Ulandos – Minecraft DOOM Mod – Basics, Crafting, Structures & How To Begin

Hello fellow steves and alex’s [Applause] boom boom and let’s go so first off this mod can be played in both fabric or forge essentially if you’re a boomer like me and you haven’t touched modding in a while fabric is a new type of mod loader that is fairly lightweight and stable which

Many modders are moving their work to you can use this instead of forge if you prefer just remember each one has its own mods and they cannot be mixed the easiest way to boot into an instance with mods on minecraft in my opinion at least is with the cursed forge launcher

Which i’ll link down below there are tutorials all over youtube on figuring out how to do it if you’ve ever touched a mod before i’m pretty sure you’ll be able to figure it out without a tutorial once you’ve got everything installed next step is loading into your new demonic playground doom world

So at first glance everything’s just going to look the same you’re going to be loading into a minecraft world however something that i’m going to do just because this is what i do with shooters with this mod at least in my opinion is just make sure my mouse

Settings settings are all right i got that right before i started recording so my sensitivities on on point always have the same sensitivity for every single game i use a little ruler to figure it out um obviously you don’t have to do this this is just me being very specific

About my shooter games uh controls change it from normal minecraft make it easier uh sneak c sprint shift i’m trading this like an actual fps shooter right now and as you can see doom has one key binding that’s all it needs though dude just the reload button

But yeah i have optifine installed so let’s just rebind that to that for instance there we go cool and with that we shall begin our little journey into the doom mod one more thing i would suggest when you’re playing with this mod if you don’t want to experience any weird

Visual bugs to turn off your shaders if you’re running it which i’m going to do for the duration of the video it’s going to make it look a little bit more ugly in the environment but i don’t want to see the animations or these weird bugs i found pop up during the spotlight

Thingamabob okay given this is a mod about demons in hell you’re not going to be able to experience much of that until you can actually get yourself to hell first so as you’d expect you can get to hell through a nether portal or you can find a new structure in the

Overworld called a doom portal so these doom portals can spawn at random locations throughout your world if you want to find exactly where one is nearby it has to be nearby in order for it to work um you have to have cheats enabled and go slash locate doom and then you

Can choose which one you want to locate we’ll talk about all of these different structures soon but for the purposes of this we’re looking for a doom portal and you can go straight to those coordinates which i’ve already set up but we’ll just do this anyway cool so here’s a doom portal

Upon approaching it you’ll get a little neat little achievement uh there’s quite a few of these achievements woven throughout the basic vanilla system so i’m pretty sure there’s a command i can give myself to gain access to all of the um achievements so real fast i just gave

Myself all the achievements so i can show you how they’re all woven throughout the vanilla achievement system so for instance you’ve got one here called the titan skull which we’re gonna get to everything by the way just just just wait but yeah as you can see through

Adventure you can we just access slip gate before by finding the doom portal um and that ties in with you know villager trading and all that it’s all connected so it’s it’s woven throughout the vanilla system it’s a bit annoying in one aspect but in the in the other

Aspect it actually ties in the do mod into the actual essence of minecraft which i love you will also notice there’s probably going to be a few demons hanging around the portal there can also be these turret things as well but which we’ll talk about soon

There’s also totems you want to take out these totems as fast as you can because they buff nearby demons they give them strength and speed so you don’t want the demons to have that so cool so you can either choose a doom portal or you know make your own way to hell and

That’s how you begin the demon slaying essentially all right so double make sure you’re ready before you go into the nether yeah like i understand in vanilla you can you double check everything regardless but this ain’t the nether anymore bio it’s hell literally there’s just demons everywhere at least the first

Time i went through i got slaughtered i may have got gotten super unlucky with the spawns though so outfit yourself with some gear um because there’s gonna be a ton of different types of demons and luckily for me i’m a cheating little bastard and i’m in creative also

If you want to there is a block that we’re going to get to later but you can actually change the system a little bit i’m going to show you a little little cheap way to do this there’s something called the gun crafter and you can craft this with normal items

