Ultimate Alchemy Modpack Ep. 10 Botania Mana Automation

Hey guys welcome back this is Joe’s narc dick and as you can see on my head yeah we’re gonna be working with pattani today so I hope you guys are ready so today we’re be trying our best to I guess get started with a little bit of a

Tinea and the reason i say that is because well – two steps today betánia and possibly the blasts Vultar the blast furnace we would need to get a blast furnace going but it’s not that important right yet there is several things that we need to do for the blast

Furnace but we can go ahead and get some other things going as well such as Betania and that’s gonna take a little bit of time so let’s go ahead and do that so if we take a look at Betania and floral fertilizer that’s how we get always get started with Betania good

Old-fashioned floral fertilizer you can see that we have the powder now we need to make a mortar and pestle for this to work and i guess we can get I guess yellow would probably work or what does it call Daisy or dandelion yeah Dani Alliance so we take some dandelion and

We can actually get floral powder this way so instead of using just any normal dye we need to do it this way and take some bone mill and we’ll just combine that and that should give us quite a bit of floral fertilizer five of them I say

That’s a lot see let’s do some poppies we don’t have many of those either but I mean as soon as we get even a small amount of the these flowers we can we should be able to duplicate them right so that shouldn’t be an issue we can

Even do this there we go oh yeah that’s perfect that’s eight as you get is quite a bit so you just place it down on grass and look at that we get some patina fauxtina flowers which is kind of hilarious today the bass key just got his patreon

Stuff set up so as you can see I have a pure Daisy on my head that is kind of a orange tint that is one of the patreon rewards for vas key which is kind of hilarious so yeah really nice I highly recommend guys if you guys haven’t

Supported some of these mod developers and you have the ability to do so I mean these guys these guys put in some heavy work making some of these amazing mods that you see and definitely deserve any of you guys to support but anyways off topic we’ve almost got all of this done

I don’t think we I don’t think we got a wife flower did we don’t think so so now basically if you put this stuff in here there should be exactly 16 and you can see there’s there’s two four six and eight so if you remove this row and you

Have all of them here that should be sixteen now what we can do is I take some of that lovely bone meal that we had some lovely shears so it might need to make some shears and we’ll just go ahead and duplicate some flowers here turn this into petals plant the pedals

And bonemeal them just like that and then shear them all and that will net you double what you had before and there’s all those petals now these black petals I want to turn back into floral fertilizer so that’s what we’re gonna do so we’ll take the mortar and pestle I’ll

Do 33 of those we’ll get all that black dye there and then of course you use that to make more floral fertilizer very simple so let’s just kind of get this whole area filled up there’s our white flower hopefully this will get us all the flowers here

I see Brown there’s a purple I’m seeing some of them that we didn’t have earlier so there we go all right let’s take a look let’s see if we have everything because of course we have the black here and we’re missing one one color for some

Reason whatever that may be I don’t know whatever color it is I so just repeat the process or that bonemeal out here so yeah this is getting us started in Betania next thing we’re going to need is a good old-fashioned peddle apothecary which now we have some petals

So we should be able to make this thing perfect we’re gonna need an infinite water source so a bucket preferably would be nice good old-fashioned bucket and we’ll create ourself an infinite water source over here to get a bucket of course I removed my water source cell oh come on

Fill the bucket first do your magic come on it should it should be filling the bucket not anything else what is causing it to drain that fast everything seems to be full what’s what’s confusing me so much like that the block behind this crafter is full fill my bucket

Have to do it the old-fashioned way huh oh we have it going into this thing as well I don’t know we removed the power yeah there we go something else is using a lot of that which I mean it’s I shouldn’t have removed my water source

I guess I have water source over here what am I doing here am just wasting time it’s exactly what I’m doing Segur bug it out we’ll fix this let’s get a spot for this and we’ll use some slabs I’ll kind of do it in this corner

Definitely going to be necessary to gather up just a few seeds I don’t know if there’s a better way of doing this yeah harvester or something that would be something that would be really nice but yeah I don’t care about the wheat so much even though wheat is

Definitely a useful item in this pack you will need it later on I do believe so I might even setting up some crops for that I did notice Steve’s carts was in here and I was like huh wonder what Steve’s carts would be good for and then

I realized well Cauley farming if that stuff’s in here so setting up like an automated farm with Steve’s carts could be something to do even if it’s a little farm it doesn’t have to be big so there’s 26 seats that should be plenty for right now all right

