Unfinished 8 Year Mod?! 😱 | Minecraft Modded Survival

Hello everyone my name is Apple guy and welcome back to more Minecraft Modded Survival as you can see we are here in the Twilight Forest cuz we’re going to be doing the final boss of the twilight forest mod and that is the giant we’re going to be having to sort of move on

Out in the correct direction uh it’s right there on the map I’ll just edit it so you can see uh where we’re headed uh but we’re going to be heading over there so like I have said in the past uh Twilight Forest is a mod that is not

Complete and uh it has been incomplete for uh like 9 years now eight years somewhere in there I think the final Castle was first added in 2015 uh and so you can sort of do like the reverse math on that to see when this game was started and it’s not done

Yet uh we’re going to check the advanc real quick just to make sure we’re going to the right place so we are working towards huh we do a little trolling find find and kill a cave troll obtain some magic beans in the troll caves use them to on the glowing soil beneath the

Clouds we have not done that yet actually I thought we were going to just go straight to the the giant but it looks like we need to find a cave troll first so where does one find a cave troll because here we are so if we land we are underneath a Giant’s tower

All right or Giant’s Tower Giant’s Cloud so let’s see what happens if we fly up there that’s the final castle by the way worry about that in a second but if we go up here what’s going to happen if we get up here anything no not

Quite so yeah this is me it’s that’s giant me as you can see he’s actually kind of cooking me like a little bit so uh we’re going to retreat see if we can’t hit him from afar okay we got him score that gives us the giant pickaxe which allows us to break giant

Cobblestones uh see we have a giant Cobblestone now okay cool what is the point of this are these guys not a boss are they not a boss it I don’t know I don’t know if they are or aren’t I mean we’ll take them all out they’re still spawning

We’ll take them out for the sake of taking them out but I don’t think they are bosses in the sense of you know they give you an item that you need to progress I mean I have Giants pickaxes now see that one just spawned okay so what happens if I

Try to just go straight to the can I get giant wood as well can I get giant everything hold on wait let me get the giant pickaxe out I can wait that’s fun this going to be giant wood wood or a bunch of small wood okay I got a bunch of fluffy clouds

Now I’m just going to dig straight down cuz it’s kind of funny there we go all right so what happens now if we just try and fly straight through okay so we’re in the thornlands there is still acid rain okay so that’s important to note acid rain still a

Thing so we need I guess one last step before we can go into the highlands I thought we had that though here we go embolden yourself for the highlands we’re there find and kill a c Troll and wait do we need to do this twice we need to do it twice okay

So uh where can a guy find a cave troll I’m down to to fight the the thing Troll and steine okay hold on this could be promising right this is these are like troll blocks right so maybe there’s a troll in here somewhere YooHoo uh Mr troll

I would like to beat the mod please I thought I thought it was almost done I thought I was done really jeez okay so I very quickly read a Wikipedia page and it said that they are just somewhere below the ground usually surrounded by that troll troll Steen stuff so I’m

Going to dig underground and then use my cave map because if they’re going to troll me I’m going to troll them back by knowing where they are this is also a great time to use the Giants pickaxe that we just picked up because we can dig like straight

There uh one downside is we will have a massive amount of cobblestone just kind of following us around like it’s inevitable which does kind of suck okay so we go down now how do we get to where we need to get to H down was the answer it seems all right so

Let’s take this guy out we’ll take this guy out as well okay hey hey there’s the troll I guess okay we do a little trolling we took care of the cave trolls very quick and easy now do I I don’t have any torches that sucks what’s

This give me give me this mush glow that doesn’t really help at all okay go away there we go spot a lag I can’t yes I can okay hold on there we go all right we’re safe give me uh a Flynn put him on the ceiling let’s get through this obsidian and

Hopefully there’s two uh two beans for us this looks like a gosh darn noobs faction base I’ll tell you that much okay there’s one magic beans just the one okay so now we need to go to another uh one of these we can go boom bang Bing okay let’s do that we’ll go

