TSMC – Minecraft – Minecraft Tutorial: How To Make a Modern Underwater Base

Hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make this insane modern underwater base and not only is there an underwater portion but of course we have a house up top which is equally as cool looking as the base that we have down below the entrance into the

Base is very simple we just come into the actual house work our way down this long set of ladders and voila we’re here down here we have access to what four equal tunnels that each on the end of them have a spacious room which all connects back to the hub area in the

Center that of course leads you back up to the surface there’s also dolphins if you enjoy this tutorial all i ask is that you please hit that like button as it really does help me and the channel out very very much and if you make it

Now before we begin ladies and gentlemen i just want to let you know a few things number one these are all of the materials in my hotbar right now that we are going to be needing so please make sure that you have access to all of these

And not only that right now on the screen is the amounts of those materials that you are going to be needing so please make sure that you have enough of those and not only that once you have it made sure that you have enough materials we are going to require

A 33 by a 33 block area under water to make the house so please make sure that you have enough room i’d highly recommend some flat ground and up top here on the water where we will have a part of the house as well will fit perfectly inside of this grid

So pause the video if necessary ladies and gentlemen make sure that you have all of the materials make sure you have enough of them i’d highly recommend also making the grid as it will help us quite a bit and on top of that i’d also recommend a

Conduit if you have access to one because it just makes the whole process a lot easier but without any further a gym let’s get started so let us begin if you have made this grid in your world i’m going to recommend that you begin on the front left hand corner of the grid

And then count inwards to the right diagonally 13 times 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13. then we’re both starting in the same place i want you to place a gray concrete on top of this block and extend that gray concrete towards you

And then to the right and then up by two one two go right one up one right two down one right one down two i then want you to place a block to the right and then inwards right and then inwards and then up two one two go right one up one

Right two down one right dolphins please and then go down by two one two and then extend the block on the ground to the right one go in one right one in one go up two one two right one up one right two down right down to right in one right

In by one up two right up right to and then down right down by two and then just place one block coming outwards connecting back to the original block and what you will have should look exactly from the top like this it’s hopefully a fairly simple design now once you have done that

The thing about this build especially down below is it is rather repetitive which is a good thing because i’m going to show you how to do this once and then i want you to repeat it three additional times so you have to do this to each one of the four sides

You begin by placing white concrete on the insides of these doorway-like structures like this you then extend the white concrete at the base here you extend it across by five in the direction that you’re going like one two three four five one two three four five

I then want you to extend the other white blocks across as well except i only want you to use black glass specifically the black glass Like this we are then going to place a layer of white concrete on the end of this tunnel and then we’re going to place grey concrete around the outside of the white concrete shape this is going to mirror the shape that we have created all the way around the middle of the base

Once you have made this shape i want you to take the right side of the bottom gray concrete and i want you to extend it one block towards you and then right and then extend the shape down by four one two three four and then extend it inwards down left by four

One two three four inwards left up by four one two three four and then inwards so the shape that you’re looking for should look exactly like this grab the yellow stained glass block specifically the yellow and i want you to place yellow glass in all of these positions so here here here here

Here here here here here here here here and here like this so you’re kind of creating a circle like this it kind of even looks like a light bulb now once you have done that we are going to raise up the yellow blocks so we want

To add another row of yellow on top of all of them that we have just made like this next thing we’re going to do is we are going to add a row of yellow yellow glass that goes around the top and inside of what we have just made so

We’re actually you know what we’re actually also going to make it connect in the corners as well so we don’t have to waste that many blocks like this and to put a finishing touch simply make simply place a layer of yellow glass directly on top of the center of the

Empty space created just like this and of course not only are we going to do this once but we must do this for addition or free additional times to make this four times in total so ladies and gentlemen if you need that going through again if you need those

Instructions once more i am going to recommend that you go to this point in the video a timestamp should just have appeared on the screen and then that will go through the process with you again and again and again and again as many times as you need however i am

Going to now quickly build the rest of the free chambers of the underwater base so now we have two chambers so now we have a three chambers and this is what the base looks like with all four chambers they are all identical so you can just keep repeating repeating repeating and once you

Yourself have completed all four of the chambers we can now move on to the next part work your way to the center of the base i want you to place two yellow stained glass blocks on the corner gray concrete that connect all four chambers together so one two one two one two

And one two like this we are then going to place two diagonally placed yellow glass blocks that will connect the tops of the doors of the chambers together so it will turn the center part of the base into a circle at the top which is exactly what we’re looking for like this

Now once that has been done we want to add another layer of glass this time around the top of the inside of the circular shape that we have made at no point does the glass connect to each other other than diagonally except for the sides of course but what i mean

To say is you don’t want it to join together like on the corners Like this and once that has been done we now want to place a layer of white concrete around the inside of what we’ve just made inwards from each one of the four rows of free yellow stained glass place white concrete on top of each one of the

