and there we go full steam this is literally the max size we can go [Music] so today we get nuclear last episode we made ourselves some nuclear fuel rods and today we’re going to put them to good use within the create new age mod that’s right we are going to be setting up and utilizing a nuclear reactor to hopefully make a level 18 create boiler now I have only ever dreamed of getting this to its maximum level and it’s either going to be 18 or 17 whatever that Max number is but we are going to need to try and do that today um currently I have three basically Max normal versions which takes up to level 9 to achieve um and this is not that that difficult to get you just need an infinite lava supply of some sort and mine is coming directly out of the Nether um and uh yes you also need to pump in water that’s pretty easy in our case as this one is being supplied with almost the max amount of water it can even receive and it’s size well we’re just going to have to make this tank very very tall in order to achieve that but the heat that’s where things become a problem because we can only ever get uh higher than what we have is if we were to turn these Blaze burners into superheated variants now to superheat isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do but it is kind of a tedious process in the create mod and with this it’s a little less tedious you could call this pretty tedious but I think this is more industrious and that is using the create new age mod to do this and we should be able to do this by taking the heat from our nuclear reactor and piping it into a system that will provide heat AKA to our boiler and we should be able to provide heat to our boiler via our boiler heaters uh I think it’s better to show you than than to just ramble on here now for these boiler heaters and our heat system because this has a whole heat system inside of the create new age mod we need to make reactor casing some reactor glass we are also going to need some other things for a reactor such as a reactor fuel inserter which is how we put fuel into our reactor the stuff we made and then a reactor heat vent which is what’s going to send the heat from the reactor out into the world for us to use in our boiler um and then we have ourselves some heat pumps and some heat pipes those are going to be how we actually move our heat around and then we also have the reactor Rod which is basically what heats up and could be the thing that ultimately destroys our world if I’m not careful and yes I do mean destroy your world because essentially if you mess up you could end up making Corum and Corum will eventually turn into solid Corum but only after it has met Bedrock directly underneath meaning it will bore its way all the way through the world until it reaches the bottom of it and there it will set and solidify and at that point well it becomes radioactive so yeah you will most likely die there’s a chance and man recently I’ve been watching a lot of Fallout lore videos and I can tell you there’s nothing that makes me more happy than nuclear fallout I’m just kidding now one of the first things that we’re going to need to make is the reactor casing and I think it’s the only thing left in our automation process that we are going to need to do now to make the rods we are going to be crafting these by hand as they are done in a mechanical crafter but the reactor casings are a sequenced assembly and this uh this this is a pretty decent one we just need to give power to some bricks and then set up a deployer and then press this bad boy now to make this really easy I’m just going to set it up on the side here utilizing our reinforced Energizer that we already have um and so we basically need a deployer and the deployer is going to get connected here if I put this on right let’s turn it this direction there we go and then our mechanical press which is going to be connected all through this line and then all I have to do is put the items in here and then they should be produced on the other side so let’s take some bricks and let’s go ahead and make some of these now the middle item that is needed are iron plates so I may be a little low on those nope we have 64 which is actually perfect so I’m going to place those in and then drop 64 plates in and we will see these in operation and right now they are producing reactor cases at a pretty significant Pace I mean that is incredibly fast going on here so now that I have way more reactor cases than I think I will ever need I can now start to produce things for example like this reactor glass which just requires these casings and a little glass and then all of these other components uh other than uh the heat pipes and stuff uh they just require these uh reactor casings so yes we do need these now there is one thing I want to note right here at the beginning and it doesn’t really make it entirely clear so we’re going to have to do some testing on this but what I don’t understand is if this is specifically for boilers or if this will actually work with for example the uh the basins um so any of the Basin recipes that require heat for example I don’t know if this boiler heater will work in place of the blaze burner however this does require a blaze burner in order to actually craft so it kind of gives hints to that but I don’t truly know as the documentation well just is non-existent other than just the Ponder system now to my understanding each one of of these individual fuels uh will last 10 minutes um inside of their reactor Rod um so that is something to keep in note and I did do the math last episode and and kind of figured out that I am definitely producing about 20 every 10 minutes so in reality I probably could support 20 rods however I just don’t know if I can support getting rid of that much