Hey everybody it’s under my cap and welcome back to another video where today i’m going to be explaining each function of a command block and go into depth in each one now if you’re familiar with my channel i like to do a whole bunch of command tutorials So if you’re new make sure to leave a like and also subscribe to the channel i’m just simply doing this video just to help you know my viewers understand how to use a command block because a lot of my videos actually use a command block uh not the command line but without Further ado let’s get straight into this so as you can see i have two command blocks here and basically in the command block you’ve got this button here and it yeah it makes sense basically if the command block says needs redstone it will need redstone for it to work so as you can See when i click the button a redstone signal is transmitted into the command block and you can see that it says hello now on the other hand with an always active it will only activate once and it will only stay active for yeah once as you can see When i turn always active on you’ll see the command actually executes but it only does it once and if i had it on repeat you’ll see that it will constantly uh say hello um but yeah because it’s always active it doesn’t need a redstone signal now if we come over to the command Blocks over here we can talk about each individual one so as you can see over here the impulse command block only does one impulse of redstone so as you can see when i click the button you can see that only once does it execute the command so you can see Executes it successfully and you can see it in the output now the next command block basically does the same thing except it repeats every single tick so um instead of just executing the command once like the impulse block the repeat will constantly execute it so as you can see When i do this you can see it does it multiple times for the duration of the button click uh and it will constantly do that if you have redstone and as i said before it’s always active it’s going to constantly do this now one thing to keep in mind if you Don’t actually like having these messages pop up here it’s really simple to get rid of them i’ll just show you now because it really helps basically what you’d want to do is you want to do game rule and then we want to do command block output and set that false Now whenever we hit the button you can see that it doesn’t pop up which is really really cool now the next block this is the block which is apparently getting you guys it’s actually really simple once you understand it but the chain block is probably one of the coolest commands There is in minecraft or command blocks in minecraft now at the moment it doesn’t do much because we actually need to set it up in a chain which i’ve set up over here now chain command block actually goes on to the end of a command Line so as you can see uh if the command block is pointing this way you want to put the command or the chain block here so that the arrow is lining up if the arrows don’t line up it means that the command will not work And you have to line them up now what a chain to command block will do is we’ll actually check if the command before it was executed successfully and now this only works with the execute command so as you can see here i’ve got an xq command here and if it does work It means that the command in front of it will work or the conditional command block in front of it will work now if you want to learn more about the xq command i’ve got a link in the description and in the info card about my execute command video Now if we wanted to do conditional and unconditional formatting this is also where this one command is set or where you find it now this command only works or these two little buttons here only work for chain command blocks and the reason why is because it relies on conditional and unconditional formatting In the command for it so please note i may have said this before it only works with xq commands as if an xq command is doesn’t run properly it will say false and if it does run properly it will set as true so for example here i have a command Block here set to conditional and a command here set to uh only display a particle if i’m standing on a yellow block when i click the button so as you can see when i click it nothing happens because i’m not standing on the yellow wall but as soon as i stand on it You see that i get the command for the particles i don’t know if you can see it i’ll just change the speed you see i get the particles and i also get the sound which is in the conditional block now you’re probably wondering oh that’s pretty simple and yes it is And the other mode is really simple as well basically unconditional means that no matter what the command will constantly or always go through these two command blocks even if i’m actually not standing on the wall so if i click it you’ll see you still hear the sound which is playing through The conditional block but you notice that the xq command which is testing if i’m on the yellow block hasn’t tested true uh meaning that this block here actually isn’t seeing if it’s tested anything it’s only relying on the command block output now please note in this video i’ve had this Set to always active uh you do want this always set to always active just because the command block will only work if it has redstone power you can also put it next to a redstone block anything like that but if there is no redstone as you can See here it just won’t work but yeah so that’s basically a short command tutorial on the command block uh one of my viewers actually suggested this video to me so if you have any other ideas make sure to leave it in the description below i’ll make sure i read through them And get a whole bunch of more video ideas uh but yeah thank you so much for watching and i can’t wait to see you in the next video don’t forget to subscribe and yeah see ya [Applause] You Video Information