You don’t actually have to go to the nether and this is one of the crafting mechanics that’s part of the doom mod and you’ll see a lot of things that a little probably a little bit confusing at first but you can actually craft the chainsaws without getting any of the

Necessary materials that you get from the demons so if you want to go ahead and craft a chainsaw and they just use the gasoline as fuel so gasoline is crafted with gunpowder and rotten flesh and then you just end up crafting the chainsaw got the og chainsaw we’ve got

The 64 chainsaw and we’ve got the do maternal chainsaw i’m gonna grab the doom eternal one there we go so do maternal chainsaw let’s go sweet so these chainsaws literally just work constantly you just have to walk up to something and it just tears the out

Of it so when you’re in survival it’s actually going to use up the fuel in the chainsaw and you can just reload it by hitting r and it’s going to pop pop one of the gas barrels that you just crafted but these things are pretty neat so if

You want an early game thing to take out demons with chainsaw all right and with that it’s time to jump through the portal into hell so there are a lot of different types of demons in this mod i’m probably going to do a separate video explaining what each

Demon can do and if there are any specific things unique to certain demons i’m going to explain the bosses probably in this one but if you want me to go into further detail in another mod spotlight or like a part two part three um regardless of what you say

I’m probably gonna do it anyway but just because i love this spot it’s great um but yeah i’ll be explaining all all of all of the demons probably in a part two part three but essentially once you’re in hell the first thing you want to do is kill every single demon you see

Natural doom tendencies am i right so upon killing your you know what let’s light it up a bit so you guys can see also i’m gonna stay in creative just for the purposes of this um spotlight um i’m sure it would be really fun to watch me die over and over

I can probably do a stream on twitch at one point while we try to do this okay so if you want to see that you know just comment down below and can i watch you die over and over on twitch please but anyway upon killing your first demon regardless

Of which one it is you’re gonna pick up something called argent energy if you’re lucky or ammo apparently these guys are just dropping ammo this wasn’t in the script hello imp 2016 time to die oh there we go we got some argent energy so this argent energy can be used to craft

Various things to be specific you’ve got weapons armor ammo jump pads a few blocks base level argent tools and a e1 m1 og doom music disc okay so on top of gathering argent energy for your trip back home to craft even more weapons to kill even more demons with there are two

Uh natural spawns that can happen in the netherrealm there’s one called the titan skull and there’s one called the mother demon so as before you can locate them using the command system or if you’re not a cheating little you can actually find them yourself so that’s the titan skull

And that’s the mother demon okay so essentially the titan skull is like a dungeon chest area it’ll give you rewards except it plays a vital part in summoning the icon of sin so because we’re treating cheating little again uh let’s just go to the nearest titan skull there is a

Recurring theme i’m starting to notice um with the titan scales not sure if this is a bug or just the my extremely unluckiness uh they tend to spawn in the most weird places you can imagine but this one actually spawned in a good spot there was another one that spawned underneath

Mounds of netherrack that you’d never be able to find without a command so the titan skulls will have loot um just as any other you know dungeon chest area from mods you’d imagine um but they’re also going to contain the icon of syn pieces and we’ll get to that really soon

Okay we’ll get to that really soon also be careful because there’s totems um in these places as well and there’s also turrets so yeah and they drop argent energy too so the other naturally occurring structure slash boss that will spawn in the nether realm is the mother demon so

She’s essentially a really really nasty karen on a period with an achievement tied to her so if you’re up for some karen slaying and achievement hunting go for it so let’s actually revoke all my achievements yeah that’s going to give you an achievement just finding the mother demon’s lair

Then we’ll also i’m doing i’m doing this for use okay survival there we go oh god it out shred you with the chainsaw chainsaw op chainsaw i changed it oh my god oh my god jesus christ i may have put on do mama uh we’ll get to the armor later

Oh my god jesus christ it’s a fire resistance will help with this hurricane come on there we go oh my gosh here we go come on there we go there we go okay you don’t actually get an achievement for killing her you get an achievement for finding

