UNBELIEVABLE! Island of Knowledge in Minecraft

hello everybody my name is Python and welcome back to the let’s play today my friends is the day I’d like to finally get this little island completely finished from setting up the little librarian villager trading Hall in this ship here to connecting that ship to this Lighthouse and even creating a little mini dock so yeah lots of stuff to be done my friends and I’m very very excited to see future Minecraft content so then the first thing we need to do is we need to dry out these sponges now as much as we could easily do that in the nether without the usage of a furnace I’m still going get myself a furnace and I’m going to do it that way just for convenience sake so we are going to start off by a rebuilding this ship and restoring it to its former glory and of course B we’re going to drain out and dig out the underside down here is probably going to be where the librarian trading Hall is going to go do you know what looking at this I think this actually is a 100% builtup ship obviously sometimes you can have them generate and they will only be sort of partially there they might be broken down a bit but this one seems to all be there with the exception of this little area up here we might need to put down a slab or two just to sort of finish that bit off but aside from that we should be good to go in terms of getting this thing going pretty quickly I honestly cannot remember the last time I used sponges in any of my Minecraft worlds what does it potentially Python’s world I mean if it was that is an insanely long time ago isn’t it I seem to remember making a guardian Farm on that one I can’t remember if I made one on the old python play Minecraft let’s play back of python MC but uh either way it’s been many years now one of the things I will do with this shipwreck here is I am going to start putting in some glass pain just because I feel like that would be a nice idea really so there we go put one in there as well and basically any other gaps we have that may be adjacent to the ocean we’re going to see if we can’t fill them up with glass we don’t want the water from the ocean of course to be filling this place up all right believe it or not we are already almost there with the Excavating of this area in fact no I think we are done all right let’s go at it with the sponges shall we so let’s start off let’s oh wow that was incredibly easy oh hey I forgot how powerful sponges are we’ll put one at the back here okay very very good and then finally I’m going to say one uh I don’t know underneath this trapo boom yeah baby oh look at this it’s like a readymade room ready to be populated with stuff isn’t it all right pretty sure I’ve taken care of most of the water we need to take care of these fences though so if I was to just put these down that should rid all the water maybe I can then replace the fences uh maybe not you know what there’s a far simpler way of doing this my friends if I was to grab myself a couple of bits of these uh dark oak planks what I should be able to do is get rid of those put a couple of those in do the same over here so we’ve still got a nice symetrical ship and then well that’s about it yeah now to add in a couple of slabs just to sort of restore the structure here a little bit this slab I’m pretty sure can be heightened a little bit and that will allow us to simply walk in and there we are yeah pretty good huh you want to know something cool my friends I could if I really wanted to fit an enchant setup in here like perfectly it’s a five block wide room and it’s a 5×5 area you typically need for a level 30 standard enchant setup right but the thing is I’ve already got an enchant setup up there and I don’t really want to take away from that only I quite like having a reason to visit this Lighthouse you know what I mean so yeah maybe we need to think of something else to put in here all righty my friends after a little bit of jiggly poery I think I’ve got something going on there’s a little bit of a mini sunken office back here sunken in that sort of the lowest part of the ship then we’ve got sort of what’s going to become the main trading Hall area so I think the next thing we need to do my friends is we need to try and determine where all of the villages are going to go so let’s say for example we Mark out the eventual lecons let’s say with sand uh we could have one in this space here I’m thinking one here one here maybe we could have one back here then here here and here that is a grand total of seven villagers and then of course digging out the actual villager cells well cells that sounds really bad doesn’t it should we say residences yeah they’re one block residence I’m so horrible to villagers aren’t they but yeah there we are trading Hall has been laid out I just need to go grab myself a bunch of bookshelves and hey the good news is we got our first villager right here from whom we can buy bookshelves for the lecton oh turns out we have some bookshelves in this chest amazing and and there we are all seven LEC turns let’s get those bad boys placed in shall we maybe I should get the Villager in first all right time for the not at all frustrating task of trying to move a villager oh boy if this goes any other way aside from being an absolute headache then I’m going to be genuinely surprised go on buddy go take up your new workstation wait hang on a minute what’s going on here oh I had to open the trap door H wow that was actually quite painless genuinely surprised oh that got him all right so now all I need to do get that placed in and he has settled down okay fantastic you know what I’m just now realizing this ship could serve a another function we have comment of the day books being stored currently in our episode one house way over there right this island is going to basically be called the island of knowledge so how’s about we store the comment of the day books over in this ship I think that’d be a really cool idea maybe in here what we could have is a whole bunch of chiseled bookshelves and then going from left to right we have a whole bunch of books so let’s say episode 2 3 4 5 6 7 etc etc so on and so four so then fortune 3 is the only enchanted book trade we have over here in the season 3 area of the world so far we have six more spaces so what I’m going to do is I’m going to spend a little bit of time trying to determine what the most valuable enchanted book trades are and then from there we might be able to start on the grind for villagers I guess so here’s