Welcome back everyone to enshrouded the demo yes it’s still the demo no worries this is the last part of my first look series if you haven’t seen the uh previous 10 episodes you’re welcome to to watch them before you watch this part um in this last part I

Want to actually rate the game so far what we know and please take everything I say with a little little grain of assult because this is still a demo we have no actually date when the when the game will go into maybe early access maybe we get a a full release version we

We don’t know at this point so everything is still uncertain U maybe there will be major changes to the game later that we don’t know about but from what I saw in the last 9 hours of of playing this there’s a quite some some stuff to talk about and a lot of good

Things as well as some things that could be improved on quite a bit and some things there in where I think the game is actually lacking but okay let’s actually get into this and uh right if the bat I would give give this game so

Far maybe seven or eight out of 10 and yeah that’s that’s actually pretty good A lot of people on YouTube that there seems to be a little bit of hype around this right now and it it’s kind of phrased as maybe the next big Survival

Game but it it is a maybe I mean we have to see that right now looks pretty good it has a lot of potential but having a lot of potential doesn’t mean that it will end up in absolute great title right I mean that’s just not the case

There are so many games that have a lot of potential and that absolutely goes unused so many games coming out and a lot of them look good and they turn out to be just straight up unplayable or bad or everything but okay so let’s see um

So as first point I actually want to mention the performance performance for me is a big thing in games and this is something that I still brag about while playing Path of Exile game that is out for I think 10 years now over 10 years and there are still sometimes huge

Performance issues with bad instances happening and something so performance also with with um Triple AAA titles having really bad performance but costing 6070 or dollars or whatever you pay I hate it and this was actually pretty good I was uh surprised in a positive way that the performance in this game is

Actually very very good and very stable while in my um very first 5 minutes I had a little a little bug a little glitch there but that was the I think the the only thing that where I had a real glitch or something not working um

As I think it was intended stuff like that so performance definitely a plus Point here pretty good for like for de demo that isn’t supposed to be early access like it’s it’s beta or maybe Alpha what we having here right now that’s that’s really good like there’s

So many beta tests I mean look back on darktide the darktide open Beta oh my God performance was really bad it’s an amazing game don’t get me wrong I love dark tide but the performance wow crazy bad same for a lot of other games but okay let’s go to the next Point next

Point Let’s see the building one of the big Parts on a lot of survival games building one of the core aspects for a lot of people like building is a big thing in survival games U I would say here it’s it’s really good um one of the

Good things is that the world is more or less um destructible and you can carve it out you can dig caves you have the freedom to make floating islands or floating things the game profits from that and actually uses this and it’s in the world design also very nice building

Is I would say like in Minecraft or portal kns cuz everything is dissolved in in blocks and items of a certain size like the doors but everything else like is in is in blocks so yeah very cool also that you have like a fix building

Zone I think is is okay I think that’s fine to to be a little bit limited I think that’s also a great aspect for multiplayer that you’re limited in how many building areas you can have and um how far and wide you can build cuz we we

See that in a lot of other survival titles like in aric or in COD Exiles where some people just build through the whole map and block off areas for other players and this is a good approach to that problem I would say so yeah building definitely another plus Point

Next on the list companions why is companions on this point don’t know um but it is the companion system so if I don’t know if we got a taming system um I didn’t see a lot that would be tameable right now cuz there’s a little

Bit of lack of creatures but I’ll get to that a little bit later um but the companion system you can get your own very own little helper NPCs and while I wish there was a little bit more voice acting and hopefully we see that later in the um full release version of

Something that would be great it’s I think it’s good it makes a lot of sense if you are um for me for the World building as well um you’re an adventurer you’re more less a warrior or caster um that you have like the blacksmith and Alchemist what we saw so far while

Playing the demo that those two definitely exist and there will be a lot more from the map size from what the map size tells me there will be a lot more of those dudes to find and get I think that’s cool and it’s fine that they can

Do that also for me reminds me a little bit on Conan Exiles but in con Exiles you obviously they’re not really companions they’re more like yeah let’s call it how it is they’re slaves right you enslave them and then they have to work for you

You can you can be a good enslaver a nicer enslaver after you did it but first of all you have to put them through a lot of pain by knocking them out and dragging them through the desert putting them in a wheel of pain and make them your THS and scoll them

