Hello wonderful people it’s wild here and welcome to part one of a Christmas Village Series in this series I’m going to be showing you everything you need to know to be able to create a beautiful Christmas Village from how to plown out your village to all of the buildings you Need to fill it up so let’s get Going in this part of the video I’m going to be showing you how to lay out your village and how to build a very first building a bakery I’ll also be giving you a tour to show you all the buildings we’re going to be creating in this series and make Sure you stay tuned to the end of the series where I’ll show you how each building is decorated so to start looking at this Village I’ve come to the very front and you can see that I’ve placed my Village along this Snowy River and so although this town looks great from every angle I’ve made sure it looks especially beautiful from here because this is where we’re going to be approaching the Village from and you can see see we’ve got a little road down here inviting us in so let’s go have a look up our little roadway here and it Breaks off in two directions let’s head down this way first now this is my Market Street so I’ve set up Market stores along the road we’ve got things selling all of the essentials for winter and Christmas like this firewood stall some candles and some baked goods and We’re passing the toy shop over here in our right coming up further this way we’ve got the building where creating today and that is our Bakery but we’ll have a look at that a bit more later you can see throughout the village I’ve used some similar Decor TI it together so We’ve got these lovely street lights with their little wreaths and then we’ve got some Larger than Life Candy which brings a little bit of fun to the scene okay let’s head back down this way and see what we’ve got going on in the other streets you can see that the building We’re approaching here at the end of this street is our library and our garlands are even decorated with some books as we come down this way we’re going to pass our Christmas decor store and on this side we’ve got the candy cane Cafe and in between each of the buildings I’ve set up little decorations so we’ve got snowmen in different places we’ve got some string lighting and we’ve got little places to sit okay coming around here we’ve got our beautiful Christmas tree with all of its presents in the town center and opposite this we’ve got Our church and I’ve used some fun color here to bring in some of the colors we’ve got going on in the rest of this beautiful Christmas Village let’s continue on our journey we’re going to pass the Inn here and so it’s a nice cozy place to stay in the village and We’ve got our flower and garden store on the right oh and over here we’ve got our very last shop it’s our clothing boutique and we’ve also got a couple more Market stores tucked in here so if we take a look from the top view of this Village you can see all of the shops and houses dotted around here with there snowcapped roofs and you can see that we’ve got a nice flowing walkway through guiding us through the village with all the spaces in between filled up with some fun details like this little ice Skating rink or a snowball fight now that we’ve had a look at how I’ve planned out my Village let’s have a look at how you can plan out your own so to plan out your village you’re going to want to find a nice Wide Open Space over There you can see that I’ve planted trees around my Village but I started off with a blank slate like what we have over here now for a Christmas Village it’s always nice to have it in a snowy biome but a spruce biome also looks great and I always think it’s nice to Have your village situated along a feature like a river like this one or along a coastline so now that we’ve found our space we need to prepare it for building we’ve come down here to the surface and and you can see that the ground has all sorts of heights so what I like to do before I build is take some of the ground block or in this case I’m using some snow blocks and just fill everything in not to the same level but just so there is some larger kind of plateaus for building on and nice smooth Curves so I’m just terraforming my way into a nice platform for the village so that involves creating these sweeping curves like this one flying up to see or building up to see that I like the shape and filling in that space then I’ll come over to the next space and Work on that creating another curve and filling in as I go and you can always take a step back and make sure you like the terrain and you can always go about removing some layers if you’d like so here you can see I’ve terraformed the space creating these nice large swooping Curves and we’ve got some larger areas that we can build on if you have two smaller areas like over here here you’re going to have a lot more difficulty placing buildings and roads on top of them but with a smooth landscape like this you can always terraform back up Some larger mountains and curves once you’ve got your buildings laid out so now we need to think about the road if we come back over to our other Village we can have a look at how I’ve laid out the road here so because I had this Large Forest off to one side I’ve had one Central Road coming down from the River and curving around and then I have most of my buildings coming off to one side I still wanted to create the effect of town center so that’s why I’ve created this area here with the gravel With the church opposite it but another option