UNBELIEVABLE! TV in Vanilla Minecraft!

Wait what yes every Minecraft player has thought about having a working television in their base at some point well why can’t we I’ve made drivable Vehicles realistic terrain and even built outside of the build limit before so let’s see if it’s possible to make a working TV in vanilla Minecraft

Without using any mod the first thing I decided to do was figure out how to make pixels for a screen this wasn’t really possible in the past but luckily for us moang recently added the new block display entities to Minecraft if you haven’t seen these yet they’re spawnable

Entities you can give animations to that allow you to make some crazy stuff in Minecraft that looks modded I genuinely don’t understand why I’m the only one that ever talks about these like they’re one of the coolest entities ever added to Minecraft I don’t know why these aren’t everywhere anyways I decided to

Write a plugin that spawns thousands of these block displays in really tiny rows to resemble pixels on a screen but then I realized something if I want to use block displays for pixels on a a screen the screen pixels would only be limited to the block colors that are in

Minecraft so for example if I wanted a pixel to be stupid purple I’d have to settle for the closest Minecraft block to stupid purple and if there isn’t one that’s very close to stupid purple then the TV will just look weird like my uncle raisin so the next thing I did was

Start crying for quite a while it was actually a very long time I cried for just hours but then I remembered something my garlic bread was ready but then I remembered something else block displays weren’t the only display entities added to Minecraft recently wow text displays are basically the same

Entities that show you your player name tag above your head but with a bunch more settings you can change after getting this new idea I recoded the previous plugin to now create long rows of text displays full of square Unicode characters but um I made a little too

Many of them so I had to shrink it down a ton and retry it and uh the resolution is much smaller now and doesn’t light my computer on fire of course it took a bit of adjusting but when I finally felt like I understood it I moved on to the

You on the battlefield so like I was saying the next challenge I had to face was getting to getting the screen to print an image the way this works is that I pick an image file on my computer say this one sure and my plugin will go pixel by

Pixel on this image and copy the exact color onto each character in the text display screen in Minecraft okay guys this should be a big one so let’s turn off the TV reload the plugin and now if we turn it on it should show my screen I

Kind of there’s things here I don’t know why all the colors are like inverted or something it’s like really strange and it’s like sideways but like you can tell like if you rotated it to the left that that’s that’s my screen that’s that’s the plugin right there okay guys it’s officially

480p and um my computer is not doing too hot but it’s it’s there it’s it’s there okay now that thing’s fully coed so it should shrink down the whatever image I’m using to fit to this little display we have and that looks right that looks like code now of course it’s very small

Way in there’s like almost no overlap between the rows aside from like the background like the actual pixels don’t overlap like they’re all like kind of perfect I think it’s like just random colors that are nowhere near similar to what like the clouds are rainbow how are the clouds rainbow okay I wasn’t

Recording I was just testing things and suddenly I fixed all the colors so yay look at this it’s my screen so what I’m doing is um let me turn off the TV and turn it back on um it like generates this little screen like this based on

What my current screen’s doing so like if I move Minecraft to my main Monitor and we turn off the TV and turn it back on it should refresh with yeah my screenshot of what my game looks like which is crazy first of all this is ridiculous but what if I automated it to