Laborers let’s let’s call them laborers but essentially you make them your slaves while here um it is a law part those people uh are put into stasis Chambers to survive the big bad thing that happened and you’re waking them up to what rekindle the flame of of society

Of humanity it’s hard to say from what we know so far from the game B but yeah that that seems to be about it there like it I like it’s really cool um but I hope they will improve a little bit on it but so far that’s definitely another

Plus Point next is the world crafting how the world is crafting and so far I have to say I really like it everything fits in very well like the the runes are well crafted they don’t all look the same there’s a lot of stuff left over

From from the period when it was still um civilized and everything but when when more people were around like little pots staying around and they’re still a well and things like that you know you know uh yeah that’s just great it gives it a lot of character and sometimes game

Developers tend to lose that and make a lot of empty homes like they they have nice buildings but they’re they’re absolutely lifeless and empty there there’s no nothing that hints on that this was a building where people lived in right I mean that was one of the

Bigger problems in dark and Light that all of those buildings were really most of the part except for some crates standing around or some barrels most of the time pretty empty buildings with just one person standing inside didn’t make a lot of sense um here we have a

Lot of bigger buildings like the long keep where can see from the ruins that it was a little bit bigger and uh housed quite a few people training and living there the world is well crafted um we also have a lot of notes like a lot of

We have a lot of law bits lying around that give us a little bit of info what happened at this place what was going on here even if it’s not part of the main story um those little letters and and um yeah just just written notes they just

Great they they give a lot to the World building it’s a little bit like in Skyrim where you can just grab a book out of the next shelf and take a little look and even if it’s just a few a few pages it still it still gives so much to

The World building and so much realism to it that’s it’s just a great thing next is the survival aspect of the game and I think in this it it takes the valheim approach while you don’t need to eat and sleep and rest it is helpful to

Do so um it’s not like in let’s say more hardcore survival games like green hell as example where you really have to put a lot of effort into surviving which is great as well um but this approach is is a lot easier and it gives it it uh gives

More Focus to the other aspects of the game while it’s still maintaining that little bit of survival in it I think that’s fine I don’t think it’s a big plus Point um but it’s also not a minus it’s it’s okay right it’s it’s fine like this it’s not like oh yeah I’m so

Surprised this was just great no no it’s it’s okay it’s okay so the graphics are good there’s nothing too flimsy uh everything it looks fine everything fits F together what else the music music is a it’s I don’t know I don’t really know that little bit of music that we got was

Fine it was okay but it was in the same way as it was nice to hear for half a minute if it I mean didn’t there wasn’t a lot of music in it so far um but it was very forgettable it’s not like when you lock into valheim and they you have

Some amazing soundtracks even if they repeat over and over again they’re still very like in other games like in Sky one of the other demos I played during nextfest um which has an absolutely amazing soundtrack or let’s say God of War what the hell good of what it’s such an amazing soundtrack was just great I mean games can do so much with music and for me that was always a big Point as I’m a musician myself as well and I think it’s a missed opportunity right

Now and maybe they work on this later we will see so but so far this is like a a neutral I would say it’s a neutral point um the puzzles let’s see okay the puzzles so we’re getting little that’s not really puzzles it’s more like a little bit of more staging It’s a

Combination of simple puzzling and and a little bit of of uh PL forming and digging stuff you know you can discover things it’s okay it’s it’s fine it’s not like in Legend of Zelda uh in breath of the wild where it was really well made it’s was just great

Here I would say it could be a little bit more it it depends on how they how much they want to they want to put into that I would say um for the rest of the game if they want to keep it simple and nice and more like go more into to the

Platforming things yeah that’s fine too that’s absolutely okay um but it’s it’s not not very impressive so far but it’s okay it’s okay let’s see the crafting system so far pretty simple you craft your own items like the blacksmith gave us a lot of recipes every time more or less every time you

Find a new resource you get new crafting recipes very much like in valheim as well where you get the where you get the recipes when you pick up the things so yeah absolutely okay the upgrade system for weapons um very interesting it didn’t look like it has a very very big

Impact on the game play so far and I upgraded quite a few weapons but of course I mean this is in the very early stage in the game I think maybe they should introduce that a little bit later like when you’re in maybe 20 hours or something maybe when you left the the

First Zone this first area that we could access in the demo right now maybe then that should come into play um right at the start I think it’s a little bit too much and it doesn’t seem too impactful right now I mean that’s that’s nor the

