Pillager outposts are semi-rest structures which are home to these guys pillagers will usually be found standing outside guarding the outpost and if you kill this guy with the banner you will obtain the bad omen status effect which activates a raid when you walk into a village now unlike woodland mansions

Ocean monuments or buried treasure there isn’t a map or specific method you can use to find one however with the tips and tricks i’m about to give you you’ll be able to find them pretty easily first of all there are only five biome types where pillager outposts generate these

Are any type of planes biome desert biomes snowy biome tiger biome and savannah biome all five are common biome types so you should not have any difficulty finding them desert and plain biomes are by far the best of the five to search for an outpost they don’t have

Many trees or obstructions blocking your view and are generally quite flat biomes this is great for seeing as much of the terrain as possible while searching for an outpost savannah and snowy biomes are slightly worse but still perfectly good for finding a pillar drought post since

They don’t have too many trees and while the terrain is hillier than the plains or desert biomes you can still see a lot of the terrain in these biomes tiger biomes however are easily the worst out of the five they have dense forests which restricts how much of the terrain

You could see and will make finding a pelleted outpost more difficult if you stick to exploring planes deserts savannah or snowy biomes you should find pillager outposts pretty quickly you should however expect to travel up to a few thousand blocks because they are significantly rarer than villagers

Besides being a way to obtain the bad omen effect and start a village raid pillar to outposts generate with a loot chest and are a constant source of pillagers even if you destroy the pillager outpost the pillagers will still continue to generate in the chunk where the outpost originally stood so