So one of the things I definitely need to get is mystical is a the thing that’s on my head if you’re Daisy so 1 2 3 4 and then to cap that off with a seed and also you have a bucket throw a seed in

There BAM you get that and then throw a few more in there and we’ll get ourselves another one so these are two functioning flowers which is going to be a pure Daisy perfect well throw one all over there won’t there we need to get herself some wood and some stone both of

Which will be very useful okay I’m gonna start placing this down for right now now something you can do which will help you out in the long run is probably breaking the corners we had our shovel on us that’d be a little nicer breaking these corners out I even recommend doing

It for this side as well oh I’ll let this work on its own here in a minute we’ll break this side out as well and now I guess we’re gonna continue to have our builders want on this because this will be very very helpful later on right unfortunately that will place funny what

I probably gonna do is slab up the bottom just like that so we can place the wood there awesome see yeah just like this we can place our wood logs they’re all facing the same way it should work and over here we’ll place the stone just like that and if we

Get ourself our wand our builders one that we got originally you can see that placing this is super easy now and so we can just do that and we’ll get ourself going now something that we’re definitely going to want right away is to kind of upgrade our tinker’s tools

And we’re at the point where we should be able to do that no problem and also get ourself going you know later on with tinker’s we definitely need that so I did get some people saying make some tinker’s tools that are better than what the tools that we were using so we’re

Gonna do that but first for before I’ve completely you know changed my mind with everything well you know what we actually need to do this so I’m probably gonna go with iron just because we have so much iron we also need a tool Forge so we’re need yourself a tool Forge

Should be able to do that with iron and less that’s gated there it is blocks of iron there we go and we should have some seared brick or the ability to make some and another tool station perfect so tool station with a crafting table blah blah blah actually probably use our

Alright we don’t have a tool station that’s right we never really did that you perfect tool station and last but not least tool for ch perfect all right so I’m gonna end up making myself an axe so I need some heads a few different casts and things

Like that that will get over here of course I’m gonna need a tough tough tool rod the broad axe head plate cast because I’m gonna have two things I’m gonna do the hammer and I’m also going to do the axe and I’m gonna do a regular pickaxe as well so the regular pickaxe

Where you need this I think I have some of these patterns already I don’t know but I need I need some of these tools we should have done this a long time ago I never got around to it all right and some of that is that about it I think

It’s about it all right so I’m gonna go ahead and get this done and then we’re cast out these different parts all right so I in the middle of this I kind of changed my mind I was like you know what do I really need to go better than a

Stone because once we put some speed on this these guys are going to be ridiculously fast and have enough durability to probably repair themselves because we won’t be you actually using that much so having wood and some stone actually makes these some pretty decent tools for

This um so what we can actually do is take this get some redstone we can use tons of this redstone they have three modifiers on them apiece right and so what we can do is throw these modifiers on here and speed this up you know pretty significantly

All the way until these things are completely maxed out with their modifiers so this is mining speed three on it and we can get this thing up there as well and this now has mining speeds seven so these things aren’t that slow like by no means are they slow

So that I’ll back in there perfect so let’s let’s take a look these have now changed oh that’s a big deal we don’t want that happening but as you can see that I mean that definitely does do its job whoa it did not like me doing that man

That’s unfortunate I think it’s gonna break this stone as well Oh it’ll break this though knew that but it doesn’t do exactly what the wood does unfortunately the wood you know we’re gonna to manually place that unfortunately oh well so let’s get our stone back again let’s get our logs

Set this up with that cobblestone or something kind of keep it from doing that but most likely our one should work here perfect unfortunately we can’t use it for this but that’s gonna be fun we’ll have a system hopefully later on that we might actually set this up to be

Automated I don’t know how how much we needed to be automated but we of course have the ability to do so all right so let’s go to make a mana pool there we go we have a mana pool we need a wand I don’t know if we have enough living yeah

We don’t have enough of this to make a one I think we lost some unfortunately as this went through but we should be able to do though is take our acceleration wand and I think accelerate this we accelerate the pure Daisy and make it happen really really quick

Perfect my hammer there we go and that should make this a lot faster just place down the wood and voila go at this again and voila perfect back over here and we’re about done okay so we have all of this completed I think that’s gonna be plenty we only need one more stick