heat because if the reactor cores receive too much heat they can overheat um and that will spell disaster as that will produce that corium block that I do not want to be producing Now using the information in the Ponder system it kind of makes it look like that once you have a full reactor set up each of these rods can power one of these to fuel to full that would be my understanding of this Ponder but it may not actually be the case um we’re going to have to do some testing so if I wanted to supply nine of these I would probably need nine of them total to be able to supply but like I said I I don’t know if that’s 100% the case and there’s that corium block by the way which just seems so scary something interesting to note that our regular crafter here is not going to be big enough so I am going to have to extend onto the crafter here to make it fit uh because I think we need a four wide is what it looks like to be able to make these rods yeah so it’s a fourx five in size which we do have the five but we did not have the four so now we have the perfect size and so each of these corner pieces right here are going to go in and this is all to make the rod by the way two cores in the center once I do this once I usually have it memorized then we’ll have our gold sheets like that and then glass uh and then we also I think that’s it I think that’s all we need for the the rods yeah and then we just hit the button and there it goes this is now crafted our reactor rod and uh I think to sort of start out I I don’t know if I want to build a 3X3 one or just a regular 3 one you can build this by the way as small as a single Rod block um which might be worth doing also this appears to emit light yeah it kind of is acting like a light block to at least the light mod um so building this out I mean building it out as small as it can go um it will kind of look like this you’ll have your reactor casing and then we are going to have to send it fuel so we’ll send it fuel via VIA this uh reactor fuel injector um and something I also don’t know is if I can have this vertically or horizontal that would be kind of interesting to note it looks like it could work that way that way we can kind of orientate it however we want but the rod should go in here and this one go sideways for example um let’s go ahead and put our fuel inserter so this is going to insert fuel into this rod and then we are going to use this heat pipe here to pull heat off of this and you can see that that t per you know so much um and then that is going to be able to uh receive it so we can then cover this for example like so with some reactor glass and this is basically a reactor right now now keep in mind here in this steampunk pack this is the first time I’ve ever played with the create new age mod further than just generating power with it um so this is all completely new to me um now to be able to turn this on and actually generate some heat I mean I don’t know if that’s a good idea or bad idea but we could go ahead and turn it on and kind of see what the effects are of utilizing one of these rods now a quick and easy way to insert is to use a funnel and if you didn’t know you can actually hand insert items into funnels if this is rotated the correct way by simply right clicking the item onto the funnel and when you do that you can see this is now glowing and this should now be generating some heat but it has nowhere to go but we should be able to pipe it out for example by using these heat pipes to distribute that heat out of here and so that is going to start pulling that heat out it’s going to continue going out and out and out and out and out but there’s there’s nothing yet for it to go to um so I’m kind of worried I don’t know how to turn this on and off and I don’t know if you can turn the rods on and off so if this core reaches that ultimate temperature of like 10,000 then we’re definitely in trouble yeah I I probably should hurry up and craft the boiler oh boy I’m I’m wasting time here okay so let’s go ahead and use this and we are going to attach this to a boiler and that is now heated up and okay so it looks like it does have different levels so we have 50 100t and 400t and then greater than 500t and this appears to be above 500t right now which is white uh now the more heat apparently you give it the hotter it’s going to burn um but like I said I do not know if these work I guess this would be the ultimate test to see if these work um if they work for example on the basins for like mixing recipes so this should be the perfect test right here here so there is a recipe for example with three course FL fruit in a bottle that needs regular heat and if I toss these items in and I give it a mix this should work okay that is fantastic and that should have created an item this one right here chorus juice that requires heating so yes these do work in place of the burners and it does appear like this is superheated like this has to be super heated CU that’s the highest here can go now something else to note this only extracts 600t so it does look like this is still slightly increasing in the heat so just one of these is not going to be enough nor is just one heat extraction vent as that only can pull so much apparently yeah so if I judge the math here it says right here this is releasing 500 T per second this one right here is extracting 600 T per second so at that rate we are currently gaining Heat at 100t per second uh from what my judgment is off of this um so yes there’s got to be some interesting mathing involved now interestingly enough there is another item here that is called the Sterling engine now this uses heat in order to generate some stress units and it generates 1,24 stress units which is the equivalent of two large water wheels that is spinning at the