for laying out your village is to create an X kind of pattern with your town center in the middle so if we come back over here we could find the center of our land is about here on the ground So let’s mark that out I’m going to grab out some colored wool and it’s always useful to have some wool on your hand to help you lay things out and I’m going to go with some Christmas colors so let’s come down here and Mark out where our Center is that’s about Here now I think for these roads I’m going to have a town center here so I’ll create a large circle out of my road material with some roads going off in the four directions one coming down here to the river so let’s have a look at how That would look so here we go here’s another layout that you could use you can see we’ve got our main road coming up this way into the town center and then we have some other roads coming off now I’ve gone with some more straight lines for these roads over in my other Designed Village I have more curvy roads so it’s up to you this is where you can really get creative and work with your landscape if you’re working along a river another option might be to have your road follow along the shape of the river and have all of your buildings Along that once you’ve laid out your village you need to think about your row materials here I’ve used a mixture of some Cobblestone and mossy cobblestone then we’ve got some crack stone bricks and mossy stone bricks and that’s for the road itself then I’ve got some polished andesite here for the pathways And I’ve used stone bricks to create a gutter if we come all the way around this way to the town center of our village you can see that I’ve created a mixed gravel texture using not only gravel but some dead coral blocks and then with all your roadways marked out Where ready to work on the buildings so you want to allow the space for each building and then you want to allow about another building’s width in between so you can see you could almost squeeze another building in here and in there and in between each of our Buildings and that gives us some space to decorate and it also allows you to see all of the beautiful buildings from all of their sides so let’s take a look at this charming Bakery we’re going to create today you can see it’s a two-story building an item imagine that The baker lives upstairs in the Second Story materials that you’ll need for this build are on your screen now keep in mind that it’s always useful to have a few extra of each block on hand for the snowfall on top of this roof we’re going to be placing in a fully complete Roof and then removing some of the blocks so make sure you have a few extra nether brick here is the outline for our Bakery you can see the main outline of the build marked in there with the concrete and then in the concrete powder we’ve got the location of the chimney and at The front there’s where our door is going we’re going to begin our build using some stripped dark oak logs and I’m going to build up seven high in each Corner 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 like that then we’re going to take some red concrete I’m going to place one in here followed by a dark oak planks and then I’ll continue around the rest of this outline using the red concrete like that then I’m going to take some stripped dark oak logs and I’m Going to place one in here I’ll leave a too high gap for this doorway and then I’m going to just follow along this outline again so I’ll need to come out and place my logs along here for the little bay window that we creating and then I’ll follow along the Shape when we come to the side wall where we have our chimney going in I’m going to place three Cobblestone just above where we have our chimney marked out and then fill in the other two gaps with the stripped dark oak logs with that all in place we can Grab some more temporary blocks and begin marking in our windows we have a two high window here diagonally up from our chimney on the back wall I’m going to count one block in and I’ll place in two windows one on either side there should be a five block gap between them On this end wall we’re going to have a window in the center and then coming around to the front we’re going to Mark in a 2×3 rectangle here for our bay window now that we’ve got all of our Windows marked out we’re going to take some small stripped dark oak clogs and Connect up all of our posts I’m also going to take some more Cobblestone and build them to wide all the way up to that height there so you can see that I’ve left out this block closest to the window then I’m going to take some smooth sandstone and I’m Filling in all of the walls we’re going above all of our doors and our windows and then over here where we’ve got our little bay window sticking out I’m just going to continue this wall behind here like this if you’re enjoying today’s video I’d really appreciate it if you consider Liking and subscribing and check out my patreon if you’d like to support me further and get some awesome benefits like world downloads and schematics for all of my builds and access to a multi-war patreon server there we are with all of our walls in we can remove the temporary Blocks and place in some glass blocks for our Windows now I’m using plain glass here but you could easily opt to use tinted glass as well I think white glass looks really great and kind of has a frosty feel now we’re can move on and work on adding in the walls for the Second Story I’m going to start by coming to these two posts and adding on five blocks 1 2 