Good day folks it’s cortezerino and today we’re going to be building this qu Lake and yes as far as Lakes go this is a little bit on the small side so it is a qu Pond but it is a rather big koi pond so this would be great if you’ve Got a large area in your Japanese Castle complex or around your base that you need to fill up but uh it is a little bit special as well so I recommend building this if you’ve got a tall building nearby with the balcony because if we come up above that rock formation Actually forms the shape of a koish so in this tutorial I’ll show you how to build everything everything you can see right here but feel free if you don’t want this pond in particular if you’ve already got your own Pond if you just want to take the rock formation and Build that you can certainly do so and of course there’s nothing to stop you from joining this up to another body of water and just incorporating it into your base and this is how the build looks without shaders and you can find a full materials list in the video description Okay let’s get started we’re going to begin by digging out this circle in the ground and here’s the circle marked with diamond blocks so you can see how many blocks there are so just go ahead pause the video and dig this out okay once you’ve done that grab some aalia leaves And we’re just going to fill all of this in okay now what I want you to do is everywhere inside of these leaves we’re going to dig down two blocks so just go ahead and dig out all of this okay once you’ve done that grab some polished Diorite and we’re just going to run these all the way around just make sure you only place them next to those dirt blocks so don’t Place one in the corner there it’s not next to a dirt block so leave that out but uh yeah just run Around placing all of these in so that’s how you should look when you’re done and now we’re going to start placing in our stone blocks and what I’ve done is marked them out with diamond blocks just so we can see the edges and you’re able to count how many blocks there are and We’re just placing them on top of the grass here but uh everywhere where I’ve got a diamond block you will be placing Stone and I’ve put in a little grid so it’s a little bit easier to see where to place these blocks but go ahead place all of your stone blocks exactly where I’ve put my diamond blocks okay now we’re going to be doing this again but this time everywhere where I’ve placed a diamond block I want you to place a block of andesite so once again pause the video and copy those in and I know what you’re thinking Cortez has Officially gone nuts this makes no sense at all well what we’re going to be doing now is placing Stone stairs but from the aerial view it’s a little bit hard to see which direction I’ve placed them so I’ve put in these little arrows so what you want to do is everywhere where You’ve got one of these blocks we’re going to place a stone stair but you want to be facing in the same direction as the arrow so it’s pointing that way so we’re going to look in the same direction and like this one over here we’re going to look in the same Direction as the arrow and place in our stair so I’ll go up above and give you the aerial view so go ahead pause the video and copy these in just remember always always face in the same direction that the arrows pointing when you place your stone stair okay now we’re going to Do the same thing but this time instead of stone stairs we are using and theight stairs so once again pause the video here and copy in all your andesite stairs and for the bottom of your pond you can use any material you like if you want a dirtier Pond you might want to Put pods all down but I want a really nice looking clean pond so I’m going to fill in the entire bottom with sand just make sure to get all these little bits in the middle and now it’s time to fill in the entire bottom with water so we’re Just doing a single layer of water here and just make sure to go around water logging all of these stairs and there’s a few little bits in the Middle where you’ll have to place in some water as well and that’s how you should look once you’ve got everything water logged so Now we’re going to start doing some block by block building so I want you to come along to the front here this is where the head of the koi fish is so I want you to look over at that stone block right there and on top of that I’m Just going to place two turtle eggs now diagonally back from that we’re going to place a stone block with two more behind it and we’re just going to form a cross with an andesite slab in the middle and then just around this first stone block we placed we’re going to place three Andesite stairs just like that then grab two stone slabs we’ll Place one there and another and then on this side we’ll do one two and aight slabs and then we’ll do another stone slab right there and then we’re going to turn around to this side we’re going to place a stone Stair then diagonally from that an andesite slab and then one two stone slabs and then with Anders side stairs we’re going to place one 2 3 just curving them around then grab a stone button and place it there okay now if you come over to your turtle eggs and Then just move over to the right a little bit we’re going to place an andesite slab right there then some glow like and I’m going to go one two and then one just on the side of that block now behind this over near this andesite stair right here we’re going to place a Stone slab beside it then an andite slab and a stone slab and behind that slab we’re going to skip two blocks and then place a stone block and we’re going to put three stairs around that so we’ll do a stone stair then an and theight stair and then we’ll look in this direction And do another and theight stair now behind the stone block we’ll do an andesite block and we’ll put a stone slab on top okay a turn around and look at it from this side where we’ve got our andesite stair and we’re going to do a