stream yesterday and uh so I did uh and I Turned the camera off so that I was in my PJs I didn’t want to accidentally go to a scene where I you know you’d see me in my PJs so I switched the power off and then it never turned back on which is not quite true um actually give me a second I posted a photo of the current status of my camera in Discord so I I tried to diagnose what was going wrong um like so there’s basically an error saying uh my entire camera just had a big black screen and it said try turning it off And on again but it just wouldn’t work so if it was off it stayed on and it was on it had the airor message um and Googling it it said I probably had a shutter issue and then so I went and uh took off the lens and then as you see Right there that is the camera shutter and uh camera shutters are supposed to exist in one of two states uh open or closed um not halfway or 2/3 in this particular case so that sucks so I need to try and find a uh a camera repair Place and see if they can repair it uh if not yikes I don’t know I don’t I don’t love that I don’t love that one bit Oh I thought we did um I thought we did like um a joking vtuber thing at one point where like I hold for the regular Stone i’ do like a natural Cave and then so we do like a little water section with some dripstone above it and like you know whatever and then for the ores I do a m shaft and so you like it’s all Stone but then we put in like Spruce pillars so we like walk through and it Looks like mines and then we’d have like uh mine carts and stuff running through it as well uh now that I say it out loud I think I think this is the the right way to do it you like both of these ideas awesome so here’s a question for you Which one would you like to see first uh do you want to start with uh the mines or the natural cave right caves are mine in chat we got cave cave cave mines cave cave all right looks like team cave is in the is in the lead Here well that’s fine because for both of them the the beginning is remarkably similar mimes uh no Mr mimes around here actually illegal all right so first things first uh I’m going to put in the floor and the base Cod of the floor is just going to be own for Now the Lost caverns of Exelon wait I could just reclaim all of this have any idea how expensive calide is GH calite it’s very funny to me that I spent all this time putting in Netherrack just to come in and remove it all but you know What here we are all right uh and it is also worth mentioning that for this room in particular we are going to be um we’re going to be basically covering the all the windows cuz I don’t think this room makes sense to have Windows in it if that makes sense Am I on the or side or the uh the cave side good job [Laughter] Serge well let me put in a base floor uh and then what I’m going to do is I’m going to uh do the same thing on the other side in my old Museum we did have an Exhibition room that covered windows because the instulation worked better that way yeah and is it is it fine I mean I guess it’s going to look a little weird from the outside but like it is what it is right oh I don’t think I’m going to use this little nook by the Way would dark gray glass work or something what do you mean no no no we’re just going to cover the windows it’s a cave right like this exhibit is supposed to be underground I don’t think underground works if all of a sudden we just have a Bright window into it so my only worry is it might look a little bit weird from the outside but like whatever there’s actually an interesting um building trick I’ve seen some people do but if I wanted to do that I’d have to do it on Um a couple more of the windows but you can do um like honey blocks and a light source behind it and it makes the window look like it’s glowing which is kind of cool I imagine it’ll just look fine because again when you’re looking at it from the Outside you’re looking at it from s such a distance that you probably don’t even notice that there’s uh some of the windows are blocked off I’m not going to worry about it too much I think the trick though is just to make sure I don’t put it directly like Directly here so I think if I give it a little bit of a gap which shouldn’t be too hard more stained glass so the problem is from the outside keep in mind that what we have is a bunch of symmetrical repeating patterns right so I can’t Change one window or like one group of five windows in the whole block or it’ll call even more attention to it right it’d be like picture a house on a street and then all of a sudden one of the windows is red they just like it has a bright red Glow in it and you’re you’re thinking to yourself man what’s going on with that one red window right everything else is normal except for that one window which is different so like the idea of the idea of changing one exterior window to make it work from the inside uh causes More problems than it fixes if that makes sense so you kind of got to you kind of got to think of it in like a broader context too wait did that literally use nine Stacks oh man no yeah nine Stacks nine stacks if you looked at this room and you had To give an estimate as to how many blocks it would take would you have guessed nine Stacks does that number scare you as much as it scares me you would [Laughter] now you’re chronic Interesting question real museums we don’t really do that because of accessibility but you don’t have that concern here yeah I put signs in the rooms to explain the exhibits I think it’ll just look really busy if I do that so here’s an example of a finished exhibit this is The wrong way here’s the example of a finished exhibit and the problem is signs are just so big in Minecraft right like if I filled this full of signs I think it would look really busy whereas at like an actual Museum you might be able to have a