It’s going on guys touch we’ll see here and welcome back to another minecraft maligne tutorial in this video we are going to be doing custom dimensions and this one is going to be using the never template so we’re going to have any dimension which generates like the never So that’s what we’re gonna do in this video it might be kind of long maybe I’m not so so first we’re going to go ahead and create their dying medicine in it clocks so in in it we want a new class and we’re going to call this dimension In it and in here we need to go ahead and create a method so this needs to be public static void register dimensions and in here we need to put dimension manager docs register dimension and ID we’re gonna put two and and for this we are going to put never never temp so Let’s go Sam for never template so two is the ID and because basically that is how that’s the idea of own dimension so the overworld is zero I believe there never is negative one and then the end is one I believe sometimes adding at the end and never confused and so I’m as Usual and then once as you go ahead and create this never temp so up here we’re going to want to do a public static final dimension Oh Oh God public static final dimension type and nev underscore temp is equal to dimension type I mentioned type dot Register and we want to go ahead and put never temp and for the suffix you want underscore and never never temp we’re on that all lowercase the ID we’re going to put two for the provider you want to go ahead and put dimension never temp dot Clark’s and put the keep loaded we put that you folks unless you want your dimension to be constantly loaded in which case you can set this to took to true obviously that can cause a lot of lag in a in another video at some point I’m going to show you how we can make this a configurable number and so you know if person using the mod can change that number depending on wherever it collides because that will most likely collide with other mods and obviously what you can do if you want to is you Can go ahead and put this to a number like okay so sorry about the the cut here but I would just like to mention that from here the recording did not work and so I am re-recording everything here and so you know and yeah so this isn’t a whole new video but I’m Basically continuing from here on a different day this is like three weeks later so I’m not recoding everything I’m just going to be going over everything so this is gonna be slightly different I don’t know if I’m gonna be how quite is gonna work so I’ve already created all the classes But basically it didn’t record my recording software just stopped recording I think that’s because I’m running out of space on my computer and so what I should probably do just really quickly is just empty my recycle bin because there’s about 40 gigabyte 50 and I think there’s a lot more than that in There actually so yeah so what I was saying is you can change this number here to any number you want and so like that as you know I don’t think you can have it that big I think the maximum you can have it is the max of the short so That is 2 ^ 15 negative 1 which i think is free to six seven six and I think that might be wrong let’s see – ^ 15 negative 1 3 – 7 6 7 so the maximum you can have is 3 to 7 6 7 and this is Because even though it’s an integer value minecraft they basically don’t like sending integers in packets and packets are basically what it allows you to sync the server and the client at some point we will go over packets I’m just not right now and but yeah we Will go over packets at some point when we do key binds and anything else which will need I can’t think of anything else but we will use packets and we might actually have a tutorial dedicated to packets but that’s all gonna be after so yeah we’re just gonna keep this to – for Now and that yeah we will have a config number for that and when we do config which is quite important so we will cover that after I’ve done the dimensioned templates so yeah now you need to go ahead and create this class and dimension never Temple so this one and you just put this in the never template package which I’ve created so you just create a new package for your dimension and that will work so yeah you need to make sure this ID here is the same as this one which obviously Is going to be actually easier but yeah so now you can close that and close that so this class needs to extend world provider and you need to grab all of the unimplemented methods about that guys but my cat came in made naturally first and so I just sorted him out but ER So first we’ll go over the init method if you don’t have this you can just type it in in it and it will come up and inside this you just need to do this stop by own provider is equal to a new biome provider custom this is a class we Will have later and that needs to take in this stock world docket seed so it takes in a long value which is the seed basically what this is is it just initializes the biome provider so the thing that provides the biomes it’s a rather simple thing but you need to have That next is get damaged and type so obviously this is going to be an hour dimension from dimension in it so I was it never temp so that this returned I mention it never temp naturally needs to scrape the chunk generator most of these are pretty self-explanatory methods but Create chunk generator basically creates the chunk generator so ours is the never gen template that ate in distant world a boolean which is generate obviously one it’s January and the long seed so the seed over the world so we will create that class later as well Next is is surface world so I believe this is an optional method and but there you go it returns true if the main las’ if it’s the main surface world but folks if it’s the never or end can respawn here so this is basically whether the player can You know place if they can set their spawn point there and actually spawn in that dimension which obviously they’re never in the end you can’t do