Unbelievable! The Ultimate Minecraft Xbox Shader Pack!

What’s going on everybody it’s Smitty back with another video today I’m going to be showing you all how you can download the pogy’s Luminous Dreams Deferred Shader pack on any Xbox One Xbox series console this is definitely one of the best deferred Shader packs out there and it’s kept very up toate

There’s just a weird step that we have to do in order to get this to work but if you guys want mods skins texture packs anything else on your Xbox I have a website linked down below with videos on how to do that for free but without

Any further Ado let’s get into how to get pogy’s Shader pack and again this will only work on Minecraft preview version as of today but in the future this will work in the full release of the game but yes this is only for Minecraft preview as of right now let’s

Begin all right so the first thing you want to do is go to the Microsoft Store and download this application called file downloader it’ll look exactly like this you’ll see it appear once you type in the name but go ahead and get file downloader onto your Xbox it is 100%

Free but after you’ve done that now we have to go and download the mods so go ahead and open up Microsoft Edge on your Xbox every Xbox should have it once you’re inside of Microsoft Edge go to the top search bar and just type in pagies Shader mCP DL and that’s all that

You have to enter in right there if you want to get this really good Shader pack so search for that and then once you do that it will be the top search result right here whatever version you’re on pogy’s luminous dreams is what it’s called and we’re going to press on that

Top link the Deferred pack it’ll then take you to this page right here and what you want to do is just scroll to the bottom of this page where it says download the latest version under the downloads Tab and that is the green link that we want to press on it’ll say

You’re leaving the site that’s okay press on the green Link in the middle of your screen to continue and after you do that it’ll take you to this website right here called boost stellar and this is kind of a really annoying website people have issues with this if you

Can’t get past this website join my Discord down below and we’ll try and find a fix but here’s how I get past this website so I press on where it says click on ADD right here after you press on that you want to go to where it says

Visit page and we’re going to press on visit page it’ll then take you to right here it’ll say this site has been reported as unsafe I believe it actually is safe though I’ve never had any issues I go to where it says more information right here there’s a drop- down arrow

Then I go down to the bottom door it says continue to the unsafe site and I press on that it’ll then take you to a new page and once you open up this page you can actually go to the top of your screen to this tab and close out of the

New tab that was opened up after you pressed on that it’ll take you back into boost stellar and what we’re trying to do right here is to get this purple unlock content button to light up so we can press on it it didn’t work for this

First time so I go ahead and do all the steps again I click on the purple click on ADD button then I go to visit page it’ll say this site has been reported as unsafe and I just redo all of these steps it opens up a new tab then I close

Out of the new tab in the top right here of my screen and this time once I close out as you can see the unlocked progress goes up one for one and I can now go to where it says unlock content and that’s how I get by Boost Stellar so you can

Then press on unlock content if for some reason you are struggling with this step join my Discord down below and I’ll try to help but once you press on unlock content it’ll take you to this media fire page and what you want to do is

Hover over the top URL up here with your cursor once you’re hovering over that you want to press the button with the three lines on it on your controller then you want to go down from these options to where it says copy and we’re going to copy that entire URL and once

You have that link copied you are ready to close on a Microsoft Edge and now we have to use another file browser app and this app is called my files Explorer and it’ll look exactly like this and you actually have to go into the Microsoft Store and download this it has a 1-day

Free trial and if not that it’s $2 50 if you want a 100% free method to getting mods I have that linked on my website down below but go ahead and get my files Explorer onto your device once you are inside of my files Explorer you will get

This pop up on your screen that says you need to install whatever whatever go to the left option that says install from store and that is the one that you want to press so we press on install from store and once you press on that it’ll actually take you back into the

Microsoft shop again and now it’ll be an app called expansion for explorers and you want to get expansion for explorers installed onto your Xbox so just press install on that and you will now have expansion for explorers it’ll look exactly like this and this is the app

That we now want to open once inside of expansion what you want to do is locate on the top left this download from URL button and you want to press on that once you press on the download from URL button it’ll take you to the browser inside of expansion and you want to

Hover over the top URL right here with your cursor press a then press the button with the three lines on it and you want to go to where it says paste right here because we want to paste in our download link so you go ahead and you press on paste after pressing on

Paste hover over the URL with your cursor and just press a on it then you can go all the way to the right side here to this next Arrow and you can press on the next Arrow it’ll then take you back to that media fire page pogy’s

Luminous dreams and this time you can press on that blue download button and it will automatically begin downloading that texture pack to your device and it may take a minute but once it’s done it’ll take you to this screen right here your expansions folder and what you want

To do is hover over the new Shader pack press the button with up through lines on it on your controller and then go down to where it says copy file right here and we’re going to copy that entire MC pack then you want to go to the left

Side of your screen to where it says downloads right here and we’re going to press on that downloads folder once inside of the downloads folder find any open white space with your cursor you want to press the button with the three lines on it yet again on your controller

And then you want to go to where it says paste so we’re just going to move that uh MC pack into the downloads folder right here you press on paste and it will now appear right there that’s perfect then you want to make sure you’re hovering over the Shader pack

