Mod is what they’re a lot of times called a library mod or a compatibility mod if you don’t install that it’ll tell you when you launch Minecraft with the original Mod like if you launch bom of plenty without Tera blender it’ll come up and say Hey you need Terra blender

Download Java and then you want to make sure you’re downloading it for Windows and then you want to download the x64 installer here from there you just run it like any other program and it installs Java generally 90% of the time you’re good to go at that point some of

You still won’t have the right icons you might not be able to open files with Java after getting Java 17 and that means you need to run the jarfix this is also linked in the description down below with a full guide and basically step one get Java then run the jarfix

And then you will 100% be able to open up Forge and get Minecraft mods um unfortunately this is the downside of installing Minecraft mods and it’s something that so many people miss and just give up on installing fors and getting mods because of it nevertheless let’s go ahead and install fors because

You should now have Java so right click on Forge click on open with click Java and click okay that opens up the mod system installer for Forge where all you’ve got to do is Click install client here and click okay and it will download and install Forge using Minecraft or

Using the mod system install for Forge in 1. 120.4 in this case but on whatever version you’re installing Forge 4 unless it doesn’t give you this message if it pops up and it’s not successful it doesn’t work what do you do well first you want to make sure Minecraft and the

Minecraft launcher are closed if either of those are open this just won’t work alternatively some of you may be following along with this video not for the most recent version of Minecraft if you downloaded for example the 1. 120.4 or even an older version of Forge

When installing Forge but once you get that successful message go ahead and click okay close out of the forge installer you can actually delete the forge file from your desktop let’s go ahead and install our Minecraft mods to do that we want to open up Minecraft

With Forge now I already kind of went through the process of creating a new installation if you need to because sometimes Forge won’t create its own installation in my case it has we can click this little arrow here select Forge click play and click play again

Right up here at the top you me need to scroll away to find yours if we had installed 1.12 for example it’s going to be a ways down here before you find it you can also search so if we search for 1. 120.4 for example we can see the

Forge version there if you were to search for 1.12 if you had that one installed it would be there as well nonetheless there we go we’ve now got that selected I’m going to change my resolution so you can see better once we get in game and then click create now we

Have this new simple gam hosting.com profile that most importantly has 1.2.4 d4ge under it hover over this click play and click Play Again Minecraft will now open up with Forge installed that’s the hard part the hard part is installing Forge if you have made it this far you

Have made it 90% of the way there because now all we’ve got to do is install our mods I’ll meet you on the Minecraft main menu to do exactly that from the Minecraft main menu we can see that Forge is installed now you may not

Have Forge beta up here at the top but you will have Forge in the bottom left that’s an indication it’s working another is well there’s a mods button here so that mods button’s there well you can add mods cuz that’s not normally in vanilla Minecraft so go ahead and

Click on mods here and then all we’ve got to do is click on open mods folder in the bottom left again that was from the main menu click mods and then the open mods folder button in the bottom left to open our mods folder now any

Minecraft mods we want we can just drag and drop into this mods folder assuming they’re for the Minecraft version we’re playing and for the forge mod loader so as you can see we’ve got Journey map boms of Plenty and Terra blender all dragged and dropped into the mods folder

Here we can go ahead and click done and then quit Minecraft yep you’ve got to restart Minecraft after you add mod mods so you’ll want to go ahead and quit it and then open it back up using the same way we just did you want to make sure

That you’re playing Minecraft with Forge luckily you’ve already got a forge installation either the one that was there by default or the one you created so you can go ahead and play Minecraft using that installation clicking play again to confirm your playing mod in Minecraft now at this point Minecraft’s

Going to open up and our mods are there we can confirm this because well if we go into the mods button there they are Terra blender bombs of Plenty and journey map not every mod you install is going to be over here for by the way if

You add OptiFine to Minecraft it’s not going to be here you’re only going to be able to see its features by going into options and video settings but we don’t have OptiFine we only have these three mods ter blender bombs of plyy and journey map let’s go ahead and check