what we’ve got going on mending and silk touch both of those will be very nice to have we’ve got Unbreaking three we’ got Thorns 3 we’ve got efficiency five and protection four for some armor eventually I think we’ve got a good little set going on here my friends of course it is subject to change if you guys could think of any other enchants that may or may not be more valuable than this slot right here let me know with a comment down below okay hello there Budd if I could get myself a second TR ow if I can get a second Trident then I might be able to repair my current one sadly it was not to be at least we can get rid of this ugly Cobblestone I saw finally all righty my friends how about a little bit of decoration down here some nice Birch leaves y that adds a nice little amount to the area doesn’t it how about some nice little waterfalls in the comment of the day storage room eh I think that looks pretty good doesn’t it all right so let’s go at it with some more of these leaves maybe we’ll put down another little micro Tree in each Corner yeah okay very good um now what we need to do is we need to start going at it with the chiseled bookshelves how many we’re going to fit in there I’ve got absolutely no idea you know what honestly the ideas are flowing to me thick and fast at the moment what if we were to have a cartographer villager in the comment of the day storage room here here he could almost be like The Keeper of the books right a that’s such a cool idea all righty my friends aside from adding in some flower pots in here I think this room is just about there all right so that is the trading Hall taken care of the comment of the day storage taken care of now we’ve got this tiny little area back here I mean to be fair I’m kind of tempted to just make it into like a rudimentary storage area I mean I’ve got myself a couple of bookcases here so any books that we purchased from the villagers here we can simply put them in these bookcases here but yeah maybe back here we just have you know the basics maybe a crafting table furnace you know chests barrels all that kind of stuff and yeah that’ll just about Mark the end in terms of the sort of functional side of this shipwreck project wow thunderstorm time here I am trying to finish off this boat and the game decides to throw a thunderstorm my way I mean seriously so here we are getting the mini utility room sorted out I mean to be honest that’s probably about as much as we’re going to need around here one thing I do need though is an anvil and I know exactly where I’m going to put it as well probably a top this cartography table and I’m going to hope that the eventual villager will still be able to use this as a Workstation even despite there being an anvil on top now to rid this godforsaken storm grab ourselves an anvil real quick there we have it and Chuck The Anvil right on in here H the only thing is though the cartography table you can’t really tell it’s a cartography table just from here that is one change I wouldn’t mind seeing in Minecraft rotational cartography tables or wait can you have rotational photography tables so if I had it like that uh okay nothing there what if I had it like this no so no it doesn’t rotate that’s kind of poo actually they really should add that though ah well it is what it is my friends and now my friends I’m going to get a few little finishing bits and Bobs done on this ship I just want to make it look good at the end of the day so yeah bear with me a minute I’ll see if I can’t add in some flower pots and some detailing work to this thing and just like that my friend and a few flower pots and a few slabs later and this ship is looking well ship shaped Oh I’m great at puns not really sorry so yeah my friends add that to our little list of projects we could do in live streams trying to cure a few zombie villagers and getting them in their spaces on the boat here but now then my friends it is time to move on to the next thing which I think is going to be another mini dock build rather similar to the dock over there except it’s going to be let’s say back here since there’s a back entrance to the lighthouse this seems like the logical place for another dock all righty my friends so nothing too fancy in terms of the doctor time it’s just going to be one of those that simply goes out into the water and has a couple little parking areas no buildings like we got going on over there although this time I kind of figured you know what for a little bit of a something different maybe we can make this into a nature Pier good grief this is a deep ocean wow we are using up all of our wood supply all right so here we go my friends we can have one little boat parking space here and one right here then we simply walk on and go around the corner and bada bing bada boom we’re on the island of knowledge now to add in all of the fences and for a little final finishing touch I’m thinking maybe a couple of trees so here we are for the first time arriving at my new little peer dock thingy medo hickey and now what we’re going to do is we are going to grow this uh oh wow that is a significantly sized tree but you know what I’m kind of here for it I actually really like it I’m thinking we put maybe another one right there and it’s just a nice simple one that time okay so let’s go and have a look at this from afar see what we’re working with do a little bit of a 180 ah you know what that works that works real well oh yeah right we should probably consider how to light this area up as well so how’s about we do an Etho tree you just add a light source in the top there and you replace the branch and there we go nicely lit up dock I love this like seriously it’s such a basic build and yet we’ve made it look quite nice quaint I think the word might be all right excellent so that is all of the builds taken care of on this island the only things really left to do now are to connect the buildings together well more specifically this one and the Shipwreck that isn’t so much a wreck anymore and then I’m thinking maybe we could custom make some little palm trees and a few other decorative bits and Bobs as well just to really tie off this area you know so let’s have ourselves a nice little snooze and we shall get right on with it all right so that was relatively straightforward could I potentially get away with adding path blocks through here just to ensure a little bit of pathway consistency materials wise let’s have ourselves a bit of a look shall we uh yeah I mean I’d say that works