Case at the start of the game the stats are not too impressive so there’s not much happening there it’s still fine um I think it was a good idea to show off those magical weapons and stuff those legendary weapons and rare and Legend and unique stuff unique things

They look really cool but they don’t feel very impactful for for what they look like I mean if they would perform as amazing as they look like I guess I would feel way too overpowered because I I feel op already with just a sword and shield okay I think that’s a good point

To get over to the next thing that is the fighting um first of all let’s start with the magic it’s fine I think it it reminds me a lot of dark and light where where spells are like ammunition and you consume them as well as you need Mana to

Perform a spell with staff I think that the wand should use Mana as well for its attacks cuz it’s a it’s a magic ranged attack so why is it not consuming Mana also it’s without consuming anything attacking is way too powerful uh same goes for the sword from

Melee fighting I don’t need stamina to attack I’m seriously I’m so op if you have seen the other episodes I it’s so strong you can just hack through those enemies no problem they don’t stand a chance um of course you have other aspects from from like Elden ring and

Other Souls games we have counters Parry you can block you can do a critical attack um through the skills I already saw there’s jumping attacks and stuff like but nothing of that consumes stamina and that’s actually pretty bad cuz you’re not you don’t have to give

The enemy an opening to attack you can just slash on them forever it it’s a little bit boring I’m I’m going to say it’s it feels a little bit boring cuz you can just you you just overpower them no problem so it’s not dangerous at all

Same goes for the first boss fight very very easy uh no challenge in the slightest it was very very way too easy uh and that boss I mean he he went down with two spells and a few hits so that wasn’t a big deal and I was it was

Unimpressive like I don’t know I it’s I don’t find the word right now but yeah it it wasn’t it wasn’t difficult enough I’d say I mean yeah of course I said it before it’s the start of the game maybe it shouldn’t be too difficult but on the

Other hand the game should show you that there is some danger in this world and that you are not OP and that’s definitely how I felt and I said it just a moment ago there is stuff like like critical attacks and and counters and jump attacks which you

Unlock through the skill system the skill system looks a lot like we have it in Diablo 4 right now or like in Path of Exile a little bit it’s a smaller skill tree it still looks it looks it looks fine from the size it’s hard to tell

Right now so this is kind of a neutral point um where I would say it it depends depends right how it will turn out in the end I mean we see about that when the game is finished right sadly maybe if I if the game is uh going on full

Release and I play it again I can give you a better a better opinion on the skill tree and I guess there’s only one more thing to talk about right now at least on my list that is definitely the Shroud the very core aspect one of the

Very core aspects of this game I mean it’s called and shrouded and everything seems to be connected to the Shroud it’s the law why we as the player are revived all seems to have to do uh with the Shroud I think it’s a cool feature to give zones that are only

That you only can access for a limited duration or limited time before you get killed or maybe they’re so dangerous like rout that they kill you an instant and you have to find something to overcome that or maybe you have to find some magic you change it from Red into

Blue shot I don’t know um but I think the Shroud could be way more intimidating I imagine and I think I said that before the first time I entered the Shroud I imagine like very maybe a lot bigger and very intimidating enemies that don’t stay on the main road

But they could roam around through the sh shroudy areas um and just try and hunt the player a little bit that do maybe they they they don’t have to go for you actively but that you feel haunted and and hunted while you are in the Shroud that you you constantly know

There is a certain amount of danger in there that you you can get around no problem if you keep your distance but if you’re not careful they might get you and I think there’s a there’s already um in the in the sound effects that play in the Shroud there is it’s it’s EMP

Empathizing on that I think it’s like it’s it’s already playing in that direction I really hope they do that that would be absolutely great um so far I would say the the Shroud is okay I guess we will see we will see in time about that um but

If any game developer of ined should watch this video and I I don’t think so no I’m a way too small Channel but if you should watch this video please please make the Shroud dangerous and creepy like scare the hell out of me make me make me pee

My pants my ragged pants yeah maybe not in the first trout but maybe in the second um but I think that’s it so far on my list as far as I can see I think that’s it and yeah I would say this game does a good job you can definitely say

That on copying a lot of good aspects from other games and combining them all together and I think that’s a good thing cuz a lot of games have good aspects but they miss a lot of stuff that’s in other games but if this game will become just

A copy of other survival games or if it can stand up on its own to lags shoudy lags maybe yeah um and and become a very very good promising big time title that can last for the next decade or something we will see we will see when
