Year we have had to import custom add-ons into the Minecraft folders and then download a special older version of Minecraft from a SpongeBob add-on and then update that SpongeBob version of Minecraft to the current version of Minecraft and our add-ons would appear so what actually happened yesterday is that Microsoft completely removed the

SpongeBob version from the sh shop when a user would go to download the SpongeBob version they would press install it would show for a split second installing viewing q but then the button would switch back to install and no matter how many times you pressed on it

The version would not actually begin to install I used another method that used to work from a web browser and when I tried to install from the web browser I got the notorious error code 404 which basically always means that the page has been removed or there’s a

Problem with the site so everyone the day we have all dreaded is here the SpongeBob version is no longer on the Microsoft store meaning the reinstall method no longer works well that’s on the most upto-date Microsoft store but if we go back to an older version of the

Microsoft store we can still download that SpongeBob version of Minecraft and therefore continue getting add-ons to this day welcome everyone to our 50th workaround of Microsoft’s garbage so how do we get the older version of the store on our consoles now I’m going to tell

Really scary but to be honest it literally takes like less than 10 minutes once you know what you’re doing and although it’s called a factory reset do not be afraid as when you do this it will save all of your game data all of your Minecraft worlds no matter what

Game it is if it’s GTA whatever all of your progress will be saved the reason we have to do this factory reset is because after you factory reset your console the Microsoft store will be in an older State and it will actually begin updating itself but then you can

Cancel the Microsoft store update and as long as that Microsoft Store update doesn’t finish you will be able to go onto the store cancel the update every single time you open the app and then go ahead and download the special version of Minecraft another thing is that unfortunately after resetting your Xbox

It will reset the expansion for Explorer app meaning all of the add-ons that you currently have in your behavior and resource packs folder and every other folder will get removed and you’ll have to reinstall them all after you factory reset now I’m working on a method that

Uses an FTP server to make installing add-ons quicker but the people who have a lot of add-ons installed this can be kind of annoying and then lastly you will also have to resign into all of your Microsoft accounts on your device so if you don’t know your Microsoft

Account password and stuff on your Xbox you’ll have to know that in order to do this factory reset Method All right but enough babbling I’m just going to explain what to do if you want to still get mods so remember this is completely safe you won’t lose any worlds or game

Progress for any game you have because our goal here is to go to an older version of the shop what I like to First do is go to where it says my games and apps in the top of your screen then go down on the left side to where it says

Manage once inside of manage look at your settings right here keep my games and apps up to date and you want to make sure that that is turned off next I go ahead and I actually uninstall all the Minecrafts off of my Xbox you can keep the Minecraft preview version but all

The normal Minecrafts I get rid of now we’re actually going to reset our console so press the middle button on your controller go all the way to the right side and then go down towards the settings once inside of settings you want to scroll down to the system button

Once inside of system go to where it says console info once you’re at this screen you want to go down to where it says reset console right here and the most important step is make sure you press on reset and keep my games and app data make sure you are locked in for

This step as you do not want to accidentally press reset and remove everything don’t press that instead make sure you keep your games in apps so after pressing on that button what you want to do is go through all of the steps that it takes to factory reset it

Accounts what you then want to do is immediately go to the top of your screen to where it says my games and apps then you want to scroll down on the left side to where it says manage if you see something in the queue which you might

You just want to make sure that absolutely nothing is installing or up updating so I go down here I see five things are installing I just go to where it says cancel and you want to cancel just absolutely everything from installing or updating even if it’s not

The Microsoft store I just do this to be safe now that you’ve cancelled everything you can go ahead and open the Microsoft store on a side note if the Microsoft store doesn’t open try restarting your console but once it opens It’ll ask you for an update and

This is very important you want to cancel this update every single time you open the Microsoft store literally forever it’s going to ask you every time for an update but you want to cancel it every single time but that is all that you have to do now you have to redo all

The steps that you did to install your add-ons so you’ll actually have to reinstall expansion for explorers as it will be missing the packages folder once it’s missing the packages folder just reinstall it and it will appear you’ll then have to add in all the com down

Mojang folders I’ll have a video link Down Below on how to add in all those com. Mojang folders it can be a little bit annoying and a little bit tedious but this is that path file so all these videos will be linked down below and then just go ahead and reinstall those

Add-ons into the folders that you added in there before do the reinstall method from the SpongeBob version and then the add-ons will appear once again you’ll be able to play online all that good stuff just like before but yes everyone welcome to getting mods on Minecraft Xbox in 2024 I know it’s completely