Four rows of white concrete so it sticks up out of the actual base What we now want to do is we want to gauge how high we have to extend the tunnel this is completely dependent upon how deep you are in the water so what i mean by this is i want you to take the center of one of the sides of

White concrete and i want you to extend that upwards preferably not hitting any fish until you reach the top of the ocean so basically as soon as you get to out of the water that’s where you want to place your white concrete and the same wants to be done on all

Four sides because what we’re essentially making is a tomb and this tube is going to take us from the underwater part of the base to the surface or from the surface to underwater really because there’s no entrance down below like this what we then want to do is extend out

The white concrete at the top so that they connect to each other diagonally very similar to what is done down below like this what we now want to do is we want to seal the tube by placing black stained glass blocks in the corners they will sit diagonally in between the rows of

Wine concrete and it will make an airtight tunnel once everything has been cleared out and placed properly So so far this is what we should have which looks quite impressive by itself now once you have that sorted out ladies and gentlemen i think that the next thing for us is to make the upstairs part and then we can refine the design a little bit more so

Once you reach the surface i want you to locate where you want the back of your upper part of the base to be like where is the back mine for instance is here my the front of my base is this side the back is over there towards the modern beach house

I want you to take the center white concrete block that we have here and i want you to place two additional white concretes moving backwards one two and then place a gray concrete now i want you to extend this gray concrete to the right by six one two three four five six

And then extend it towards you right by two one two and then towards you go right one towards you right one down by four one two three four then go left one down one left one down one left two extend towards you And then go left by three one two three extend towards you go left one and then extend towards you by three one two three what we now want to do is place three quartz slabs moving left of these blocks so like one two three like this

And if you like you can even place another row of quartz subs behind so you see this is where the entrance of the house would be on the actual water so the slabs are just to make it a little bit easier especially by boat to actually get inside and just so that we

Are keeping up this is the shape that we should have right now okay i want you to place grey concrete on these sides of the quartz slabs that you just placed Extend the back light gray concrete backwards by two one two and then extend it left one and then extend it inwards and then left by three one two three and then extend it inwards and left by two one two and then extend it inwards Left one inwards left one and then up by four one two three four and then i want you to extend the fourth block right one and then back right back right by two one two back one and then we should be able to just extend right

To connect all the way back to where we first started and all being well we should have this shape right here i see that the squid are really enjoying this i can see them looking up at me okay so the next thing for us to do

Is to fill in the platform using white concrete there is only one part of the platform that i don’t really want you to fill in using white concrete which is this middle part right here because that is how we are going to get up and down into our hidden underwater base

So let’s get this filled in with white concrete and we can move on to making the house itself Perfect so now once you have that complete we can move on to constructing the house a little bit so the first thing that we’re going to do is we are going to come all the way down to this corner right here it should be rather easy to find

I want you to place a gray concrete on top of this block and move backwards by two one two and then up by three one two three and then move right by four one two three four connect back down to the ground and move forwards by two one two

I want you to move left one up by two one two go left two one two and then connect back down to the ground this is the entrance i want you to place yellow stained glass block in these positions covering up the empty space between the entrance and the main part

Of the house we’re also going to pretty the entrance up a little bit by placing a row of quartz slabs across the top of the actual entrance itself i’m also going to place a little bit of yellow stained glass paint coming outwards from the gray concrete left and right

Next to the platform that we would actually use to enter the house now once you’ve done that the next thing i want you to do is i want you to take out your white concrete and place white concrete left and right of the long vertical rows of

Gray concrete at the back of the entrance extend upwards those white concrete extend them up by three one two three one two three and then extend them both left and right by two one two and then connect them down like that and like this Now once you’ve done that we have to make them a bit more 3d so i want you to take the back corners of these shapes and extend them back each by eight one two three four five six seven eight and we want to do that with both corners

Connect them together and then connect them down to the ground we have to do this in both instances Like this now once you have done that the next thing i want you to do on the front and back add rows of black glass pane in between the two vertical rows of white concrete i also want you to add black glass to the very top

We’ll be using glass block for this as glass pane does not work very well for roofs the next thing we want to do is we want to place yellow glass between the back rows of white concrete now the way that we’re going to be doing this is very very simple indeed

So i want you to place one row inwards connecting the two rows diagonally a row of yellow glass block and i want you to add three more rows on top one two three and then place a row of yellow glass coming upwards and inwards diagonally I then want you to extend that row as a matter of fact you know what we’re going to do another one as well we’re going to add yet another row coming upwards and inwards diagonally and then from the front we’re also going to place from this row of gray concrete

Two rows of yellow glass coming upwards and inwards diagonally that span at the width of the grey concrete on the front of the house all we have to do from here is just connect these rows together in the middle and that will give us a very cool effect like this But we aren’t quite done once you have that taken care of ladies and gentlemen the next thing we want to do is on the ends of the house or the ends of the platform we want to on top of the rows of white concrete blocks we want to place a row

Of yellow glass and then place two more rows on top one two and then place one on top of the center and then coming inwards from this glass we want to place a layer of yellow glass there is one row around the original row so you’ll be

