ULTIMATE Minecraft Modpack – Insane Building Skills!

Hello everyone and welcome back to Old mods nine we are back and let me tell you these past few episodes um they’ve been pretty good I I’ve really enjoyed what we’ve done I think we’ve not only made great progress in terms of our resource generation I will say

Um but I think what we’ve also done has been pretty cool I’m I’m definitely I’m a fan of this monstrosity I I I want to work on that some more but let’s be honest we’re probably not going to touch it for quite a while until we need something I guess generated in the

Masses uh faster than we currently are um but last episode we jumped into one of the new mods in the Modpack it’s not a new mod but it’s new to the Modpack and that is of course mechanism and right here we have most things automated like genuinely a

Lot of things automated we’ve got um the infusing factory automated now this in the past has been always a little bit tricky um in regards to using filterings and stuff because unlike all the other machines that just have an input and an output um it has you know some of them have

These extra bits where you put an extra ingredient in but like this guy the um osmium compressing Factory or if compressing Factory I’m pretty sure it’s an awesome yeah it’s an osmian compressor but I’m guessing ultimate osmium compressing Factory was too long okay I’m getting my words Twisted but

You get what I mean this guy only uses osmium the infusing factory this guy uses a bunch of various different uh I guess infusing ingredients uh that depend on different ingredients blah blah blah blah um and so yeah we’ve actually managed to automate that guy he’s hooked up with um

A barrel he sends one ingredient or one recipe at a time and a modular router to send the items into specific sides I didn’t realize you could do that with uh the modular router so you can actually specify a side to place them in um which is pretty cool sweet so here’s

Awesome so what is going to happen this episode oh I’ll be honest it’s always a surprise even for myself I’m never too sure you know just how much will get done it’s all it’s exciting it’s also sometimes scary because we get nothing done

Um so I do have an idea I have a rough idea that I’ve sort of been thinking about it once again we’ll see how we go I would like to automate just uh my brain’s going too fast for my tongue um two options I’ll propose both to you and

Then we’ll sort of decide as we go option number one is I just make like the five machines or however many machines we need to set up the um or multiplying and your more than duplication the all processing system right from start to finish so the crystalline uh whatever he is this guy

Here the chemical dissolution chamber um all the way on to all the other stuff you know the chemical washer the crystallizer so on so forth set up one of each of those just so that we know what we need and how to do it that’s option number one

Option number two and it’s not too different but I place it somewhere and in such a way that we can expand it the the difference between the two options would be that I’d have to you know redesign a an expandable area later but at the same time it’s gonna it’s

Gonna take a lot more effort to make it um expandable now right I think it’s worth doing because I do plan to process everything that we have through this machine and if it’s small ah even if it can keep up that’s just the sign that we need more resources you

Know what I mean so I want it to be expandable that’s what we’re gonna do Okay cool so first things first chemical dissolution chamber we need one of these what I could do oh here’s an idea what if I preemptively get two of every machine

Because then I I’m sort of forced to at least to some degree make it expandable in the future right the smart idea the machines by the way there might be a bit too ah no they’re pretty much in line with grass and stuff I think it’s fine um

Have we got that cool two chemical dissolution Chambers they do not stack I believe because they have like different energy values and whatnot that’s fine whatever it’s cool um and where are we putting this obviously we’ve got this area here ah all of my designs I feel like I just

Threw them in a line you know I mean like we’ve got this line we’ve got this line that never really came to fruition we’ve got um this line of machines and then we’ve got like the vertical line over here we’ve got lines I mean is what else could we do we could

Do a circle but I feel like it would just end up being a line another line and another line even this is just like you know I mean I guess I’m playing Minecraft like I can’t really do much more than just lines I don’t know what I’m hoping

For here I guess I’m hoping for like something a little bit more a little bit more messy I mean it’s it’s funny saying that looking at this base but I don’t know I think I don’t know uh what do I do oh you know oh oh hold on

Hold on this just in the memory has sent me a memory the brain has sent me a memory the underwater all processing I said it’d be glorious did I not I said it was my early on in the series I prophesied this marvelous underwater processing plan

I’ve got to do it don’t I I’ve got it the only problem is that this is no longer like the front of my base and so it can look cool there but I’ll never see it uh what if I just ah I hate this I hate this okay what can we