Out this way hello good to see see you don’t hit me that’s rude okay hold on more obsidian it looks like these obsidian sort of like spikes oh wait this is a massive obsidian hold on let me get in there this is going to take forever hold

On let me box myself in let’s get ourselves no Flynn give me Flyn give me Flyn there we go okay now is this going to take me the full like four minutes or whatever it takes to mine Cobblestone or uh mine obsidian with with a standard pickaxe no it it’s propagating pretty

Quickly the crack is I do believe yeah we’re getting there I think we’re like a couple seconds away great except this was a corner Which is less good I’m going to need to move over here Flynn come on no Flynn’s Left Behind then’s the rules you can go

Here okay let me actually go down because wow this is lagging every time I try and do anything right but let me break this here because otherwise I would be breaking another outside block like a perimeter this one will get me I think into the center of whatever this

Is hopefully it’s a massive treasure Vault uh and it has all the treasure we could ever need if not we’ll go and find a different obsidian thing to bust into and then we’ll get the bean stocks we’ll plant the beans and then I guess we’re just going straight to the final Castle because

Wait did I go all the way through the middle well that’s weird anyway I guess yeah I guess we’re going to go right to the uh right to the final Castle which like I said is is not complete this mod has no ending it it is very much so

Unfinished and it’s unfinished I think mainly because the original developer abandoned the project and so a new team of devs sort of took over and they are doing all sorts of things to like modernize the mod such as replacing how like structure generation works and stuff this is the laggiest thing I’ve

Ever seen in my life okay that’s actually oh that’s kind of oh it’s a lamp Of Cinders hold on what is a lamp Of Cinders that’s that sounds cool beans okay great we’ve got the beans what the freck all right let’s get out of here

I’m going to die oh my gosh wait who let that almost happen that is kind of goofy I’m like oh no I’m actually dead I’m actually dead here hold on actually dead here holy buckets dude I’m getting flashbacks to the stupid spider we just fought okay I think it’s actually going

To be wise if we warp Stone back to the house and then we just uh clear out the inventory and then we go again okay that was frightening for a second though anyway mod is incomplete because the original developer abandoned it and the new devs are sort of working on a lot of

Things one of those things is they are converting it from the way structure generated from like straight programming uh to structure blocks I guess which is something introduced in more modern versions of MC uh that are better for handling structures and so they’re doing that what is a lamp Of

Cinders okay hold on it it takes like a charge so I don’t want to use it in my wooden home does it like launch a fire okay it does something with a fire but we don’t know what I’ll keep that on me just in case uh so yeah apparently the can I eat

Magic beans I can’t no apparently yeah the finishing the final Castle is sort of on the back burner for this volunteer team uh and that means it has been incomplete for yeah years will it ever be complete maybe who knows Twilight force is a real

Old mod though so it’s just kind of cool that we have the ability to to play it um and that’s that’s why I wanted to use it in my modded series was because Twilight force is like a classic mod that’s a mod that I remember playing on

Like uh different packs and stuff okay so now I have to plant a bean stock I’m not shaking my mouse this is all the game and it grows a gigantic Bean stock very good all right so that’s half the advancement right okay make it past the thornlands nyi is not yet implemented I

Believe find a lamp of centers in the troll C you can burn away the thorn barriers wait I know what I need to do furb I know what we’re going to do today I guess if I go over here can I burn these like yeah nice okay cool but I

Don’t need to do that because I can just fly but yeah that’s kind of cool okay yeah we’re just going to fly into the uh entrance of the castle though okay final Castle POG let’s see if it has like an actual opening like an entrance of sorts we

Don’t want to we don’t want to rush it you know that might not be complete but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the ride so let’s let’s do that let’s see if we can find a way in like a you know can I break these I can’t really break them

In like a a quick way so that leads me to believe that there should be some sort of like entrance you know a way in okay that’s interesting that’s something but I don’t know if it’s a way in you know what maybe we will just like Drop in

Somewhere okay great pass the Thorns so very Castle wow okay that’s kind of cool do the do those reappear they do reappear okay so those are Vanishing blocks of some sort neat I guess this is sort of just like an exploration of the area because you

