Lowkey like ridiculous thing in this room is the floor pattern it’s not like it’s most people like barely notice yeah was it’s like so much texture work and bl especially with the amount of blocks we have in the game now right like yeah I love this pull okay so these are my

Your crystal and a way that we wanted to respect that is that there’s multiple paths in this cave so you just get one randomly selected when you start playing that you will be gued towards so when you play this again you might have a completely different path in these caves

Oh okay that’s cool really cool quite a few like replayability Factor right yeah this is like this SPS is it one to four one to four players yeah one to four players yes we support up to four and as I said in the beginning it’s important

That if you want to play together start together that’s the caveat okay yeah so I I can pick any way right no you have to so basically the the crystal chooses you so you don’t get to choose follow PA that’s chosen for you oh I like that okay and the next

This yeah I mean we’ve uh I think my fastest run of this is like a little bit under an hour but uh that’s in a that’s in a previous like a prior version that still that wasn’t as complete as how how long did um the development take

For you guys to do this all in uh we had about 3 to four months of just like straight on on development which uh quite quite a long production for us and then before that we had like two three months of planning I’m not actually sure how long the planning

Phase was exactly oh so it’s a good good long like half the year yeah basically and we also we did right before we uh we did this we did a three month warm- up project which is actually not out yet um it’s going to be very cool but uh

Yeah we basically did the production right before this to get to just uh experiment with cuts scenes make sure we we know what we’re doing coming into this cuz we knew we needed both like gameplay wise we need to get some some some things right and cut scenes just

Something we needed to nail for this so yeah yeah yeah the whole warm-up Project Feel Like We need to go through here I may I may I may want to guide you that it’s the opposite [Laughter] way did we not come through here yeah we did we we’re walking back right now this

There a lot of missions that you can play together and there just individual ones that it doesn’t make sense to be in the room like this uh doing it together so you don’t I think in the second section of the training you you got to you to block

Me me being one of those helps a lot right yeah for sure I think I mean I’m I I really like I hope we did a good job uh being being true to to the characters in the in the universe and it seems like we like we did based on the reception so

Far so very happy with that and yeah the the feedback I’ve seen so far like I Tred to avoid spoilers but everyone who bought it was telling me they were like yeah you got to try it I was like I know I know like again like this double jump

I’ve been so you just get so obsessed with it yeah I think the I mean the feedback has been absolutely incredible just when the the teaser dropped with with Minecraft live uh I think it’s a month ago now yeah um and I think it’s like the first time we’ve ever

Experienced like a real hype for something we made cuz we we’ve done SpongeBob before we’ve done plenty of our own content that was that was pretty successful but we’ve never had something where people were excited to play it way before it came out and having like tens

Of millions of views on on like a teaser that’s that’s never it’s like what’s what’s the word for it well people know what it is kind of thing you know like when you make something it’s hard to bring some form of excitement Factor because it might be something

That they’ve never seen before do you know what I mean so yeah I I can feel that it was a very very like surreal experience for us just seeing that kind of social media reaction and now you know it’s out and everyone’s loving it so very very happy right now been

But yeah okay complete all of the missions okay yeah uh so a nice thing here is that I mean we uh we don’t like doing super l experiences so there’s a plenty of missions now and we can we can choose our own order we can make our own story

Okay okay I like that so there there’s a there’s a given there’s a very there’s a set beginning that we’ve just done there’s a set ending but everything in between it’s up to us sorry I’m just I just got to see this I’ve seen it when we were all the way up

The top like I wanted to see it closer up enjoy it’s good even the sky as well yeah I love the all the traffic that’s flying around all the vehicles so good oh look at our droids they’re coming for us oh we dragged them down okay missions five

We can choose two all like two different uh two different ways to do it and you can play you can also play both if you want to so that could be an extra mission so if you count like everything it could be could say seven but it’s

Five you have to complete to end the game okay greetings my fellow Jedi I’d like to invite you the light sa a dueling room to hone your powers against somewhere the opponents are you ready so I could just come off this one and go somewhere else is that what you’re

Saying yeah you can just decide no I’m not doing this guy let’s let’s let’s meet someone else okay I think we’ll do this one first and then we’ll go to somewhere yeah just to get it just to get to grips and then go to yeah I think

I think most players are doing a kerun first which makes sense that’s that’s also a reason he’s played so prominently uh but it’s it’s uh it’s a choice you know we don’t have to be doing it and um maybe when you’re replaying you know you don’t want to do it that

Order and that’s totally okay with us so uh we got to get going to the to the turbo lifts which are the elevators which just came from oh we got okay okay okay oh so we got to go back sorry I’m going wrong way should actually be telling us at the