The actual area okay stop shooting me please i’m gonna kill you anyway once you’ve once you’ve gathered some argent energy you can return home and head back to that gun crafter you crafted or if you didn’t craft it you’re going to want to craft it now okay so on

Our way to the gun crafter i’m actually going to show you guys the jump pads so i built a little miniature contraption over here to get myself up to this little base that i’ve got so essentially these little miniature jump pads which you can craft using the

Argent energy that you get off the demons you can use them to well it’s in the name they’re jump pads so you just walk over them and they just they boost you up about five blocks um i think it’s exactly five blocks to be honest and i’m sure you could

Probably do some sort of redstone contraption with these um it’s pretty cool what you can do like just the idea of being able to get a jump like you don’t be cool if you could actually position which angle they’re pointed at that would be cool

Anyway so this is all of the e1 m1 blocks you can actually gain access to through the uh mason villager so let’s quickly just put a stone cutter down grab a villager there we go mason cool so we’ll level him up now ah there we go so on journeyman you can start seeing

The e1 m1 blocks so by default uh just clicking in it won’t work you’ve actually just got to split the emeralds like that there you go and you can start getting the e1 m1 blocks so you’re probably going to need quite a few uh masons to be able to get

All of the e1 m1 blocks rng rng for the win so you’re just gonna have to have a bunch of masons to be able to get every single e1 m1 block and they’re all really cool um they don’t actually have any functionality so i got a little bit

Scared when i place this one down like am i gonna die when i touch this but no um they’re really neat there is also the e1 m1 music disc which is just beautiful um i think yeah we’re good This can be crafted via arjun energy okay there’s also two more blocks uh you’ve got the argent energy block just by itself and then you’ve got the argent lamps for some reason on my instance of minecraft the argent lamps are not working i’m not sure why they’re not

Lighting up or anything uh i you don’t actually need to power them i’m pretty sure um sort of just an anomaly for me but they should work for you oh there is also the barrel which is really really fun so you can craft that as well using uh you don’t even have to

Go to the nether to craft the barrel the barrel essentially is an explosive barrel so so using any sort of projectile weapon um you know preferably what what do you think we’re going to use we’re going to use the shotgun boom barrel explodes doesn’t do any damage to the nearby area

It also just sets a light everything so you can sort of set up a trap area if you’ve got a bunch of mobs coming in a certain direction maybe near your house or if you’re making your own map for instance uh using the e1 m1 blocks

You can uh easily set up these barrels for some pretty neat stuff all right so the gun crafter itself as you can see you can now craft many different things so if you’ve got argent energy you can actually craft pieces to the different weapons you you want there’s the bfg

There’s the ballista there’s the chain gun also there is something i did i did forget just to mention there is also this thing called argent plates so that is pretty self-explanatory to craft if you have ji installed obviously um but yeah to craft argent plates you just need argent energy and

Iron ingots so you just mix those together and you can get argent uh argent plates so for instance let’s craft the bfg from eternal we’re gonna need two nether stars for that oh boy sorry three nev never starts yeah and a piece of glass cool nope i need more

There we go the bfg from eternal holy that’s huge so i’ll probably do another episode explaining the weapons as well since there’s just so much stuff to go through but for instance the bfg probably uses as i’d expect bfg cells yeah and there’s the other variant of the bfg

As well bfg 9000 which looks like my dick okay i’ll shut up all right next up before we finish up this segment we still haven’t gone through all of the weapons and what they can do we still haven’t gone through all of the armors we still haven’t gone

Through all of the mobs either but we’re going to have a look at the last two structures so we have the arc maker and the maker i’m probably butchering the name the way you say those names because i haven’t played doom and a doom eternal in quite a while but essentially to get

To these structures you need to go through the end now you don’t actually have to kill the dragon you just have to get to the end city so if you’re cheating a little or you’re playing a mod modded uh a modded pack where you can fly or if you have the elytra