Do what can we do I really don’t what if we do it out this side over in here let’s um but then we’ve got all these mobs flying through oh my God this is horrible we’re gonna do it somewhere over here um no we’re not okay I’ll be back I

Clearly clearly we’ve got some bigger fish to fry you know what’s horrible I really I kind of want to put it like in this part here and then like connect it to this area here but our our section here is so laggy like like frame rate Wise It’s

Like it’s not horrible I guess but like over here we’ve got what like around between 30 and 50 right frames and it’s the 30 frames that really hurts what about over here like is it still that bad we’re getting about 60 we can make it work over here frame rate wise I think

I almost it almost feels worse than it is what do you reckon you guys are probably like I reckon you start building mate you’re definitely riding in saying that and then we’ve just got a beautiful view of it yeah I’ve I think I’m selling it to myself

I think I’m on board we do something here okay all right I’m going to oh I know what to do I’m gonna make all of this dirt so that we have like a bit of a platform to work with we’ll build there and then we’ll um as we make it expandable we’ll

We’ll pick a direction probably that way and I’ll build some oh oh it’s all coming I’ve got a picture we’ll have like big not fully glass tubes but big tubes with like glass going through them under there maybe that could be cool let’s I I think it could work at the

Very least let’s go ahead and switch to the building Gadget we’re going to get blinded by the bright light in front of us Jesus um we’re going to I think just bump this up to Max and just hit that a few times sweet now it says we don’t have the item

Obviously as you can see it’s red um but I believe it’s pulling it from the Dank so you know a bit of a mix there um cool let’s do go where else do we want to go here that’s nice I mean hey hey how neat is the building Gadget it’s

Pretty cool I I am a big I am a big fan okay uh yeah I’ll I’ll tidy this up not completely because I still do want like this nature part here we always could have it like oh you know what I mean like that could look nice um okay I present to you

New area um so the grass will spread down here and it’ll look nice and then we can you know start industrialifying it oh oh my god I’ve done it I’ve done look I’ve got just Visions flowing they call me Mystic Mr Creator um and ironically we’re going to use create

I want to have a lab door here so that it’s nice and natural we have like a lab door not as impressive as a yogg’s lab we’re not going to get a yogs lab door okay we might get it oh that’d be imagine just a Giant die now we’ll have a little

Door here like uh we’ll probably make it out of create maybe not initially but I’ll you know I’ll set up some create door later and then that will lead into the ah awesome all right cool nice um so we’re going to want to be on the other side of said door which means

Either I building this area already and preemptively get it ready for um what I’m gonna do yeah let’s do that let’s do that so um we’re gonna do a little bit of building just while we try and uh I guess pre-design this area a little bit

So I’m gonna have this part coming out here am I gonna drown I was like three have I solved the drowning problem I’m like Iron Man here how’d you solve the drowning problem oh no I’m an urban dire stand you know and Nature’s like yeah so I just solved

The drowning problem what drowning problem that’s what people sound like when they drown they they sound like yeah you know okay that’s everything’s fine I’ll give me a second I’m alrighty so I’ve I’ve got like a little Corridor look it’s it’s made of dirt okay that’s that’s how I’m gonna start

This off so you know get your hype uh your hopes up um what I’m gonna need to do is to solve some clay that will get us Kayla Knight which allows us to actually make sponges and I’m just going to give that an attempt at um doing what we want so we

Should be able to make it in a combiner so we’ll need calcium carbonate which I guess we’ve gotten from something yeah we’ve got about a thousand of it and then we’re gonna need this Kayla Knight um that is not spelled the way that I thought it was so let’s try sponge again

What do I need here I need CAO or sorry Kao and we’ve got kale on it cool um so this stuff in a combiner um oh we’ve got some egg potential in there let’s Chuck in oh calcium that goes there let’s unlock the recipe ah and Chuck that in what was that gonna

Make sorry oh I was gonna make some dust cool awesome um so let’s Chuck this in there get those up to be the same amount boom cool and is he going to get us some sponges and that sounds pretty good so sponges boom and these are obviously

Like infinite I’m pretty sure once they soak up water you can just smelt them to get rid of more the other thing I don’t know is how um if the sponge is gonna soak up water from the outside of this area I’m guessing not but I also don’t really know okay