little like Placard that’s a fraction of the size of a sign if you put an entire Minecraft Sign it’s like right like they’re that big so to answer the question is asked probably not room looks great thank You all right so the next thing I need to do is I need to add a ceiling to this uh so let’s for this cave try and make the general shape of the room Um hanging signs are still equally busy Unfortunately All right first things first get chisel and bits no Please any you think but that I already don’t have time H Oh you know what I didn’t put a torch it was actually on top of the Cave all right and then so this has to be the floor of the above level so there’s a limit to how high we can go Here which is this height right Here All right so this is the maximum height and uh let’s see how we end up here you know got to love trying to make random organic shapes in Minecraft right I wonder how cave like this is going to look I kind of just winged it it has been wonged you know What that’s not half bad right like just give it just give it a little bit of little bit of fixing up on on some of these shapes here The Secret of this sort of thing is due to least amount of planning possible yeah now we want to make this wow I use So many resources we want to make this as dripstone cave as possible now do dripstone caves have water in them question mark I think they do right cuz that’s that’s what makes the drippity of the dripstone right sometimes they can all right okay so let’s start with this so I think the First thing I need to do start replacing some of these blocks yeah they do have water in them okay right we need to get more we need to get and then this is the lighting Change of that’s a torch pre 1.18 uh the green area is how much safe area a torch gave you uh and now post one 18 the blue area is how much coverage one torch gives you to come in and texture those Blocks um there was a suggestion to maybe put in some Mossy Cobble which I kind of dig TBH so we’ll we’ll try and do that when we do the when we do the uh the slab ification pacification everyone will clap I know it well actually give me a second here this might be Done in that in that we’ve got like the the exhibits and then we’ll fill in the cave and we’ll texture the rest of it you know you plan to exhibit the exhibits what do you mean the items we don’t display the items this is the the plan has never been to Display all the items there are 1,500 items that is too many also the way to display items in Minecraft would be really boring your options are place it on the ground or place it into an item frame so the idea is the idea is an homage Fun fact if you collect 1500 items per day you would have 1,500 items after one day I don’t believe you doesn’t make sense also no counting before 11 please the math checks out does it though extremely important question does it actually check out ah I mean you know you know What so some things that we’re missing uh we’re missing other colors of stone uh so we have a little bit of granite uh we have a little bit of diorite right oh we’re going to go through and do stones and slabs after we got a whole Pass we’re not just leaving it a stone chat don’t worry we’re going to do a little bit of color because we’re also missing some other stuff should be lava on the other side of the geode um I don’t think I want lava um one of the things that’s going To feel really missing in this is I’m not going splotches but not do gradien thing or texturing if that makes sense what you built a stone statue to your musician that will surely drawn the Crowds people love rock stars oh Gunner oh Gunner you what let’s try one bigger room here um and does that work not quite I want to try and do like a mining camp down here we’ll make do like a make Believe area that this is where you know the workers in this area is I also want to display a bunch of the um rail blocks so I guess one of the cool things we can do is we can put a bunch of the ores like each of these little Corners can be dis from one kind of excited to do is add uh depth add depth behind a lot of the builds by doing stuff like uh sort of like that like you break through and then behind it just to show that they’ve been mining in some places you know I don’t know if that works maybe it does it’s tough I don’t know this this idea has been kind of Leaping out to me of like I can have this really interesting texture sort of in looking so far we got these exhibits back here I mean it’s very silly to think that you know you’d show up and there’ just be all of the all the resources that you’re kind of looking for just in nice little sections but Whatever it’s a museum right yeah maybe that’s interesting I don’t even know I think that’d be more interesting if the light was slightly further but then I think I get a dark spot in the middle here I can’t really move that light any further away all right uh I think the the other Thing we definitely need is some Diamond I think Diamond will look really good and I have six diamond ore so uh let’s let’s do that I think it’s okay for this one to be a little bit more rare right cuz this is of course the non on Deep slate diamond ore just the diamond ore diamond ore which is uh ultra rare these days just the rarest you know you didn’t know it already you’re in the presence of a gamer should we bow oh diamonds don’t need that sort of level of uh acknowledgement but you can if you’d Like is Funko in chat he was at one point I don’t know he might be vibing doing other stuff right now apparently Funko is posting photos of long bun bun in Discord so got one more Diamond nice all right and then over here we make our camp So first things first Camp needs a bed uh and I like the idea of the beds being Brown you know from all like the mining dust and stuff right so we need that we need uh a chop chop table