Somehow i don’t know how the hell you’d have it without killing the dragon but anyway yeah we can go fly over there or we can just quickly take out the dragon with the bfg or we can teleport whatever doesn’t matter boom oh my god that did a lot of damage goodbye dragon

hell hey i said die there we go so i’m pretty sure apart from achievements the arc maker and the maker areas don’t really have anything unique to them that you can get i think would be cool if the devs tied in somehow uh some sort of progression system where

You have to be able to go through the end to craft certain weapons like the unmaker for instance the unmaker weapon doesn’t require you to go to the end which i thought it did at first because i couldn’t recognize what that was at the bottom but it’s just phantom

Membrane which is from phantoms so if that was if they added some sort of end thing to the unmaker that would make a lot more sense to be able to get that weapon and maybe make it more powerful than the other ones but anyway oh my god that’s even further away than

It was before we’ll have a look at the maker first so this is the this is the maker structure they spawn makers make a temple there we go find the makers so there’ll be loot in here as well we still haven’t even gone through the power ups as well there’s also the doom

Power-ups which you can find through various uh chests i’m pretty sure but we’ll probably tie in the power-ups with the weapons um since it just seems you know applicable so are there any makers around here no no makers no makers at all oh my god that bfg’s insane

You know to be honest i might have accidentally wiped these guys out with a bfg at one point i can’t remember how long i’ve been on this world four so there’s a maker these guys are the makers not really that impressive in you know if you have

A bfg and you’re in creative but there he goes oh my god i want one health this should be fine oh yep they’re shooting out of their third eye yep boom go away nice we got energy cells for the plasma ah all right so next we’ll go to the arc maker

So here’s the arc maker area where it’ll spawn i think i may have glitched it out though again also got some argent lamps over here so the arc maker will generally spawn immediately as soon as you join this area but because i’ve been here before i think it just flew off

But yeah that’s the arc maker it’s it’s a it’s a mini boss essentially but we’ll get into explaining exactly how all of the bosses work the buffs all the different mobs in another one it’s going to take a while but we’ll get around to it how’s the bfg do against this guy

What about direct hit holy crap just for the fun of it hello oh god ow nah go away oh jesus let’s take out the armpit archmaker i did you the hell just happened there oh yeah there we go taking down heaven nice got a ton of argent energy from that cool cool

So that’s that’s about it for the doom mod if you just wanted no it’s not hey wait what about the icon of sin give me ah fine i was gonna save it for the in-depth mob spotlight thingamabob we were gonna do and like part two or part three but

He twisted my amulet all right so to summon the icon of sin as we explained earlier you need to go to titan skulls to gather the pieces so once you have all of the pieces this is how you can summon it you need all 16

Pieces and the way to summon it it’s a multi-block structure essentially so you’re basically counting backwards well the way i do it is at least is count backwards because i like building things from the ground up pretty much so 16 uh to the left i think 15 14 13. then the next four

12 11 10 and nine i’m choosing to do this in the overworld as well because i’m going to show you what the hell the icon the scene emanates when it’s summoned it’s insane it’s awesome it started raining i think that’s actually perfect for what we’re doing right now

Alright so just be careful once you place the last piece the icon of sin will spawn okay let’s do this in survival just just for a nice bang okay we are ready we are ready we’re ready in our pony outfit okay let’s do it let’s also put the shotgun back on my

Left hand so we got the shotgun here oh i need ammo that’s right okay let’s do this oh boy oh there he is oh god oh my god you see how everything is just absolutely dark as hell now the shotgun’s doing absolute trash damage to him but the marota axe is really

Powerful and it breaks really fast and as you can see the icon of sin also loses pieces of his armor as you attack him and he loses health so yeah let’s uh let’s finish him off real fast a marauder argent axe just died immediately but it’s very powerful

There we go and the icon falls oh he dropped a bfg that’s nice and a ton of argent blocks all right all right let’s jump back to the uland in the end and finish up the spotlight okay so that was a preliminary look at the doom mod it’s enough information if