Okay yeah I need to hit the roof don’t I or else it’s just gonna like flow back in cool so we’ll grab some more sponges get the rest of this and then soak up the bits on the ground cool all right so then I just picked

This up it doesn’t explode into a pool of of uh water nice okay so far the tube is in motion the idea here is that I can replace the walls with um the exchanging Gadget at a later date that’s that’s the idea um I probably do just want a three by three door

So I guess this is just gonna be like double roof potential or something I’m not I don’t know what we’re doing here but that’s fine um so then the question is how do we want the actual lab to work because obviously I don’t think I just want a a single tube so possibly

Over in this area is going to look nicer I think than over in this area and I guess a little bit further away from the mobs we make um I almost want it to be a sphere I don’t know how difficult that’s going to be do we have

In the past there was a mod called cyclic a really fun mod and it had an item that was cold I think it was called the shape Builder and what it would do is it would show you um like um different shapes and then you could

Place blocks where you want them to I think it would also build the stuff for you I think it was a builder um now you might be able to do that with the rf2s builder um yeah I’m not too sure there what would I even search template no it’d be like a

Hologram something um I guess I can manually map out a a circle ish does this guy do circles hmm okay all right I’ve got an idea it opens up here so this is going to be the exit of our tube and then it’s going to go into the sphere um

It won’t be a spirit be more like a dome we’re building some sort of Dome I still want it to be three by three ah this whole episode’s gonna be building isn’t it I I think we can do both yeah I think we can though

Um so I’m just gonna have this going out probably to about here just because I think it is nice to have like a little bit of connection and then we’re going to have the the thing under here it might even breach some of the land I’m not I don’t really know what we’re

Doing okay spoiler alert it’s I don’t really have that much of a plan oh hold on hold on hold on hold on isn’t there a vanilla heart of the sea which we’re getting from I think we actually got it from a buried treasure we could oh it also looks hold

On can you craft this Diamond S and Squid Essence Nautilus shells and prismar in essence craftable um this guy plus Nautilus shells which were I think we’re getting from yeah Beach creepers we can make a conduit and I think this thing just lets you breathe underwater in a certain radius

So I could slap him here for example right and then sure I think you have to you have to do something with it don’t you have to activate it somehow I don’t know how vanilla works let me let me search um Minecraft can’t do it let’s have a look

Let’s see what it is it’s a beacon-like block called the conduit um uh-huh okay uh-huh okay okay okay okay okay you actually you you do activate it let me oh God everything I’m struggling hold on Hold On by the way just a public service announcement if you have the meta store open

Just monitor the RAM usage because today again it’s twice now two completely different days completely different weeks that um the store is used over 10 gigabytes of RAM like in a browser in my in my web browser and I was like what the it’s crazy um so what we need is we need

Prismarine which we have a ridiculous amount of so we go ahead and turn that into some prismarine I guess what can I do with this do I have uh any prettiness that I can do it’ll make it look a little bit nicer than it currently does can I do like polished or something

I could make some workbench it oh let’s go ahead and do that I happen to know that we’ve got some up in this oh so fast um up here boom uh what’s the most magical looking block that we’ve got um um uh this one that’s just yeah whatever

All right so you build a frame around it it also has to be surrounded by water so it needs to have water around it in a three by three as in that that’s the water it needs and then it also needs a five by five frame around it

So I’m going to start taking damage here in a second that’s fine remember back in the day where you could just pop your head up top and you wouldn’t get uh like you wouldn’t drown those were the days um so a frame around the three by three so this

No not that hold on I feel like no maybe this hold on no not that no not this that looks ridiculous I swear it’s just like man I don’t know what’s happening okay okay okay okay okay okay I’ve got I’ve got a picture I I found a

Picture of it so what we need is a five by five as as said but what we can do is we can do a little pattern so for example we do five like that and like that and so that’s now a five by five right like that’s five and that’s five the

Next thing we do is we get a little bit more oxygen come back under one two three four um that’s actually already five so there we go that’s five turn that into a plus as well and if you do this on every side you then get the benefits now

I think this is worth setting up maybe maybe if you had um a building template of it that would be pretty good because then you could just uh like paste the thing down instead of having to build it every time but assuming that I can get this guy done

Then it should be worth it boom can I come on really I was hoping it would just work like while I’m in here yeah you know what it could be these things although they’re prismarine they’re not prismarine you know what I mean maybe it maybe it needs to be proper authentic prismarine