3 4 5 like that then I’m going to count five blocks over 1 2 3 4 5 and on our sixth block I’ll add in another five high post And over this side as well 1 2 3 4 5 there we are now on this end I’m going to find the center that’s above the window and build up three High 1 2 3 and I’ll use some smooth Sandstone here to create a little Point like This I’m also going to have some more stripped dark oak logs connecting up these posts like This and with those in place I’m going to find the center of the front and back wall so that’s here here and I’m going to build up five high 1 2 3 4 5 and at the back 1 2 3 4 5 before we get filling In the walls and the roof for this story I’m going to come downstairs and I’m filling in my floor using some dark oak planks and don’t forget to fill in this little Gap here where we have our little bay window and there we go now to add in the Floor for the next store sorry I’m going to add a beam coming across this way as well as a beam coming across this way and I’m going to add in my staircase or ladder later so for now I’m going to take some dark oak slabs and fill in each of these Gaps and you can see that that’s going to create the look of some beams sticking out from the floorboards don’t forget into survival to light up below otherwise you’re going to have some mob spawning here all right there we go now that we’ve got that floor marked in let’s work on this Roof on the side we’re going to be using nether brick for our roof and I’m going to start with some stairs just making my we up like This when I get to the top I’m going to switch to another brick slab and go along like that and we’ll come back down the other Side by placing this roof in we now know where this wall needs to go so we’re going to be placing in Sandstone like this just filling in so there is no gaps between the roof and the wall but we can still access this part of the room while We’re working on this roof let’s come back outside I’m going to take some stripped dark oak logs I’m going to place one on either side like this and then two at the top I’ll then take some more of the nether brick stairs come up like this And add my slab on the very top and I’ll take a few more stairs placing them in upside down just to give the look a cleaner kind of finish we can also go ahead and work on this next section of the build I’m going to begin by marking in the location of My two windows so we have one centered on the front and back wall you can see there one block above the floor level there I’m also going to go in with some Cobblestone and fill in above here just this two wide section on the side and I’m going to create a beam going across this way like this and fill in the floor beside it with some slabs let’s go ahead and fill in these three walls next and we can replace our temporary blocks with some glass I’m also going to grab a few more Stripped dark oak glogs and I’m having them come out between the joins in the dark oak here and I’m also going to place some on either side of here at the front and the back and have them come out to at the top here There we are now we need to work on the walls on either side of these posts for this we’re simply taking our smooth sandstone and building a little L shape like This now that we’ve got all that in let’s start working on this roof we’re going to start with some stairs coming along either side and we’re actually just going to go straight in front of where this chimney is all right now for the next layer we’re going to use some more stairs but This time when we come to where our chimney is I’m going to leave both of these two blocks free next we’re on to some Blocks now for here I’m going to leave this block free on the left hand side but I can bring in the block one more over on this side and we’ve got some stairs again and these are just going to follow on top of the blocks we’ got another layer of our Bricks coming on top and you can see we’re following along the shape created by our Gable and I’m going all the way along the side for this one we’re almost at the top we’ve got our final layer of stairs coming in now and then we’ve got two layers of Bricks to finish this off I’m also going to come underneath here and place in a few more stairs upside down like this to give the same clean look that we have down Here so the shape is coming together but we need to add the details now we’re going to begin our details by working on the chimney starting down here at the base I’m going to grab some Cobblestone and build up four high on the left hand Side 1 2 3 4 as well as in the center there like this and I’m just placing in one Cobble on this side and one in the front then I’m going to place a chiseled stone brick here and then we’ve got a couple of stairs here and here like this Now if your chimney ends up being a little bit different to mine that’s totally okay we just kind of want to have it tapering as it gets towards the top all right we’ve got a stair with a chiseled stone brick and one more stair going on top of here and I might place Them like this to create this kind of pointy out shape then I’m going to have another stair right way up here and then two more stairs to create this nice curve now coming up we’re going to have two Cobblestone walls and another stair on top of that so our chimney should look like This now for the section of Chimney that sticks up above the roof I’m going to start by building up four high on the left hand side again 1 2 3 4 then on the right hand side side I’ll build up two high with Cobble then one