is yours to do with but what i would recommend is making the floor a light color because Unless you add additional windows which you’re more than welcome to do of course or a lot of light then this place is quite dark already so that’s that’s up to you but once you’ve done all of that ladies and gentlemen you will actually be 100 fully completed with the house so this Is what your house will look like once it has been 100 fully completed ladies and gentlemen i think that we have perfectly integrated modern and nature together i think that this house looks really cool and balanced if you’re interested about the inside my inside is very very simple but I’ll show you anyway i’ll give you a little bit of a look so downstairs we have a large singular room i got rid of all of the nooks and crannies myself and we have a utility slash crafting slash enhancement area down below and if we Head out of the house and we head all the way up and down again to the second level to then go up again we have a brewing room on the left we have a little bit of a smelting area on the right and we also have a house Or we have i stand corrected we have a bed not a house we do have a house but the bed is in the house and that’s it ladies and gentlemen i do hope that you guys enjoyed this