So let’s go ahead and change this to the exchanging Gadget and give that an attempt because think I’ve built it right I’m pretty I’m pretty sure uh so we’ll up this massively um if I do fuzzy I think that’ll work no okay let’s not do fuzzy it’s undo fuzzy

Um yeah it’s fine we can probably make that work now if we hit every single face of this oh there we go sure enough that uh that was it there we go so now this guy’s working as you can see the oxygen is not going down

The thing looks pretty cool and I can build nice so back to building we’ll dig this up literally right after we finish building this thing so um once again my idea here is that I will build the um Dome okay that’s the plan so I guess Buckle

In for my Dome building uh possibilities now what’s a good size I’m planning to automate all the stuff here I think I’m gonna have to do vertical strips for each thing like everything’s gonna have to be vertical because I’m limiting myself to a dome right yeah okay sure all right

Um in that case it probably doesn’t need to be massive um currently if I did this that’ll be what um one two three four five so that would be an 11 by 11 if I did it this far so the question is yeah just how far do

I want to go oh that’s not the block how far do I want to go before we start um doming you know what I mean start turning in because I can start going here a little bit and the question is sort of like how

Much do we do like do I do three and then we go like two and then you know like I don’t know the worst part is at some point I need to replicate this so whatever I do here has to be replicated at a further Point as well okay

Um so it’s not so much a dome as it is a bit of an oval I guess at this point like that’s sort of that’s the shape I’ve got um we can we can definitely chop it down in terms of visualizing this Dome realistically I need to have

Yeah I guess like this part needs to be like the same just like that that would it would look unique but I don’t know if it captures the vision I want you know what I mean there’s another option we could remove the Dome idea

Build it off here as in have this go all the way along here maybe underwater hear me out here just purely for the fact of like like underwater dome’s been done weird shape I’m doing at the moment hasn’t been done for obvious for obvious reasons um but if I bring this over

And we line that up um with the entrance here right and we have that come out So currently like this would I guess would be underground we could have this part be as high as it is and have it be like a um sloped down you know what I mean so this

Will all be wall along along this part here this is all beach wall all along there and then this part all gets dug out so it’s a massive wall and then this big area clear you know what I mean I I kind of like it

I don’t know how we’ll do it but I I do genuinely like it um yeah once again don’t know how we’re doing it but uh we’ll give it a shot we’ll give it a whirl once again I don’t necessarily want it to be phenomenal I wanted to

Um what’s this horizontal row oh that might be a problem I don’t know where it’s horizontal Road the rest of that into just there hopefully um I don’t want it to yeah be perfect I want a functional room at this point um the rest of it we can we can make

Happen at a later date I think um I will also I think I’ll stay one underneath the water keep that visual effect and so yeah I’m just gonna go across here and just like I guess just build this up this up oh actually yeah how far do I want to go

Because at some point it has to start curving if not already to complete my visual and so this will ideally be glass as well I’m thinking maybe uh I don’t know if it’ll all be glass but there’s gonna be glass involved okay all right I honestly you might see it

Now a bit more of what I was talking about I had to fix up the wall event some of you may have caught when I first made it it was bit off but it should be symmetrical we’ve got the wall happening here I had to dig up the conduit but

Honestly it’s probably worth placing it down again purely because it is so annoying going up and down after the year but we’re almost there we’re almost to the point where I can like roof it off uh put some like glass all the way up at least or something like that and then um

Yeah and then see how we are now once again I yeah I I don’t even know how this is gonna look when it’s done even if I do it the way that I think I’m gonna do it you know what I mean so I don’t know wish me luck

Also I should mention as well um the comments on the last video I I believe specifically I I mentioned you know the fact that some people watching like she says oh you’ll never hear from them and like that’s not even a bad like that’s a good thing you know what I mean because

It means that they’re just comfortable watching it’s sort of like I I think it’s the equivalent of like um you know how you hear like you know you’re like um you know oh hey can I come over to your house and it’s like oh yeah you can that’s like someone

Commenting it’s like oh that’s that’s nice but then like the people that you don’t hear from they’re the people who they just shot because you know they know what to expect they’re there you know um or at least I don’t know that’s I guess an analogy