which I’ve got one to donate all right uh I’m also Going to need some andesite to Andes deficate the whole thing Brown w W we got three beds are we skipping Emerald copper and Lapis copper copper would be fun we could do some copper I mean again I don’t want it I I don’t want to have to do one of absolutely every single one so I’m not going to too Um yeah so I did Iron gold and diamond which are kind of like the three I don’t know I think if you had to pick three ores to sort of represent all I did four four ores to represent all of Minecraft like those aren’t bad but we could do we Could do little bits like here and there you know so I kind of love the idea of there being uh bunk beds here right who’s sleep in the museum we’re showing a display of what the living conditions were like for some of the first miners Okay oh my God Joe had a hilarious examp uh idea of grab a parrot to make it like the uh the canary in the mines here which is so funny so I need I need some more stuff in here uh this is where I wanted to do Um maybe like M shaft sort of stuff or train sort of stuff so see like I love this so far it’s just there’s just it’s missing a couple of details right now wonder where my shulker box full of chests went is it down here just get a parent and name tag it canary I definitely had a shulker box at one point that was its only mission in life was to be full okay then was to be full of um of chests and maybe I left that at 9:00 or maybe it fell somewhere and despawned either way I’m kind of sad right now I Made it at um I made it last time I know I used it was at the uh the um Frog Light Farm well that’s not good so anyways blame James in that case it would actually be blame Uno James was technically not available that day so It’s not his fault I’d love for it to be his fault but you know bluno that is a very good portmanto everything’s got to be fair that’s right sge o an anvil all right so there’s somewhere up here there’s a miscellaneous iron box get an anvil in there let’s make a Couple more mine carts a little bit of movement in here I like that uh I need to make the ceiling a little bit more interesting I think that might have been what heck what else is kind of throwing this off for me yeah that’s better that’s Better a sexy weird space is built upon us sge what in the what my guy Lantern I actually like that the only light in that section is a candle oh a furnace is a very good call yeah furnace is a great idea a wash bin oh my God that’s such a good idea How do even make a blast furnace do I coincidentally have some of those blocks on me I think I might have down below maybe no it’s just going to be a furnace it’s just going to be a couple of furnaces be like four furnaces I love how cluttered it’s already Getting see now we’re starting to get some now we’re starting to get some details in here right oh you know what we need uh we need barrels yeah soothe I got you right at the same time friend honestly barrels one of the best blocks in Minecraft I don’t know if I did this by but one of my spare rocket stashes in the shop had explosive fireworks in it texture up the ground and stuff like that so what I should do cuz I think this looks really cool we should do a place for the uh the rail to stop like that can I set it up that the furnace is Always on no that would just be expensive resource wise it’d be kind of funny if we wanted to have a mine cart keep going back and forth all right so the other thing I want is I want rails on the opp thought it would be kind of interesting if we did let’s say we did that all up in Black and we had something like this hanging down I don’t know like does that does that scan as anything for Y’all so if we made that pitch black though and made it look like there was um like there was um a shaft above it I kind of want to make it look like it’s a pulley like something’s being pulled up or not you know I need straight up black concrete Though all right by the way I also want to do a little bit of this just to make these look a little bit more worn put a barrel on the bottom put a cauldron on the Chain instead I mean that kind of works do some ladders on the side too uh Hello what up snackpack I’m out of ladders unbelievable well I mean we already have ropes basically on the sides right interesting stuff also if we wanted more candles I kind of I actually think I prefer this being lit by candles and lanterns which I don’t know if you like that or not I think I do all right so let’s there’s a creeper in there though no oh I can take these ones yes I’m so smart thinking about adding some copper I mean I have copper ore there in the Box already so I can just put some ore kind of sprinkled into the walls there’s the idea of TNT and we talked ourselves out of it cuz I don’t want to blow it up right I could put it behind glass I Could put it behind glass there we go now we’re talking red candles could also scan as Dynamite that’s kind of funny I’m going to put down red candles and then I’m going to go to light them and then I’m going to blow it up and I’m going to be very Sad uh I think that’s everything I don’t know where all this and asign of my inventory came from all right all right I have mini blocks no that would be clever though yeah mini blocks are what they use on hermitcraft all the time through vanilla tweaks what mini blocks are they’re basically um Reskinned heads which is kind of interesting poor chicken poor chicken that chicken deserved better oh wow that is that’s pretty noticeable is it ah I mean block windows look fine well thank you right uh need God I’m so smart no leaks let’s go put a layer between unfortunately I Don’t have that room that space we built right up against it so there’s not really the space to uh to do that you know simply move everything over by one block oh okay good we’ll put put