Top to do that but for some reason it says talk to the Jedi Masters so it wants to go dueling room okay yes there we go okay we Jedi with fighting with other Jedi Knights okay who wants to fight me you what happens with you then sorry cuz that it’s me fighting

Right so like do you have a separate fight or yeah it’s it’s same as with the with the uh under Crucible earlier where we were learning the deflection and everything it’s it’s just instance out so we’re both doing the same fight the same time in

Parallel only one of us has to win as well yeah one uh one piece of advice for this is that your health is sacred your health does not regenerate so okay don’t take too much damage um I what I like to do is I just like to jump around a lot it confuses

The opponent a little bit but there’s many other valid strategies I think these du are super fun I actually think this is probably the most fun I like ever had in combat in Minecraft there we go defeated I still need a second tough opponent

I got it too there we go nice so nice thing we can do is there’s up to 10 du we can do to make it to the top of this this leaderboard oh I see come back here yeah we just come back here in between the missions and just do do one every

Now and then not do all than one go if you want to I’m going do one more I’m going be greedy sure yeah let’s do it it’s a fun one I love I love this character model very very pretty SA look so serious indeed yeah if we um if we make this up

The leader board we get a special achievement which will also give us uh which I won’t spoil past that how’s your fight going not too bad nearly there this guy is a little bit easier than the other guy actually he’s getting more damage on

Me than the last guy but I also got him Defeated that was nice yeah go make your way all the way to the top yeah we can try to do so later do it main hall okay main hall let’s do main hall we can actually I think all the rooms are unlocked now so we can

Actually we can check out the other ones as well but we don’t need to okay did we go okay we probably have to come back right after the missions the wrong way we’ve gone the wrong way we there’s there’s plenty of reasons to go to all

Of these locations so we’re not we no rush to check anything out we’ll see it all anyways got that RTX going on yeah RX on crazy right who’s this down here H I don’t want to do this one I I I want to just do what you said

Like where you don’t have to go to the whoever you see yeah I love the the scale of this Hall it’s it’s actually we actually we had some uh we basically designed this around render distance where we just made sure that like players will be able to see the whole Room we could we could room unloading OB one’s a great one uh distress calls from the Republic uh Recon post creatures have breached their fences I like this one I like the idea of this one yes follow me okay there’s a really nice room up ahead

As well this is like the perfect room for you to just like go instead person and just see the animations I love this room this is there’s so much detail in this the artists went crazy on this one thank you young Jedi where shall we go

Up to you as well up to the player I think generally what we like to do with experiences like this is just give choice you know and I think not everyone will want to do the do this can of mission twice but they can if they want

I think uh I mean the with the lot of the VFX it’s uh it’s quite funny cuz the we have obviously have a bunch of technical limitations with Minecraft as to what’s possible how we can do things and we have to find Creative Solutions to do all the things we’re doing here

And funnily enough a lot of the things we’re doing with RV effects are just like kind of practical effects like they used to do for Star Wars movies in the 1970s those for example like the cut scenes planets were doing is just like all miniature it’s just a mini spaceship

A mini planet and we play with the camera perspective a little bit and you just do a lot of things like that that it’s really clever how that stuff works Works isn’t it I seen the um the making of it how they got the sounds for the uh

Lightsabers ah nice with the with the with the pylons pretty cool yeah we actually we made uh so all all the sound effects in this also made by our team uh really make them ourselves and uh obviously just kind of replicated what what they used to do back in the days it

Works so even you have to make the lightsabers too The Sounds yeah I think I think so I I I can’t swear on that right now but I like I’m I’m I’m pretty sure it’s it’s every sound is made by us yeah so cool yeah um just we we can we can walk

Around a little as well we don’t have to stay in the middle the roids spawn all over the map so let’s explore a little bit and uh if we want to get the the Rope for this level we got to get to 100 kills 100 kills okay 100 kills we can do that

So when you’re playing as um like like two or three friends it all adds up together right it does that’s cool what’s really funny is pushing them like putting them over the ledge and just letting them fall into the water does that count as a kill too yes it

Out in the way it’s very manageable and the longer we go the more droids there the bigger the challenge becomes and uh at some point it’ll fail I got to watch out with the double jump I keep falling just into the water which is bad but it doesn’t kill you if you fall

Into water it just resets you at one point it did kill you and I was wasting you yeah be difficult for some I think I would love to see how did you ever test this on like iOS or Android uh yeah we we have a QA team and

Movies just through that game and I watched them years later um and yeah I really hope that like with this game where or this DLC we’re doing something similar where like some of the kids that play this were become Star Wars fans cuz of what we’re making and and and US

Introducing them to the franchise that’s it yeah I I definitely the thing is a lot of a lot of adults who have children now will be Star Wars fans as well and they’ll probably play this kind of stuff with their children yeah and yeah it’s just I’m also really