high with Chisel stone brick and we’ll place our campfire with trap doors on top of this now behind here I’m going to place in two cobblestones that’s one on the stair and one above that then I’m going to be placing in a couple more stairs so I’m going to need to place a stair up Right way up facing this way then an upside down stair here a right way up stair on top of that off to this side we’ve got a chiseled stone brick then I’m going to add in one more cobblestone on top of here and that’s going to allow Me to place in another stair and this is where we’re going to have our second campfire followed by some trap doors like that now over to this last section of the chimney we’ll build up two high add in our chisel stone brick and our campfire and and last but not least I’m Coming back down here to the base of this part of the chimney and I’m going to place in a couple walls here and here so here’s how the whole chimney should look and from the front the smoke is blowing out onto our next details we’re working Down here at the front I’m going to be placing in four chisel stone brick below by a stair and then some Cobblestone to create this little walkway up and I’m going to add a red nether brick wall on top of each each of these like this followed by two nether brick Fences behind here we’re going to have our doorway decoration so I’m going to add in a couple of end rods now if you don’t have end rods you could substitute these for some chains or some iron bars I’m also going to create an archway using the red nether brick above the Door got two stairs and a slab in the center like this now we’re going to come over this way to our little bay window we’re going to place in a few slabs along the base like this and we’ve got two walls coming up on either side and then a few more end Rods above the window we’re going to place a nether brick and then we’ll use some more red nether brick slabs to finish off the shape like that now I’m going to come down here to the doorway now I’ll break these temporary blocks and I’m also going to remove one of the Smooth Sandstone to replace it with a red mushroom block here and I’m going to be using a birch door now onto the rest of the windows we’re going to place in a red nether brick stair with a slab on either side then we’re going to have Some walls coming up on either side of the window we’ve got a red mushroom Block in the center and then some stairs either side of that and then finally we’ve got a couple of end rods so our window frame should look like this we’re going to repeat this design on all of Our windows so let’s get working on That all of those window decorations are in so I’m going to take some green wool next and some white wool and we’re going to create the canopy above the doorway so it’s going to come out two and then one just like that we’re also going to take some Birch leaves and create some Garland so we’ve got one draping down the front here then we’ve got a little one over to the side like this got one at the back there we go and we have one over on this side as well I’m also going to grab some dark Oak fences and these are going to go all the way up the height of these posts at the bottom Story and then at the top story I’ve got some dark oak stairs and I’m placing these upside down sticking out like this I’m next going in with some dark oak fence gates along the front and the back of the top story I’m having them closed like this and then I can add a Few more fences on top of that reaching up to the top I’m also going to use these dark oak fences placing them around here on the lower story and you can see how I’m having them open for this Layer and just like we have these open fence gates on this Sandstone layer of this story we’re going to have a few more fence gates along this story as well and I’m going to even have that come in front of the chimney there Next let’s go in with some chains and lanterns I’m going to hang them down two lengths from up Here and I think we’ll go just one chain length down for this story while we’re over at this Gable we’re going to add in a few more fence gates and a couple of fences to tie in this design with the design up on the larger Gables now to add the snow drifts on top of these roofs we’re going to follow a process where we break a couple of blocks like this just following along the shape and I’m placing the in some snow blocks in their place so it’s up to you how many of these blocks you Replace but each roof is is going to be a little bit different so I think I might move this one over so we have this kind of shape once you’ve got your snow blocks in you can take some snow and just add a little bit more Dimension like This all right that’s one side done now we’re going to move on to the other side and I’m just going to follow the same process building up some snow in a couple of on the roof I think that looks pretty good onto the larger roof and I’m back in my Christmas village now with a very snow topped roof and I’ve added in a few more decorations like using these glow item frames with some concrete in to look like string lights or decorations on the Garland I’ve also gone ahead and put in some pot plants around just to bring the Bild to life and don’t don’t forget you can add some snow on top of the canopy to tie in with that snow capped look and the very last thing that we need to do to finish off the exterior of our Bakery is add in our Bakery sign so now you’ve got your Charming Bakery and the first step to creating your Christmas Village don’t forget to