out pretty nicely in fact it’s quite a nice contrast compared to the broken Sandstone texture there isn’t it right now we have a slightly larger task to get done we have to get rid of this temporary project area I guess for now what I could do is I could make usage of my new little office area I could pretty much just dump and run basically and that python my friend is how chest monsters start but do you know what me it is what it is I just want to get this thing done folks and just like that we’re done and dusted right palm trees what kind of wood do we think would best suit a palm tree though eh I might suggest jungle wood but I don’t have any jungle wood I think I already know what sorts of leaves I’d like to use though although saying that I would have said Birch leaves but then again we have access to some Mangrove leaves now right I think Mangrove leaves for the palm tree leaves would actually work out very nicely man oh man am I glad that we found that one tiny little mini Mangrove Tree in that trial chamber one time I think it was on the live stream wasn’t it the best thing about mangrove trees of course is it’s not just wood and leaves you get from the May check it out we get lots of other stuff we get vines we get moss carpets we get these here roots all right my friends let’s see if we can do this we’re going to use just basic oak logs for the sort of stalk of this thing we’re going to start off with two blocks at the bottom going to go up a couple of blocks and then we’re going to go across and then up I don’t know maybe about three blocks like that and then I’m thinking something like this this would be the top and then all you do is you go out in sort of a star formation and then yeah have a palm tree and just like that we have a palm tree at least the beginnings of one anyway I think I’ve got the proportions a little bit wrong perhaps maybe I don’t need to go that high up maybe we could go to maybe this block here and then the proportions might be a little bit more in tune H where to put a bed I don’t want to put a bed in anywhere a villager can get to because that’s when Iron Golems start spawning of course so I am going to put it out in the elements here um yeah sure if we get rained upon we get rained upon wow you know what in the daytime this palm tree actually looks a whole heap of a lot better wow okay maybe I don’t need to mess around with the proportions of this I think it looks all right so here we are my friends a couple additional palm trees added in and this is looking more and more like a beach resort by the minute isn’t it it’s almost like a summer home even though it’s a place of utility more than relaxation the setting is relaxing although to be fair when you’re relaxed and in a library I guess it does help towards you know focusing and all that yeah very very good stuff going on here my friends now we have the task of maybe adding in a couple of little details here and there perhaps maybe a little plant or twoo I’m thinking cacti maybe some sugar cane lining some of the edge and I don’t know maybe some little stray ferns here and there and guess what we don’t have any cacti well now that’s a bit of a bummer now isn’t it excellent here we are my friends some giant ferns we don’t actually want them to be giant we just want to grab the little versions oh man and there’s me hoping this was like a little micro desert island which maybe had a piece of cactus on it but no it’s just a giant Beach I’m kind of down with it though maybe eventually this could be a beach resort this is giant oh that is just beautiful watching my little island of knowledge come into view it is really quite nice though is it it potzol and ferns just how out of place is this going to look I’m not entirely sure there’s only really one way to find out isn’t it and that’s to just give it a go hey folks there’s no particular way I’m placing these things in just nice and random you know what I actually kind of like it it’s looking all right isn’t it right while it’s night time I think I’d quite like to figure out the lighting situation and well actually to be honest with you I think I’m going to go for something very very simple uh there’s my lanterns there are some dark oak fences I might just add some little torch scones along the way well they’re not torches they’re lanterns but you get what I mean would it make sense for me to maybe spread around some little mini boes or something a little bit of an additional light perhaps you know what I think the leaves on the ground work real nicely well I’m back at base getting myself some sugar cane I thought I’d have another look at this thing and oh man is in it looking good it’s looking really really good my friends right sugarcane that’s what I’m looking for that’s probably going to be the final touch for now up until of course we get ourselves some cacti and for the final time today my friends there we are sugarcane has been added in and you know what I really like the different shade of green that the sugar cane offers to the bill palette over there so yeah ladies and gentlemen I think we’re just about there oh dude this is brilliant I’m so glad that I got this done even the view from down here in the trading Hall the little palm trees oh it’s so beautiful so then before wrapping up of course we do have some shoutouts to give first of I already have a big big idea for where we’re going to put the automated storage room okay now for any of you guys who can’t remember we will be converting this entire Place into an island there’s two more Rivers I need to dig and as a result of that it will officially make this place over here into an island but my plan is this we try to find roughly the center of the island and if it winds up being for example this giant Hill I’m thinking we hollow out the hill and have a centralized automated storage system there right I think that would be a marvelous idea since this world is now in its 114th episode and we have three different seasons worth of items on us now we definitely need a centralized storage area don’t we and to have it be automated would be better even still so yeah I’m going to have to go for some serious mining trips I but yeah automated storage system is definitely on my plans for season 3 but until then my friends we’ve just finished our little island of knowledge and I for one am enjoying it a lot I love how it’s looking from afar it’s just beautiful isn’t it so my friends that is going to wrap it up for today’s episode thank you very much for