same rate as what a normal water wheel would spin now knowing this and knowing that it uses exactly 100 that now makes total sense so basically we could keep this running at Max 500 and this spinning at its current rate and this is now consuming all that this one rod is now producing ah that makes a lot more sense so after playing around with this a little bit you could essentially use this to always keep for example this spinning which works out perfectly fine so it basically automates at least one setup within one reactor something else to note I did include a heat pump here and that really helped with the like flickering that this would do from these pipes not being able to what appears to be effectively carrying the heat uh through the pipe on longer distances so something I will note this has been burning for a very long time I think more than 10 minutes it’s had to have been more than 10 minutes um but something that I will note here the rate of pump notice it says that this is at 596 which is a little less than I actually need to run these things however they are staying exactly where they need to be at which seems so weird th this whole rate of like change and like everything I’ve got to sort of figure out is is very hard to to see when the numbers rapidly change like this so honestly I will be clear I have no idea what I’m doing at this point so I guess from this point for I am basing everything off of wild assumptions and that is that this needs to be nine blocks long and well maybe we could do this vertically but I’m afraid to break this block while it’s still running and I I don’t know how long this is going to stay running I think mistakes were made here so finally this reactor burned out and I will say this was longer than 10 minutes so I don’t know exactly how long that was but it was definitely more than 10 minutes it had to have been so so this makes me even more certain that we are producing way more of the rods than we actively need now something I do want to sort of test out here is well how can we actually set this up can we do it vertically I mean I would assume that this could be set up vertically and if so that would make for a really cool little spot right here that will have this set up but also all of the heat being distributed from the top and we could have Pip running up and then ultimately powering a massive massive steam engine so how about right here this seems like the perfect place for this massive thing um and let’s see can we put on the bottom of it a fuel inserter okay we can put one here um which is not exactly where I want it because I do need another Rod there right um so let’s put another rod and these these rods do allow me to place them vertically so that’s really nice so what we could do is down here we can connect up to our main system and we can route a pipe over here that inserts the rods in now what’s supposed to happen is this fuel inserter should insert the power or insert the fuel into each Rod that is connected to it so 1 two 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 so with that that should be the biggest version that we can create now each of these do provide heat to all of these uh but in my case I am going to need at least of at least nine of these heat extractor vents so I do want to try and make sure these are evenly distributed throughout but supposedly the heat is supposed to distribute through this whole thing now notice it says now the heat capacity is 26,000 which is definitely way higher than it was with just the single one now this is where my maths are all off and also this setup right here is way more dangerous than the prior laying it vertically because remember those blocks that fall down yeah it could fall down onto all of these rods if the top one gets overheated and then this whole thing just completely Burns itself out but you know if that happens I mean it’s probably for the best so that way all of the other ones don’t generate even more yeah that could lead to catastrophe or should I say calamitous for all of my destiny 2 people you get the reference so with just a few heat vents here and a few glass casings here we should have oursel a vertical reactor which I think looks way cooler than having it laying on its side plus it takes up a different kind of space now let’s try out this uh this interesting heat setup now I I don’t think that this is going to 100% distribute everything the way I really want it to be distributed but we’ll find out as we go now I’m going to place these over here for right now and utilize some more of my heat pipes and hopefully route some heat down here as well just in case because I don’t want this overheating I think that would be worse than anything else that could possibly happen right now um but all of these directly connected should hopefully take all the heat from these rods and send it into these boiler heaters that are up top here um and then that’s where I could have that massive steam engine that I was talking about set up on it um now I think everything yeah everything looks okay and looks like it’s supposed to I mean we just got a feed it fuel now I do want to give this a quick Boop test to see if it’s going to work so I have nine of these here and I should be able to click them into this and that should send to all of the rods which it does and it looks like it is working and we do have heat now flowing and these should eventually turn completely hot I’ve got to keep an eye out on all of this though and make sure this these heat pipes are Distributing properly properly because these will still burn down at 10K it looks like but it does look like these rods will only burn down when it hits 26k I think it was or 20 something K you can’t read it if you’re if you can’t see inside and if I open