that in the maybe column so like what do you think does it kind of Work it doesn’t from this angle but it does from this angle you know do I feel like a vault Hunter Builder today because oh because I’m doing like that looks kind of cool right I think that works it’s like yeah and now we’ve got supplies coming down from a higher Level I I personally love that I think that’s really cool and I think it adds a lot of the fact that it looks semif fake also sells it as an exhibit yeah Right I kind of wish this whole Space was just a little bit darker all right go with me on this journey Oops go with me on this journey we remove all of the lights all the lanterns and we only light the place with candles just to make it moodier cuz the lanterns are too Bright candles and glow lien yeah a little bit of glow Len too Is All right where’s the darkest spots 3 2 1 zero well easy fix if it gets down to one that’s actually perfect right zero is of course too dark that’s a one train tracks are unspawnable so that’s fine I love it how long will the furnace stay lit like 15 seconds it’s not very Long at all all right so we want to do a TNT exhibit here all right we wanted to do um God where do I even clutter more stuff because I don’t want to I don’t want to attach it to all the fence posts I’m running out of space for my details I don’t know is that is that helping I don’t know if that makes it look better or not I don’t know if these splashes of color really are really doing what I want them to do you know the iron was fine the gold is really bright and the coal is really dark I Think only the Iron Works put something in the walls and the floors you know what I don’t mind that yeah yeah all right uh the Coal’s too dark coal is too much ooh there we go I like that that’s a good color yeah nice I think the Coal’s just too Dark like even here it’s just way too dark coal in the ceiling like put one there as a treat sure Diamond would be way too bright as well all right so what I want to do here uh and we have to get some of the glass out which is down below elsewhere Somewhere this is just my MK box right I don’t even have room uh glass was this way put coal near the furnace I did it looked bad glass glass glass glass glass I don’t want a single emerald ore maybe I’ll let me do copper first I haven’t done the textfic of the walls Yet but I want to do this TNT exhibit first so let’s let’s do that cuz like it’s a museum right so I do I do think the little like a little TNT exhibit here might be kind of cool I don’t mind that I don’t mind that as a little detail There I think that’s really neat personally I also like that we put it behind glass so James doesn’t happen I think that’s cool as heck all right we’re going to put in Blast furnaces instead of these regular furnaces put one regular furnace in there I love it There run out of space to put stuff in here I mean I could always do this right there’s no reason they can’t just dig right into the walls oh yeah right right barrels just put barrels in the walls forehead there we go oh it looks so good I love this I Love that all right uh next thing we’re going to do is we’re going to coppery it I only have 16 no oh right I smashed all my copper for the roof I was like how could I possibly be so copper poor uh and the answer is um that’s the answer That’s a lot of roffa thank you yeah you know what just just a little sprinkling of ore I think adds a lot here probably so sweetie Joe’s convinced that James has somehow killed all of the parrots on the server she’s looking for our Canary in the mines by the Way you know what these little yeah these little touches of copper love it and we’re going to go through we’re going to texture file all the walls what does the copper ore look like with a glow Lan on it um probably fine there look like we actually got Like some good good amounts in there right all right put that away good now oh my God I’m full on both TNT and Redstone this is I don’t know how to I wait where did the black shulker go uhoh uhoh the black Shuler is what I use to Grab the flint and steel from right which means it’s on the ground somewhere it’s right here this project is using I kid you not 60 shulkers divided amongst a bunch of different places it’s like it’s starting to become a lot to keep track of and I was doing a good job at first But now that I’m getting like when it was a lot of the same blocks over and over it was pretty easy to have a system but now that I’m doing these like super like detail specific little builds oh my God it’s a nightmare all right uh now it’s time for Andesite which I have on on me okay Andrew site that’s their full name Doesn’t Esquire have like a very specific meaning you know if I was like serg Jager ES what would that what would that mean lawyer wait so Esquire magazine is literally just lawyer magazine that can’t be right esar could also mean a member of English Gentry Gentry sure uh below the rank of Knight Gentry it’s Gentry not Gentry Gentry yeah yeah yeah in the US it always means lawyer Wild so Bill s Preston and Theodore Logan are lawyers wow I didn’t realize they were so they were so Talented oh Gentry is in gentleman okay perfect thank You my friends always call me a gentleman and a Scholar so I’m just trying to take away a lot of the uh the squar here right really make it look and feel like it’s been carved out of Rock all right I’m about ready to call this oh the ground that’s my thinking noise those are the Noises uh I make when I’m trying to think of something you’re wondering what was going on there ah the ground my only enemy also I didn’t put any gravel in the walls here put all the gravel away oh this is the museum yeah no tough is going to go in the deep dark Exhibit uh Cobbs makes it feel abandoned not in use but that doesn’t help with the ground I was like why is sege