Um and we had quite a few comments from people uh that were you know lurkers and and whatnot so um it was very nice to see so thank you guys for stopping by um you you are free to go back to lurking um it was it was nice hearing from you

Um yeah very very nice comments um so I wanted to acknowledge it I guess in the video um because it’s nice and I mean obviously yeah I I think it is good to I guess bring attention to that sort of stuff oh we broke our tour it’s been a while

Since that’s happened I think um what am I what am I doing here what’s it called I don’t know silent yeah I know what the mud’s called let me tell you that much instead of your repair kit that has a bunch of I believe we’ve chucked uh yeah endurium in there

Um endurium if you will and that’s what’s uh letting us repair our Crimson steel this guy can’t up himself can’t wait for him to spawn in the uh the building we make that’ll be fun the length of this as well is almost perfect for doing those large tunnels it

Is a little bit concerning that I’m going to rip a hole through the wall and you know then I just have to clean it it’s not the end of the world but I’d rather not have to clean it up you know um but but this is actually this might be one of our

Most creative builds if you will aesthetically I guess um a lot of what we build is very typical I I guess you would say I’ll come through and clear the yours with just like shapeless or something I just wanted to have pump I’ve ripped up half

Of my uh can’t do it that’s fine okay I believe we have done it we have quite a nice looking uh area if I say so myself um all cleared out so cleared out a wonderful section let’s see what it looks like with them get some terrain around it I’d say nice

Um now as for the glass do I just I could probably just put glass right across as it is at the moment or I could try to do a doming effect ish you know what I mean so I have this part start sort of flat but then sort of oh I guess

I don’t know it’s almost like a space helmet that yeah that might be a better explanation of what we’re doing here sort of like a space helmet now do we go for connecting glass I don’t even know um I do know that we’re going to need at

Least a thousand glass probably more but a thousand’s a good start uh we’ll start off with connecting once again worst case we have uh the exchanging tools so we can just fix it up um so yeah how do I want to do this because I could just start here you know

What I mean start up this I think the play will be to do like half at a time so I can sort of really get a vision for what it’s going to look for before I guess doing the whole thing um and yeah even then I don’t really know what we’re going for

All right so I kind of I had it looking very uniform and symmetrical and I’ve kind of broken it up a little bit on purpose like um you know just adding some bits in not thinking about it too much in hopes that that gives it a little bit

More of an effect or something and then what I’ll do is I’ll line it up perfectly halfway copy it try to flip it or something we’ll see if we can do that now to find the middle I’m just going to go ahead and grab the tape measure Chuck that guy there

Um and I mean that’s the middle 19 and it’s perfect right there so it’s obviously not even which actually is a bit of a problem for I guess the thing we’re doing at the moment but it’s fine um and then all I need to do is go

Through here and just click on all of these um with my building Gadget and that should be good or I guess I could do this I could go boom boom boom boom boom that that works too I guess okay so that’s a little over half of it done

What do we think so far do we like it arguably I could have gone for the clear glass I will admit that but once again we can we can exchange it out once it’s done I want to just get it clear empty of water then we can cross that bridge

Um so what we’re gonna try and do is copy paste Gadget we’re going to double check what do we have we have rotate we have random we have settings materials and inventories we don’t have flip we don’t have flip and I’ll be honest I want it flipped I don’t think rotate flips it

Right like row table just spin it in in the taxis right whereas I want to literally mirror it across um so we’re not going to use the copy paste Gadget but don’t fret we may have another so um first of all if we search a schematic sometimes there’s different mods like I

Guess the schematic analyzer from my colonies but what I’m mainly after is this guy here schematic and quill from create so this guy I’m pretty sure he has a flip but we’re gonna find out um so we need some light blue um let’s go ahead and just search it the

Lights uh lights blue that’s obviously going to be um bermere white oh I gotta open my system birming a white and um some blue so easily done um so that will be some empty schematic we will get a schematic in quill awesome and then we can put it to work so what

We’re trying to do here is obviously copy and paste this structure now what we can do is we can find the center part so here um oh I can right click I guess don’t Crouch right click and then oh I can leave this area we can come over to this

Part over here I can hold crutch so that it lines it up I guess I can show you under here we can uh I guess just yeah place there I can right click here and we now have this structure selected now it’s got some dirt and stuff selected but that should be fine