Perfect and that should bring us into our flowers I’m gonna do yellow this time why not why not do yellow so we have yellow for a wand we have a pool for our mana what a better place than right in the center to place our mana pool to keep everything symmetrical and

We’re gonna need to make some crazy flowers and get going with that so mana spreader is gonna be something we need now and we should we have enough to make what two of these to Fright now I definitely need more wood so for this we are going to mass produce some more of

This wood speed this bad boy up there we go because the more of this I have the more mana spreaders I can make the faster we can get mana inside that pool there we go all I need is really two more I think I might have enough for two more now I

Want four for this we’ll have one here lift it off the ground of course I don’t want it on the ground bring this thing up I wanted one block off the ground same over here you can throw this bed we are already on top one block off the ground block off the

Ground perfect doesn’t get better than that right all right so we need to take this wand let’s go ahead and link these two where they need to go course to my centralized mana pool and last but not least we’re gonna Indo flame this up so

We’re gonna have to do I think I’m gonna move the pure daisies as well I’m gonna move them over this is gonna break that no-good pure daisies you’re about to get moved let’s put you over here that is the perfect place for you who cares about the cactus breaking I know

We’ll just pick that up it looks like most of it you got consumed all right back to what we were working on living wood all that good stuff okay now we need to make some more flowers that is something that’s definitely needing to be done go ahead

And move this stuff as well should just left it dirt so what should have done now I gotta go back and fix all this all right so let’s get our endo flames up and running that’s gonna be one of the first things we’re going to need to make

And that’s what I want to make so we’re need brown red and gray light gray do you believe in doe flames yeah I require light gray you’re also gonna need a bucket for water bucket for water and seats that should be perfect so I need

12 24 I need at least 24 seeds that is perfect we have the exact amount of seeds I don’t need because I’m going to put six into flames for each of these main of spreaders and that should be just perfect so take the water let’s go

Ahead and get everything set up or how I want to do this and that should hopefully work so I’ll put my flowers in then I need an empty hand for my seeds we’ll figure out how this goes one two and the seeds and then a bucket that should work

Seeds I come over here empty hand seed and I just repeat this process empty hand seed because it remembers your your last recipe and so I have a lot of a lot of this to do I have to go through this 19 more times

So see you guys when I’m done so we have all the endo flames are ready to go right we’re looking pretty good I have all 24 endo flames so what I should be do a banana spreader is placed down when I place these flowers it will connect to

The closest mana spreader so it should in theory connect here that’s one two three four five six so we need we need those to be set up just like this and they should technically automatically link to the closest one nearby and that way I should not have to manually link

Them which is kind of a pain now another thing I can do is move them closer I might actually move this one closer because I don’t know if this will actually reach the center but I do have some charcoal I think I have it stored

It’s being built up over here so we do have an excess amount of charcoal that will be plenty enough to get this up and rolling now I do want to turn this into charcoal blocks why you may ask well it’s much better for the environment of course no I this thing consumes charcoal

Blocks 24 charcoal blocks what we need to actually activate all of them so we do have an excess of charcoal which is perfect and right there 54 blocks that is plenty plenty of charcoal blocks so we’ll all these activate with that yes they will okay so that will dramatically help our

Automation set up as we go to automate this now getting charcoal in here is going to be something where to need and getting enough to automate this is also gonna be another another issue so I think it will actually pull from a block above here so if I have a block here

Like a slab a half slab let’s go ahead and it’s gonna break this block we get a slab actually you let’s use can cloud so you have slabs no I can’t man that would look cool will do stone will keep it classy alright so there’s our stone what

We need is for this to recognize with a pressure plate that there’s an item there right so let’s go ahead and do that let’s get redstone we’re gonna pressure plate what is fine and this needs to output a signal so this will technically output a signal when a block

Is placed here or me or when I’m placed here and we need to set up a dropper or what does it called a crate open crate open crate requires planks so there’s our open crate and the open crate needs to feed into a hopper good old fashioned

I said I think we have item droppers don’t we item dropper precision dropper and we don’t have access to those yet so yeah this would be the best way but we do have hoppers so what I should be able to do is take a precision dropper have the open crate

Here have a hopper here and have this I don’t think this affects the hopper does it no but what does is this place on the bottom half of that hopper and let’s go ahead and get any more slams my redstone my redstone skills precede me this