Able to see especially from the inside how it kind of goes all the way around and then we actually want to do the same thing using grey concrete to that row of yellow glass so literally the exact same idea just place gray concrete around that layer of yellow glass from the outside

It looks like that which is a very cool shape and from the inside i mean you can’t really see it from the inside unless we actually physically come inside the house but it looks cool as well i’m just going to destroy this little glass here

Then all we want to do from this point onwards Is we want to use our yellow stained glass block to just fill in the gaps where we have to so i just want to come up the side of here and place yellow glass diagonally like this coming down from one side to the other side in a circular shape like that

We can then fill in the corners of the white concrete area like this here and this here and also here and here and that’s all that has to be done really not even on the front there but that will actually look really good and from the outside there’s no gaps or

Anything anymore it’s a really really cool modern futuristic looking part of the house and we want to do the same thing on this opposite side here so beginning with the yellow stained glass block on top of these three white concretes we’re going to stack how many roses it ladies and

Gentlemen can you remember because i certainly can’t it’s three rows of glass one two three extend the middle block up and then place yellow glass around the outside of what we’ve just made do these same using gray concrete now so literally the exact same thing gray concrete all the way around

The yellow glass And then all we want to do is we just want to place a little bit of yellow glass just enough really on the corners we’re basically just knocking the corners off just like this to just kind of like fill in the empty space and then all we have to do is place some

White concrete where we actually have air gaps here here and where else here as well like that and then we’ll have a completely airtight almost fell in the pool there a completely airtight interior and that is actually the upper part of the house 100 fully completed and if we just dip below

We don’t have access to the the conduit just yet i think that’s actually just loading up right now um you can see that it just flows together really really nicely it everything just goes together really really well and that’s exactly what you want to have which begs a question so how do we

Connect everything together now it’s really really simple we only have to put finishing touches so to start off with i’m just going to reduce the amount of space that we have at the top of the build here so i’m just going to place some white concrete

Around the top here just to reduce the amount of space that we have and i’m just going to destroy one block backwards as well and i’m going to now dip into the center of the base and i kind of just want to figure out where i actually won the

Where where do we kind of want the ladder to be do we want it right in the center i think we probably will so i actually i’m gonna have a row of white concrete come from the very center of the base here and i’m gonna have it coming all

The way upwards it’s gonna sit in the middle of the glass like this and i’m just gonna i’m gonna have to have uh i’m going to have to have a ladder that leads all the way from the very bottom here because now you can see what we’re kind of on about

We want to have a row of white concrete at least from the very center of the base all the way up to the top here and that will just take us nicely into the actual base itself and it’s not really in anybody’s way being here but uh

What we do have to do now that we have that this row of white concrete is we have to do two things and these are two things i’m not going to be doing on recording because they’re very very time consuming well we have to get rid of all of the water inside of

The base which means we’re going to be using a lot of sponge you might even want to begin at the top of the build you might want to get some sponge placed at the top and work your way down because of course water flows downwards so you might just

Want to get your sponge placed uh at the top here wherever wherever you have to go to get rid of all of these source blocks might actually be easier to destroy a little bit at the top here just to kind of like see where it’s flowing so maybe get rid of these

And then that might actually do quite a good job yeah you see now they’re actually all flowing down we’re getting rid of the water but the idea of course is to just get rid of all of these source blocks inside of the base using the sponge but

Not only am i going to be doing that whilst i am away i’m also going to be getting rid of the entire floor and replacing it using white concrete and i’ll also be adding a ladder of the center of the house that will of course

Take us all the way up to the top part of the house and it’s it’s very chaotic down here ladies and gentlemen the salmon’s freaking out i’m freaking out so i’m gonna get rid of all the water replace the floor with white concrete add a ladder and then we’ll be done

I wasn’t prepared for this i’m so sorry so i have now successfully emptied the base of water and i have also placed white concrete pretty much everywhere the base looks a lot better like this however the only problem that you will have is the conduit was providing us light because we were in

The water we now aren’t in the water so what i would suggest and this wasn’t on the original materials list is perhaps grabbing some sea lanterns that would be quite handy and maybe just dispersing them kind of like evenly throughout the base and we’ll see how that looks yeah

That certainly made an improvement sea lanterns were all that it took to actually make this base nice and bright and i’ve only placed them in two places uh pretty much in the center of the rooms and the center of the corridors and that actually solves a problem

Really really nicely and all we have to do from here is place a row of ladders that will take us all the way from the bottom all the way up to the top and there is no easy way for me to place these ladders actually i feel very very cramped

And i feel a little bit claustrophobic a little bit claustrophobic so there we go that’s that’s actually all right and then if we take a look at this hopefully it should be lit up a bit underneath yeah there we go that looks awesome this is the first time i’ve actually seen the

House in the water as i designed it on land but that looks absolutely crazy so this is what the house should look like once it has been 100 fully completed now this is the underwater portion and what i like best is when you can actually see down below