Know like I said it is not uh completing it because that is that is impossible although maybe we fight the Wither up there like that would be kind of cool maybe o that’s actually a really good idea I’m going to do that we’re going to fight the Wither up there next episode

Uh assuming we fight the Wither next episode just cuz that’s seems kind of cool it’s like a a way to have like a little finality um another thing I remember reading I did some research before I started this video as to like how long the final Castle’s just been chilling um

And one of the things that I remember reading is that in passing the torch to the new team uh they’re like kind of worried about making this final boss of the Twilight Forest like worth it you know I guess there’s like a little fear that uh

They won’t be able to like match the the sort of energy that uh the original developer had with the mod but I’d say you know being a volunteer you do what you can do right and if that’s not good enough for someone uh who are they to say what’s

Good and what’s bad but I do wonder if there’s like literally anything in here or if it’s straight up just blocks like I don’t see any mobs spawning even like zombies or whatever and I don’t see any loot chests but I guess that would be something you’d add

Like later on um hello Cloud so we’re going to be working that’s so funny when I said hello Cloud I was reminded of this video I saw of young Sheldon from the hit TV so uh young Sheldon of him just going hello baby it’s like a

Reference to a circus baby it was uh pretty funny actually hello baby I don’t know why he said it beyond the con because I mean it wasn’t a Five Nights at Freddy’s like reference when he said it but it just like became that okay so

I want to make sure I can walk in to the central structure and I guess this is how I’m going to do it all right see hey not always not not all functional it’s not all it’s not all there yet but that’s cool uh let’s go

Ahead and swoop in and uh This is How we get into like one of the the main sections it looks like so let’s open this up and okay so there’s all these doors to go to different corners and different rooms and stuff different Towers massive

Hold on let me get rid of these Skies or clouds there we go no clouds all right and then and then this okay this is interesting is this how you get in is this the official way of entering hold on this looks like it does this looks like something whoa wait this is

Rad okay so it looks like the idea is to sort of like fight your way up through the the Tower or these are like I don’t know Boss Rush rooms or something but it seems like in an effort to get to the top you have to go

Through you know and like you I don’t think you’re supposed to fly to the top like I did basically um and so even more so than like in the urg tower or whatever like you’re really you’re supposed to uh fight your way to the top of this thing and it is kind of

Cool it’s just it’s such a shame that after all this time I mean I understand why I’m not blaming anyone but it is a shame that after all this time you can play through twilight forest and get this like cool like lamp of the Cinders

And then well that’s it you know I don’t even know if I can get up to the final final area it looks like there is no staircase so I’m going to fly to the top with elytra oh hold on so the corner of these they do have wait this one has a

Staircase wait what is this the only one with a staircase I didn’t check this one oh this is like the only one I didn’t check and it has a staircase this one doesn’t have a staircase though right this one over here probably still has a door but I don’t think this has a

Staircase dude it does did I just miss that that’s crazy well I’ll run up the staircase I was going to fly but I’ll run up and I’ll Place some torches and then we’ll see what uh what we’ve got going on open this all right as you can

Just like I’m assigning the letters random things that kind of make sense um but yeah so Twilight Forest as well we can add that to our list of completed mods unfortunately nothing from the giant or the uh the trolls to show as like a uh you know a trophy we don’t get

Like a Troll’s head or like a Giant’s head or anything like that I we have the Giant’s pickaxe but that’s just like a pickaxe you know well maybe I’ll grab one of these blocks in like creative or something or whatever I mean I guess it’s that big of

A deal I might actually end up going into creative mode though to clear out this top section so that we can have like a little Arena to fight the Wither in because I think it’d be cool to fight the Wither at top here but it would require me to remove these like barriers

Whatever they may be but yeah ladies and gentlemen that is all for the twilight forest mod and that is yet another Domino to fall in completing this little mod pack that I’ve assembled so all we have to do now is fight the Wither that’s the final boss we have to fight