Press the button with the three lines on it on your control roller and we’re going to go to where it says rename right here and we’re going to rename the Shader pack and make sure it ends in zip as opposed to MC pack that’s all you

Have to do just make sure it ends in zip do zip so it’s now azip file and that’s perfect press enter and it will now look like this and now what you want to do is find any open white space with your cursor press the button with the three

Lines on it again this time we’re going to go to where it says new folder make sure you press on new folder and not new file it has to be new folder so you press on the new folder button it’ll then ask you for a name you can name it

Whatever you want but I just name it poy so go ahead and create that new folder and it will then look exactly like this once you have the folder and the Shader pack into your download section and once you have the folder and the Shader looking like this you can close out of

Expansion for explorers and now you want to go into that file downloader app that we downloaded right away for free at the beginning of the video and once you’re in file downloader go to the button with the three lines on it on the left side

Of your screen then go down to where it says storage right here and after pressing on storage it’ll look like this and from these options you want to go to where it says mapped folders and after pressing on the mapped folders button it’ll then take you in here there

Shouldn’t be anything go down to this plus button right here on the bottom of your screen and you want to press on that plus button it’ll then basically ask you it’ll take you to this screen right here you want to go down one button on the left side right here press

On it then you want to go to the right to where it says downloads on the right side of your screen it’ll say this device then it will say downloads and in here you will see those folders and those files that you were messing with earlier don’t press on any of these

Folders or these files instead go to where it says select down there the green select button on your screen and you just want to press on that and then you want to go to where it says right here so you basically mapped a folder to your downloads folder so after pressing

On okay that downloads folder will then appear right here and you want to press on that downloads folder and once you are inside of the downloads folder you want to go to that zip file that we created right here this is the Shader pack press on that zip file once you’re

Inside of the zip file it’ll say refreshing after saying refreshing you’ll then see pagy luminous folder right here and you want to press on this folder to enter it and once you are inside of this folder you will see all of the Shader pack information appear so

Here it all is now what you want to do is Select these little squares next to all the files except for the sub packs folder so I press on all of these squares to basically put check marks by them do not put a check next to the sub

Packs folder leave that blank so everything should be selected except those sub packs then you want to go to the bottom of your screen and press on this button right here this will be the copy button after you press on the copy button go to where it says up right here

We’re going to press on on the up button once it’ll load for a little bit then you actually want to go ahead and press on the up button again once it loads in so we press up once press up twice once you press on up for the second time

It’ll load you back into your downloads folder pretty much now you want to go to the pogy folder that we created the top one right here and you want to press on pogy’s folder you’ll go inside of it then you want to press this button down here to basically paste all of that

Information into the pagy folder and it shouldn’t take too long maybe about a minute but it’ll say pasting and then it will refresh and all of your stuff will be right here and that’s perfect you can now go ahead and close out of the uh file downloader app and now you want to

Go back into expansion for explorers as we have to manage some files so go to the left go into your downloads folder again once you’re inside of expansions and once you’re inside of your downloads folder we want to locate that poy folder right here that we moved all of the

Information into so we press on the poy folder now inside of this folder you want to look for the manifest.json file and you want to press on that manifest file after you do that you want to go to where it says open right here and we’re

Going to Simply press press on open now there is a number that we have to change right here where it says minimum engine version 12050 or whatever it says for you all you want to do is change the last digit right here the 50 change that

To 12 as opposed to 50 so it now reads 122 that’s what you want to change that to and make sure you don’t mess up anything else in here as if you mess anything up the pack won’t work but change that to 122 then press B then go

To the top middle of your screen to where it says save file and you want to press on save file then of course you want to press on where says confirm so all we did was change the version number of that pack which is perfect it’ll then

Take you back to this screen and you want to press on the downloads folder again on the left side of your screen now you’ll see that poy folder again what you want to do is hover over that pogy file press the button with the three lines on it on your controller and

Then you want to go to where it says move folder and you want to press on that then after pressing on move folder we’re now going to go to the packages folder on the left side of our screen but once inside of the packages folder we now need to find the microsoft.

Minecraft uwp folder folder it’ll look exactly like here it’ll be in here amongst all these files but there is a chance that you won’t have this microsoft. Minecraft folder if you don’t have this folder if it doesn’t show up you can simply add in the folder

Yourself and I have a video down below explaining so it’s a very common issue it’s missing check out the video down below you can add in the entire file path but you want to find this microsoft. Minecraft folder and then press on it once inside of that folder

You want to go to where it says local state after local state you want to go to where it says games then go into the com. Mojang folder and then finally in here is where we put our add-ons so because this is a Shader pack you want to locate the resource uncore packs

Folder and press on it once you’re inside of the resource uncore packs folder find any open white space with your cursor press the button with the three lines on it and then of course go down to where it says paste right here and we’re going to paste that Shader

Into the resource packs folder which is perfect it should be that folder right there and that’s what we want to see now you can go ahead and import as many add-ons as you want because the next step takes a little bit of time what we actually have to do is called the

Reinstall method and this reinstall method what we have to do is install an older version of Minecraft and then we update to the newer version of Minecraft and that pretty much loads in your add-ons now the big issue with this method is that there is a chance that it