Should work once we get this set up properly if I remember exactly how I need to do this we need to take this up I don’t remember if it was two out and then one up I think it’s like that but we need to move it here like at that

That will work that’s very simple there we go and whenever there is an item here such as that it will activate and prevent all these items from spawning in supposedly don’t need to move this back one and have a block I think I need to have a

Block oh wait no no the redstone signal needs go over the top there we go that works but that also limits our automation to this but that’s fine we have blocks that will actually work but this this definitely does does exactly what it’s supposed to do and

It’s not that crazy of a redstone setup right so we should be able to put charcoal in there and that’ll keep doing its thing okay perfect so I’ll put some charcoal in there and let’s go ahead and get the automation set up for the rest

Of this we can use a flat transfer node we need a crafter good old-fashioned crafter that we’ve been using through this whole series which are really good I never knew how good these mechanical crafters are they are really nice so for this will set up a node going backwards

Here going into a mechanical crafter with a chest with two red on it um that’s the output we should have some red dye I think to my inventory isn’t it yeah the red petals okay two of this floral floral fertilizer here and we can slap on this

In your chest that should be that awesome and we want to pull this out unfortunately it might conflict with this it depends this should overtime anyways build up this takes a lot of time alright so let’s take out some that charcoal or turn this into charcoal blocks and that

Should be inputting into this hopper and there we go guys that’s automated that is automated and we can kind of just let it do its thing it’s gonna always keep this here providing all of this with with charcoal it’s not very hard is it but that’s not the only thing we need to

Do today so we ended up getting this done we need to hurry up and get a blast furnace ready to go just the early stage of a blast furnace the earlier the sooner we get a blast furnace up and running the sooner we can get the advance blast furnace or the better

Blast furnace going and that’ll make our life a lot easier so blast brick that’s something we need that’s gonna require brick which I’ve made a bunch of another rack and blaze powder I’ve been working on blaze powder we don’t actually need too much of that hope you can see it

Actually just consumed we have some of these that are that are stopping now it’s working I really like that alright so that’s done let’s take that blaze powder and we’ll go ahead and make some of us so we only need 27 27 blocks perfect and let’s go ahead and place

That down get herself our hammer get this guy activated there we go Hot Topic and what we need to do is just take this out right here now the thing is this coal works better when it’s in here by the way I’m wondering is this actually pulling this doesn’t really generate

That much does it this actually generates more creosote we’re not generating a lot of creosote at all doing it this way hmm this definitely does generate more creosote we may actually flip this around I think we definitely need to do that anyways before I do that we put

This in here in here sorry take some iron and this takes a long time so if you wanted to do it faster more efficiently what you want to do is turn this into coke bricks or coke blocks and actually use iron blocks to do this that will net you more for your

Money more bang for your buck but it’s gonna take a little bit of time it is gonna take some time but believe me it’s well worth it you’ll get a little bit more and that’ll be a lot better in the long run so yeah I’m gonna replace this because I do believe that

That makes it a little bit faster this right here there we go these are backwards yeah I feel like this is something this is this is not right these should not be oh I guess that yeah that would be on the same window will flip-flop there we go this should generate more creosote

Anyways this process this process isn’t generating that much but yeah this is gonna take some time so as I said before this is a this is gonna get our steel so there’s our steel production we now have mana production and quite a bit of it actually look at that we already almost

Have a whole mana pool full at this point I’m sure we already have this guy rockin and rollin like this crazy crazy crazy but this is probably one of the easiest way to honest ways to automate this I don’t know how well this works on servers so keep that in mind that this

May not be the best thing for a server you may end up dropping tons of items on the ground whatever you leave because it decides it’s gonna chunk load for you so just keep that in mind that you don’t want a bunch of items spilling on the

Ground and sometimes hoppers can keep a chunk loaded in your redstone stops working so then you’re just dropping tons and tons of items on the ground and that can cause a lot of issues yeah a lot of issues so automating this can be simple such as this but it shouldn’t be

Should be too bad so I hope you guys learned something there and that’ll generate tons and tons of mana forests like that was literally basically two sets of mana and you can you should be like this a little bit faster later on we’ll get some better mana spreaders cuz

These guys will six these guys can pretty much support six Indo flames a piece these regular banner spreaders so the more the later on we can add more we can do different upgrade or manna spreaders and we can add more indo flames and have you