zigzag of stone slabs so starting right Here we’ll go 1 2 3 and four now we’ll look at it from this side next to that andesite block we’ll do two more stone slabs then we’ll place a stone block there with an andesite slab in front and 1 2 3 turtle eggs and we’ll turn around To the left again next to that stone block we’ll do a stone slab with another one and then a stone button okay now we’re going to move over to the tail of our koish so come all the way over here and we’re going to place a stone slab Right there and then we’ll Place another one just over here behind it with an andesite slab right next to it and then if we come over to this andesite block we’ll place an andesite slab on top with a stone button in front and now we’re going to do another aerial view and you Can place in all of these blocks this time everywhere where I’ve got a diamond block just place a dirt block or any other junk block we’re going to remove it again in a moment so here’s the aerial view go ahead and place in all eight of these blocks okay we’re going To place three trap doors and what I want you to do is always look in the same direction I’m looking when you place them so you can see we’re looking at the head of our koifish here so the first one we’re going to do is against This dirt block just against the edge of that we’re going to place a warped trapo then you can break your block hold shift and place a sole Lantern on top the next one we’re going to do is all the way on the left here so we’ll break that place Our soul Lantern and the final one is the dirt block right up the back here so same thing just against that place your warped trapo and your whoops so Lantern and for all of our other dirt blocks we’re going to do the same thing we’re going to always face in the same Direction and just go ahead and this time we’re going to Place Cherry trap doors against them so we’re doing five of these and for all of these what we’re going to do is hold Shift Place a brain coral fan and then just surround it with four lily pads just like that now I Don’t think this works on Bedrock but you might be able to come up with something similar just experiment with a few ideas and I’m sure you can come up with something pretty maybe use an amethyst Crystal so that’s how it should look when you’re finished okay now we’re Going to place a whole bunch more blocks but uh this time they’re not blocks everywhere where I’ve got a diamond block I want you to place in some seagrass so pause the video and copy in all of this seagrass but of course you could just place it wherever you want And now we’re going to do some final decoration so starting at the head of our koifish here just behind this andesite stair we’re going to place a yellow horn coral and then we’re going to turn around and face back in this direction and we’ll do a brain coral fan Just on the side of that block then just over here we’re going to go 1 2 3 sea pickles with two kelp and continuing on from here we’re going to skip these two bits of seagrass and then place in a lily pad there and one two three sea Pickles okay now we’re going to go all the way over to the tail of our koifish so come down here and just behind that stone stair we’re going to place 1 2 three SE pickles now if you take a straight line to the to the left of that We’re going to hit this block and you can put a brain coral fan on that and if we go in a straight line in this direction from our sea pickles when you get to the wall here just place in a lily pad now go to the right of this Seagrass and we’ll place a green glass pane and you can put a c pickle on top and then diagonally from that we’re going to go one two glass panes with another C pickle that won’t work on Bedrock but you can put a brown handle on top instead okay looking at our koi Fish from above again we’re going to go over to the bend in the Ko’s tail so just over here and what I’m going to do is place a yellow horn coral right there and then over here we’ll go 1 2 three sea pickles then we’re going to jump Over this block and place a large amethyst bud and then looking over at the back here we’ll place a lily so there are two total eggs at the head of our koi but I want you to come over to where we have three and we’re going to place a large amethyst Bud diagonally From that and just over here on the left we’ll do a yellow horn coral now if you go in a straight line from our Coral over to this wall here just next to that seagrass we’ll do a brain coral fan on the edge of that block and a lily pad And then you can turn around again looking at our yellow coral we just placed just to the left of that in front of the two seagrass we’re going to do one two green glass panes with a c pickle on top and diagonally from that we’ll do a single glass pane with Another sea pickle just to the left of this seagrass we’ll do a brain coral and just behind that we’ll do another large amethyst and then you can come over to where we have our glow lyen and place a horn coral fan on the side of that block Then over near this Lantern I’m going to place 1 two three sea pickles and a lily pad right there and if you turn to the right where our two turtle eggs are just in this block here we’ll do a brain coral and we’re going to look at the Head of our koi fish again but this time we’re going to look at it from the opposite direction so just up this little channel of water here I want you to place one two three sea pickles and beside that a brain coral fan on that block and now there’s only one thing Left to do grab a few buckets of tropical fish it is a very big koi pond it’s a koi lake so you’re going to need lots and lots of fish so go ahead and put all of these in so that’s it guys that is how to build my koi Lake which Is actually just an oversized Koi pond but uh I’ve already got a video called a koi pond tutorial so this one’s a lake thanks for watching guys leave a like on the video If you enjoyed it and I’ll see you next time Video Information