Um and so I think if I right click again we can name this so I’m going to say half um half thing this is the half thing I’m going to save and upload it so I’ll just put it on the server um and it’ll save it so it’s

Halfthing.nbt so now what we do is as you can see I’ve got this schematic and it has um I guess an area now if I toggle with my shaders can we see it not currently okay um what if I were to um place it um under the water or something

It would be a great spot let’s let’s right click here oh there we go this is obviously the structure that we’ve got um the rest of it’s underwater you can’t see see it when you’re in the other spot um so what do we do now well

We should be able to move it around um if we look down here currently I can move it on its x and z axis by scrolling and looking at it I think maybe hold oh hold not yeah I don’t have a bound let’s go controls keybinds category create Focus schematic overlay

Um I think usually it’s like control or shift I’ll do control there we go so now if I hold control um I can oh I can how do I how do you move it then I swear that’s what you used to do um hold on can be positioned using the tools on the

Screen I get that but it won’t actually move it um point of this community hold control and scroll to push it I I think I’ve doubled up accidentally okay let’s search key control okay um huh a little bit um slightly confused by what I’m looking at point at the schematic and control

Scroll to push it but that that’s how I’m changing the thing okay maybe I’ll try a different button then sorry I I don’t know what’s going on here let’s let’s do shift I swear it’s shift so you hold shift and you can change the modes and hold Ctrl and

Scroll yeah there we go to move it around so we hold Ctrl and you look at a certain face and you can scroll backwards to pull it closer scroll away to push it further Cool If We Hold shift um and scroll we can move the y axis so

We can move it up and down we can change the position which I guess just changes to this location we can rotate it and we can mirror it here we go so control scroll that flips it on that axis I would like it the other way around like

That perfect and now we just have to line up so we can go back to um the z-axis we can bring it back here now um I believe we don’t want the middle part so we actually want to scroll it one extra block across so that the middle part will overlap

Um then we’ll go to the y-axis we’ll scroll it down and we just need it to be one below so that is the right um height then we just move it back one way scrolling it that way and as you can see it’s lined up perfectly

As you can see it overlaps in here and there it is now it’s obviously got that guy schematic and we don’t need that but I think as long as we don’t put those ingredients in it should be fine it should just build the rest of it so I’m going to go ahead and

Call it there I’m going to say that I’m happy with that the next thing I’ll do is I will need a schematic Cannon this guy here also known as the schematic Cannon he needs a dispenser and then some blocks of iron and he also needs gunpowder so we’ll take a stack of that

Out and he will need a chest uh filled with goodies so we’ll just grab an iron chest hopefully that’ll work oh I’m scrolling stuff did that move it are we good okay you need to be careful with create your scroll and your whole base is gone

Um let’s move it off our Hopper there we go so I am going to place the schematican in here there he is I’m going to place chest next to him um this guy is going to get the schematic um that should be good I’m going to go ahead and press play see

How the gunpowder I’m gonna put the gunpowder in and I’m not going to do that yet we’re going to change the settings so don’t replace solid blocks um we can leave that off replace solid with solid that’s fine replace solid with empty skip missing I want to skip

Missing blocks I only want it to have oh we’ll see um this is fine I think I am okay with this I’m gonna put the gunpowder in I’m gonna click ready it says it’s need Stone so I don’t care about the stone but before we begin I am going to put in

Um why dirt why am I thinking dirt no we’re not gonna put in dirt why’d they think dirt we’re gonna put in a bunch of uh connecting glass so we’ll search glass go ahead and uh Chuck this here grab a bunch there we go we might uh I ordered

A thousand and I used about 500 it looks like we’ll order another thousand and I think I’ll make it all into the schematics or at least you know fill the rest of my inventory yeah that should be fine and hope that that is good enough

So they can go there and so I’m going to go ahead and toggle skip missing blocks and there we go as you can see it shoots out the glass I’m going to go ahead and increase my entity range for all of these which might lower our frame rate it probably should

Um just to make sure that we can actually see it happen so as you can see it it does the thing now this is dangerous be careful when you do this but I do have a time in a bottle that can speed things up

So there we go how cool is that and so as you can see it’s building it through here it’s about to have the Home Run of just doing the top part in a second I mean that’s pretty cool right and so yeah that’s that’s the schematics in the schematic cannons okay