this I will be affected with radiation unfortunately now these are definitely at Max these are being fed as much as it can possibly handle which might pose an issue to these up top not being able to receive as much um but that could be where heat pumps might actually be needed so we might be able to for example use use heat pumps right here to feed the heat into here more directly um so let’s try heat pumps on both sides that way we can hopefully have this distributed into this um and then we could still use potentially heat pumps down here I just I I have to figure and make sure that this works first cuz this is the priority okay now is what I should probably get a little bit concerned because I was looking at these numbers and the extraction rates are way different than I was experiencing before um with I me seeing extraction rates exceeding 600 which completely changes everything I had mathed out I mean at least these are running at full speed I but maybe if I removed these they would run but I’m afraid that if the core temperature of this which is ex it’s reaching the the danger level by the way um yeah if that oh no okay so those will turn into lava by the way if they get over the 10,000 so maybe I need even more heat extractors they are setting at about 6.5 but oh no I’m just a Minecrafter I’m I’m I’m not a nuclear scientist I I shouldn’t be doing this so I think I’ve successfully got the power leading out like it’s supposed to okay and I I added a pump here and a pup here in between these gaps and these are now looking better on temperature and these are now looking better up here on temperature I also kind of spread this out and these are now all white which means they are now burning at the temperature they need to be I just got to keep an eye and make sure they do not exceed that 10,000 Mark but if this is all where it needs to be this is functioning appropriately and I think we may have maximized our setup so now in my Endeavors of trying to figure this out I think I have figured it out so did remove any of the other heat sources that were down here um and basically what I have is 1 2 let’s see 3 4 5 6 78 I’m using eight cerling engines here and this still may be too many uh or maybe not enough but we’ll find out but I’m going to be using this and combine the power and I’m sending that into rotational speed controller CU I do want to combine these together into one power system and then I can use that to power a pump um so this will be kind of self-supplying uh with water now as far as the max size of our sort of system here all I’ve got to do is start laying these down and as soon as this is down uh to be able to convert this and see this with my goggles I just need to put an engine on here and so now I can see the max size so this is only a size two but as soon as I start putting this on here now you can see the size is increasing and we need to set this up until it says it is at Max size you can already see it is at Max heat but we need this this to be Max size and oh good goodness does it continue to go even further than this or is the is this maxed out on the size already will it not go any higher than that I mean I know it doesn’t go out any larger so I don’t I don’t actually know it doesn’t seem like that is that size meter going up I I don’t think it is and I am officially out of material oh wow it is actually at 18 but the bar just gets larger if it starts to fill up because notice this bar is much shorter than what this bar is already at oh that’s interesting that the size like increases to fit that scale so I need to make sure cuz that was at a Max size of 18 and this still seems like it’s at a Max size of 18 I’m going to have to keep lowering this down until it starts to go down in size oh goodness so this is now effectively at a Max 18 so that is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 eight tall okay so that is an eight tall steam engine ready to go uh now the main thing that we need to do is we need to set up our pumps and allow our pumps to pull water and I think I want to set up the pumps to pull water from the sides and then that should be pretty darn good now as far as filling this water in there’s actually some interesting things that we can do to actually make these trap doors sort of fit into the corner section here and that is whenever you place them in if you place them in from the inside you can waterlog this trap door and the water actually does not escape on the Outer Edge uh making the inner edges a little bit easier to sort of kind of contain water in like a 3X3 space like this yeah and this will just make things look a little bit neater so this is perfect all I got to do now is feed this water and this will turn on um and so I’m going to rotate this to supply the tank with water and then we just need to play around with the rotational speed controller to get the right amount of water in here cuz right now it’s it’s not pumping enough so if I up this I don’t know what I can up it to before it starts to stress but I want to send it as much as it can go oh wow there’s no way wait we can we can Max this out 256 okay off of just this small amount of stress and there we go full steam this is literally the max size we can go and we’ve already achieved it I’m just going to I’m just going to up the water just just for the ls might as well but there we go is this the ultimate goal of the pack I mean it is Steam Punk and we have officially made the largest steam engine you can actually make using the create mods and add-ons and this is producing almost 300,000 almost 300,000 Su off of one this one is producing the same as basically what all of this is actually this is producing a little bit more but still this thing right here this monstrosity is producing everything we