but we’re gonna have that’s true i do about her before folks does x/z show fog so this is basically a fog thing which you can Get it makes it really kind of low visibility and i just added this just because it looked really cool experience you just return true or false get fog color so this is a RGB value of the fog so it’s a vet free d and it has to be a Double so you just get the RGB number and you divide it by 255 d for each for r g and b and and you put that in a new vet free d that’s what it requires next is get cloud high so basically this is the high at the clouds yeah Shoot but speed is basically whether the max bin so when you’re in the never or the end basically your little icon on the map will spit and and that where it should spin or not get movement factor so obviously you know never is eight times more blocks than the Overworld I think it might be eight I don’t know it’s different through different versions so yeah next is generate like brightness table so you what to copy this one from even the video or the github and it’s just a bit of math to generate the lights the light Brightness so there’s that next is a never gen template so this you want to copy the whole entire thing from my github it’s a very big class and basically just generates the chunks so obviously this implements a chunk generator so here you can go ahead and Change the block states so the block is that he’s usually never act so main block you can change this to block in it dot and whatever block don’t get to full state you can change the air you can change the bedrock you can change the liquid which I’ve just left with water You can change the gravel and soul sand so this one’s gravel that once sauce and this one is gravel I think so obviously you can change that and yeah that’s probably all you’ll want to change in this one and you can add any world gen features right here and if you want so Yeah you can you can do that and you won’t really want to change anything else if you understand the math obviously you can change some of these I personally I’ve got to be honest I don’t understand the maths and but this is all basically by craft default map it’s just What Boeing craft has for there never here actually you want to change this to biome I think that’s basically the base biome of the dimension so you can have obviously multiple biomes but if you want a base biome so the biome that your dimension suits the most you just put Here basically and yeah you want to keep all the rest of the same so yeah that’s those two classes done what did I change in okay next is the biome provider custom so you obviously want to go ahead and put this in well you can put it in the world package that’s what I’ve done because it’s not just the never template you’ll use this for all your dimensions or yeah all the dimensions you have you use the same class so yeah this basically extends by a provider Oh me so you should just create these variables you probably just Want to copy this one the github because once again bear maths and just annoying stuff really and I’ve really got it done for you we wouldn’t write this out in this tutorial anyways I will just copy it because it is a big class it’s not big class just mathy and stuff yeah That’s that next is generally a fix test so this basically fixes the generation layering for our dimension so just put this in the world in fact you probably want to put it in the never template class yeah you you want to put it in the package for your dimension this one and Just because it is more suited to dimension you can copy their from the video if you want it’s small class it doesn’t extend anything doesn’t implement anything and yeah it does just create the world so it is rather simple understanding but obviously you do have to get a lot of it From the minecraft out next we actually need to go ahead and register this so I don’t know if I’ve really covered this on but just in case I haven’t you dude I mention it register dimensions in pre in it and I think that’s actually who you need do I think so So now obviously we have our custom teleport command so let’s go ahead and test it on our dimension I already know it works by the way because if you have what’s the teleport bad there you know you will need to know that um and I will Be doing a video on how to create a portal to your dimension which would be nice as a lots of people have been asking for this on different places I’ve seen it loads of places and people don’t know how to do it so I figured I will Cover it so let’s go ahead and run the game ah why is it always do this yeah go ahead click run and yeah I’ll see you do TP dim and I can do too and it will load terrain and here we are after my game just loads he go so obviously mine looks very interesting due to the fact that I used bookshelves And gold ore and for the gravel I used ping I used to grab all the if I can find it but oh yeah this is this is the dimension thrilling that’s that’s it I don’t know why I’m getting these like spikes let me have a look just just just my game being A bit slow I think this is it there really wasn’t much to it it’s a pretty small simple tutorial and yeah so further delay on this tutorial guys but on a big project recently and what you will see and it’s a pretty project and I’ll take you on it soon it’s really Gonna be it’s a massive project I’m working on some people already do know about it and the right now is not a very big stage it’s basically um it’s not a moment and I personally think it’s going to be very useful to Minecraft mothers for all versions eventually but it’s gonna take Its time and you will see what I’m talking about soon and then blast it soon I don’t know actually I really don’t tell you a day for I never I can’t tell you because I didn’t have a plan for um yeah I don’t wanna share too much About it and some people already know about it but I’m not gonna say too much cause I’m not guaranteeing anything so yeah I didn’t do it story do subscribe you really enjoyed it please
