In this video I’m going to make a floating fantasy Kingdom in Minecraft and hopefully I can give you some inspiration for making your own build first things first I want to make the layouts for each of the buildings we’re going to have three different Islands one with a main tower in the center Another with a kind of sub Tower off to the right and off to the left we’re going to have a kind of more natural island with a stone circle starting with the center Island we’re going to have the central tower but then also a little Tower off to one side of it with a bridge going between the two and we’re going to have different Roofing styles on both of them I’m also going to have this strained kind of balcony sort of thing on one side of the tower that’s going to make that side a lot more Chunky and the other side a bit thinner the tower itself is also going to have a strange shape it’s going to cave in on itself then come out to near the middle then go back in again towards the top and this kind of concave shape is going To be repeated across each of the buildings in this build next I’m building the wireframe for the smaller Tower which is going to be extremely thin but go out at the top and kind of have a lighthouse like top now that all of the wireframes for the main buildings Are done I’m going to place them on this platform and kind of build around them where I need the level of the islands to be and I also lay out a separate Island which is where the stone circle is going to go and this island is going to be on Two levels next I’m going to move them up and down because the central island especially is going to be a little bit higher than the other two and then the other two are going to be at their own levels now I’m going to sketch out where The islands kind of droop down into the void and then I’m going to use this sphere brush along with a you can kind of see very vaguely there’s a layer of glass which I’m painting on to fill in the gaps between sketchy lines so you Can see I use an awful lot of tiny little spheres to kind of get the basic shapes of these islands but then I’m going to paint them using another brush to make a nice gradients going from lighter at the bottom of them up to darker which is granite at the top and Then we’re going to have a layer of moss as the grass so I’m using this pink concrete powder brush to kind of smooth out the top of them because obviously we were using spheres they were very lumpy but because of this pink concrete cylinder brush it’s just going to smooth Over the top it also makes it quite easy cuz I can just set the pink concrete to Moss when I’m done I’m going to go round the islands by hand because obviously you can see right now it doesn’t look that because of all of the Spheres so I Am going to have to go by hand and essentially just smooth off all of the faces to make these really nice smooth organic shapes and it is completely insane how long this took just to smooth out all of these islands because you could use the smooth brush which is a World edit brush but that doesn’t quite make the shapes that I want this build to have so I’m going to do it by hand instead now that that is all smoothed out as long as you don’t look at the back we can move move on to making the Buildings so I add some more wireframes for what’s going to go on our more natural Island and I put these Emerald blocks between the islands to lay out where the bridges are going to go and I add a roof to each of the buildings I’ve decided to go for the more pointy style For two of the towers but one of the towers is going to have a more traditional Battlement Castle style roof I fill in all of the wireframes because at this stage of the build it helps me to start seeing these buildings as being more solid and then I add some trees Around and these trees are kind of helping to frame each of the buildings if you look at where they’re placed and how they’re leaning and now I’m going to mold each of the buildings into its respective landscape on each of the islands so I choose my color palette and I think the trees are going to be cherry trees and the towers themselves are going to be white I think I quite like the idea of these kind of pearlescent White Towers sitting on top of these floating islands and then the roofs I think I’m going to go for copper and Maybe kind of a green gradient as we go up the roof which I think will make it look quite pristine and Regal making the leaves on the trees is quite easy with world edit I kind of just use the sphere brush especially because they’re cherry trees they kind of have that more Rounded look to them so I just use a sphere brush and then do some adjustments make the trunks a little bit thicker so it doesn’t look too heavy for the tree and I’ve also changed the time of day to a kind of sunrise sunset with the buildings being nicely lit in this Kind of Golden Light because I think that’s going to really add to this build and I’ve also added this gradient for the cherry trees which is kind of lighter at the bottom and darker at the top it’s time to start adding in some magical creatures around this build so On the right hand Tower I’m going to build this dragon and it’s going to be wrapping its way all around the tower now I build it one kind of funny stubby wing and that’s just because if it had two Wings one of them would be going Going into the Tower or I could make it go out in the other direction but then it’ kind of take away from the build and since I haven’t finished the back anyway I can kind of get away with this but if I was building it in survival as a base I would probably make the wing just go around the tower on the other side when trying to add smoke for the dragon I realized it feels like it kind of takes away from the build a little bit so I decided against adding the smoke that I was going to initially add for the Dragon now I do up the left hand is a little bit making it more detailed and filling in all of the wireframes with glass and then I add the windows for each of the central Towers so the central big tower is going to have just kind of a circle and the central right Tower is going to have this cross window so I fill in the windows with cyan glass because Canan is amazing and I also add a cyan crystal in the roof of the right hand Tower I just kind of finish off most of the other buildings I add some Leaves and Greenery around and I add loads of plant life kind of touch up the Moss and the bridges lots of extra details before moving on to the final part of this build which is the butterfly over the left hand Island now for the butterfly first off I get its Body shape right and give it a massive head with some antenna eye where it can have big eyes and be really cute but then for the wings I’m going to lay them out on a flat ground just because it gives me a much better opportunity to Kind of have a proper look at what it’s going to look like before I then raise them up block by block to make it look like it’s actually in flight but once the butterfly has been detailed and colored in that is the end of this building project thank you very much for Watching if you enjoyed this video please subscribe because it really really helps me out and if you like fantasy stuff like this I have been building a new deep dark dimension for Minecraft that you might really like thank you for watching and goodbye Video Information

In This Video I Built A Minecraft Fantasy Floating Castle, making my own 1.20 custom cherry trees and a custom butterfly and dragon! This project was really fun to make, building in the Fantasy style in Minecraft is one of my favourites!