could ever want um and so this is one I’m assuming we can have 18 steam engines running on this thing 18 steam engines is what this is capable of I think holding because uh for example a level 9 supports nine steam engines this is a level 18 right a level 18 it just says Max it doesn’t even say 18 but it is a Max size boiler I’ve got to see this though like how how fast does that spin I mean that is pretty fast so yes it’s this number right here divided by 16 which I mean that should equal how many steam engines we should need so when this thing is running at Max with all of its components connected to this on the 18 steam engines this thing is now producing all of that power and and it is basically a 3X3 two 3×3 of steam engines right here now to make sure this is fully up and running all we have to do now is connect in our system and so I’m going to connect that here here and then that should be supplying that fully and which it is cuz all of it turned on and and we are now sending rods from here using that inventory Hopper to make sure to keep that supplied this is now up and running again and that heat is going to build back up to Max Capacity and now all I have to do is tap it into our system and to do this I have essentially connected all of this up and I’ve done this in a way to kind of make it look interesting not necessarily the most functional way to do it um and then down here I am linking this in with a speed controller basically allowing this to be connected directly into here and I should be able to do this with for example a gearbox so we just need a gearbox and a shaft and we should be golden oh I’m excited for this okay shaft in and uh I think this is going in the opposite direction and that broke the control um so I I think we might be producing too much is there actually a too much stress I don’t know if that’s the case can you produce more than enough stress on the system I was also thinking about tapping it into this system as well I just don’t know if that’s possible I think I might need to just match this thing’s RPM so our main setup here I just need to match this which feels like it’s running at about 32 that feels about right um and then I would just need to gearbox into this okay and that still broke it oh no now I’m going to use a speedometer right here to find out the exact speed so this is going at 64 so I’ve tapped into the main Network and knowing that this is spinning at 64 and then figuring out how fast this is spinning which is at 4 RPM we should be able to then set this to 4 RPM and then we should be able to tap into this up here it it just won’t let me I’m now trying it again I have this rotating in a different direction and I have it connected to it first and there we go okay so it just took a little bit of finagling but I did get it and this should now be fully connected to the grid and when we look we should see how much stress we actually have a total of 82,000 Su that is so much I have no idea outside of just spinning up the map coils I have no idea what we could use this stress for but this is definitely turned into a steampunky thing just look at this monstrosity now we definitely want to make sure this does have some supports so I want to use a couple of things like this for example and we can set up and make it look like it has a giant like shaft thing holding it up which definitely fits the theme I think and same over here making sure to not make them perfect getting that scaffolding to go all the way up and also one on the other side it’s definitely needed so I had to break a block and oh I got I almost got killed uh but I had to break a block in the middle of this because I felt like there was an issue with the fuel inserter um now these are not displaying right now um but yes I this did not seem like it was activated so I went ahead and broke the fuel inserter there was some rods in there um it nearly killed me that was kind of interesting but what I want to try now is instead using a chot down here instead of directly connecting to it to hopefully avoid issues like that and so what I have is a fan here spinning underneath a chute and now we should be able to send the items into the Chute uh connected this way one at a time hopefully and to do this I just need to add my controller and there we go now this is going in but I’m noticing it’s not actually activating any of the rods which seems a little odd now I mean honestly I have no idea it’s not displaying uh but these are completely empty on heat but the steam engine is still burning at Max heat so I I have no idea I honestly feel like this whole chunk is is slowly becoming corrupted at this point I I have no idea that should function though uh it just might need a pack reload I have no idea and yep just a simple pack reload and it is now displaying everything correctly that was very odd I mean I knew it was working because the this was working and there it goes so now it is at Max I think it also might have broke some stuff with create having that extended bar there you can see the bar just extending because the heat actually exceeds the max level heat um but eventually this will round itself back out now that it’s all functioning correctly oh that was interesting now there we go we have a Max Level steam engine now something to kind of make this look a little cool is to maybe just add some smoke coming off the top by adding some like chimneys up here and these things are kind of like small little uh campfires basically but those being up there just add a little bit extra I think to this whole thing so with that we have now maximized create I think this is literally the most you can the most stress you can generate from a steam boiler and well if you did enjoy today’s video be sure to click that subscribe button if