Can corrupt your worlds for some reason and I think people say it corrupts your worlds if you already have add-ons on your worlds and you do the reinstall method there is a chance it can corrupt them and I’m not sure why that happens to be honest I’ve also heard stories of

Doing the reinstall method and it saves people’s corrupted worlds so it’s completely weird how it works but I will say there is a risk to doing this method so definitely take that into account here before you do the reinstall method and I will say it seems to work for the

Large majority of people and giving them their add-ons and keeping their world safe and for me actually it saved all my world so for me it’s always worked perfectly but the choice is yours but yeah if you want to do this method to load your add-ons what you want to do is

Import as many add-ons as you want before you do this you can just reinstall once and they will all show up but what you want to do now is close out of every single app on your Xbox just close everything and you actually want to go to your Minecraft go down to

Manage games and apps and you want to completely uninstall all of the Minecrafts off of your Xbox go ahead and confirm that get rid of all those Minecrafts then what you want to do is go to the Microsoft store on your console and launch that and once you are

Inside of the Microsoft store what you want to go ahead and search for is actually SpongeBob all right this is really weird how this works but go ahead and type in SpongeBob just like it’s shown on my screen right here and once you type this in what you want to do is

Look for this Minecraft add-on right here for $8 we won’t have to buy it but you want to find the SpongeBob add-on and press on it after pressing on this SpongeBob add-on it will take you to this page and once you’re at this page what you want to do is scroll down once

Scroll down twice and then scroll down one more time till you get to where it says works with and once you see works with you want to press on this Minecraft right here and then this should be the special version of Minecraft and you just want to press install on it if it

Doesn’t let you download it and it says not currently available or not sold separately I have a fix Down Below in the pinned comment on the website but go ahead and get this special version of Minecraft installing it’ll install like any other app and then once it finishes

You’ll see it right here in the recently installed you want to press on it it’ll say Minecraft needs an update and then you want to press where it says update and get that Minecraft updating if you have any issues with this installing step I’ll have a link down below to the

Website where there are other reinstall methods you can try but try this one out first you’ll then see it in your recently installed once it’s done updating and you want to press on that recently installed Minecraft and once youve loaded into this new special version of Minecraft you just want to

Press on play now you can either create a new world or go and edit any existing world I just create a new world but basically what you want to do is get to the edit World section and in the edit World section you want to go on the left

Side down to where it says resource packs where you go to activate resource packs and you want to press on that option and then once you press on resource unor packs right here you want to go to the right side to where it says available go down to where it says owned

And inside of owned you will see now the poies Luminous dreams Shader pack right here and you want to activate that to your world whether it’s a new world or an already existing world go ahead and activate that Shader pack and that’s perfect once you have that activated go

Ahead and load up the world and normal Minecraft and once you load in you’ll notice that you won’t have the shaders that’s normal but you activated the pack which is perfect again the shaders will only work in Minecraft preview so now we’re going to import this world into

Minecraft preview now what you want to do is actually close out of the world and save it’ll take you back to your world’s screen right here and what you want to do is you want to remember the name of the world so the name the date

And the size of the world we’ll have to remember that when importing it into Minecraft preview but once you have that memorized go ahead and open up Minecraft preview on your device you can download it for free off the Microsoft store if if you don’t have it but go ahead and

Launch Minecraft preview and once you’re inside of Minecraft preview what you want to do is just go to where it says play preview right here like you would any other day after pressing on play preview you want to go to where it says copy worlds from Minecraft release

Version and you want to press on that option and then right here you will see your Shader world right here you can check the date the size all of it these are all of your worlds in normal Minecraft so you want to find your world with the custom Shader on it and you

Want to press on it it’ll then ask you if you want to import the world that’s a yes press on import it’ll take a little bit of time it’ll then say would you like to play your world go to where it says no we do not want to play the world

Yet so press on no now you’ll see previous worlds your Shader world will appear right here and you want to press on the pencil icon of your Shader world so after you press on the pencil icon you want to go to the game settings right here then on the game settings go

To the right side and scroll all the way down to where it says experiments and you want to activate the render Dragon features for creators experiment right here we have to turn this on in order to make the shaders work press on that experiment go to where it says activate

Experiments it’ll then make a copy of your World it’ll take you back to this screen and from this you want to locate the copy of the world you just made press on the pencil icon to go back into that world and I just activate all the other experimental toggles on the right

Side you don’t have to do this at all but I just turned them all on cuz it’s Minecraft preview so let’s take advantage of that but once you have all the experiments turned on you have the shaders turned on activated go ahead and load into the Minecraft preview world

And once you load in you’ll notice that you have the shaders now if the shaders are not showing for you there’s one more step that you have to do go to the settings button right here so press pause go to the settings button once you’re inside of the settings go down to

Where it says video on the left side of the screen after you’re inside of the video settings go down on the right side to where it says Graphics mode and you want to make sure that you have your graphics mode set to deferred technical preview instead of fancy so deferred

Technical preview select that option Press B and you will then have the shaders but enjoy the shaders everyone this is a really cool pack hopefully it worked for you and until the next one it’s been Smitty have a great rest of your day peace out