decorated a m shaft it looks so good than thank you so the only problem with gravel is uh the ground is hollow so gravel is Going to make so much work for me so can’t be gravel unless I want to make another false floor I can just do Cobble I guess speaking of caving my family went to Mammoth Cave over Christmas break I’ve been on like three tours through the cave apparently only 1% of its 460 plus miles would you describe yourself as a spelunker that’s very cool that’s like tremendously neat I’ve only ever gone spelunking once in my life uh when I was in high school I got to do a school trip to Australia and New Zealand uh and one of the things that we did while we were in Australia uh pardon me in New Zealand is we got to check out these really cool like um there’s like underground water caves full of glow worms uh and it was also like a little Bit of um like a anyways it was like underwater not rafting underwater splunking cave exploration slash swimming through caves lit up by natural bioluminescence and gloworms yeah the gloworm caves I don’t know about the gloworm caves but they were gloworm caves it was pretty neat You got to go swim in gloworm caves it was really neat yeah yeah yeah all right I think a little bit of um a little bit of Cobble on the ground actually made a huge difference here eh oh my God look at this this is so cool All right one last thing tell me if you think this is an improvement or not do you think some of these should have the occasional one should have a Cross Beam support do you like the detail of a couple of these and not all of them have INF fense Gates just a couple just to sort of break it up right feel they should be consistent I just like the idea of like occasionally some of them need a little bit of extra support oh speaking of which uh this side just doesn’t have any supports just missed That no strong feelings either way I just like a little bit of variation when something feels a little too syy I like to go through and break it up and does that do you like that or not the home sweet home you like it yeah the F the sign feels a bit much That’s also Fair uh all right how about instead of home site home it is is just we call it um Work Camp Mine sweet mine the one hallway in the back is a bit long and a bit syy yeah that’s cuz there’s a window there so I can’t really do too much you Know we can do this imply more Alpha is such such a boring word Charlie Work Camp Charlie actually hold on can I make Work Camp how are we doing Oak signs okay so lights lyen and iron products Stone Cobble uh Diorite granite deep slat Joe is like why are you casting dark [Laughter] magic my favorite thing they say in anime is when they’re frustrated drip stuff lost stuff it was me all along diorite uh all right I got these like furnaces and some stuff I’m I’m I’m kind Of tempted to I won’t throw them on the ground I just let them Desa like look at the look at this it just keeps growing this must be the single worst chest monster I’ve ever made it’s not it’s not that bad well if I if I include the chest monster out front Too it’s um yeah I’ve definitely made worse it’s it’s close I don’t know I don’t know because like when we add this to it as well you know all right let’s take a look at those exhibits we just made shall we ow it’s only feeling Museum would have a Spare everything one or two underneath oh yeah at least it’s organized is organized is all right oo stones ooh what’s on this side orse Work Camp Charlie I love how cramped it feels you know you know not half bad having a chest right there makes you think somebody forgot to clean up their Build along the way I mean it’s supposed to be messy that’s kind of the that’s kind of the goal I also love this right reminds you the vanilla mining rooms and Sky vaults I think that’s a compliment bringing on in Joo yes her first parrot is a gray one And we’re going to call it a canary it’s it’s perfect it’s perfect Joe what color are canaries are canaries yellow canaries are yellow right so the parent colors are white red blue maybe there’s a yellow one there’s green but green is definitely not right all right sorry the Other room we did we’ve done three out of 16 exhibits now and this is the other one we did we got this one done yesterday uh the light and color exhibit what do you think do you think Mona clock is going to feel feel like we’re on the right track with these so The parrot sweetie are red blue green cyan and gray so gray is going to be the best you can do no you should tame it you should tame it and put it in its place yeah you think the boys will be happy I need to put in some more staircases in The other Corners too put in more of these stairwells yeah you can see the rest of the work that we have to do here uh what was the museum command uh did we end up making it did we end up linking that image or no exclamation Museum heck yeah Imer you love to see it so yeah this is the plan uh we now have a a command so you can see what we’re working on as well what there’s going to be uh we have now finished where are we stones and ores on the downstairs and light and color on The upstairs uh the upstairs has slightly more room for ceiling height so we have the ability to um we have the ability to be a little bit more creative with the height and so I was a little bit picky with what goes upstairs versus what goes downstairs but I’m really Really really happy with uh with how this is coming along so far and I hope you are too all right I I think I’m going to call it again a little bit earlier today specifically because I want to try and uh call around to a couple of different camera repair places And see if there’s a place that I can find that will can and will fix uh my Sony a6000 so that uh as much if we as I’m sure you’ve loved chge uh I’d love it if I could get my uh my camera back for
